5321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where to buy litecoin instantly on: April 20, 2021, 08:24:27 AM
It will be good to move this topic to altcoins service discussion board which is the perfect board for it to be. You can include the amount you want to buy, there are some people on this forum that can provide such service, but many are scammers, try to make use of reputed escrow service provider, so you will not be scammed. I mean reputed ones because someone that want to provide escrow can be a scammer too, as well as people that want to sell. You will likely see people that will want to sell, but be careful of scammers.

But why not try exchanges like binance? Instant buying or very fast buying while using p2p. I will recommend that for you if you do not care about privacy. And there are ways to still have your privacy.
5322  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm Looking for a Simple and Anonymous Crypto Money Wallet or Exchange! on: April 20, 2021, 07:46:17 AM
Using Binance will only require you to submit KYC/AML verification if you exceed a daily withdrawal limit of at least 2 BTC or if you are going to use P2P Exchange. If you are trading below that amount of threshold, I think you will have no problem trading your assets. Also, being a Binance user myself, I still do not encounter such issues in terms of asset freezing, or maybe I am just lucky that I do not violate their terms of service until now.
Binance also still ask users to support some verifications that will be used to process deposit or withdrawal. So far you are using a centralized exchange, even providing bank details or credit card details is another means of verification, I do not see it different as a way of providing KYC. For him to have the privacy he wants as he wanted, bsiq exchange is the best, aside privacy, it also has good trading volume.

The most generic and correct term is `Free Software'. Bitcoin is free software, not open source.
Open source software has got no philosophy involved and pointing users to it
is a big problem because they will only get a fraction of what
Free Software and the Free Software Movement are all about..
If you do not know what to post, do not post. You can research more about open source and close source before posting about it. If you know your post will be irrelevant, why posting.

Today is the big match waited for, Leicester City vs Southampton. Who will make it to final? Leicester are most people voting for but Southampton might surprise people.

Wolves vs Sheff Utd kicks off in 25 mins. Sheff Utd are terrible, one of the worst PL teams in history. I’m thinking Wolves -1 to win looks attractive.
This is very surprising as this is the exact score.
5327  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful of anything custodial on: April 18, 2021, 10:43:06 AM
It completely depends on why the custodial account was locked in the first place. If the lock was through government request, then the government would probably request for access, or just leave the funds locked on the custodial service; again, depending on what the issue actually is.
But I am very sure most of such cases are not related to government asking custodial services to lock it, I believe the custodial companies will in this case have the coins with them, a way they are the one stealing from others. Or is it not stealing? Some peoples accounts are locked and they are not scammers and also not involved in criminal activities. I have seen cases the victim will send them messages but nothing will still be done.
5328  Other / Beginners & Help / The bad side of close source wallets on: April 18, 2021, 10:35:43 AM
When bitcoin was created, wallets are open source until some gone close source. Even there were some close source wallet now that were open source before, like the Coinomi and Trust wallet (iOS version), both has now gone close source. Satoshi's ambition was to make everything about cryptocurrencies to be open source, but some people are thinking differently in a way they prefer it to be close source. Some have the excuse that open source wallets codes are known to the whole public and can be copied with little changes to introduce vulnerabilities that can steal coins from users, but the bad side of close source wallets is far beyond that.

Today I checked the app stores to noticed the world have preferred close source wallets, having millions of downloads. I was not surprised because people are getting scammed daily after several warnings about scam, but people will being people, they like what is latest, they like what others are going for, people do not care if it is authentic or not but just follow others, most people are not making there own researches before going for anything.

Close source wallets misleading the world, a way legit companies might become the problem of tomorrow
What is called legit in life? You are the legit because you can not do yourself harm, but others are not legit aside anything open source. But there are others that gain peoples trust while they are called legit also, but they might do harm in the future if you do not know about them, that is why open source is very important.

The future the introduction of spyware and other vulnerabilities into close source wallets and apps
Most people are now depending on close source wallets, but they do not think of the future, people will still being people, nothing is legit than yourself and anything that is open source to you, close source wallets and apps are the potential risks of the future in a way they may spy on you or have others ways to cause you ham, or even collaboratimf with governments to spy on you Ina way they will be custodial while people will think they are noncustodial. Which means close source can create ways to let noncustodial wallets to have source codes that will make them custodial.

People should go for open source wallets
This is not necessary but if you like your bitcoin better go for open source if you need privacy. Open source is what you can trust after you because you know the source codes unlike close source.

I dont recommend sportsbet.io, literally been a customer for years and they void my deposit of 0.099 because I was missing 30 cents worth of litecoin to make it 0.1 - they simply refuse to refund or credit my account and now I lost 30$ worth of LTC.
https://blockchair.com/litecoin/transaction/a6c31b5485450b882aa0606be8f7112a37cc2ca373b7a9ff99e3778f14bdc817
I dont recommend using these scammers.

Username is Danskeren
So sorry for that, the minimum deposit is in their terms of services. But, let see what will happen, let's see if their customer care can do something about it to recover you fund for you. But, try to always to read terms of service before using any site. The fault is now from you, but hopefully something can be done.

5331  Other / Beginners & Help / Be careful of anything custodial on: April 17, 2021, 01:26:56 PM
Before the onset of cryptocurrencies, there were scammers, some people try all ways to make sure they avoid scam, some looks for many ways and have greater chances to not fall being scammed, that is why people need to know many of the ways scammers operate to scam people, this will help people to avoid the bad online actors.

The main reason for this thread is not about scammers but about custodial companies that are now making use of cryptocurrencies to easily scam people. These custodial companies are legit exchanges and other ones like crypto gambling sites and others that their users make use of cryptocurrencies as deposit and withdrawal.

