5321  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: June 29, 2021, 09:44:48 PM
The problem nowadays is that no one is to be trusted. You have one side claiming vaccines are the solution and the other side saying vaccines cause a lot of side effects and will just turn things worse. Both sides are liars and deceptive, only repeating narratives they are told by others, meanwhile people trying to understand what the facts are become lost in the middle of this war of false or half true narratives.
I think only time will tell if vaccines are really efficient and if side effects are acceptable. By there all informations emerging are nothing more than pure speculation.

No one is denying the fact that these vaccines can cause side effects. I took the Pfizer vaccine a few weeks ago, and I had slight fever for two days. Many of my friends had body pain and high fever after they took the vaccine. And the adverse effects seems to be worse for the younger individuals. But here the question is whether these adverse reactions are serious enough to skip vaccination. IMO, they are not. I would say that getting a high fever is much more preferable than dying from COVID or suffering from permanent lung damage.
But then there is another point: who does guarantee these vaccines are going to prevent people from getting covid and compromising lungs and even dying? I've seen several famous people in my country who were vaccinated twice and still died anyway. That is why I say both sides of the narratives shouldn't be trusted.
Who got vaccinated should still be very careful and not rely on the vaccine to go back to normal life, because we don't really know how useful it is going to be on practice. And the media who sells the false illusion of these vaccines being the solution for covid won't take any responsability for any deaths.

I never understood what is the purpose of this game. You buy properties that won't be yours and that you can do nothing with them, holding just a virtual copy of a piece of google maps.
Why not take this money and invest in real estates or in a physical property which you can generate some income from? Huh
5323  Economy / Economics / Re: After 1 year of Covid 19 Virus on: June 29, 2021, 06:18:03 PM

You can't blame them, the virus is deadly but the vaccine is more deadly if it's not really proven it will prevent someone from getting infected with the virus. Some maybe can tolerate the virus, so they would prefer not to get vaccinated, but if the government will make it a law that everyone should get their vaccine, then there's no excuse for people not to get vaccinated.

I don't blame people who don't want to be vaccinated, but I think that people who spread rumors and fear in the community about vaccines are to be blamed. Regardless of whether you believe in vaccines that can prevent the transmission of the covid 19 virus. People should be calm by reading all the information related to the vaccine that will be injected into them so that the effectiveness of the vaccine given can enter their body, Right now, what I see is that people are scared before the injection and they also have a history of congenital disease, So if the health worker does not work properly and seriously in looking at the history of the disease in the community that he will inject then what will happen is that the side effects of the vaccine aggravate the history of the existing disease.

5324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Do You Guys Think About So-Called "Shit-coin" ? on: June 29, 2021, 02:53:26 PM
It's better to stay away from these coins you mentioned. Although it's possible to make nice profit by speculating on these shitcoins, it's also very risky to hold them and small investors who can't afford to lose money should stick only with solid main crypto currencies which have strong potential for future gains.
I believe shitcoins/memecoins are more like a toy for rich investors to play among their group of friends and to have something curious to talk about, since they can afford to lose without considerable negative consequences later for their personal finances.
5325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT still hot??? on: June 28, 2021, 11:12:59 PM
Axies Infinity's NFTs are pretty hot right now with so much demand for the game rising, especially among asian countries. But that is just the beginning, because NFTs have a lot of potential yet which wasn't fully explored by the industry. I believe in few years NFTs will be much more stronger and widely adopted with the development of new projects involving this kind of coins.
I also think the real worthful NFTs to invest your time and money weren't even created yet. Therefore it's important to keep watching the news and new developments regard NFTs, especially those projects which offer real usage for the non fungible tokens, going beyond merely collectible cards, which are useless in my opinion.
Pretty much aware about Axie infinity had been top 1 when it comes to NFT's and i can say that it is still on the trend now when it comes to this manner.
but you shouldnt really be that much off putting confidence when it comes to investment and you should really be observant because nothing do last forever which means that a trend wont really be lasting forever but at least these NFT's do really make out some significant into its existence this is
why it is really hot and trending at the moment but you should really be observant.
Yes, caution is always needed. Axies is just an example of how demanded such tokens can become and it's somehow an experiment which has been doing very well. Anyway right now it's really overpriced in my opinion, because the hype. To put 1000$ in a game to purchase the weakest possible team is a lot for me, although people are surprisingly doing this and the servers are constantly overloaded.
Actually NFTs will become a real thing when big companies adopt and develop their own tokens. Probably all the categories of online games will have to introduce this feature on their platforms to stay competitive.

