Here's that bounce I was calling for. Gox still pretending it doesn't have my coins yet. Time for bed. Should make for interesting dreams tonight.

It does look like we have just passed the bottom.

I'm feeling bearish about the bottom. The bounces are superimposed on a fairly linear descent right now. I don't know if we'll hit single digits but it feels like teens isn't out of the question.

I can't see this being Islamic terrorists. Tax day in Boston?

I'm surprised we haven't seen more speculation on the news. I would have thought they'd have been making insinuations about the tea party. It's bound to just be some nutcase like that guy who flew his little plane into that building a few years back. Though truly, the tax burden is bound to push a few people to the edge, the MO of this attack just screams "unbalanced".

How does everyone know to buy/sell at the same time?

Screw it, i'm selling all out.
Watch the price jump up.

Yep, you called it.

Gox still sitting on my money. I used to think those accusing them of manipulation were paranoid. Now I'm not so sure.

Course, whilst Bitcoin-24 was a lot faster about things, they have closed down denying everyone any access to any funds at all.

Think it's about time to close down the charts and just see how things stand in six months. This is a fiasco which has deeply damaged Bitcoin IMO.
5347  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: April 16, 2013, 02:29:01 AM
Oh well, I think we're about to see another bounce. I'll try and catch it at the top, I guess.

Gox, you suck!

Ill give it a try. But I am on 13.1 and I have 4 other rigs on 13.1
Report back in a bit.

Was cgminer running fine for you on 13.1? For me, it was giving a blank screen and hashing but producing dead blocks (then again, I did try jumping straight to the beta drivers first thing). I may try upgrading again later but it'll be a while.
5349  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: April 16, 2013, 01:34:21 AM
Sent some BTC to Gox to try and catch the swing but no sign of it yet Sad Oh well, maybe just hold after all.

OK. So I got back to 12.10 and this may fix Joshwaa's problem also.

The answer was to forget the uninstall option in the catalyst software. ATI has a driver cleaner that strips all the drivers out and restores things to how they should be. I used "Run as Administrator" to be sure. Once done, my screen was back at the "Stretched 640x480" rather than the high-res screen that it was before (perhaps indicating the uninstallation was less-than-complete previously). A couple of reboots later and from there, it was a regular install of the 12.10 drivers and I'm good to go.

Any ideas?

That is why with Gold as a currency and land a property Royal families could say Royal for generations.

Gold was once a useless yellow metal that wouldn't keep an edge. Just saying.

Man, look at all the BTCs flooding onto the order books.  The dollar's value is, like, going up exponentially, dude!
Exactly, must be a hyperdeflation in the dollar. Bitcoins purchasing power can never go down!

When are the Hunt Bros 2.0 going to sell?

I think I preferred them during their musical phase

Meh, here's the thing about having a lot of bitcoins. If you don't spend them, there's no difference. If you do spend them, you get cool stuff but you also have less bitcoins (and somebody else has more). It's not like the current situation where the rich can position themselves at the output hopper of the printing presses and fill their pockets at will with the proceeds of your savings account.

bitcoins don't magically multiply on their own. You could invest to make more, perhaps but in the process, you have disbursed bitcoins from your stash (and taken a risk).

If you can generate more Bitcoin income than outgoing, however meager, you can save it and know the government can't depreciate your savings at will. That's a damn site better than how things stand at the moment with fiat. I think the people who have allowed that to happen deserve the spoils.

Well, christ. I was being sarcastic again and no one picked up on it. I seriously doubt it was N. Korea...

I know you were bub Tongue  But it's funny how people will honestly blame NK or the middle-east for all the bad that happens in their country.

Oh, JESUS! I didn't notice your full user name until after I posted. And THAT is the truth! Fuck, now I am getting confused... I was just saying christ for effect.

Who's on first?

Is he?

No, He's on third.

What worries me the most is that it is Monday, fiat has entered the system and prices should have started to rise by now. Instead we are slowly going down..

there have been mondays when it was very slow ..
i think people are just sitting their waiting for the price to stabilize..   so Am I
if some big fish suddenly buys a lot.. all want back in ..
if some big fish massivly dumps coins.. all want to sell.. if they are still holding coins after the big (crash/correction).

but looking at trend over the year.. we are still in bullish trend..   in my oppinion

i wanne buy.. but i need a big fish to start it up again Smiley there must be a lot of cash flowing.. all who sold at +200$ are sitting on massive fiat funds..

they can buy realy cheap now Wink hint hint hehe

Heh, yeah. When the price goes up, everyone rushes to buy. When the price grows down, everyone rushes to sell. When the price is kinda-sorta-doing nothing, nobody knows what the fuck to do.
