5321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT HAPPENED WHILE I WAS GONE? on: December 23, 2019, 06:37:32 AM
What happened to the altcoins resembles a bubble, just like the dot com boom of the 1999-00 or even the tulip mania of 1636-37. Unlike the case with Bitcoin, the alts went up by too much, without any solid reason. Bitcoin had practical usage, while altcoins had none. So obviously this was not sustainable and the prices crashed once the initial euphoria was over.
5322  Economy / Speculation / Re: What’s your expectation on 2020 Halving year?! on: December 23, 2019, 06:24:23 AM
One thing that we all are ignoring here is the fact that the exchange rates have already increased by around 150% since April this year. Most of the increase could be attributed to the emergence of the Libra project, but the anticipation of the block reward halving also played a major part. Therefore my prediction is that any spike from the block reward halving will be more moderate, as a part of the bull run has already occurred.
5323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altseason Has Almost Arrived For Altcoins. on: December 23, 2019, 06:17:07 AM
Ever since April, the Bitcoin dominance has increased from somewhere around 45% to the current levels of 68%. And that means that the market share for the altcoins have dropped by more than half. It looked as if the altcoin market share had stabilized at somewhere around the 25%-30% level, but the situation seems to be worsening in the recent weeks.
5324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Super League (ISL) Football match updates, predictions and discussions on: December 23, 2019, 06:10:22 AM
^^^^ BFC needs to win that match against ATK. They are the current champions and they need to cement their place at the top of the table. ATK is a shadow of their former self, and with players such as Sunil Chhetri and Rahul Bheke, BFC has an advantage over their rivals from Kolkata. BTW, as per the available stats, the Kerala Blasters still have the maximum crows attendance among all the teams, with a mean attendance of 23,755.
5325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 23, 2019, 05:59:46 AM
Who in the world have the time to watch all the matches live and in full ? No one has this much spare time. Even people these days do not have time to sit 9 hrs in front of TV to watch the whole 100 overs ODI and you are saying to watch all the matches  Shocked

The cricket betting industry is very organized now and millions are being waged on relatively minor leagues such as the TNPL and the Pokhara Premier League. A few months back, I was really surprised to see a viewer count in excess of 10,000 for a match between Zimbabwe and the Netherlands. Then I realized that the vast majority of the viewers were from the Indian sub-continent, and they are watching these matches because they had wagered bets.
5326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO/IEO projects are lying to airdrop and bounty participants for a long time! on: December 23, 2019, 05:52:39 AM
The sad truth is that you don't have much options here. The number of ICOs and airdrops have declined to a bare minimum, and there are predictions claiming that the ICOs will get completely extirpated by 2020. So we have tens of thousands of bounty hunters competing for ever decreasing number of available slots. And this empower the campaign manager to make the terms more and more exploitative.
5327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to invest my $1.5K? on: December 23, 2019, 05:45:15 AM
Bitcoin has gone up by 6% during the last 24 hours. I am not sure whether the current trends will continue in the near future or not, but from what I have observed in the cryptocurrency market during the last 2-3 years, I can say that we may be in for a major bull run. The block reward halving is only a few months away now and that is going to cause a spike for sure.
5328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to hidden or Delete all coin in myether wallet? on: December 23, 2019, 05:35:34 AM
What is the point in deleting the tokens? You can either hide these tokens, or create a new MEW wallet and move your ETH and useful tokens there. Also, make sure that you don't delete tokens just for the sake of it. Although it is rare in cryptocurrency market, there were incidents in the past when dead/dormant tokens suddenly got alive and gave good returns for the investors.
5329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hot Altcoins on: December 23, 2019, 05:29:41 AM
New coins are very risky, don't invest long term there, choose projects that are clear.
like Waves, Litecoin, Ethereum, you will be fine

Ethereum doesn't look good, especially after ETH 2.0 got postponed. The other two coins that you had mentioned (Litecoin and Waves) have lost more than 90% of their value since 2017, and not too many people are investing in them. Their trade volume, as well as the mining hashpower is on constant decline. Investing in established coins may be a safer option, but the ones you had mentioned are not suitable for that purpose.
5330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 23, 2019, 05:23:23 AM
Pakistan won the match by 263 runs, and this win has enabled them to jump from the 6th spot in the 2019–21 ICC World Test Championship to the 3rd place. Right now they have 80 points from 4 matches, with a RpW ratio of 0.765. Sri Lanka is at the 4th spot, with 80 points and RpW ratio of 0.589. The details can be found at the ICC website:

