5361  Economy / Speculation / Re: How low will BTC go before the next leg up to 45-50k?? on: January 13, 2021, 06:32:13 AM
I already said it many times and I will say it again.
If only there is one person or a group of people who can predict the future and answer this with 100% accuracy then that person or they must've been rich by now Smiley.

What we can only do right now is to predict what can happen and our chance that our prediction might happen is 50% or even lower (like toss coin where you can only choose 2 heads or tails).
Go to the chart and put in a weekly time frame and then put a 21 Moving Average there. That is where Bitcoin might drop in the next few weeks or months.
5362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: again a Bitcoin millionaire who forgot his password on: January 13, 2021, 06:19:41 AM
This is the reason why I really need to store my private keys in a very secretive place and I know that I can access thru it anytime I want. Don't underestimate the power of these words Cheesy.
If I'm only in that situation, I don't know what to do. I'm thinking though if the company can help him though since it is his own keys and they don't have any access to it.
What we can do right now is to just learn from this kind of mistakes so that we will not have the same fate or will be in his situation.

Lost coins only make everyone else's coins worth slightly more.  Think of it as a donation to everyone.

This is confusing. How is it a donaton to everyone when the owner can not even get the bitcoin out of the stored device? If he fails to get his password and gain access to the coins it means they are lost forever. May be Satoshi spoke in parable there.
This phrase that Satoshi has shared is kinda sarcastic in a way but I'm thinking that you know what Satoshi means right Smiley.
5363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHOW YOUR Pi!!! If you dare. For the Pi Network on: January 13, 2021, 06:12:00 AM
I tried to mine PI back in the days but I stopped because of them asking for our personal information which is in my part I don't like.

I really know what will be the future of this coin. I'm not comparing it to ETN but I will predict that it will have the same fate as ETN. Many mined ETN for free thus, people can sell it very easily and it is the same as PI. People can mine it very easily that is why when this coin will be listed on an exchange mark my word, it will plummet quickly because holders will choose to sell this rather than holding.
5364  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can BTC go down to <$5k again now? on: January 12, 2021, 02:39:45 AM
I'm not removing the fact that this might possible since we already saw how Bitcoin dropped last 2017.
Many believe that anything is possible in the crypto market and with this very volatile market, this might be possible.

However on my part, all these things can be measured by its chance of happening and with this case the chance of this to happen is close to zero. Not impossible right but it is like it will never happen for some reasons. I will advice to you OP that if you are hoping that this will happen then you might store some cash then so that you can buy more if this scenario will happen Smiley.
5365  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic on: January 12, 2021, 02:36:31 AM
I’ve seen this twice before...  If you’re really thinking of selling, wait for a couple of days when it’s bouncing back.  It could bounce back to 36k - 38k and give you a chance to sell at a better price.  If it doesn’t...  We’re f*cked anyway.  Lawl.

I've seen this many times already.
Bitcoin go down a few dollars, many people are selling, many people are panicking.

OMFG just hold Bitcoin so you will not have more stress Cheesy. Remove notifications in your phone and don't try to view the market so you will not panic.
Laughed a bit on Lawl. Eksdee Cheesy.
5366  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid 19 protecting value of money on: January 12, 2021, 02:29:23 AM
It will only helps you if you are hedging your cash or you are invested into different investment but aside from that, I don't see COVID protecting the value of money.

In case you didn't know, Venezuela had its hyperinflation years ago if I remember correctly because of the government printing money massively to the fact that their money doesn't have value anymore. I still remember the time when I saw a picture of their money worth 100 Trillion and yet they aren't accepting it.

Government printing out money massively can cause hyperinflation especially to those countries who are developing. USA is printing massively thus, the value of their currency is slowly decreasing. If this continues then it will also continue to go down.
5367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crpto investment in 2021 on: January 12, 2021, 02:24:20 AM
Buy anything that you want as long as you have cash to use Cheesy.
Kidding. Bitcoin and Ethereum still and maybe add some Litecoin, Chainlink and Polkadot.

I will just share only the top coins since aside from the fact that they are on the top in terms of market cap, they are already been trusted by people. Your choice still in the end. You want excitement and want to be aggressive then go on the lower coins but just be ready.
5368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum is said to be One Step ahead of Bitcoin on: January 12, 2021, 02:20:59 AM
One step ahead in terms of what??
Market cap? Technology? Transaction speed? Fees? Specify what are you saying.

