5361  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinLenders, input.io and coinchat doesn't salt or use a strong hash algo on: July 12, 2013, 07:30:45 AM
bullshit,

WOW Your not a programmer, your a con, this is horrible. Should be salted and using a hash like bcrypt that can't be brute forced, so you can't post users passwords, that is the worst thing ever!
I use bcrypt for Inputs, and good salts for CoinLenders.
I don't care if I upset or violate the privacy of scammers. If you dislike this policy, you can (1) not scam people or (2) not use my services.

So your going to believe him if one of his sites doesn't have for sure, I am 100% none of his sites do. Just a programming hence, I use the same template for all my sites, and 99% of programmers do. So yeah. If you believe him then good for you, but I am not.

yes, I believe him.

This is a warning! Don't use these sites, TF can access your password at anytime! And take over your other accounts.

so, someone post the nmap and we'll analyze it.

dude can you please stop posting users passwords? I know this one is an evil person, but this attidue makes me want to withdraw all my btc i've stored on your services. you just can't do that if you're offering legit services.
I wouldn't have been able to post it if he used a good password. That hash comes up when you google it.

If you do scam me, or someone else on my site, then I will disclose information.

it doesn't matter if you can google it or table it in 5 mins. how would you feel if your bank would post passwords of their fraudulent customers?

I would question their trust.

no offence, but this is a no go.

I mean bm is almost pgp, million times better than email, but why not also add pgp. It's just an extra second vs in jail for years.

+1 for pgp, shouldn't be too hard to implement, right?

5367  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [CoinChat] The sad story of whiskers75 (TradeFortress, mind piping in?) on: July 11, 2013, 01:43:13 PM
so you got banned and every living creature on the chat hates you. instead of wasting your time making over 9000 alts and crying on a non related forum you could've just moved to another IRC.
5368  Economy / Goods / Re: sell 849 euro for 700euro or a good bet on: July 11, 2013, 01:28:42 PM

I wouldn't call coinlenders returns low by any means. Really, really high actually.

huh? 1,8% per month is not high, at least in my books.
5370  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] BTC Clicks - Bitcoin PTC (Paid-to-click) Website on: July 11, 2013, 11:42:16 AM
Prices are not really competitive with the other PTC Bitcoin services.

I was sceptical at first but I have made BTC0.02 in 4 days. I don't know of any other PTC site that is paying out any where near that.

feel free to tell us how you made 0.02 btc in 4 days. with how many refs? since you alone make 0.0015 btc per day if you're active member and click all 30 ads.

you'd earn 0.005 per 10 days of active membership.

Well there ain't any coin there any more (no, I didn't take it).

And since this the newbie forum I'm going to state a WARNING.

Don't go importing random private keys from the interwebs into your own wallet. You could end up sending coin to that address by accident, and since its public, you'll have lost that coin sooner than you can pull back the transaction.

Bad TradeFortress, should know better  Angry

use blockchain.info - you can leech off the coins without adding the address.

inputs.io doesn't offer an import function yet, right?

5375  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: If you used Brainwallet.org - MUST READ! - Security Breach! on: July 11, 2013, 08:00:07 AM
I decided to mess around and make a brain wallet.  I used the website www.brainwallet.org.  Supposively, this javascript is client side only.  Anyway, I made a brain wallet and decided to test it.  I moved my spare change (I keep most of my BTC in cold storage) about 0.178 BTC to the new brain wallet I made "15WjmFwpZ1mp3fG55JGoGv3p5y9jtehEB2".  Literally within seconds, it was moved to a new bitcoin address not owned by me "1Lp3S4PajwhuFCyrAXSFdVGxLuqTsXtVQC" https://blockchain.info/address/15WjmFwpZ1mp3fG55JGoGv3p5y9jtehEB2

Mechs, the coins in question have been returned directly to the address in your sig:

https://blockchain.info/tx/8a91cca81bcb8ce4b9483e7d933b84b9363cd1dc0c40d37521f796403047e606

The brainwallet.org author is not the culprit, my bot is.  Since you don't come off as one of the people running a competing bot (and trust me there are lots), I'm fairly confident these coins are indeed yours and am happy to return them.

PSA: Picking a bad brainwallet password is like throwing your money on the sidewalk ... except instead of just the people around you scrambling to pick it up, the entire internet can and most of the internet has no interest in giving your money back.  Worse yet, it's actually impossible for someone wanting to give them back to do so with 100% confidence they are giving them to their rightful owner.

I agree with the sentiment expressed in the thread that if it's memorable, it's eventually gonna find its way into someone's rainbow table and I leave all you brain wallet users with this to ponder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6iW-8xPw3k

wow, that turn of events!
