5361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IDO can do better ? on: December 18, 2020, 10:10:09 AM
I've got my eye on MahaDao for few days now and today I see that it's ROI is over 300% already, the reason why I got my eye on this project isn't really about the use case but the fundraising strategy they planned to use which is called IDO, I'm surprised this project raised big money through IDO, is IDO better than IEO? MahaDao price is over 2$ now and trading volume is over 5 million dollars too
First time to hear about this IDO, a new type of crowdfunding through decentralized exchanges. So after, ICO, we have IEO, defi and now IDO. I see the same thing for this crowdfunding.
It will be ending up as the same as other tokens but the first projects that will conduct this strategy would be the first most successful of them all. And the ones that will follow the steps of the first tryouts of IDO, they're already late and investors would just come and by to those projects without any seriousness but only to make money.
5362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: HELP Getting CEL out of Coinbank Wallet on: December 18, 2020, 09:06:57 AM
Never heard of this "CEL" crypto through Coinbase or is it the Celsius Network? but if that's a coin that they've ever supported and then delisted it afterward, they're the only ones that can help you. I'll compare it with other exchanges that are delisting coins and tokens onto their platform by giving a notice that users have to withdraw it with a given period until before they get out its fully support to that token. They can't really allow you to withdraw CEL to your bank account if that's a crypto, you have to convert it first with USD if it's tradable to another exchange or at least sell and convert it to bitcoin and then, sell bitcoin to USD to be deposited to your bank account.
5363  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long will go Bitcoin? on: December 18, 2020, 06:23:24 AM
What do you think? How long will Bitcoin continue this rally?
Maybe up to 2022? we all have the same question and this is a guessing game until when this bull run will last.

When will Alts start a bull run?
Ethereum, Litecoin and other altcoins are also making themselves a run but it's not big as what you're expecting. Maybe you don't see the push for their prices but there's a small addition to them and you have to reflect on it until you see the bull run for alts starts. IMHO, it has already started but it's on a gradual process and could show its full extent after bitcoin's bull run.
5364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Think Bitcoin Will Stay and also ethereum on: December 18, 2020, 05:12:18 AM
We have no problem with bitcoin. And there is no question and doubt about it. For most altcoins, it's likely that many of them will be exterminated in the market and altcoin investors will start to realize that they have to consolidate their investments into one particular altcoin. Ethereum could be a choice or any other altcoin that's very popular. But what if most of these altcoins will just into a merge and will start supporting one coin, could be bitcoin and for alts Ethereum. Although it's hard to imagine that someday there will be a closeness to most of these investors if there are always developers that keeps on making new projects and will say that they have fixed the other coins fault and lack of features.
5365  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think that the price of bitcoin is going to exceed 20,000$? on: December 17, 2020, 11:53:00 AM
its possible since many rich people try to avoid inflation, they will keep some of their wealth on crypto. and it will impact on the price rising up
It just did broke $20k and within less than 24 hours price broke $23k.
The big institutions that have joined and invested influenced the market but this is also about the halving.
With the latest breakout to another ATH, google searches is yet to increase because we have lower than 2017 google search for 'buy bitcoin'.
5366  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Every BTC trader should use it on: December 17, 2020, 10:49:40 AM
That is a lot of tools that anyone can try each of it. But only choose what are the useful and you don't necessary to use all of them at the same time.
There will be some that will be useful and helpful to your trading or holding career to make our choices easier.
Usually the tools that I use are the ones to monitor the prices and compare it from one source to another one.
5367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Business proposal - i need advisor on: December 17, 2020, 09:43:37 AM
Thanks guys. I think am gonna stick to my own guts and do researches myself and risk at my decisions. I did some time hang up with couple of guys at Telegram like 'friends' and both times i was listening to them i lost or something went wrong, or they tried to borrow some money from me. Seems like its unlikely to find a friend at Telegram that you can grow together in Crypto and comment on situation and help each other at investing and making money. Cheers.  Grin
That seems to be a good offer for any stranger online but you don't do that. You don't trust random person on the internet that shall give you advise what to buy and when to sell. And what's with the borrowing of money? why did you allowed them to do that knowing that you haven't profited with them.
You don't have any friends if it's about investments. You will depend to your own guts and decision if it's about crypto investments. But a piece of advise that I can give to you, buy bitcoin!
5368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are the best coin in 2020? on: December 17, 2020, 08:43:48 AM
bitcoin is still the best coin in 2020. look at now the price is up to $ 20k. doesn't that make bitcoin the best-positioned coin currently in crypto
To let you know, the highest that I've seen lately for bitcoin is $22,700. That's so far the highest and it looks like it doesn't want to stop its rise.
The more you hold bitcoin, the more profit you'll get obviously. The prepared investors that have bought bitcoin when it was quite in lower price, did a great decision.
And what we know about bitcoin as the best coin all of the years will never fade.
5369  Economy / Speculation / Re: $25,000 can be achieved by end of year? Or January 2021? on: December 17, 2020, 07:01:34 AM
Finally we have achieved the most awaited mark of $20,000 now what's next? Do you think Bitcoin will cross the next landmark of $25,000 by the end of the year or it might happen in 2021? As per my earlier prediction based on market analysis I thought the value of Bitcoin will cross $20,000 by second week of December which seems bit sceptical at the beginning of this month but now it has come true and of my prediction goes right then Bitcoin will reach $25,000 by the end of this month as next 14 days will be more bullish or chaotic.
I doubt it but who am I to say that it won't happen because with the performance that bitcoin has shown, it's very possible that it can happen. With the 14 days/2 weeks remaining that we have for this 2020, with that time, a lot can still happen within that period.
So whether me and others doubt it that it can reach $25k by that given period, if it will happen and this bullish trend continues, who are we to say no right? But if not, leave the rest for 2021 and that's another year that can make our expectations goes into reality.
5370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Fishing sites and fake wallet on: December 16, 2020, 08:20:40 PM
I just want to know that is it possible to have password in wallet just like we have in exchanges(if any popular wallet implement this then other will also do).
So that for any withdrawal we will be always asked for otp no matter if you mistakenly shared your phrase key or not