One thing more is that Bitcoin is the first crypto and I don't think that there is a chance for ETH to surpass BTC. In terms of technology maybe since ETH is starting to upgrade and fees as well as the speed but in Market Cap and trust, Bitcoin is still on top and will always be on top Smiley
5369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sorry guys.. Bitcoin is not for our day-to-day transactions. on: January 12, 2021, 02:18:35 AM
If you will say Bitcoin directly to our day-to-day transaction then maybe I will agree with what you said.

Right now, I don't have any cash right now that didn't came into Bitcoin. It may not be used directly in my day to day transactions but my cash right now came from Bitcoin. You are saying this because there are not that much people using or accepting Bitcoin because of its problems like its fee and transaction speed but I believe that there will be a time that people will adopt into it and will choose to pay thru Bitcoin especially right now when there is a pandemic they'd rather pay thru BTC if they want rather than fiat.

Just wait for people to use Bitcoin and then post this thread again Cheesy.
5370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: User got access to their 127 BTC after 9 years on: January 11, 2021, 02:54:04 PM
The author of the post under the nickname BitcoinHolderThankU earned bitcoins in 2011-2012 by watching videos and completing tasks, but lost the private keys to the wallet. He restored access only in December 2020.
Right now we are saying stupid things about these kind of things (watching videos to earn, completing tasks and faucets). Back in the days they are earning huge amounts of Bitcoin which doesn't have any value at that time but right now has a huge value already.

Now I'm thinking of doing some faucets again and just hold it hoping that it will go up Cheesy JK. 127 BTC doesn't have any value at that time and the user is very happy and lucky that he got again the access to his lost Bitcoins. I can consider it a life changing retrieval Smiley.
5371  Economy / Speculation / Re: Play smart, set exit points, take profit, re-enter on: January 10, 2021, 07:05:09 AM
Been here since 2013 and I already saw this happening at least twice (2014, 2018). The price skyrockets, predictions are crazy, companies get in, adoption seems to get boosted, and many other things we are experiencing now. Then, one day the price goes down. From 1200 to 200 (2014), from 20000 to 3900 (2018). I know we all want this time to be different, but I truly think it's going to be the same.
Well, I might agree this but if you will see the trend of Bitcoin from 2008 to the present the trend is bullish and even though it will drop it will drop higher than the price where it dropped years ago. I know that the market will go down at some time as all of the markets are doing the same kind of cycle (going up and then going down).

Be Smart. Define points to sell and transform the numbers on your wallet on FIAT. Chances are you will see it crash and go much lower than your exits. If you are a holder, then this will allow you to buy cheaper.
In short, have some plans in whatever things to happen. Have some cash if it started to go down. Learn to take profit if you need to. If  you have a target price and it reached it then sell it. Whatever happens, the trend of Bitcoin will still be bullish and it will not change.
5372  Economy / Economics / Re: The recent rise in prices, temporary or more long term? on: January 10, 2021, 07:00:40 AM
In every market, there is a cycle where markets are going up and after some time it goes down.

We've seen the crypto market go up further that we expected last 2017 and then after that it crashed in 2018. Now we are seeing the same scenario again in 2017 where the market is going up again and nobody expected it to happen. For sure there will be some time that the market will go down and make a correction. Now where will it drop is the thing that nobody knows but one thing is for sure, the recent rise in prices are just temporary. It will go down but if you will see the charts long term, the trend is always bullish so yeah just hold Bitcoin for a long time.
5373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the biggest mistake you've made on crypto? on: January 10, 2021, 06:50:01 AM
I can't say that this is my biggest mistake but I can consider it as my biggest missed opportunity in my crypto life.

I started into crypto late 2017 when Bitcoin is at around $3,000 already and I've seen it go up to $20,000 but at that time I don't have any idea since I decided to learn more before investing to prevent losses. 2018 comes and I've seen the crypto bleeding all over. I know the basics of it already but it is a missed opportunity for me since I didn't bought and hold and crypto at that time. Another missed opportunity is this March 2020 when the pandemic started. I still remember the time where I always visit Coinmarketcap and the market is going down and down at a faster rate but I don't have any cash at that time and I feel regret on it.

This time I already adjusted my investments and my cash. That whatever happens, I will still hold some fiat money in order to invest into the market when the worst thing comes.
5374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you usually find a new investment oppertunities/projects? on: January 10, 2021, 06:42:03 AM
I am new to the crypto space and have missed out on many opportunities in DeFi. So how do you usually find a new project? From where? Thanks
You are new to the crypto space and yet you are finding new projects to invest your money with??

As a newbie, it would be better if you will do some research first. Don't invest immediately and learn some basics. After all it will help you in the future. Investing without proper research will lead you to many losses and I'm sure of that since I've seen many investors losing because of being impatient and didn't take time to learn.

