5321  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto Bet: A wider Array of Altcoins are being usef on: May 21, 2022, 06:39:23 AM
It will double in the next few years, I thought it's higher than that figure because almost every week we have a new casino launching here, these stable or old fiat casinos will soon accept Cryptocurrency because it's now what people prefer to play, they have privacy and anonymity compared to fiat where they are exposed.
It's a double-edged sword. It's true that we see new casinos popping up almost daily, but so do scam accusations and various issues from players who play at unlicensed and unknown platforms. If you get scammed by such a casino, chances are you will never get your money back.

Regulated fiat casinos are more secure in that regard, and you always have regulators and institutions to turn to if you aren't treated properly. Who do you turn to if you play at an unlicensed crypto casino that has no registered address, no public owner, and accepts only crypto? I am sure that some of the new crypto gambling sites are owned by scammers who got caught with their previous projects and now they are back with a new name and design.
5322  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: May 21, 2022, 06:31:09 AM
Glad to see it back online. There is a link to the Bitcointalk announcement page as well. Nice!
Hopefully, Google will include the official site in their search results one day as well.

But other search engines such as DuckDuckGo aren't any better either. When you do a search on "chipmixer", you have 4 fake sites among the first 4 results. chipminxer.com, chipmixér.com, chipmlxer.com/, and chipmixres.com. PLEASE DON'T VISIT THESE SITES!
I didn't check beyond the first couple of results, but there are surely more.
5323  Other / Archival / Re: Gambling Campaigns on: May 20, 2022, 01:05:32 PM
When you put up an ad, you target users who are likely to use your service, which is why Chipmixers and Bestchange don't accept users who mostly post in gambling boards. These campaigns mostly target users who post in Bitcoin discussion boards who are likely to use their services. Users who post about gambling are only of interest to casino companies because they are likely to use their services. I don't think there's much to discuss; it's just a standard way of running an ad to get the best results.
ChipMixer wants a presence on all sub boards as long as they can find suitable users to advertise them properly. Take a look at Trofo, for example. He is part of the ChipMixer campaign.

Trofo has written around 9000 posts on Bitcointalk. Almost 4000 of those are in the Gambling discussion sub.
The other forum subs he likes writing in include Altcoins (Hrvatski), Hrvatski (Croatian), Gambling, and Games and rounds. Actually, if you look at his all-time stats as shown on Ninjastic.space, his TOP 10 sub-forums are not Bitcoin-related. The Services section is in some way. Everything else is gambling, Croatian local, and altcoin boards.

Image board to Instagram Direct Messages with BigTimeGaming…
I don't see where BigTimeGaming has claimed that they are investigating the problem. To be fair, the person you spoke to said he would get someone from the team to look at it. And that's it.

Could you pressure Yahoo with the “have you got proof OP got paid” please?  I’ve yet to see any “proof” of any of Yahoos claims that Gamdom “paid me the next day”
I don't think pressuring Yahoo will get things moving because he is not part of the Gamdom team. He is a campaign manager who was in charge of their signature campaign on the forum. A campaign that has ended in the meantime. If Gamdom decided to stop caring about their reputation or even scam you, I don't think they would care much about what Yahoo thinks about it either. Additionally, yahoo62278 isn't the one claiming you received your money. He responded to my questions and told me the things that the Gamdom team allegedly told him. So those claims originate from Gamdom and the casino owner.

I am going to get in touch with the Gamdom casino support and see what they say when I send them the link to this scam accusation of yours.

Edit: Gamdom doesn't have live support. But I sent them an email. I will inform the community if and when they respond.
5325  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My experience with hotaex.net on: May 20, 2022, 09:30:07 AM
It's because of people like richie king that I wish this forum had a more strict guideline against scammers and not be so lenient with them. Giving people freedom to do what they want is great, but not when their actions can cause harm to others. If you spread malware links on Bitcointalk, you will get banned. If you advertise and post links to fake crypto recovery services that will take your money and disappear, that's OK, you are allowed to do that because of freedom of speech Roll Eyes.
5326  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [HELP] Please Show Me How to Create a Topic That I Can Moderate by Myself on: May 20, 2022, 09:18:35 AM
Some of my threads are self-moderated and it's neat feature to have. Sometimes I forget to tick the option and at other times I intentionally don't want a self-modded thread.

I personally don't like to see self-moderated threads when money is at stake or someone's reputation. People might question your motives if you are moderating such threads yourself. It makes it look like you are trying to hide something. But with the bots we have scrapping the forum nowadays, that's practically impossible to do.

