Still halfway to go there but it may not be harder once you know how to get merits but personally I would not suggest anyone to concentrate on ranking up just be helpful to the community and you will become one higher ranker sooner or later. Recently I turned out into full member but I know I was too slow on getting merits if I concentrated on merits alone maybe I will have more number of merits but I didn't do. Just be yourself and don't run for merits

who let the bears out?
Camera recorded bear escape:

Ohh no its a bear trap. Shocked

Price of bitcoin swings between below 7K and above 7K for a while, Christmas is getting nearer so what we got as present this year? At least $8K.

Wanna know how to get rich?

Buy cheap when everyone is scared. Then wait, and do nothing.

Sit on your hands. Smoke some cigars. Read some books. And continue to do nothing.

Sell when everyone is euphoric. Then wait, and do nothing.

Buy again when everyone is scared...

Been said numerous times... though I don’t sell but still these lines can help some guys  Smiley
Risk takers will get more reap, the same applies to crypto investors as well.

So anyone wants to get rich has to buy some coins now it's your turn since people keep selling in panic of below 7K price 6 month low.
5324  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As new members, take it easy and go step by step on: November 24, 2019, 06:13:50 PM
Take a break if you see bears. Cheesy This is what I will suggest to a newbie.

Bull is followed by a bear and bear is followed by bull means alternative breaks?
Look at the price chart of bitcoin is a long time frame

You can see the cycle of bullish and bearish from one to another, so if we are in bearish trend then bullish trend will follow for sure but no one can say when it will happen so take a break until it arrives if you want to reap profits. But bearish trend is the right time to enter as crypto investor.
5325  Economy / Exchanges / Re: localbitcoins scam ? on: November 24, 2019, 05:05:08 PM
I worked on this site without any problems and when I earned a good amount, they started to check everything my friends passed it, I gave them all the photos they got everything from me but they began to ignore me I don’t know how to add you photo here
You said you were using that site for a long time, why didn't you withdraw all your coins when you learned that there were procedures for KYC?
I don't think they "started to check everything" when you earned a good amount but because they have imposed identity verification.

The support team is the only one who can solve your problem and as long as you can provide the necessary files it is a matter of time.
Check if there are any restrictions on your country.
They have even given one month as an extended-time period to get verified or withdraw their funds so using the word scam is inappropriate here. AFAIK no one will get verified on their first try itself due to their natural look changes over years and differs from the identity they're provided so they have to keep trying 2 or three times after some time interval to know what they have to face. If still problem persist then they have to move to the support team and wait for their response each of them will take 48 hours to 72 hours.

Take a break if you see bears. Cheesy This is what I will suggest to a newbie.

You can't make profits from the next day itself since you invested in bitcoin it will take time maybe weeks or even years so be prepared for it to face in meanwhile.

WO bro is now moving to B&S as well. Shocked
5327  Other / Meta / Re: Use of TOR Browser for Bitcointalk on: November 24, 2019, 12:35:27 PM
I am currently using Firefox but i want to use TOR browser to login Bitcointalk. Is it safe to use TOR browser as i heard it is a dark web browser where hackers can hack our credentials and information ?
Using TOR browser to browse bitcointalk won't affect you at any stage, you might have issues if you try to sign up with TOR browser due to evil points.

TOR is not darkweb, it's just a browser which keeps changing its IP location but if you want to enter into darkweb you need to have onion URLs for the site you wanted to visit.
5328  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance US - bad for US citizens? on: November 24, 2019, 08:08:00 AM
US has strict laws related to crypto usage so this applies to all the exchange not only for Binance so the topic title is kind of misleading.

When someone violated the laws from their government then they are criminals so you have to use the exchanges which have no KYC verification, or else your transactions will get recorded and you need to face the consequences.
5329  Economy / Exchanges / Re: localbitcoins scam ? on: November 24, 2019, 05:36:50 AM
I am verified up to tier 2 level now and soon going to get verified for Tier 3 as well so they are not scamming you, the problem supposed to be on your side.

