5341  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Random coin picks experiment on: February 14, 2020, 12:03:11 AM
Probably better to create bots to earn from the fluctuating price of established cryptocurrencies. This is safer and can earn you consistent profits. You just need to properly set the bot to buy important dips and sell bit by bit as price recovers. You could just leave some amount of coin for long-term increase in price
It's kinds really risky. Using bot and set it on buying dips without any foundstion.
For me, not all in dips will go pump. Which dips are more risky to buy than selling it because if you say dip, it could probably near on horizontal support and could break that horizontal line and continue to go down.
It's not kinda easy though, as what TrevorS said above, bot also can be costy.
5342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best strategy for Dice on: February 13, 2020, 11:59:18 PM
I'm playing Martingle style on dice game BUT what I observed here is quite risky if you make it automatic bet and without stop loss.
I am doing martingle style with a limit, so once I already make my target for the day, I stop and wait for another day.
Because I tried multiple times becomes greedy, I always over extending to play dice with martingle style and end up losing.

5344  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Random coin picks experiment on: February 13, 2020, 12:34:42 PM
Extremely risky!
As what @Dsrt18 said.
2017 will not happen anymore for me, it's really difficult for this hear or upcoming years since last 2017 was the ICO FEVER,  most of the altcoins before are based and under on ethereum.
And look most of altcoins now from 2017 parabolic run, still 50 % - 99% down.
Random picks without any fundamental/technical analysis is like playing on loterry.
Much better if you do that on top 1-50 highest market caps, much less risk for sure.
5345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone trading on "Decentralized Exchanges"? on: February 13, 2020, 12:27:09 PM
What I just tried before is the ERC20 tokens where you can trade it on EtherDelta.
What I like trading ERC20 tokens before is the fees are cheap, since it is under Ethereum. But my trades their didn't went well since most of coins there are shitcoins and trading volumes are not quite good.
But overall, trading on such decentralized exchange is pretty safe and comfortable.
5346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among us here has been addicted but successfully cured addiction? on: February 13, 2020, 12:22:49 PM
I already experienced this, especially before when a lot of wrong doings happened to me.
I become addicted in gambling while I am broke before, financial broken and heart broken at the same time.
For a week, I lost ton of Bitcoins for the NBA GAMBLING.

After that bloody week, I reset myself, I started on foods hahaha and becomes fit, find a work and find things that I will become busy again and the rest of days it went well, I still do gambling, but in control and responsible.
5347  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM BOT] Merit, Trust List, etc. [INFORMATION] on: February 13, 2020, 07:36:27 AM
(...)
Ive noticed that sometime it got some error or inaccurate display of merits received. But this is okay as bots are usually like this. But this is really an awesome bot. Hoping for more additional features. Thanks for this, counting merits will not be a problem anymore.
I updated the bot, and I am 100% sure that the latest one is accurate, see the above post and 2nd post of my thread for changelogs.
As I can see on the image you attached, the last time you request your last 120 days received before the latest one is more than maybe 24 hours.
Btw, thanks for that.
(....)
Edit: nvm, I only see my earned merits (not counting airdropped merits) but count is not correct (I have got 24 merits but it shows 22).
Hi, the total merits earned are provided by loyce.club, and you can see your's here http://loyce.club/Merit/history/1091302.html but unfortunately, the total merit earned/receiveds for now is January 24, 2018 until February 07, 2020.
So, the 2 merits you received at February 10, 2020 is not yet added in the data of @LoyceV.
I am going to ask him/her if how frequently he/she updating http://loyce.club/Merit/usernames.html page.
5348  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are crypto advisers worth to be looking for? on: February 13, 2020, 07:02:27 AM
Hey. Can you tell the beginner if there are any professional advisers who can teach you how to trade in practice? Crypto courses and general informative articles are great, but I'm having in mind something with more practice included. Does it make sense to look for them and how much scam there might be?
as long as there is no involving money or attracting you to buy specific currency then it is worth looking mate, because that proves the quality of the adviser to be a legit and just wanna help.
there are some "wanna be advisers" here that at first will looks like helping but sooner you will find that pushing you to invest in their system in which will end up scamming.
(....)
Exactly! It's normal to find an adviser or our mentor, it is one of the best ways to learn something, thru mentor.
Nothing is wrong for having an adviser or mentor as long as he/she doesn't talk b*llshits because there are a lot of them spreading now, those advisers who only nice and good in talk but there's no action or something proof.

