I offered you to checkout a part of the codebase, isn't that enough for you to legitimate our business ? you need to see everything ? please explain why throughly if you call for transparence.
Don't tell me what you offered when we both know exactly what you offered, when you offered it, how many deadlines you missed, how many excuses you gave, how many times you change the description of what you in fact were going to be showing as 'proof', and then finally never showed anything more than a screen capture of something a 12 year old could make that proved nothing.

Stop arguing with me and starting asking the community-- not me-- how you can win their business. I didn't do anything to you. I am speaking my opinion of your risk-laden website.

Do not let this community suffer through another MyBitcoin. Let's kindly and quietly raise our standards and show these so called 'businesses' how it's done.
5342  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitscalper anyone use this ? on: January 29, 2012, 04:43:51 AM
still think there are things i won't share with you, because i don't feel i need to.
You don't need to. No one is forcing you to. It's called the free market. Your honest, transparent replacement is already being designed by another party as you already knew. Business advice: Step up the transparency and stop running things like a scammer.

What it is clear now, is that we did not run away with the money, we are coders, very well grounded in the financial field, and we're developing more and more infrastructure.

You can code a script to echo a ticker, and even that is not proven as you could have paid someone else to make it. You are missing the point here. No one is calling you a scammer. You're defending against nothing. You should be working to communicate with the community and be more transparent before you lose all of your business to your competitors.

The facts are all against your theory Matthew

O Rly? So you're a professional that we should all trust? You know your stuff when it comes to coding, finance, systems, security, etc?

I know for a fact that's a lie and if I told why (even though I agreed not share the details of our conversations) everyone in the community would abandon your shaky site in a second.

Tread lightly and stop arguing with me. Start proving yourself. Or just keep spreading FUD and playing pretend.
5343  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitscalper anyone use this ? on: January 29, 2012, 04:26:57 AM
he simply won't have my business, that's all.

Exactly. This is all I am trying to say. Let's leave the drama out of this entire thing. Just, as a community, let's stop letting scammy businesses sell their FUD to us anymore.

Do not let this community suffer through another MyBitcoin. Let's kindly and quietly raise our standards and show these so called 'businesses' how it's done.
5344  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitscalper anyone use this ? on: January 29, 2012, 04:22:16 AM
Matthew, i do believe that you do not have any authority for asking our source codes.

No one is forcing anything. Welcome to the free market.

What i agreed with you was showing our codebase, with some of the sensitive parts removed.

2 weeks has passed. Several kind nudges were given, followed by flat out requests. You have yet to provide anything remotely considerable as proof. Furthermore, I would have loved to keep this between you and I and gave you ample time to consider (which you also agreed on) and warned you that if you cannot provide this evidence that you are not just a scammer that I would not support you and would actively voice my opinions on it as I feel bound to do (as you agreed on).

You refused and acted like a mafia boss by threating us of being shutdown, and now this.
Nice try. No one has refused anything. We, myself and at least 12 others from the DCAO in separate conversations have been pleading with you to give some shred of recognizable proof and you have delayed, pretended your phone was not working, cited your fears of conspirators and the legal system, etc etc etc.

The "now this" part you're referring to is me kindly telling the community my own personal opinion of your risk-laden website. Do you have a problem with me voicing my opinion? Does the mafia often voice their opinion and ask for proof of things? I'm pretty sure the mafia would just break your kneecaps if you didn't let them in on any of your business endeavors. I have logs to prove that I have only tried to involve you in our endeavors, sharing much more than I should in fact. For someone who lives in a glass house you sure do throw a lot of stones.

Do you go to your bank and ask for their trading algos?
Banks aren't anonymous. Do you consider yourself a bank now?

Also, do you see that withdrawals are processing correctly? we are not a scam, and not running away. there are just a few  hundreds bitcoin in the fund now.
Yes well, as I said both publicly and privately, I hope I am wrong about you as you seemed to be a very nice chap. The problem is, the business your running is anonymous and scammy.

I'll say this again:

Do not let this community suffer through another MyBitcoin. Let's kindly and quietly raise our standards and show these so called 'businesses' how it's done.
5345  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitscalper anyone use this ? on: January 29, 2012, 04:01:09 AM
Vladimir Marchenko, a member of our organization put it best I think:

Quote
As long as this guy is anonymous, there is nothing to talk about. Risk assesment for anything above some trivial BTC amount is off the chart.
5346  Economy / Services / Re: Introducing the Bitcoin100: A Kickstarter for Charities on: January 29, 2012, 03:57:27 AM
No, definitely not. I like the first one better.

I was trolling with the last graphic of course. That thing is hideous.

Are you volunteering to help us create an ad for your magazine (I hope)?
I can't give any special rates as Bitcoin 100 is not a legally registered non-profit organization with a history etc, but I can do the design work for the advertisement for your guys (I'm also a Bitcoin 100 contributor!)