Create a support ticket and ask for a detailed explanation of why your selfie didn't get verified yet. It may take time but you will get verified if you have all the right documents submitted.

If someone sends email in bulk then it may be received into your junk or spam folder but sometimes even a legit email will be received there so you need to be careful which clicking these links. Someone suggested an idea to what is hidden on the links recently like copy the link address from the link and paste it on somewhere like notepad and see where it actually leads to.
Well, only hovering works too  Grin
But seriously speaking, I got tired of these emails from PM and never looked for them again. This is rather annoying because they give you that hope  Cheesy
I get an email of 500 USD deposit, I log in and boom, there's nothing. I don't wanna be that guy  Grin
These are something common in these days, even today I received some email as you said but the amount in some millions, so no one has mind will never ever click that because no one is stupid enough to offer few millions for free. Cheesy

These kind of scams often affect aged people and try to take away their savings. It is advised to everyone to become more knowledgeable about using the internet to do any kind of financial transactions, be it crypto or fiat and always watch out the addresses they get suspicious e-mail from.

But this may get off topic...
I got many spam e-mails from Perfect Money about money being deposited to my account. And that sender email came from their official .is domain. Well, they always ended up in the spam folder. So sometimes it is hard to differentiate about what's going on with the money-related websites.

5333  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Some problematic things about Coinbase on: November 23, 2019, 05:17:43 PM
because we need some of the coins to be on exchanges or on online wallets for many purposes including send/receive of the coins.

We actually no need to keep funds on any exchange to send or receive or to make the kind of payments, we have wallets for the purpose so keep funds on an exchange's wallet for trading alone any other reason we don't need them.
5334  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So traders, how much You lose? on: November 23, 2019, 07:05:38 AM
Actually I am not losing anything if the price of bitcoin is not in the favor of making profits then I will stop my trading activities and turns out into a hodler so I will save myself from losses right? But losses are inevitable in crypto even if you don't do anything you still may lose because of price changes.

5336  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Doers it matter what country you are in for wallet? on: November 22, 2019, 05:37:39 PM
what wallet would you recommend for mobile.

Thank you.
Electrum or greenaddress choose anyone you like and save the recovery seeds in hard copy, not in any digital format.Blockchain.com wallet is good but it often has bugs, lags and issues with showing up the balances.

Cancel the transaction and use the app to do it again. I think it'll pass through, just as mine did.

Are you sure? If I cancel today do you think I can send it through the app even I newly install the app on the phone just now?
I need the bitcoin before the end of this week if I cancel today and your suggestion won't work I will wait again for another 72hrs as their slow security purposes.

Maybe it works for you because you have the coinbase already on your phone in a long time?
Not sure about his strategy but I did used coinbase in the past and they never asked for any kind of confirmation or waiting time for any huge amount as equal to 1 bitcoin while transacting via app so yes its worth to be tried.
5338  Other / Archival / Re: Localbitcoins SCAMMERS !!! 26 accounts!!! on: November 22, 2019, 12:19:40 PM
Localbitcoin website itself gives warning before releasing bitcoin while doing a trade as "Never release your bitcoin before you receive money to your account". So I guess there are some other intentions behind these offers.

I feel money laundering could be a reason if a high trading volume account post offers then no one gets any suspicious feel so the scammer (who wants to launder illegally obtained money into bitcoin) takes advantage of this.
5339  Other / Meta / Re: Account hacked and stolen on: November 22, 2019, 07:52:34 AM
Hello, I got my account stolen about a year ago and I would like to get it back..

Nickname of the account is Psynthax..

No password-change? Roll Eyes

so even if your account got stolen you can log in and change the password.

No ban will be issued for a hacked account unless it got plagiarized content.
5340  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful with security! I learned my lesson. on: November 22, 2019, 06:01:01 AM
If it is not a case of phishing email than what could be other ways except a known person?
Another way of getting bypass 2FA is SIM swap this will work only is the actual owner of that number lost access to it or lost mobile, so scammer doesn't need physical access to the mobile.