5327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Cryptocurrency is best for long term investment? on: June 28, 2021, 04:06:47 PM
Long term best investment is bitcoin, the original crypto currency which gave origin to all altcoins. At this point I think it's a bit dangerous to think about altcoins being good long run investments, because they are becoming too similar when compared to their pairs... Ethereum had the advantage of running its own network, making possible for many developers to create their own projects on this network. However, new networks are being developed as well, like Binance one which also work on its own, so Ethereum doesn't have the same status it had before. On the other hand, nothing threats bitcoin. That is why it's definitely the best investment option.
5328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL...until when? on: June 28, 2021, 03:32:45 PM
To hold isn't a common rule everyone should follow exactly the same way. Each person has different goals and necessities in life and have to adequate their holding strategies to their own lifestyle in order to fulfill these needs. For how long to hold is a very personal decision that is only up to each individual. I can only say the profitability of bitcoin is much more promising the longer you hold, but you are the one who decides when to sell and shouldn't always take in consideration what others are doing before selling or buying your coins, because again, everyone has different goals and necessities.

Develop your intuition, set financial goals in your life, learn how to manage your money and you will find the answer for this question in yourself.
5329  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk really has the ability to manipulate the bitcoin market on: June 28, 2021, 03:00:23 AM
Who is to blame here?  Whales or followers.  They continue to create a market towards a zero sum game.
I'm not sure who is to blame in this situation. I think this is a win-to-win situation because both the pope and his followers have the same desire for profit. But what is different may be the impact of the rising pattern which seem to be manipulation by the whale. So drop more of your money in the first place then earn more when others start increasing their demand. I'm sure you know what someone mean by announcing "I bought $1 million xxxcoin today and want to buy more in the future".
Yes, the desire to manipulate prices does exist. But I think it's not sustainable on long run, because many people who followed celebrities like Musk in the past have already lost too much money due to the market's fluctuations, what compromises the reputation of the popular individual advertising he bought nice amounts of any coins.
People who followed Musk recently aren't going to keep doing this, otherwise they are fools who like to lose money, while feeling pleasure in being sheep of someone else. Clever guys who try to manipulate the market may think they are going to be benefited, although the reality can be quite the opposite. Nobody likes manipulators besides their own sheep.

It's like a saying mentioned in a thread's title at gambling section: "It takes years to build a reputation and seconds to break it".
5330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CONMEBOL] Copa America 2021 Discussion Thread on: June 28, 2021, 01:47:16 AM
Brazil failed to win, they played really bad in the second half, they had only one chance from vinicius jr but he missed a quite easy goal, he couldn't reach the ball well to control the shot, but besides that, they did nothing, Neymar showed again how important he is for brazil without even playing, the efficacy to score was missing.
It was just an experience for Brazil to play without Neymar since they were already guaranteed for the next stage of the competition. Anyway it was a failed experience because once again Brazil just proved how much they need Neymar to stay competitive in any games. Without him they are just a common team without much expression. Although it's very good to have a player like Neymar, it's also a big issue for brazilian team to have to count with only one player to win.