As of this many of us will be safe( Specially for those who are new in crypto)

I also had lost 700$ worth tokens 😭 and these type of scams are very popular in crypto
Sorry with what happened to you shubh. Just a correction for the spelling, it should be phishing not fishing.
Anyway, it's really a requirement to use 2FA apps like Google Auth or Authy whichever you prefer but I've seen experts are preferring more Authy. Would you mind to tell us what are those fake wallets and website that you've been a victim of? in exchanges and wallets, activate 2FA all of the time.
5371  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you manage Bitcoin price risk? on: December 16, 2020, 07:11:04 PM
Being in the market for a couple of years, I don't manage bitcoin's price risk anymore. I'm looking to it as something positive just as its volatility will make my investment someday higher than what I'm expecting. Just as you've said that a forever hold guy, I think I belong to that group.
No worries even if the market swings from top to bottom and vice versa, what's important to me is that I'll see someday the bitcoin I've got will rise in an unexpected price. Although it's a tough game for holders, patience is really one of the key to overcome those market swings. With the experience and witnessing and enduring several bears, it made my feeling numb as I look at the price.
5372  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Btc hit $20799, what is the next move ? on: December 16, 2020, 06:05:17 PM
It has finally removed those barriers that stops it hitting that price. Next move is wait until it corrects as bit and if it makes the support at $18k to $19k, that would be the greatest support for bitcoin this time. I'm firm with my plan of holding it for more years and this only shows a greater encouragement that bitcoin can hit prices that we're no longer expecting before. Can you imagine when it has hit $3k on 2018? the majority didn't expected it back to $20k by that time and this time, we're expecting a higher price. I guess that belief increases in due time as it passes new high prices. And for the alts, we'll see that they will eventually rise with bitcoin.
5373  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on: December 16, 2020, 08:03:25 AM
Why bitcoin is volatile in December?
Bitcoin is used to be volatile ever since it has been made. The likely that we're getting just like in 2017 is just a mere coincidence. Read the explanation of people on this thread[1].
[1] Why Christmas
You'll get ideas why we're having this bull run this month. Last year, we got almost the same bull run it didn't closed $12k-$13k and that happened on June/July IIRC.
5374  Economy / Economics / Re: Look like the crypto will be today what the stock market was 90s on: December 16, 2020, 07:11:45 AM
And most of the market cap from low cap coin will eventually go to bitcoin. Investors become wise in this trend and don't wanna miss every single opportunity from the train we have for bitcoin. As you compare that we're like in 90s of stock market. I've also read some comparison for the great gold rush which is also similar 5 decades ago or so. Which is turning everyone into this great digital gold rush which is gaining itself becoming common due to the necessity that we have through internet.
This seems that it will be the case, right now we have thousands of coins in the market in a way similar to what happened to the dot com bubble and all the useless companies that appeared at the time, however out of that bubble some of the giants of today appeared and the same is going to happen to this market, while I still think in the future we are going to have thousands of coins I really think that 85% to 90% of the total market cap will be in bitcoin as regular people will see no reason to use altcoins at all except to speculate with them.
That's for sure for bitcoin. The total market cap of bitcoin describes how huge it is and with those thousands of useless altcoins, bitcoin remains the best out of it.
The comparison would likely be bitcoin is gold and the rest of the altcoins market are just plain metal. While the top altcoins could considerably be the precious metals as well.
5375  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Btc and alts on: December 15, 2020, 09:52:21 AM
I am confused among these, cauze people says