And additional, don't totally rely on your adviser. They might teach you something, but you should learn also by yourself because they will not there forever or they can't tell you what they really know.
5349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving: What is it? on: February 13, 2020, 01:42:42 AM
They can even maintain a long term operation so I guess they are all prepared if something like that happens suddenly. Most of them are wise and probably see this happening in the future.
There must be sort of savings dedicated for future upgrades.
Exactly, bitcoin mining farms are just not ordinary and not a joke, they are into business. For sure, before they started to build huge farms for Bitcoin mining, they already have a plan for the long term operation.
They know how to manage their business and speaking for long term, they are literally beast!

Speaking if Bitcoin Block Halving, I can also share this website to track the upcoming Bitcoin Block Halving information, it's a countdown for next Bitcoin Block Halving and also has some information about Bitcoin and the upcoming Bitcoin Block Halving.

5350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google Searches of Bitcoin on: February 13, 2020, 01:36:32 AM
Least expected I guess.

Bitcoin is skyrocketing again and those searches are from people who are interested again of watching the price rally of bitcoin. And I think, they are in between now whether to buy before it pumps more or wait until it dips.
Smells like incoming Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO). It's normal for Google Searches that can track current trends and on Bitcoin side; it's already given, once the price is slowly climbing, here the people started to look on it like new people introduced Bitcoin for the first time.
But that 33% increase in Google Searches of Bitcoin is doesn't mean all or must of them are buying Bitcoin or using Bitcoin.
5351  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The worst part about using cryptocurrencies, Newbies should be more careful. on: February 13, 2020, 01:01:51 AM
(...)
Therefore, my advice to all newbies is: ensure to write down your password for every account or app you install securely. Keep your private keys safe and secure. Also, passphrase or backups should be noted. When carrying out the transaction, ensure to double-check your outgoing address before sending it.
(...)
Newbies should also know the risk of cryptocurrency beside that some technical side.
Like the risk of  buying some cryptocurrencies. Like buying anything cheap, like they hope it will have huge returns in the future, shitcoin always be a shitcoin.
Additional, checking some transaction fees first before confirming the transaction, because some time of the day there are some time the fee is high.

Despite of losing yesterday, Adroit managed to get the 3rd slot to the majors.
(...)
Their hardwork really paid off!
They even played to some computer shop because of poor/unstable internet connection on their bootcamp which is located in the Philippines.

Update:
Qualified teams as of now, 5 teams already confirmed for going in ESL Los Angeles 2020 Major.
Team Secret and OG are extremely awesome, especially Team Secret for having 0 lost for the Europe Qualifier, rooting for them.

5354  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM BOT] Merit, Trust List, etc. [INFORMATION] on: February 12, 2020, 01:13:15 AM
This is really a good improvement as a beginner. But here is what I observed, the merit earned in 120 days isn't accurate. I've earned over 65 merits in the last 120 days.
https://i.ibb.co/SR3WdX4/Screenshot-20200211-095714-Telegram-X.jpg
Nice catch! Thanks, I already updated and fixed it and refract some part of code, I made shorter and straightforward it since the last time I made the last 120 merit received is kinda trash since It was the first feature I made.

Example:
"You have been added to the Trust list by xandry."
or
"You have been removed from the Trust list by xandry."
To avoid confusion, I suggest: "In the past week, you have been .....".
This is kinda awesome!
I'll start to work it out. I think it is better the bot will send a notification to the subscribed user every Sunday forum time.
The only problem is the bot is sleeping/idling if there is no activity for 15 minutes (I am still using a free subscription). There's already on my mind for the solution about this.
Thanks for your suggestion @xandry!

Very sad to hear on the recent match in SEA Qualifiers for ESL One Los Angeles 2020 Major;
Lowkey vs Cignal Ultra - Match here: https://www.trackdota.com/matches/5237142517

Suddenly, team Lowkey got an internet connection problem, and they are 10k gold ahead advantage in 28 minutes mark of the game.
Team Cignal Ultra wait for them to reconnect but after some given minutes, the game resumed.
It's really sad for team Lowkey, they lost because of some technical issues like internet connection in the Philippines.

P.S. This tragedy also happened to Team Cignal Ultra before against TNC.Predator and I think before, Team Cgnal Ultra also already dominates the game before the tragedy happened. I think, some payback, lol. But remember, there are rules about this, so it's okay to resume the game after some minutes given.

5357  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to prevent phishing and keep your info secure on: February 11, 2020, 12:04:23 AM
(..)
Anyway, this is also a helpful thread. [GUIDE] Use this for identifying Scam/Phishing Websites & Exchanges in Crypto, wrote by @GreatArkansas.