Some other countries have inferior players and despite all difficulties they compose a balanced team, not having any idols and still being at same level of idolized Messi and Neymar's teams, Argentina and Brazil.
5331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How has crypto positively impacted your life? on: June 26, 2021, 10:20:10 PM
  • From savings point of view:

The impact was very positive. Bitcoin introduced me into the financial world and made me aware about the big ponzi scheme we live in our traditional financial systems, ruled by fiat. From that moment on I started paying more attention to inflation and its impacts in the daily life of the society and how we are becoming poorer each new year due to weak devaluating national currencies.
At first moment it's shocking to see doesn't matter how much effort you do to save money, you will never see considerable gains if you keep it in fiat. Thankfully bitcoin became an alternative to protect my funds and I've been seeing the results along the time, despite the temporary losses due to bearish market.

  • From earnings point of view:

Bitcoin was great to introduce new kinds of virtual jobs and tasks to many people on the internet, including me. Many earnings opportunities appeared due to bitcoin and the easiness it afforded when connecting people from different countries in a decentralized network, replacing traditional and bureaucratic third party services like Paypal and their competitors.
I hope to see these opportunities growing in number, because each new day more and more people are going to rely on online income to make a living. That is the demand increasing fastly, so the supply must increase on the same proportion to keep the environment working.
5332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fully vaccinated individuals now spared of masks in the casinos in Vegas on: June 26, 2021, 05:21:49 PM
The people who are vaccinated should not think that covid-19 cannot harm them. They can still get infected from covid-19 but there are chances that they will recover because they have antibodies in this body. The mask should be wear by both vaccinated and those who are not vaccinated. Its for our own safety.
It is unlikely that those that are vaccinated are going to keep wearing the mask after all many are taking the vaccine precisely because they want to return to their normal lives and be over with this nightmare, and taking into account that many countries are allowing those that are vaccinated to stop wearing the masks then this tendency is going to continue, and yes while they can still get sick with this virus the vaccine is there to lessen the intensity of the disease so people do not suffer grave symptoms.

We can't return to the normal lives until either the covid-19 is completely eliminated from the world or all of the world population is vaccinated. Both of these conditions seems impossible for now.
Therefore whether you are vaccinated or not, you should keep on wearing the masks all the time when you are outside and in public.
I don't want to get vaccinated because some people are dying because of vaccine, NOT ALL but SOME of those who already get vaccinated are dying, some others are getting sick and becoming a covid positive after the vaccine. We can't deny that the vaccine has a side effects in some people and I don't want that I am the one who affects that side effect once vaccinated so better to just stay at home, sit back and relax, play gambling online. 😄 better to stay away tho casinos as of now than to suffer yourself in those vaccines out there.
Those who can stay at home without prejudice should really do this, because vaccines aren't guarantee of anything. It's just more like a tool to calm down people and decrease the side psychological effects of the lockdown.

Land based casinos are avid for profit, because their businesses suffered a lot during the pandemic, so it's normal they want to reopen faster as possible, but gamblers don't need to go all on it as the pandemic were over, since there is online gambling which replaces the physical casinos with excellency and don't put anyone at infection risk.

I think interesting how the same media which was so worried about the pandemic now claims that the vaccines are the magical solution to defeat the virus. Vaccines developed and crafted in 1 year which we don't know all the possible effects and real efficiency yet.
5333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Economic Costs of Gambling on: June 26, 2021, 02:30:16 AM
That's what a business should do, you don't blame the knife companies when there is a stabbing or you cut yourself while preparing your vegetables, that's the same for any business, they offer the product or service and it's your responsibility on what you are going to do with it.
I agree with you that you don't blame a company if it's product is mismanaged but with a little exeption to gambling where you have to go for the companies product multiple of times within a short time frame. At least gambling should seek for the employment status of the customers as well as their monthly income so the can help plan their gambling every month to avoid mismanaging funds.
That is an interesting approach. I've already thought about something similar, but regards liquor shops and alcohol addicted people. However, the counter argument will be that if a casino doesn't accept a player because he doesn't have a fixed income, this player simply will go to another casino and spend money there, instead of spending at the first casino.
It means the player will spend his money anyway, but the restrictive casino will lose customers and money, staying very below its competitors in the gambling industry and probably going bankrupt.
5334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It takes years to build a reputation and seconds to break it on: June 25, 2021, 10:26:45 PM
But my question is why would they risk all they have invested to a few players by scamming them?
because they cant continue anymore ? it could be lacking of funds or they have gained a bad reputations before but they havent fix it and it adds up .
They probably got a wrong move and can't take it anymore due to the community judging them.