1. Btc pump then alts dump
2. Alts pump then btc dump
3. Both btc and alts follow each other

But we can see that only the 3rd scenario is happening right now i.e alts are following btc.
What's about the 1st and 2nd.
(Actually I am a newbie in trading)
There's no actual pattern for that. We have seen that happened before and there is no certain clue when the 1, 2 or 3 scenario would happen. There's no actual synchronization of those and we'll just see it randomly. Each of those can happen at no particular order. Glad that you have asked this kind of observation as it shows that you're truly interested to know about how the market works but as a newbie, what you have to do is to follow the advise above which I'll quote for you and focus on it which is the easy step of determining your status in the market as you watch it. No need to worry about such patterns as long as you secure yourself while holding bitcoin.

What you need to do, keep tabs on bitcoin price, buy it at low and then sell at high. Rinse and repeat.
5376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of fake Telegram groups on: December 15, 2020, 08:49:12 AM
It's the place of most scammers, they can change their usernames easily and groups could be composed of paid telegram members or a service that puts fake members into that group. Don't be fooled by those scammers and do your part of being vigilant not being greedy if there are giveaways or airdrops that have been said. It's an inappropriate reason that you are interested of that, you need to be aware and DYOR, check the official pages, websites and everything for that certain group or project you research.

5378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will eat Gold’s market share, according to JPMorgan on: December 15, 2020, 06:07:42 AM
Things are getting positive for bitcoin this time and it's coming from JP Morgan. Just going back and remembering a few years ago, they're one of the bashers of bitcoin and then turned suddenly that they're accumulating bitcoin that they've hidden for their own sake.
Bitcoin will take every assets share in the future once most of these investors see that there's much more opportunity that their money would grow by just buying and holding bitcoin. It's an asset class although a speculative one still, a very rewarding and they will not go wrong having it.

5380  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot go as per your plan on: December 14, 2020, 09:47:04 PM
There has been many topics in this forum with open ended questions like why didn't Bitcoin reach $20k mark or why there has been a slowdown, what's the reason for the recent fluctuations and when is it going to achieve $50k or $100k?

We need to understand that Bitcoin doesn't go as per our expectations or predictions because here are numerous factors which steers the Bitcoin market and price like demand and supply,  government's restrictions on Bitcoin or support for crypto currency then comes the whales. I couldn't answer everyone individually but I hope this will help users who have posted similar articles. Even I was one of them in the past.
When there's a surge, that's what I usually ask. What's the common reason for that rise. I just want to know what's the reason behind it and as usual, the logical answer is the higher demand and lesser supply per se. Plans that we have when to sell doesn't really go along if you're impatient. Like selling at @$18k-$19k or any price that you set. Because when a newbie sees a plunge, he'll create a decision that he'll regret soon. They all think the same that it's like the end of bitcoin. I once had a thought like that before.
