Question about the additional interest -- I won't benefit as my entire sat balance will go to FUN if I choose this route. Do you retain the interest rate once the 12.5k hold expires?

The Premium Membership benefits are completely unaffected by locking. They will increase the longer you have held FUN whether they are locked or not. If you lock 12.5k for 365 days that means when they are unlocked you will have held them for more than the 360 day holding period so you will then be getting the top level 0.1% cashback, 10% increased daily interest and 8 free spins per day. That will continue unless you sell the tokens.

Thanks for that clarification! I should have understood from the calculator that it was simply based on amount held not locked/unlocked. The locking simply adds interest to FUN itself, got it.

There is usually some lucky bastard who wins with just a few hundred tickets or less in almost every round. There have even been cases of winning the jackpot with just one ticket (check round 252).

Yeah, I can't wait to be the lucky bastard one of these days. I've been a regular lottery ticket buyer since 2019 too. Just the 1 ticket every draw. It's a painful process to see how much I've spent so far, but it was a sort of redirection of money saved from a particular bad habit I used to have -- so not that I actually increased my expenses. Just want to one day see myself being that lucky bastard sniper Wink Same as Golden Tickets. I always try to have just the 1 per draw.

Adesanya is the champion as he beat him to get the belt and it was by a decisive knockout early on in the fight, so yes he is a heavy favorite in this one. It is probably not a good decision to pick Whittaker to win even if there is a whole lot of value on a bet on him. Cause it would seem you will just be throwing away money and a fight that is pretty locked in.

Yeah, I guess I'm not seeing myself putting any money on this weekend after all. Am still considering some silly money bets, but I've been coming fairly close on several accas this week, not usual for me to get a few close calls in a row (and that was after a week of back to back acca hits). Superstition says I shouldn't ruin it by putting MMA into the mix.

Saw some noise about him actually agreeing this fight without signing (he's signed now). That's... uncharacteristic of a sport I'd say. Or maybe it's normal with MMA. Now the 2nd highest paid fighter behind McGregor. Let's see if he pays his value from the first bout.

5323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia and central Bank agreed to legalize cryptocurrency as a form of currency on: February 11, 2022, 11:57:49 AM
They could use Yuan to evade sanction though, especially when media recently report good relationship between China and Russia.

On my last visit in 2019 to Central Asia, they were already about to begin some land trading routes on new trans-siberian highways and there were even some apps I saw that paid for toll with digital options, with even the ride sharing apps (everyone hitches rides there rather than Uber style taxi) popular in Kazakhstan were all denominated in ruble but could also accept wechat payments (RMB though I recall), this to me was a definite sign of China's plans for their digital yuan. If that ever qualifies as "crypto" (since tether does anyway) -- I understand digital yuan won't use blockchain, but there's conflicting reports on it and there already is a "Blockchain Service Network" in development -- with this legislation coming, it all begins to make more and more sense now, to me at least as a casual observer.
5324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: February 11, 2022, 09:48:40 AM
So, finally got credited all the freespins and this one did awfully. In the first 50 spins, won 0.3 mbtc, but after finishing 75 more spins I got only 0.16 mbtc, so grand total of 0.46 mbtc.

So at this rate my initial calculation of 10 gold medals won't be enough to break even. Austria and Germany are trumping Norway today. Coverage isn't so great here, but as I'm working can't really focus on the games.

I mentioned it in NFL thread btw, in case anyone wants early specials on Superbowl.
5325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: February 11, 2022, 08:37:14 AM
Quite a few pretty looking specials on Sportsbet for Superbowl LVI, and if you take a boost every day, you can up the odds and get some good value:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/sportsbet-specials/daily-specials/super-bowl-special/matches

My thinking the best value bet here is 18/10++ on "Who does MVP thank first" market. Surely, his teammates, right?

Quarterback to win MVP... seems good value at 14/10++ . From history, 1 in 3 MVPs is a QB... What are WBs and RBs listed on ESPN as past winners? As the other betting options are wide receivers, running back fullbacks, and defensive players.

If you are looking for something arbitrary then you could do worse. 12.5k is something that gets you a good return. It means you will start to get some cashback eventually, after a year it will be 0.1 but if you increase it meanwhile for a whole year then it would be even better.
12,500 FUN tokens is the best cost benefit package disponible. It isn't so expensive and the features' rates are intermediary. In 9 days I'm going to complete 180 days of holding period, so the interest bonus is going to extra 7,5%, plus one extra free wheel spin every day, reaching to 7 total daily.

Thanks for all the feedback, something I certainly couldn't have gathered to as much detail on my own without some serious work.

As I mentioned, I came to the same conclusion: 12.5k seems to be the most "effective" amount to get a reasonably good boost without too much in the bank. I'm close to the outlay needed, so I'll keep rolling and/or wait for price to decline a bit more, and I'll definitely put it for max holding. I suppose the interest on that should help offset the expected loss, and it definitely helps that all those extra free spins could hit something big.

