5321  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining Transactions on: February 22, 2018, 04:51:13 AM
Does first one works? I have used it in past and never/ever got confirmations, doubt if they give us now this possibility.
It works but on extreme cases of network overload (like for the past few months), might take a while for a transactions with a low fee to get included in a block that they mine (since they prioritize transactions based on their fees). For a bit of network congestion, they can still be somehow useful.
I've successfully accelerated transactions with fees as low as 1.5 sat/B (in the past).

Also I can add btc.com's accelerator but maybe it don't worths, their fees sometimes are more than bitcoin value in usd of whole transaction including it's low fees.
Same can be said regarding ViaBTC's paid option (they give prices based on the transaction size itself, not its value).
5322  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to create a bounty campaign? on: February 21, 2018, 01:26:50 PM
I want to know how to create bounty campaigns for ICOs
You can either directly hire a campaign/bounty manager and let them do the rest or you can try websites like BountyHive.

how do these bounty campaign benefits ICOs???
It's just another form of promoting the project.
5323  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mining Transactions on: February 21, 2018, 04:48:55 AM
When our trade gets dropped into a mempool (ie we're unconfirmed) we're simply looking for a developer/miner, organization or group, to mine our transaction.

If this is something you've got the ability to do, please let me know; we are willing to compensate.
Instead of those, simply use the recommended fee and you wouldn't have to worry about those.

In cases of network congestion, you can use the following website:

1. Antpool tx accelerator

2. ViaBTC tx accelerator - Also has a paid option.
5324  Economy / Marketplace / Re: OpenBazaar- Overrated Market Place Or A Good Choice To Buy From? on: February 20, 2018, 05:22:20 PM
What do you think about OpenBazaar, is it a market that worth using
It is but not at the moment (due to lack of having enough vendors and also those that you cited).

or the buzz was just for nothing?
I wouldn't completely rule them out since they're starting to improve (addition of altcoin payments) a bit (even if it's a small step), although there's still the issue of ease of use and lack of mobile support and etc...

On a side note: They're not promoting it very well (haven't seen any significant effort in recent months in regards to this) and as result, they suffer to have a high usage too.
5325  Other / Meta / Re: [Newbie Protection] Show untrusted feedback by default on: February 20, 2018, 02:42:13 PM
OR (even better) cancel this Feature and ALWAYS show the untrusted feedback by default!
Then what will be the point of having DT1/2 members?

This should really help keeping scammers out, since a lot of them only have untrusted feedback.
That helps them more, instead of destroying their chances of scamming someone. Nothing will stop them from creating a false image, that makes them to appear trustworthy to "Newbies" (regarding your suggestion).

Bad suggestion.
5326  Other / Meta / Re: @Theymos Please remove the "Show unread posts since last visit" link on: February 20, 2018, 01:20:10 AM
It might have been useful a few years ago, but nowadays it makes no sense anymore.
I have to partially disagree on this. I find it quite useful for finding threads that need to be reported (not that much recently but still has its purpose).
- Having said that, I prefer if there was an option for enabling/disabling it (like for "Patrol" link) on "Forum Profile Information" page.

Now, even that doesn't make much sense because most threads are just useless.
I agree with the OP. "Show unread posts" is pretty useless now that the forum is so cluttered.
Ignoring certain boards that contain useless/uninteresting threads, is the key (after modifying the "Ignore Boards Preferences", you'll find "Show unread posts since last visit." option to be "less annoying".

I haven't posted in the Wall Observer thread in 2-3 years, but it's still always at the top. Same with a few other megathreads.
Having a new "ignore" option for viewing threads on "Show unread posts since last visit." page, can come in handy.
5327  Other / Meta / Re: can not access my old account on: February 19, 2018, 03:20:28 AM
I tried to recover the password from my first account (nissa1987), but I get an error ..
Not sure if your account was nuked or not. It appears to have "0" post/activity (nissa1987).
You're better off using your newly created account (unless your after accessing PM's from your first account).

does anyone know how I can restore access to my account?
Yes, read this sticky thread.

On a side note: This thread belongs to "Meta".
5328  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Building an in-app purchase platform using crypto on: February 19, 2018, 02:07:10 AM
Thanks for the payment gateway info.
You're welcome.

Regarding best coins for faster transactions what are the recommendations? No one likes to wait long for a payment to process in an in-app purchase.
At the moment, there's no issue regarding confirmation of BTCitcoin transactions but in moments of having heavy network loads (huge backlog), Ethereum could be a worthy option.
5329  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Building an in-app purchase platform using crypto on: February 18, 2018, 06:35:13 PM
I am building an in-app purchase platform and I am thinking of using a coin payment gateway to process all the purchases.

What coins to you recommend?
Or what gateway is best for this?

1. Shifty Button - Best payment gateway out there (covers a lot of altcoins), although not sure how hard the implementation process is (for your "in-app purchase platform").

Other choices:

2. BitPay
3. Blockonomics
4. CoinGate
5. CoinPayments

5330  Other / Meta / Re: The Merit System is a huge success and now it's time for demerits. on: February 18, 2018, 07:13:59 AM
Agreed to what "krishnaverma" posted (regarding #1,2 and 3) but I also support the implementation of a demerit system (as long as it's given to moderators and staff [only]).