That would be great. I really don't have a knack for creative arts but would like to see this project advance. Do you have any other ideas?
Not really. Putting all my efforts into the magazine at the moment. If you guys for for an advertisement in the magazine though, I'll gladly do a design for you for the first issue.
5347  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitscalper anyone use this ? on: January 29, 2012, 03:52:08 AM
Sorry for taking long to update the thread. We've completed the migration of the trading engine to node.js. The new backend is now live and here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZUuokn8YoU you can see a video of the monitoring scripts in action. Everything is powered by node.js/socket.io and blazing fast. Profits should reflect the upgrade in performances and we will be exiting the beta soon.

This doesn't prove anything other than that you've learned how to use a socket connection to a public exchange that offers a public API. Congratulations.

I have written a thread about BitScalper and I highly advise that everyone read it.

5350  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What did you study? on: January 29, 2012, 03:46:53 AM
I studied Business Admin with a specialty in Management. However I work in the IT field (i've always had a thing for computers)

How's that working out for you? I was always curious if internship/just going for it was better or worse than going to school to learn business.

I'm homeschooled, never been to traditional college/university etc, and I've been doing business since 13. I might be the exception to the rule, but I seriously question the value of a classroom/project based on anything other than real life situations.
5351  Economy / Services / Re: Introducing the Bitcoin100: A Kickstarter for Charities on: January 29, 2012, 03:26:59 AM
You mean something horrid like this?

5352  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitscalper anyone use this ? on: January 29, 2012, 03:13:11 AM
1) Not sure if it is a scam or not.
2) It is like watching paint dry.
3) Cashed out for now with a small profit.
4) May come back later if it is still here.

Here is how I did:

Code:
Date          Wallet
1/11/2012    -1.000000000
1/11/2012    -1.000000000
1/13/2012     2.027683500
1/13/2012   -10.000000000
1/23/2012    -9.000000000
1/28/2012    19.939362460
             ------------
Gain          0.967045960

I did better than than that here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=61577.msg719723#msg719723

I noticed you guys are struggling with a design so I put some time into a logo. Use it or don't. My contribution just the same.

5354  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do you own a bitcoin business? If so... on: January 29, 2012, 01:19:11 AM
UPDATE:

I decided to go back and change the DialCoin ad and make it a bit more professional looking.

In regards to the bottom tag line: Unfortunately, we sell Bitcoins.

Capitalized?

The line below it has bitcoins in lower case = correct.

But if it weren't a sentence (no period), then you're golden. But then you'll have to make the upper tag line Sex sells not a sentence either, I believe.

Would this work?:

Sex Sells!

Unfortunately, We Sell Bitcoins (or...wait for it...Unremorsefully , We Sell Bitcoins)

(I was going to post this on Twunker, but I see that's not up yet)

~Bruno~

I lol'ed.
5355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This will change Bitcoin as you know it. on: January 29, 2012, 12:04:46 AM
Wow, Matthew you shock me. I thought you might be a little nuts when you would go off on a former forum member but see now that was most likely just your style of attempting to help the forum and possibly even the member.

Someone finally understands.  Cry

I've always liked BitTalk and I liked the Christmas Special but thought it was a bit over the top at times.
That's just what happens when someone gives me a camera and no direction. I realize it's not exactly suited for Bitcoin and I've toned it all down a lot. Almost exactly half of the viewers of that special complained, while the other half said it was awesome.  Roll Eyes

Although now I understand you were just attempting to take what can be a very, very dry subject and inject some spice into it. This magazine is a great concept that can only help spread the word about Bitcoin. This is another really good concept from you and your team.
We all really appreciate that!

I have to admit I’ve avoided DialCoin. Not because of you but because I think Vladimir is a dick (a very talented and amazingly qualified dick) but I might have misjudged that too.
I wouldn't say dick, I'd say married with children, highly experienced and not easily amused. I work on him though and get him to laugh a lot so I've only ever seen him as a mentor. I personally think the Intersango guys are kind of dicks, but I would love to work with them. I guess it depends on if you're thinking friends or business ey?

Good luck with your new project. B&N is just down the street from me. I'm eager to see it arrive at my local store and get a copy. I wish you all the success in the world.

We're pushing for 5,000 issues now. Let's hope everything happens all at once, although it's highly unlikely for the very first issue. I hope everyone is realistic about that and won't send me hate mail just because it didn't reach their store in-the-very-beginning.

Peace!

Bitcoin is a fiat cryptocurrency that is quickly gaining wider acceptance. I would like to see it enabled as an automated payment option.

Is this FUD your doing?

Curious as to what part of the statement is FUD. I don't see anything inaccurate about the bolded part.