Question about the additional interest -- I won't benefit as my entire sat balance will go to FUN if I choose this route. Do you retain the interest rate once the 12.5k hold expires?

I buy FUN token for those two purposes, first one keep them on Freebitco.in where I can use the benefits they provide, mostly the Wheel of Fate spins as they can increase our daily rewards and of course if the price of the FUN token rises which I expect this to be the case from Q2 to Q4 of this very year then I can say I have made a really good investment here.I will be at 50.000 FUN token when I receive my mining payout and signature payout next week but intend to add more daily with the prices I will receive from like 8-9 spins daily I will have.

It'll only be for the former purpose for me. I've never played the speculation game unless with airdropped coins (hold doesn't count yeah? haha) and from what I can see, for the time being, FUN needs more people to use it, so perhaps if more guys end up like me using it (to gain rewards), that's where the demand comes from. Could even suggest longer hold periods for those who really don't mind locking up for bigger rewards.

Harko: Yeah, OK, I know it's only his second game and first start but I'm already a fan of Diaz. I'm not going to put a mark on him or anything like that but he's already proving to be the robust machine we need in a team like Liverpool. He's won every brawl, even when fouled he stands right up, I haven't seen him really sniff at goal yet but his channeling squirms on the left, he's a worthy competitor for Mane on evidence of this match so far. Definitely has the right mindset at the very least!

We need to have a draw somewhere and this game screams draw to me. Low scoring one at that since Wolves are involved. I am not brave enough to go under or both to score since I feel this will be 1:1 game. Just placed ML bet on draw as a part of low stake many games multi so hopefully it will come to something. If it does maybe Steve finally publishes one of my tickets instead of those bloody Brazilian ones Smiley

Yeah, I thought so too, but I forced myself to not go to Superbru and change anything, I have the opposite of you, Arsenal ML on a low stake acca. I pray to see you 1000x tickets on ANN thread my friend!

Tightest of games as usual and I know I haven't been a fan of Traore recently but Wolves could find themselves without an outlet of possession at the very least -- Gunners ahead, but barely, though they seemed to have a bit more bite? Eyes at Anfield so not much aware.

As for the Liverpool game there is no doubt that Liverpool is going to win as they are trying to keep up with Manchester City and no mistake is allowed or they will force themselves out of the title if they make one tonight.

Still hope to see Salah go on for second half and get more goals. We need to win every game like a statement and build a GD... I've a feeling it will be important later in the season.
5329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 10, 2022, 04:45:01 PM
Well, looks like your smartypants behaviour's put you in some serious contention for yellow cap (and top 5 cementing) casper! A lot of surprises, and bookies were very close anyway -- except for Villa, City, United and Liverpool, every team I see is within 2/1 to 3/1 odds -- so I'd say only market volumes were affecting bookie lines.

Our captain's been hitting the smooth spots too -- 81 points from exact scores! That's more than 1 game per matchweek, which is the precise average 4 or 5 of us have.

Wolves game will be the tight one to decide. I'm actually wondering if I should change my prediction...
5330  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do people overestimate BTC? on: February 10, 2022, 03:11:30 PM
Yeah I'm like Nasty -- we're all guilty of some overestimation, perhaps saved by the fact that it's balanced out more by the understimation from naysayers. Still far too many speculators and volatility to present a more serious feel as a reliable asset but for something that's barely been around in free markets for 10 years, I'd say a huge achievement.

Precisely. People often have a different perception of what Bitcoin truly is. Some view it as a way to make money, while others view it as a currency for day-to-day payments.

If we're being honest, the former probably outnumber the latter by some distance.
5331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia and central Bank agreed to legalize cryptocurrency as a form of currency on: February 10, 2022, 01:40:13 PM
Considering Russia household income per capita, IMO it's rather high.

It's high even in majority of the European Union, based on min wage values, so yeah, at face value, certainly doesn't seem unreasonable to tax such a high limit for the average Russian -- and if that's per exchange, nothing to stop people from using several exchanges to break amounts up.

Probably a fairer tax implementation than the vagueness of India's.

This is the event many have been waiting for UFC 271: Adesanya vs Whittaker taking place in Houston Texas this weekend.
Israel won the first match by knockout in the second, but Robert has been training and says he is ready to take his belt back.
The press conference will be in the next few days so those should be an exciting build up to the fight happening Saturday night.

Here is the UFC multimaster competition for this event for your chance to win some prizes:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5385117.0

Thanks for the notify, my picks all locked in. Funny thing about Adesanya is I backed him plenty when he wasn't such the obvious favourite (and lost) but now the odds put him firmly as the likely winner, I wonder if it's worth now backing Whittaker just for the value? Or was Israel just too good for him?

