Banning books? Isn't that exactly what the Nazis did? You shouldn't ever ban books or ideologies no matter how perverse the politics or beliefs are.

technically it is not banned, it's just that bavaria, who helds the copyright, doesnt want it to be reprinted - until now or rather start of the next year when it will be rereleased after ~70 years

i can remember we were reading some parts of mein kampf in history classes, im kinda looking forward to read everything.

it is a good way to show people what a madman hitler was and that his believes are just crazy.
5324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ATOMIC: in SuperNET CORE - single blockchain for trading all coins&assets on: March 01, 2015, 01:22:36 AM
You can now withdraw Atomic and NxttyCoin NXTTY   from bter, how can i transfer them to trade.secureae.com?

i assume you already made an account on SAE?
If yes, just login into SAE and then:

1. click on Account top right -> click on Account Details

2. NXT Account ID is your wallet adress where you have to send to from bter ; if its the first deposit you will also need to copy & paste the nxt public key.

@development

Cryptaxe and team are working hard on the finalization of the alpha.
i will try to gather information to give everyone an update what is done so far in the next few days Smiley

5325  Economy / Economics / Re: How hard would it be for Central Banks to buy 90+% of all Bitcoin now&future. on: February 28, 2015, 12:21:06 AM
tbh it would be no problem to buy every bitcoin as long as they can pay with fiat.

5328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Europol Cybercrime Report: The Dark Side of Bitcoin is Coming Into Light on: February 26, 2015, 01:35:07 PM
You can't send large amounts of cash on PayPal without verification.

Not exactly true. The whole argument that dollars are the same as bitcoin is bs. You can't send dollars with same speed and convenience as bitcoin.

Can you not? PayPal and other such systems seem to transfer money instantly. You can't send bitcoins without there being a paper trail as it's all recorded on the blockchain so you could argue cash in a suitcase across the border is just as easily moved. I think the point people are trying to make is any excuse you have for bitcoin being used for bad things always applies to cash too, and in far greater numbers.

fiat is the way for criminal activities, everyone telling you something else just doesn't know better.
criminals dont use crypto, they have bankers that solve their needs.
a great example:

the new HSBC scandal would be an actual case

5330  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Edward Snowden Calls for Civil Disobedience on: February 25, 2015, 07:15:38 PM
Mr. Edward Snowden is a hero and will be always remembered as one by the community of free people.

He is correct in what he says and this will be just one of the first steps of humanity on the long way to real freedom.

5331  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Basic Stupidity of the Idea of Evolution on: February 25, 2015, 06:58:33 PM
thread has nothing to do with evolution theory.

what you can learn here from badecker is a (good) use of rhetoric to persuade people about x (x seems to be mostly religious though).

No he isn't. S/He uses tired arguments, logical fallacies and ignorance. An intelligent high school student can see though it. Arguments like this would fail in any liberal arts course, forget science. The only people convinced are equally as ignorant and uneducated. To think stupidity would be worn as a badge of honour.  Roll Eyes

I think that's what he's saying. This is a good example of dummies like badecker trying to spread their "knowledge" to other simple minded dummies.

exactly Smiley

imho badecker is far from being a idiot, he seems more like someone you would describe as a fanatic or fundamentalist?
he definitively knows how to use rhetoric to persuade people (more so people that lack knowledge about certain scientific topics - check his post history)

his arguments are less scientific and much more of a rhetoric nature.

5334  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Putin says Russia's military strength unmatchable on: February 24, 2015, 01:03:19 AM
and putin is absolutely right.

there is no war to be won in russia, else the US would already have conquered russia and sibiria.

We all know a war with/between the US, Russia and China would mean the end of the world.

This is a text based GUI for InstantDEX API that we will use for testing:

nothing fancy, but will allow for realtime order entry and trading. So we are going full speed ahead with the InstantDEX testing and hope to have the low level rock solid for when the graphical user interface is ready

nice, everything is starting to fall in place now Smiley)

not long until a nice looking gui is on the way i guess? if possible maybe something like https://beta.bittrex.com/ ; it is down right now, but looks really good and alot of extra information!

5337  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SEGVEC CONNED ME OUT OF 14.09 BTC on: February 22, 2015, 12:15:33 AM
Payment should be due soon iirc, 21 days for tax return to come back or something along those lines ? This needs to come to a conclusion, it's costing me a fortune in popcorn :p
The taxes were apparently "filed" on February the 7th so at the latest payment should be the 21st, but I know there isn't going to be any payment. This guy is a grown ass man who hides behind a computer and scams kids. smh

What did I tell you about calling me out of my name?

Pay back those who you scammed and I will release your funds.
Since you want to play games, deal with the repercussions.

Funds should be here by Friday.

Watch your mouth when you are talking to me.
Lets not forget you are 10 years old and gave me every detail in regards to you and your parents that allows for a complete takeover.

Lying and scamming innocent bystanders is just cruel and to be blunt, something a froth person would do.
*16 yrs old
Posted full details on the thread pay back the people who are owed and release the rest of the $$ to me

Pay back your victims.
I will then release the funds to you when they hit sometime this week.

Have them all post here when done.
I can play along as an egotistical little prick, too.

he probaly cant because he already used that money.
you should pay his victims back, give him his money minus what you payed his victims.
then someone should call his parents and tell them what their kid is doing in his free time...  Roll Eyes

both of you are just facepalm

5340  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Book release : Blockchain Programming in C# (Part 1) on: February 18, 2015, 12:55:45 AM
Hello all,

I think that one of the way to make Bitcoin a success is to teach developers how to program it themselves, while keeping in mind the real problems they can fix with it.
Depending on public web API to do the heavy stuff is still useful, but oblige the user to look at the problem from someone else eyes.
It also block innovation, since users are stuck to what their API provider gives them, and provoke a mopya to the wild possibilities of Bitcoin.

I have way too much demand for work than I can give. However, I can spread what I know for free in a book.

My book is in public domain, and will be spread likely in 3 parts.
The first part is out now, and I am waiting for your feedback (and your work ! Smiley)

In the book, you will find coding challenges that you need to resolve to get access to the next parts when they will be out.

The range of difficulty will go from "how to create a private key", "how to make you transaction by hand, and sending by hand" to "how Dark Wallet works", "How to implement coin shuffle", "how to implement a voting system with colored coins"

Book link : https://aois.blob.core.windows.net/public/Blockchain Programming in CSharp.pdf

Nicolas,
Happy coding and make shit happens,

Hello Nicholas,

Thanks for this awesome ebook! i will take a good look at and will comment when im finished with it Smiley