As they know when it's the community that is against you, it's either you keep fighting for your business and establish it again or just stop it because you can no longer take the criticism aside from having lack of funds.
It's hard to know exactly why casinos act like this sometimes. It may be that they are running out of funds, a selective scam to boost their earnings a little bit, a strong assumption that a player really cheated without having how to prove it with accuracy... There are different answers for this question and the casino might be right in some of these situations, because it's well known there are many players who try to cheat the house constantly and once they are caught they accuse the casino of scamming.
5335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does on-line compete with the VIP experience on: June 25, 2021, 08:53:29 PM
We all know that off-line casinos tend to take very good care of their most valued clients, that is, those who spend large sums and are more or less loyal to an specific place. Freebies, guest experience managers at their service and any other amusement they fancy. On-line is much more difficult in that sense and sometimes I also wonder what can be done for a more personalised experience on these.
It may not be possible to reach the same level as the physical casinos, but what would you like to have on these that would make you feel better treated?
I think there is no way to compete with land based casinos VIP experience, because the possible features to be offerered physically are much superior, especially meals and drinks. Everything online casinos can do is to offer rains, promotions and bonus like cashback feature. But in no way it's going to be more pleasant than the services provided by physical casinos.
The advantage of playing online isn't proportionated by the casino itself, but by the own gambler who will have to create a confortable atmosphere around himself when playing, so he can feel that VIP experience at home.
5336  Economy / Economics / Re: Founders of South African Bitcoin exchange disappear after $3.6 billion 'hack' on: June 25, 2021, 07:34:39 PM
The title is misleading, because this site is not an exchange.. but rather one of those scam investment companies that are using Bitcoin (Crypto currencies) as the investment option. This AfriCrypt fraud has been compared to the Mirror Trading International scam. (Ponzi Scheme) ==> Africrypt boasted returns of 2-11% a month  Roll Eyes

Go read more at https://www.moneyweb.co.za/moneyweb-crypto/africrypt-hack-of-nearly-r54bn-dwarfs-mirror-trading/ and also see that Raees and Ameer Cajee – reportedly disappeared to the UK (A country from where they can be extradited to South Africa)  Wink
That's less worrisome. I know it is still the same amount of money and it is still scam so I know most people will feel the same but I really do not. If you believe that someone can give you guaranteed income outside of legally bounded places (banks and so forth) then you are wrong and it is normal that you get scammed, not fair of course but it is still wrong.

There is a saying in my nation that goes "scammers who scam only other scammers are not scammers" or something like that (translation could be bad) and that is why I do not feel that bad about it. There is no legal organization that gives guaranteed income, all the places that you put your money into are the places that will end up not giving you the real returns and will scam you eventually. They are basically a ponzi scheme and that is how it will continue for a long time as well, there is no way around it.
How can you say people who invested on their platform were scammers? The exchange promised returns through trading bots which could generate that profit percentage monthly and uneducated investors believed that could be real. Maybe they were just naive or crypto newbies, but not scammers. I hope the police finds the two brothers and make them reveal the whole scheme, reaching to every thieves involved on this action, so the stolen money can be recovered and returned to the victims.
5337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador started BTC campaign in their country on: June 25, 2021, 04:34:56 PM
Best faucet so far, unfortunatelly only disponible for salvadorans citizens. Grin
Let's see how people in general will react towards this incentive by the government. I think they are just going to cashout the btc into fiat and add the sum to their traditional bank accounts, what is pointless after all. A good campaign would be to incentive entrepreneurs to pay employees in btc and their businesses accept payments in btc also, especially those who are focused on internet niche, like shopping sites, for an example.

