What am I meant to be impressed about something. Not passively, no. Ripple won't impress you if you don't know about it. But if you do learn about it, then yes, you'll be extremely impressed.

I'm watching this one. Always interesting when an established company ventures into ICOs. I'm not buying yet though, but I will follow progress.

I'd put half in bitcoin, quarter in top alts, quarter in more speculative stuff. But make sure you research everything that you are going to buy. And if you are interested in trading, then keep up to date with all news that affects your coins, because markets move quickly.

I didn't vote, I don't think any of them. But it feels weird to say that Bancor or Aragon might be an Ethereum killer, as these are both Ethereum-based tokens.

Yes I think they are good for long term, but short term I am not sure... how much of the news is already factored in to the price now? Often there is buy the rumour sell the news, so prices might drop.

Thank you very much for this warning. There are criminals who try to take everyone's money, but there are also nice people like you who warn us of criminals ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Good news for bitcoin and Ethereum and also for cryptocurrencies in general. We are slowly heading towardss the mainstream.

The prices often move like that. If people put money in bitcoin, that usually means they have taken that money out of alts... so sell alts and buy bitcoin means bitcoin price goes up and alts go down.

I can't see anything replacing ETH as the top altcoin. It is too embedded now, it would take a lot to shift it. Maybe in the long term something might appear, but no real challengers right now.
|
|
|
People will buy and sell at different points. If you bought cheap you could sell some now and make huge profit, and maybe buy back in later if price drops. But if you bought at ATH then now would not be the right time to sell. Also if you need the money to pay for something, you might cash some out.

So Guys because im new to this bitcoin i want to know, what will happen if you send a token to a wallet that is not supported in that wallet?
If you send it to the wrong address it will be lost and can't be retreived. If you send it to the correct address then sometimes (with ERC20 tokens) you can add the coin to the wallet manually and then the coins will appear.

You need to thoroughly research the coin, so you know what it is you're dealing with. Then you need to keep up to date with developments / rumours. Finally you need experience of how the market behaves, which you can get from following any coin really.

|
I'd suggest reducing the number of coins you hold. The more you have, the harder it is to keep up with news on all of them, and you might miss something important. Also I'd add some BTC. Partly to hold and partly to let you do some quick trades if required.

I think it's a bit of a reach to say it offers a lot more than Ripple, which has been established for years and is a fixture in the top 4 of marketcap. I'm not knocking the project, just saying its a lot to say its already better than Ripple.

Hi, my question, is in the title, the ico was funded very fast, but i am quite sad to see its already below ico price as i invested in it, anyone know when the bounties are gonna be released ?
This always happens with ICOs, it doesn't say anything about the potential of the coin in the long term, it's just people flipping to get a quick profit. The same will probably happen again (but less noticeable) when bounties are released. If it's a good project, then just hold or trade to increase your position.

I'm quite pessimistic for the short term, everything has been struggling since early June. I know there was the big bitcoin event and everything fell... but as soon as it recovered there was China, Jamie Dimon etc. The market is really struggling to reach ATH. I think we might see a dip before November, and then a rise afterwards back to about where we are now. Hope I'm wrong though!

If you have been into cryptocurrency since 2010, then probably $3.2MM is not that much, there are a few good one that went 100x.
I wasn't around then, but I think this is harder than it sounds. If you are the sort of person to post on bitcointalk, as the OP obviously is, then you're the sort of person who tracks prices. In which case, say you invest $100, then you see it grow to $1000... $10000... $100000 I bet it's very hard to leave it all in there and not cash out until its in the millions. Probably easier to get millions if you bought in 2010 and then not even look at your wallet or prices again until 2017 ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I also don't think you should rely on buy/sell advice on this forum or on any forum. It's too easy for people to tell you to sell coins that they are wanting to buy, and buy coins that they are wanting to sell. You will get some genuine advice of course, but very hard to differentiate between the two as both can seem genuine.

I think its a good time to buy some Ethereum now. The most coins preparing for a next bullish leg up in the next couple of weeks. I think it could correct a little bit, but in longterm the price will grow up with bitcoin sooner or later ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) but there is a big fear regarding Ethereum these days. the fear that is caused by the upcoming hard fork that ETH must have otherwise it will no longer be useable because of the difficulty bomb. and when the hard fork happens a large number of people involved with ether will go away. these were miners who have been supporting and mining it so far. they will go to the next best thing and the media will be filled with that replacing ETH for pump and dumping. This is what I'm unsure about. Long term I think Eth will be fine and will massively increase, but short term I don't know. There could be a huge drop, but equally it could all pass with no damage to the price. Very difficult to predict the market.

My absolute favourite is bitcoin, because that is what started all of this, and it is still the biggest and best. But for the others, everyone will just say the one they hold that has grown most in price, so personal favourite depends a lot on the coins you bought and when you bought them.