I also remember seeing reputation threads or accusations against a person or group in threads that were self-moderated and had local rules that restricted those individuals from posting. That doesn't make much sense. You don't accuse someone of something but don't allow them to share their side of the story so that the community can approach the issue in a neutral way.
5327  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Urgent Warning: Gamdom fake unlicensed copy of games/ false Terms and Services on: May 20, 2022, 08:56:03 AM
So you did gamble away a part of your winnings considering that your account balance was $223.000 at one point, but when the account got closed it was down to approximately $200.000.

BigTimeGaming can look into this;
You said in one of your previous posts that BigTimeGaming has already started investigating. I already asked you how do you know that. Now I am asking again. How do you know there is an investigation ongoing, and can you post some proof where they told you this?
5328  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: May 20, 2022, 08:36:19 AM
I don't think relying on a third-party website (Bitcointalk) as a primary source for the real URL is a good idea...
You can't rely on Google either. They obviously don't know what they are doing or they don't care.

and I'm not sure how many people are going to verify it.
That's their problem. It's like clicking on phishing links, downloading fake software, and not verifying it. What can be done is to inform them about the dangers of such actions and recommend what should be done. If they are smarter or don't want to listen, they will face the consequences.

But I've seen confused users who weren't sure what the real URL is.
There you go. Direct them to multiple sources where they can check the real .onion link. If Google interferes again and messes up or a new clearnet site goes down or gets redirected, there is always this ANN thread that should serve as official information. Bitcointalk hasn't had a serious security breach for several years, so the forum is quite reliable.
5329  Other / Archival / Re: Gambling Campaigns on: May 20, 2022, 08:25:53 AM
And since some of these users have a signature on their profile, why would you block yourself from seeing other companies while promoting your own? It's difficult to tell who disables signatures, but it appears to be cheating except for those who don't have any company signatures.
I share your opinion when it comes to signatures. I don't have them disabled and I don't mind seeing them. I participate in a signature campaign and feel it would be insincere or hypocritical of me to disable forum signatures. I know at least one forum member from the ChipMixer campaign who stated a few years ago that he/she has signatures disabled. The name isn't important and everyone has the freedom to do what they want on Bitcointalk. I personally don't agree with it though.
5330  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [unofficial] CoinDebit NO-KYC pre-paid cards? on: May 19, 2022, 12:18:26 PM
Can someone explain what exactly is U.S. debit card? Card which issued by U.S. company? Does that mean local business outside U.S. doesn't accept this kind of card?
Seems like a standard debit card. Apparently, cards can be classified as US Debit or Visa Debit cards. The difference between them is in the way you verify yourself. If you pay with a US debit card, you need to enter your PIN. With a VISA Debit, no PIN is required, but you have to sign the receipt.

That's what I understood from these two sources:

5331  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: May 19, 2022, 11:55:59 AM
Since the clearnet domain is facing a lot of attacks, shouldn't the better  solution be that the clearnet be just used for informational purposes about Chipmixer and also a link to the tor version that the users can use to mixer coins. More like a move pushing users to mix through the tor version.
I would like to tweak that suggestion of yours a little bit. They should definitely create a new clearnet website since the old one no longer works, but there shouldn't be a link to the onion website. Instead they should link to this ANN thread and instruct users to check the OP where the correct onion link is posted. Or at least ask customers to verify that the posted onion link on the clearnet site is the same as the one that appears in the Bitcoin ANN. Just in case the clearnet version gets hacked and someone posts a link to a fake mixer. Someone could of course post a link to the wrong Bitcointalk thread or a completely different source, but I think the potential damages are smaller by linking to the ANN thread as well.
5332  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another warning for every NEWBIE! on: May 19, 2022, 09:34:05 AM
I saw a post online in our local group about money investing and he shared his experience their about losing all his life saving money because of $LUNA investment...
Investing all the money you have into an altcoin is wrong in so many ways. It's as if you were to take everything you owned and put it on black on roulette. Just let the ball decide. Investing your life savings into Bitcoin is already an awful thing to do, let alone putting everything on an alt. Unfortunately, no matter how many times this is repeated, people will continue to gamble and speculate with money that can destroy their lives and well being.
5333  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Urgent Warning: Gamdom fake unlicensed copy of games/ false Terms and Services on: May 19, 2022, 08:53:56 AM
Finally BigTimeGaming have replied and are investigating.   They wasn’t aware their copy of the game Lil Devil was playable at 1,338x so potential for false scripts too.
Can you show some proof that they have initiated an investigation. Did they tell you that over email or a public post somewhere?

User Yahoo; is unfortunately not even willing to comment.  He’s gone silent too
I asked him about it a few days ago in his services thread and he has replied. The casino owner told him that you got paid the following day.

5334  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: wwzsocki/ A big scammer on: May 19, 2022, 08:39:02 AM
No one can check those articles because you haven't posted them anywhere. There is only a screenshot of folders in one of your posts. Why don't you upload them to Google Drive and set the visibility to public for anyone that has the links to them. After that, you could share the link in OP. Unfortunately, making them public can also result in your work being stolen, so you have to be aware of that.