Now if you really want to invest your money, invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum and at least learn some basics before investing.
5375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth season or alt season already? on: January 10, 2021, 06:25:36 AM
Congratulations to all Eth holders out there, finally it seems like Eth season is here, sorry for not using alt season instead lol, now shill me your altcoins that you believe will start following Ethereum as Eth hits 1123$ as we speak

And again do you think altcoin season is now in action or not?
We know that the price of altcoins is heavily based on the price of Bitcoin right?
If Bitcoin goes down then so does altcoins especially those on the top and vice versa.

I can't consider it as ETH season or ALT season but for me it is top altcoin season Cheesy. In the end it doesn't matter if it really is the season for altcoins or not. What matters is we made profit from it Smiley. On the other hand if you are planning to enter right now, wait for the perfect time to enter unless you're impatient.
5376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dose meme helps a crypto to be viral? on: January 10, 2021, 06:21:09 AM
I maybe late but I didn't see any meme related to crypto aside from Dogecoin being a literal meme coin Cheesy.

Anybody can make a meme with everything and after all, it will depend on how the people will take it. I can consider crypto as viral right now not because of memes but because of media who are creating hype and those institutions buying everyday. Crypto is viral already in different social media platforms and it doesn't need a meme to reach it so I think memes doesn't help it to be viral Smiley.
5377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be too happy on: January 10, 2021, 06:12:30 AM
Do not be too happy that big and giant companies are entering the field…
Because they set the price up and down whenever they want…
You should be happy when ordinary people invest more than big companies.
On the other hand, there are some average Joes out there that are very happy because of the price of Bitcoin right now and because these institutions are slowly coming into Bitcoin and buying it.

Little they know is that these institutions can manipulate the market anytime they want as they are currently holding a huge chunks of Bitcoins in their wallet. They have the power to set the price they want. They have the power to pump and dump the market. I agree with you though that it would be better if Bitcoin will be spread throughout to us ordinary people to prevent further manipulation but it is what it is. The one who has more money will have the power Cheesy.
5378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When to take profit from your current bitcoin holding. on: January 10, 2021, 06:09:44 AM
I want you to comment on this scenario, when should one cash out, as the volitality of the market is very scary.

What's your advice? Is it keep holding? What if keep holding means holding at a loss?
It will depend on what are your plans. Before buying, you must've a set of plans that you will do if the best or the worst happens.

Holding at a loss is ok for me as long as it is Bitcoin or Ethereum. For some reasons, I find these 2 coins trustworthy enough that if it goes down I believe that it will go up again someday so I just hold it even I'm still at a loss and after all it is just a paper loss unless you sell it really at a loss then you really lose your money.

Planning, knowing the support and target price to buy and sell will help you.
5379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: January 09, 2021, 06:05:05 AM
I see a lot of signature wearers discussing gambling quite frequently in this section of the board. I’m curious, what do you do with your signature campaign earnings? Do you support your advertiser and gamble it on their platform, save it, or spend it? I assume most people probably gamble it, and that’s why signature campaigns are able to be so generous, but maybe some users are taking advantage of the funds to help support themselves or even give back to charities or organizations they enjoy. If you have a good use for your earned signature campaign earnings, share it here, or even if you have a not so good use. Smiley
TBH, I tried doing all 3 of it. I gambled on their site some of my earnings, I also save some and currently holding but most importantly, I'm spending it since I'm the one who is paying some expenses here in our house.

I know that there are some who are gambling some of their earnings for some reason but I'm not a guy who is gambling too much. I'd rather spend that money in helping other people than other things since I really love helping other people Smiley. To all of us who are in a signature campaign who is earning BTC, know where you are putting your BTC with.

To add, I bought some of my gadgets that I'm using right now because of the earnings and I thank them Smiley.
5380  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big BTC price correction incoming???? on: January 09, 2021, 05:59:54 AM
When will the next correction occur in your opinion? Also how big of a correction will it be?

I only have a small amount invested (I just started crypto trading right before this bull run started in Nov.), and am contemplating selling my position and reentering the market after the dip occurs.

 Huh
If I will say that next week will be the time when the crypto market will make a correction will you take it??
If somebody will say that there will be no correction at all will you take it??

If only somebody knows when will be the next correction then he or they might be rich by now since the know what can happen in the future. Regarding to your small investment, its your decision when to exit and when to enter again. Having a plan will help you trade better. Now if you are asking when will be the correction then ask Nostradamus maybe he can help you Smiley.