Many people because of privacy make use of bitcoin coinjoin wallet, they will deposit into such their account, but their account will be locked, I know many people that are not scammers make use of wallets that coinjoin, payjoin or mixes. They will not know that exchanges or other companies like that will know such transaction, they will pay bitcoin into their account on the company site and their account will be locked, they will be unable to use the account.

It is not only about coinjoin, but many other reasons why account will be locked. That aside, there are many other ways these companies are making money from people, like:

1. Paying a token into your account that their company is not yet supporting, the token will be lost
2. Mistake deposit of bitcoin into bitcoin cash address or otherwise
3. Not making use of memo, tag or message for coins that support it like binance coin and ripple

My advice
1. Have your private key
2. Depend more on noncustodial wallets
3. Make use of noncustodial exchange if it can carry out the task your want
4. Do not send coinjoined bitcoin to custodial exchanges
5. Also, not among but necessary. Try all ways to avoid scammers.

I am not saying you should not make use of custodial companies, but be careful of all ways they can steal your coins. Know that if you want to have the full control of your coin, you need the private key, custodial companies can not give you the private key, they have it. But noncustodial wallets will generate private key for you.

I have a question
Where are the coins of the custodial account that are locked be transferred to. With it be transferred to the government or the exchange uses the power they have to let the coins remain with them which is a scam.

We have this concern as well, instead of paying bitcoin or ether, we choose USDT as the payout currency. I saw your signature is available, are you interested to join our campaign?  Wink
USDT is built on different blockchains. Omini layer USDT that support bitcoin blockchain, ERC20 USDT that support ethereum blockchain, TRC20 USDT on Tron blockchain. Iam not certain for now, but possibly USDT is also built Solana.

But I have used TRC20 USDT before which is built on Tron blockchain. The ones built on bitcoin and ethereum blockchain will require high transaction fee as well, but the one built on Tron blockchain has very low fee. You can try it out if you do not know yet and see how low the fee is.

P.S. Although, if you want to use TRC20 USDT, you will need to change one of your rules, for campaign participates to change their USDT address to TRC20 USDT. This is just a suggestion.

You are right, we need to have all ways possible to secure our coins in ways our hire can inherit it, some coins have been lost even before someone even pass away, all this needs to be addressed. We should make sure we secure our bitcoin into complete safety, teach or children all about bitcoin so that they will know ways to to recover the coins when someone is gone.

If not bothered for hire to know the value of bitcoin stored, multisig wallet is better, creating M of N wallet.

But some people may not like their hire to know about it, sharmir secret sharing will be better.

Also is a time locked ways of protecting the coin until the moment owner is unable to do usual things that will let the coins to remain in his wallet like per year, if such not done, then the coin will be release into a particular address.

But I prefer multisig or sharmir secret sharing. If the hires know what they are doing, they will be able to recover all the bitcoin back easily.
5336  Economy / Services / Re: Need help for signature campaign! on: April 13, 2021, 08:28:50 AM
I think if your company wants to run a signature campaign on this forum, you can get in touch with any of the campaign managers of your choice.

Overview of Bitcointalk Signature Anti-Spam Campaign Managers

You can try to contact CryptopreneurBrainboss, Yahoo62278, Hhampuz or Coolcryptovator for appropriate advice. They are one of the reputable campaign managers on this forum.
5337  Economy / Services / Re: yahoo62278 Campaign Management services(Get all your needs here) on: April 12, 2021, 09:18:25 PM
I was able to work under the campaign managed by yahoo62278, all I can say is that he is a good manager. If you have a campaign and need a manager, yahoo62278 is one of the best choice.
5338  Economy / Services / Re: Hhampuz Campaign Management, Escrow Service & Promotions | Available Now! on: April 12, 2021, 06:22:42 PM
Hhampuz is a good campaign manager, he is not new to campaign management, he is serious with his business is the reason companies like to hire him, this is obvious.
5339  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Decentralized exchanges on: April 11, 2021, 10:40:23 AM
Those website (Changelly and Coinswitch) will ask you to send your coin to their address first, which makes it centralized exchange. Additionally they could ask KYC anytime, if they think there's suspicious activity, there are some scam accusation against them because they ask KYC verification after user send the coin to them.
I thought they were connecting two users together before not knowing the addresses users are sending to are from them. That means they are centralized and I removed both immediately as many others and including you corrected me. But the main reason I post this is because of centralized exchanges, or any other centralized companies. Not only these two mention are thieves, but there are was these companies will steal from people in a way people will not be able to accuse them. Like sending another token to another token address, all needed in this case is private key that connect the tokens together, some may send coins to the ones that require meme, tag or message, this do not happen on noncustodial, only the address is needed, some custodial company may not even give the warning and the user will lose the coin that went into the custodial company wallet. Another is the so called BSC (binance smart chain) that the same token share same ethereum address but the other on BSC, some exchanges are not supporting BSC and a way to lose tokens if send from ERC20. Another is sending bitcoin cash to bitcoin or bitcoin to bitcoin cash address. There are few cases the exchanges will help but there are many more cases the coins and tokens are lost forever, what will not happen on noncustodial exchanges.
5340  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Decentralized exchanges on: April 10, 2021, 10:59:47 PM
The other two I occasionally use are LocalCryptos and Hodl Hodl, which you could add to your list.
I will research about these other two exchanges and add it along too, I think they do not really have high trading volume will be the reason I did not see it in the first place, but I have noticed some other posts on this forum that recommend these other two exchanges. I will research about both and add it soon.