If wwzsocki claims that your articles were of low quality, that's a subjective call, and that's his opinion. If he expected something better, you might want to discuss it with him to see what can be improved. Assuming, of course, that everything you said is true.
5335  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ThatsMod user scammer on: May 18, 2022, 07:46:02 PM
I think it's unfair that you can spoil other people's accounts in this way.
I am sure DireWolfM14 will remove the negative tag if there isn't enough evidence to prove that you are a scammer.

According to the screenshots, you first didn't want to work with that person until he sent you the $50. Once he did and you confirmed receiving the coins, what happened next? You told him to get ready and that's where the conversation ends. Are you claiming that the discussion shown in the screenshots is not between you and the OP at all?

Telegram is an awful platform to use for business. The fact that anyone can delete private conversations for both parties is proof of that.
5336  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Firmware Upgrades for Hardware wallets their weakness? on: May 18, 2022, 07:12:09 PM
That's probably because you purchase junk consumer laptops, so it's your fault for wasting money.
I did not say buy crap laptops, but buy business class tanks like good old Thinkpad T series, or Dell Latitude/Precision... because they are indestructible, that is why military uses them.
They weren't consumer laptops. Well, one of them was a low-budget multimedia machine which I got a long, long time ago. The second one was a HP EliteBook and the third one was a Dell Vostro. The last two belong to the business class of laptops. The Dell Latitude and Precision series are even better. I have never worked on a Lenovo machine, but all the Thinkpads that caught my attention were really expensive devices.
5337  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Gate.io shaddy activity on: May 18, 2022, 07:00:05 PM
it's also possible that OP just made a deposit of Luna into the exchange using his Luna deposit address that he already has saved somewhere.
I didn't consider that because I would personally never do something like that without checking my exchange account first. Not just to see if the deposits are still allowed, but also to ensure that the address hasn't changed for some reason and that my account is still on good condition (no limits, suspensions, requests for KYC. etc.).

The thing is, do we know for sure this didn't happen?
No, not really. I didn't consider the possibility which Bitcoin_Arena brought up that the OP could have saved his deposit address somewhere and just deposited the coins to his account without checking the exchange and the status of the Luna blockchain.

We will know more if we see similar accusations by other users against Gate.io.
5338  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Gate.io shaddy activity on: May 18, 2022, 09:38:02 AM
Bitcoin_Arena is correct when he says that an announcement was made that deposits and withdrawals will be suspended 4 days before OP sent those coins. But as okorieemmanuel rightly said, users of Gate.io shouldn't have to go search on Twitter or Gate.io articles whether or not they can deposit, withdraw, or trade their assets. Such instructions need to be available on the wallet page, which shouldn't allow you to display a receiving address at all due to the suspension in trading.

When it comes to accusations of the exchange doing arbitrage trading, that has to be proven, and I doubt OP can do that.
5339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: May 18, 2022, 09:27:20 AM
Dybala should definitely be resigned if they could.
The chances of that happening are are practically zero. I think he is going to Inter.

If they end up losing him for free, then they will regret that, he is at least a 70-80 million euro player if not more, and losing him would cause them to miss out on that much money, or a player that they could keep and provide a ton of goals and assists every year.
I disagree. His stats show otherwise. He doesn't score tons of goals and is often sidelined because of injuries.

He scored only 10 goals in 18/19.
17 goals in 19/20.
5 goals in 20/21.
And 15 goals in the current campaign + 6 assists.

You can check all that here. Those are not the stats of a world-class attacker in my opinion.

But basically Juventus have got a replacement and that is Dusan Vlahovic.
Vlahovic is a scorer, a finisher. Dybala is a playmaker and player who plays behind the strikers. Dusan can't set up goals and organize the attacks, so Juventus will have to bring someone like that to the club next season. Di Maria is being mentioned to be close to signing.
5340  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Firmware Upgrades for Hardware wallets their weakness? on: May 18, 2022, 09:10:52 AM
Just imagine how many people are throwing away over $1000 each year for buying brand new laptop or smartphone...
Most of them would be just fine with good quality older business laptop maybe with upgraded ram and ssd drive, and similar thing could be said for smartphones.
Speaking from personal experience, I have never been a fan of refurbished laptops. I like the speed and smell of new devices and I don't mind splashing out a few grands for a good business laptop that I use for work. Grin
My laptops last 4-5 years, and then they die. It's always the motherboard that is the weak spot in my experience. I have had 3 laptops whose motherboards has failed in my lifetime. Buying a second-hand laptop is not an option for me because they simply aren't as good performance-wise and there is the added risk of hardware failures for outdated components.
