the payout threshold is always 0.1 for monero.crypto-pool.fr
Efficiency: 102.5% on last 12 Hour ( thanks my patch )

I believe the devs were saying your patch is bad for the network.

Did you change it since you posted the (dangerous?) code?
5342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: rpietila Altcoin Observer on: August 23, 2014, 08:12:45 PM
Here is the one-week resolution chart of Litecoin / Yuan as reported by the very liquid OKCoin exchange. The rightmost candle now has a technical shape that suggests indecision, and with relatively high volume indicates that the recent price capitulation has either ended or paused. As the resistance downtrend line from the November 2013 peak has not yet been convincingly pierced to the upside, conventional TA wisdom says the down trend from the peak has not yet reversed.

My question at this juncture is where can I short Litecoin?

May sound repetitious, but I really feel that Monero is the Bitcoin of 2010.

I'll buy you a nice box of cigars if you're right. Wink  Maybe some Siglo VI?  To your taste?
5344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blowing the lid off the CryptoNote/Bytecoin scam (with the exception of Monero) on: August 22, 2014, 03:53:53 PM

Another "senior" member who needs to point out he only invested a little, or traded XMR and has no horse in the race but feels the need to point out what a scam Cryptonote is, despite the first post being proven to be false. How many of you guys are in on the XMR pump and dump? Must be big money riding on this...

There certainly is big money riding on this.

Fact of the matter is simple.  XMR folks would never have wanted to see this discovery.  It is a bad situation and casts a shadow on CN in general.  Just because Monero is, in many people's opinion, the best of the few clean, fair CN based coins doesnt mean having nearly the entire CN community called out for dishonesty does XMR any good.

It doesn't really, IMO.

But most of us who are invested in XMR would prefer light to darkness.  And light has been cast on this situation.

You would have to be blind to see what recent developments like "Uh Oh, hacked!" really look like.

The dog ate my whitepaper. l0l

Who cares if its true or not as long it is written. And right now, after successfully defeated all of it opponents, Monero is ready for the moon!

For fudsters and doubters on why is Monero best CN coin:

I am not sure what you think this foolish passive aggressive campaign is going to do...  but you are really wasting your time posting on all your accounts here.

Where can you trade BTC for Monero? I tried several of the exchanges listed at the beginning of this post and didn't see it listed.

Poloniex has the most liquidity.

So much instability and bad connections.

This sort of thing has happened to me dozens of times recently...

I jammed the turn but it didn't register.  Probably had no fold equity here but half the fucking pot was mine. I have a hard enough time as it is winning without the site taking away my money by disconnection.

All other connections seem to be working well enough.

Oh well...  maybe I'll try back later...  but enough for now.

And now I cannot withdraw again, even small amounts.

This is getting very annoying.

i sent some xmr to mintpal 2 days ago. i need transaction id now. how can i find it?

Check in the block explorer. Just paste your address and find the right tx ID.
http://monerochain.info/

1. monerochain.info is allegedly rebuilding its database and is very out of date.
2. You cant search for transactions based on address.  Welcome to Monero!
3. I'm not at my coin PC, but I am pretty sure you can list prior transactions in simplewallet.  Look in 'help'

XMR withdrawals are failing for me. Prob. I am not doing something right, raised a support ticket.

Withdrawals seem to be going smoothly once again.
5352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [XMR] rpietila Monero Economics thread on: August 18, 2014, 10:27:15 PM
Chart is poised to repeat the July 13th type of turnaround.  More and more, the buzz I am starting to hear is about XMR displacing DRK and even LTC.  Even some skeptics seem to be commenting on the fundamentals, and in light of the CN controversy and how that is shaking out I am personally putting a bit of money where my mouth is right now.

I'm not an investment guru, but things just look twitchy right here... in a good way.

Obviously, there is far to go (messy code, database, gui, etc) , and the emission is still aggressive, but I feel like we are at a sort of critical tipping point possibly.

Its nice to see with all the rest of the crypto slump going.

I've made a couple little lucky trades in and out of these big buys...  I love action.

cAPSLOCK, that was my first thought and then I read this.....

"But fear not, within the next week or two we are going to have a way you can donate to the ongoing development of Monero whilst still getting something directly."

Aha?

This OP has given me food for thought...

I've been torn over endorsing Boolberry.

Been really impressed by the work done by the dev on this coin.

However suspicious market activity, has lead me to believe that one person has been mining the majority of BBR (possibly using a botnet) and dumping on Poloniex: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577267.msg8203714#msg8203714

Also suspect transaction activity has also lend me to believe that one person holds at least a third of all coins: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=577267.msg8048106#msg8048106

Reading this post was like a massive light bulb (and red flag) for me... glad I stumbled upon it. Will watch this thread with interest!

Even if one person has a very large number of coins, the fact that they're dumping guarantees that the distribution will improve over time.

And suicide by handgun is a wonderful workout for the index finger.