I really fear bitcoin adoption isn't going to happen just because the government is going to distribute 30$ to people who have never heard of this before.
5338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prayer and gambling. on: June 25, 2021, 04:07:51 PM
I don't know a player who doesn't fold his hands as if to pray or use the word "God" when playing in a casino or the lottery. Regardless of which god someone believes in and even if he doesn't believe in any, he somehow prays to be lucky. Unfortunately, god has nothing to do with math and probability.
How does God have nothing to do with math and probability if he is the creator of all things?
The basics of every religions is that a supreme creator gave origin to all the rest. Although minor gods possessing power to create also exist in some religions they wouldn't exist without a supreme creator that is above all. So God is associated with all the laws which rule the universe, what includes math, probability and everything else. God has nothing to do with the misuse of the elements of his creation, that are the addictions. But there are no problems in having a healthy gambling routine.
5339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the martingale system sucks! (doubling down on losses) on: June 25, 2021, 01:31:18 AM
I would like to know from gamblers what they do instead of doubling the bet on loss, since martingale is so horrible. If you don't raise your bet after a loss, you are never going to make any profit from gambling. That is my perception on this matter. For this reason people use martingale, because they want to have a chance to make profit at least on short run.

If there were better ways to gamble, would martingale be so popular?
And who said that you should profit from gambling? Every casino warns you to play for fun, not for profit. If you want to profit, then go work, do something.
Everyone (should) plays aware about the risks, but it doesn't mean we play to lose. We play knowing we may lose, but always trying to increase maximum as possible the probabilities of earning some profit and that is why strategies were developed and adopted. Although they don't assure profit on long run, they increase the chance you are going to profit on short run, and that is what we expect when gambling, isn't it?

Why is martingale popular? It's the simplest strategy that comes close to the humans minds. People think: When I lose, the chance of win next time increases, so let's double and get the loss back + some profit. Simple and easy, right?
That is true, however it's not the main point here.
People are complaining about Martingale and I just would like to know what strategy they use since Martingale doesn't fit their gameplay style.
5340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does implementing a tax on a gambling platform really help a country? on: June 24, 2021, 11:42:12 PM
That's normal for them because greed is what makes them going on. And once they've already gathered a lot of money from their corrupt activities, that's making them hard to stop because it's becoming a habit of theirs.
I see that is normal to them, but if they can think about what will going to happen to them and their family, I am sure they will not want doing that because they will in the danger situations in the future. Yes, greediness will be the part of that and it needs to say NO to join in the corrupt officials but that will hard to avoid it if we do not have a control for ourselves.
It's just all about the money and business. They don't think of what's near to them as long as they're aiming for the bigger bucks that they can take as they corrupt.
Well, in different countries it became their habit and even the citizens know, it's hard to prove it unless there's really someone who's going to fight for them.
Tend to disagree on some words because not all on aiming big does mean that that theyre corrupt.Of course they would really be aiming on something more beneficial for them which is on a bit common and we shouldn't really be that directly be judgemental that majority of the government in the world is corrupt.
There would be still into those who are really in concern into their governing vicinity and that's why they would really be mindful on things which
that could be possibly be taxed and would really be added up on the pot for those kind of usage which is understandable.
We have to trust our goverment that our taxes goes on the right place and just think of paying taxes can help many people especially those who badly need it. Casinos are aware of this one and that's why they continue to work hard so they can be able to pay the necessary taxes, in many countries there's a huge tax on gambling activities and that's the law we should always follow.
Governments are corrupt and liars and I see no reason to trust the taxes are going to the right place just because they say it on their paid propaganda. Actually the only thing taxes help is the government itself being reelected through populist actions that involve distribution of free money to the people when the election is near. Not that there is any solution for this, because the sheep begs for this kind of politics, but I think people should be conscious of the facts.

In my country there's also a huge taxes on cigarettes and liquor, this is to encourage the public not to take too much of it, same thing on the gambling addiction playing more means paying more taxes.
Probably it only encourages the population to buy clandestine cigarettes and liquors which are cheaper instead of stop smoking and drinking.