5331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Altcoins getting Boycotted? on: December 21, 2019, 07:17:27 AM
Even if we exclude the Bitcoin forks and the stablecoins, altcoins still enjoy a market share of more than 26%. And this translates to an amount of $50 billion and this amount is very significant. For example, the market cap of EBAY is only around half of this number. So we can't really claim that altcoins are getting boycotted. There are still a lot of people using them.
5332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Cash the real Bitcoin? on: December 21, 2019, 07:10:23 AM
Bitcoin Cash is a heavily centralized currency, as it favors the large-scale miners with giant mining farms. On the other hand, Bitcoin Gold is the coin which favors the small scale miners. The current version of Bitcoin falls somewhere in between, but as of now it is moving towards a monopoly by the large scale miners. I am holding almost all of these coins, so I don't want to favor anyone or degrade the others.
5333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Useless projects! on: December 21, 2019, 07:04:51 AM
Such projects would number only a handful. I can give a few examples, such as Monero and USDT. But more than 99% of them have failed to have any real-time usage. One example that comes to my mind right now is that of Tron (TRX). It was designed as a crypto equivalent for "easy and cost-effective sharing of digital content". Three years have passed since the ICO, and hardly anyone is using TRX for its intended purpose.
5334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 21, 2019, 06:58:37 AM
Three T20 leagues are ongoing right now - Big Bash League, Bangladesh Premier League and the Pokhara Premier League.

Sydney Thunder won the toss and elected to field against Adelaide Strikers in the BBL, and we will witness some solid action from Alex Carey and Phil Salt. They'll be up against the formidable Thunder spin trio of Chris Green/Arjun Nair/Jonathan Cook.

The BBL match between Khulna Tigers and Sylhet Thunder will get started in around half an hour. Rilee Rossouw and Mushfiqur Rahim are playing for KT, while Mosaddek Hossain and Ebadot Hossain are the stars from Sylhet Thunder.
5335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 21, 2019, 06:52:26 AM
Pakistan 157/0 now (lead of 79 runs), and now Shan Masood and Abid Ali have stepped up the scoring rate. They may be targeting a lead of around 350, and that would give >90% chance of the Pak victory. Ideally, they should try to bat out the remaining overs today (66 overs) and then put Sri Lanka to chase tomorrow. At this rate, another 270 runs from 66 overs looks very much possible.
5336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Price Peak = $ 1,432.99 USD (Jan 13 2018) on: December 20, 2019, 12:40:37 PM
Vitalik Buterin said the ethereum foundation sold 70,000 Ethereum for a whooping $100,000,000 during the ethereum price ATH, when Ethereum hit it's 2018 low and hit the neighborhood of $70+, they could have easily bought back the amount of tokens sold during the ATH with just a fraction of that $100,000,000 (5% to be precise) and nobody knows if they did just that, so it's definitely possible that they might hold much more than they even sold cos they might have bought back a lot of Ethereum, not including the ones they might still hold.

Back then the exchange rate was around $1,450 per coin. And the current exchange rate is $129 per coin. The big question is why they are not buying back any ETH, despite the low prices. So there can be two possibilities. Either they think that ETH is never going to achieve the ATH level again, or they think that the coin may further lose its value in the near future. The writing on the wall is clear folks!!
5337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 20, 2019, 12:34:37 PM
It is a difficult position for India, the spinners are taken for runs in the past two matches from both teams and with high scoring games like these and heavy hitters who are able to put the ball out of the stadium, it is very difficult for the spinners as one loose ball and it will end up as a six and so is the reason the Indian spinners gave away 9 sixes in total in the last match.

Nowadays, the boundary distances in international matches have been decreased, to increase the number of boundaries. And this is having a disproportionately negative impact on the spin bowlers. Many of the boundaries during the Visakhapatnam match would have ended as wickets, if the match was played two decades ago. But it will be wring to say that it impacts one of the sides more than the other.
5338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM ICOs, what we can do? on: December 20, 2019, 12:28:52 PM
We don't need to do anything with them just we need to be careful and choose the write project value planning to to investor participate on their bounty project.
There are separate board and some DT members in this forum trying to create awareness among the forum users to stay away from the scammers.

I still believe that this forum needs to do more about the scam projects. If Bitcointalk refuses to list their ANN thread, then they won't be able to attract any investment from the users. But as per the current circumstances, almost anyone (even a junior member) can start an ANN thread in this forum. IMO, we should make it mandatory to have escrow, partial bounty payments in ETH/BTC, if anyone wants to post an ANN thread.
5339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 20, 2019, 12:22:54 PM
I agree with you, Kohli is aggressive when he is fielding against opponents, As a captain, he need to be aggressive in order to activate their boys because each person will be different views and thoughts. While batting he is performing well and this makes him be aggressive.

One thing that I like about Kohli is that he is in good terms with almost all the players, partly because of his long association with them. If the captaincy is given to some other player, then he may not be able to maintain the same level of bonding. Commanding the players may be difficult for Rohit, because he doesn't have the same level of respect from the other team members, that Virat enjoys.

Translation: We are giving 30 LAKH Rupees salary to this  ******* chief selector and Head coach.

Note:  30 LAKH PAK Rs is 19317 US dollars. Approx 2.71 Bitcoins.  Shocked

If his performance remains poor, then it may not be a bad idea to get a more professional individual to replace him. In the past, coaches have transformed average performing teams to world champions. I can give you many examples, but the ones that come to my mind are Bob Woolmer (who coached South Africa), Dav Whatmore (Sri Lanka) and Sandeep Patil (Kenya).