Recognised some other names too in the list. UFC fighters finally rubbing itself off on me I guess.

back to topic, Milan trashed Lazio last night, while I was waiting BTTS

Yeah I've been getting hurt a few times now by BTTS when picking seemingly "have to score" teams. I noticed Lucas Leiva was an unused sub, was almost tempted to do my occasional "to get a yellow" market. I was thinking of doubling down on BTTS on tonight's cup games but Atalanta currently cannot be trusted and you just never know what to expect from Sassuolo. Wasted Milan on my tickets too as Villa, also on my tickets, couldn't find a goal they needed.

Alert! New Bet-free-6-6 is up! I kind of miss it. 100k prize, surely it's not TOO difficult to win? Spurs will lose, City will win, Leicester will lose, just need to get the score right ha ha ha

I see why it was confusing for me and I cant seems to find the tally that match your post. ROC is not Republic of China though, it stands for Russian Olympic Committee Grin. It was confusing for me because China only has 2 medals right now ( 1 gold ) but you mentioned that they had 6 medals so I thought I was getting wrong tally lol

Well I hope you land a bonus round with your free spins though  Grin

Yeah, honestly sometimes I have no idea how I even remember to breathe. I mean, China in fact is clearly marked as China and I'm still thinking ROC of China, guess it's growing up in the 90s and seeing labels say ROC. No excuse though.

Speaking of, ROC now has the most medals, but Norway also caught up a lot today and stand equal at 11 medals. But Austria is the surprise package, they have 1 silver more than Norway and now have the most of any country (12).

Germany top the table though as they have 5 gold. Norway only has 4, so should get 50 more freespins, not credited yet so will update at another time Wink
5337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 09, 2022, 08:58:11 PM
Just watching Spurs - Saints and I must say it is a great game. Spurs had an initiative at the beginning and missed one sitter but after that and goal it was all Southampton. This could have been 3:2 for Saints very easy by the half time whistle.

What's up with Norwich? Seems they decided it is time to move away from relegation zone. They were looking terrible and I was sure they will be relegated and now they are suddenly looking much more dangerous.

Should have watched that one too, but chose to see City-Brentford, when I couldn't find Villa game (but that one looks awesome too, Coutinho goal and two assists and Daniel James got a brace, almost forgot about him actually). Brentford has 2 good chances but City as usual score (penalty) despite not really getting dangerous on goal. Need Villa to build on that lead though, as got tickets looking safe elsewhere except there.

And exactly, Pukki forgot we asked him to lie down and stop scoring -- Palace blunt on the stats.

^^^Zlatan training makes me just disgusted with myself honestly...

^^ Hands up here, I've never heard of this Verdi till now. Thanks for the share. I've only known one ambidextrous person my entire life, let alone ambipedal. He said he started out as a leftie but society trained him to be a rightie but unlike others he just kept using both.

just as Trofo said, it is Sorare NFT game, and yeah, I like to play it (there is some earning side as well)
tried to play FPL as well, but yeah it cannot be said that everything is for everyone, almost gave up from FPL, and it is somewhere in the middle of the season

Cagliari was a breakthrough in this round, beating Atalanta at home ground and getting closer to avoid relegation

For me it's a matter of time I guess. I'm sure I could earn something from NFTs but my dad life is giving me all sorts of time management problems that I feel all I can afford to do physically is watch sports to relax -- everything else seems to require brainpower I no longer have at the end of the day. I'll take a look one of these days maybe though Wink

FPL? I found it interesting but problem was discipline and forgetting to do transfers -- while keeping an eye on squad situations. Again a time thing sort of.

5339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: February 09, 2022, 06:24:26 PM
That's what I get for trusting them.

It sucks, United cant win against Burnley which is the worst team in EPL atleast for now. I had a decent amount betslip on United for today, thin value but I thought that against the worst team in EPL then that would have been a great value but kinda regretting my decision there. I should have stayed away from them for now, Im supporting them but it kinda breaks me when I keep losing most of the time I bet on them  Roll Eyes

The only consolation I suppose I could have from this is I didn't bet ON Burnley -- would perhaps have been even more disappointing to get nothing out of a big 6/1 bet after coming so close.

I know they had 2 disallowed goals but both were pretty obvious fouls. Had de Gea not been alert, they'd have lost.

I'm backing City to lose tonight and it's a massive 26/1 bet for Brentford to take home all 3 points. It's such an unlikely outcome, of course, but I'd be happy to lose the bet to a draw.
5340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +7931 units on: February 09, 2022, 04:06:26 PM
Yeah, well, two bad bets in the end, up there. But we continue to have faith in City dropping points and to boost my dangerously low profit this season haha.

100 units at Fairlay on Brentford to WIN vs Man City @25.38. Other odds: 22.50
Units advantage: 282

Also, accidentally deducted 200 instead of 100 units in last post, so I make up for the 2 bets in this total.

Running advantage after 107 bets: +11992 (+282)
All-time cumulative: +79,600
Running units after 106 bets (13W|93L): +1773 (-100)