4) Finally, it is already hard for members to rank up. Especially for higher rank members, demerits will make it almost impossible.
That would depend on if certain users post worthless content (normal or high quality posters won't/shouldn't be affected by this).

On a side note: Regarding the title "The Merit System is a huge success", I think it's too early to judge a system that was introduced recently (less than a month).
5331  Other / New forum software / Re: Can we "Like" a post? on: February 18, 2018, 05:04:04 AM
You can vod, and you can send more than 1 "like" to a someone, ill teach you how :
1. Find a post that you liked.
2. Click +merit button in the right bar of the post
3. Fill the blank box with number of "like" you want
4. Send
Thats how you give "like" to people.

Then you'll be using the merit system for the wrong reason (liking or agreeing to a post, is completely different to giving a small reward [in form of merits] to a high quality post):
While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with.

To break it down for you (a simple scenario):

"User A", likes  or agrees to a post (made by "user B") and the content of that post was "I think you should wear a green shirt instead".
Clearly that posts doesn't deserve a merit (since it isn't a high quality post), therefore "liking" it would be the appropriate thing instead (if there was a like button).
5332  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | 0.00075 BTC/post on: February 18, 2018, 04:04:35 AM
I confirm receiving this weeks (my 9th week) payout, Thanks to DarkStar_ and ChipMixer Smiley

Merit stats are getting interesting...
5333  Other / Meta / Re: How to improve the Announcements section on: February 17, 2018, 10:55:14 AM
What do you think?
I like the idea but highly doubt that it gets implemented. There's a simple fix in regards to seeing the latest topics first:

5334  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there any software to manage our bounty works ? on: February 17, 2018, 08:10:54 AM
Hello, currently we have to save all our works in a spread sheet or to use any other way to track and save our works. is there any software to manage our bounty works ?
There is but you shouldn't completely rely on it (according to them, it reduces 50% of the work for managers): 🔥AUTOMATION for BOUNTY managers (FB,Twitter,Telegram) and PORTAL for hunters🔥
5335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: make Signature on: February 16, 2018, 12:22:56 PM
Huh ???can any one help me to create my own signature? if any one have offer please let me know. Tongue Tongue Huh Huh Huh Huh HuhBTC
Due to your current rank (Newbie), you're limited in so many ways:
- Newbie: No styling (including links) allowed. Max 50 characters.
- Jr. Member: Max 150 characters.
- Member: Links allowed. Unlimited length.
- Full: Color allowed.
- Sr. Member: Size allowed
- Hero: Background color allowed

Upon reaching higher ranks, the following thread will come in handy (in order to create your own signatures): [LEARN] BBCode Lessons & Tutorials [+tutorial videos!]
5336  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Joining bounty campaign with help on: February 16, 2018, 08:09:56 AM
If I got registered on the spreadsheet and saw my name on it, does it mean that I can use the signature of the project/company and I'm good to go? Undecided
Usually it's the other way around. You use the signature of the project > Apply and if you get accepted, you'll see your name on the spreadsheet > Then you're considered a campaign participant of that project.
5337  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Descriptor - Short Descriptions Of Alts! https://cryptodescriptor.info on: February 16, 2018, 04:58:30 AM
Good idea. Currently working on implementing this. I was wondering if you could provide me with a list of words you would find hard to understand the meaning of from a noob POV.
Sure. Apart from your list, the following should be included as well:

1. Master key
2. Proof-of-stake
3. Node
4. RFID
5. Supply chain management
6. ERC20 token
7. Off-chain
8. Segwit
9. Lighting network
10. Cross-chain atomic swaps
11. ASIC resistant
12. Proof-of-Work
13. API
14. Smart contracts
15. CoinJoin protocol
16. PPC
17. SHA256D
18. Quantum Resistance
19. Hierarchical Deterministic (HD) wallet
20. I2P
21. Multisig

Take note: Just finished updating it but make sure to double check (in case I missed some).
5338  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: February 15, 2018, 07:07:14 PM
What do I need to do to access the "Custom Title" option in the profile? Thanks for the answer.
In addition to what "MadGamer" stated, if you're a "well known person" within the community and ask nicely (with a valid reason) then you might get it as well (last person that got a custom title [through a request]).

but many moderators on the forum do not have this option? For example, theymos (administrator) does not have this option in the profile.
It isn't mandatory (just because someone has a certain position within the community).
5339  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Descriptor - Short Descriptions Of Alts! https://cryptodescriptor.info on: February 15, 2018, 06:35:23 PM
Check it out and do not be afraid to leave feedback here.
Since you're aiming to provide noob-friendly information, then I suggest to add a feature that upon hovering on some of the keywords, it gives a brief information regarding each of those words (so users won't be forced to search for those in external sites).
- A lot of words fall on that category (not that noob-friendly).
5340  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptocoin Watch: Honest, accurate, and transparent coin "market cap" database on: February 15, 2018, 11:36:55 AM
Please leave suggestions, concerns, questions in the comments below.
1. Have the ability to add (to the list) and delete (from the list) coins.
2. Be able to change the order of the list (based on "Price" and etc...)

I like how clicking a coin, gives you the different prices from different exchanges (hope to see the data being fetched from more exchanges).