If you guys found phishing links kindly report to google.
How to report suspected phishing website?
You can use the Report Phishing Page of Google
Link: https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/
Or if you discovered phishing website about crypto, you can use EtherScamDB
Link: https://www.etherscamdb.info/report
Thanks for quoting it and I'll add some additional way of reporting the phishing/scam website ;
Identifying the domain registrar of the suspected website and get the domain information like using whois or any site to get the domain information and if you see some registrar contact information like email for reporting abuse domains or their email address/telelephone numbers,
Get those information,  provide the suspected website url, write some  reasons/description and send it.
It could help so the registrar itself can take down immediately the suspected website if proven guilty.
5358  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM BOT] Merit, Trust List, etc. [INFORMATION] on: February 10, 2020, 11:55:23 PM
That's a handy bot for signature campaign participants. Counting earned merits in 120 days has become laborious to some Cheesy
This bot will help a lot of users when we are going to apply on a campaign haha, great work man!!
Yeah, best for user/campaign manager identifying total amount of merits received last 120 days.

How often does it count? I tested the merit earned all time and it's off by three merits. I can't verify the merit earned for 120 days yet. For some reason, my counter is only showing merits I sent and received from Jan. 15, 2020. Any idea how to expand it?
Merit earned all time - Weekly update
Merit received 120 days - real time
Trust informations - weekly also
My suggestion is you should add a ranking calculator there together with the merits needed for the next rank, with that. that will be the all in one bot that every forum member is going to need  Wink
That's petty nice feature. Thanks for that, I'll figure it out.

It's now fully working, unlike yesterday that had a lot of bugs and you already added new features on the bot!

Thanks. And yes, I just added some new changes like some emojis and recent merit transactions, I am still working on add the receiver username on that.
I also added to the second post on the thread to track the change logs of the bot, especially if I added/changes some functions.
5359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [DOTA 2] ESL One Los Angeles 2020 MAJOR [DISCUSSION] on: February 10, 2020, 07:19:16 AM
I love this tournament because of no Direct Invite, all will go to qualifiers and be a champion on a minor.
Qualifiers for every regions already started with lot of new teams popping. Some high tier teams just falling with new team in qualifiers.
(...)
Some team/people give positive feedbacks but there are some who also give negative feedback. But if I remember correctly, there are more positive feedbacks than negative feedbacks.
Yeah, it's totally good for everyone. And that will also give some teams a chance, especially those non-pro players or just started to the tournament, it's good to help your performance, fighting on some pro/tier teams, what an experience of that. As I recalled, on some match of OG, first game of MidOne on OG was bloody, he got first blood by Guardian rank  Cheesy.

Bring it on, what team you rooting for?
Also, seeing Team Secret beating Nigma and OG beating EG is an emotional pleasure (if you know what I mean  Grin).
Top 10 anime betrayal, eh?  Cheesy Grin

Good to see some unpredictable matches, yet I am still not trying to bet on some qualifiers match, kinda scary af!

The closed qualifier now for each region is intense and mostly on the Europe qualifiers. The teams that are aiming to get to the top 3 are most tier 1 teams so I think before looking to the majors, let's look to the qualifiers and the Starladder minor.
(....)
Yep, exactly, high tier teams are mostly on Europe, especially The International champions, and OG + OG.Seed combination, kinda scary teams and Team Secret too, the recent major champion.

I was asking around for something like this with betting on online games. It'd be a good side distraction to follow the DoTA championships and have the option to bet with crypto. The fascination for me in esports is mainly due to the wide difference it has compared to countries like India etc.
The culture of Esports having the potential to be a career opportunity is something that doesn't find much resonance in my society even though I know it is something that a lot of people would love to do. Following the journeys of the "stars" of these esports is as fascinating as the game itself.
Just consider eSports as Sports, we are now in 2020, as we can see, eSports are hell yeah evolving. Look at now, large prize pools.
And just recently in Southeast Asian Games, some eSports games had a gold medal. In terms of career opportunity, you can still have them, I am excited how eSports will grow in the upcoming years.
5360  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM BOT] Merit, Trust List, etc. [INFORMATION] on: February 10, 2020, 07:00:36 AM
Already put some names on my trust network and tried out using the bot. Still now popping, maybe there is a timeframe for this like 30minutes after the activity conducted. (....)
Wait for another week before it will become available on http://loyce.club/trust/ and remember if no user trusted you, you will not see some users who added you in their trust list.

It is now working properly, thank you for fixing the issue. Though, the only downside of it is that, the information isn't updated every day, so we need to update its database first to concisely see the information we need to find. I think it relies on the data base scrapped by LoyceV right? Meaning to say that you also need to update it weekly like how LoyceV created his database.
Glad to hear that and thanks. It's really not updated every day, every week there is data for trust: http://bitcointalk.org/trust.txt.xz .
I don't need anymore to update weekly, trusts data is totally relied on http://loyce.club/trust/, thanks for LoyceV.

If anyone tried to check their trust list or trust data, if you don't have any trust data, like no one listed you on their trust list/distrust list, you will see nothing. So, better to create your custom trust list here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust .
