Bundesliga bust at 22... but man it feels good to watch a game, and feel all that adrenaline. BVB was on a couple of my accas so I'm disappointed they let themselves down with defensive mistakes and some poor decisions, but at least they never stopped trying to level even when the clock was running out.

Looked like it'd go for a high bust all the while TBH as it was 19 points with 20 minutes of regular time to go, but a mixture of good fortune and tired lefts played 15 minutes without incident, then a corner for 20 points at 86'... Leverkusen goal on the break at 87' for 21.

And we all held our breath for the goal at 90' -- ref called for offside but VAR reinstated. Ah well, we try again!
5362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: February 06, 2022, 03:40:06 PM
^^ Indeed, super match. We're all spoiled everytime we see these teams play but man, BVB. Just when you feel confident enough to bet on their form, they kill themselves with pretty bad decision-making. I know they've climbed out of similar holes with superior opposition but the way they're playing, even if they find a way to score 3 goals in the 2nd half, I can sense they're also going to let in at least one more. Hope they prove me wrong, but I guess I can kiss my bets goodbye today. Anyone else feel like Bellingham seems a bit subdued today?
5363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 06, 2022, 02:28:46 PM
Right, something is really wrong with Atalanta. Didn't watch the game as eyes were on Liverpool but I wisely avoided adding them into an acca despite odds seemingly looking good value. You said they were playing badly rdbase?

Definitely feel "good" I didn't feel for Inter or Atalanta on betting, but then I haven't survived other picks as well yet, and Napoli right now are looking a bit blunt every time they reach the box they seem to be second guessing themselves, very weird. Not that that's important as Sassuolo already down 2 goals and they're on my ticket haha, so I could very well be losing my Italian acca early anyway...

regarding Inter, they obviously saw my pick on them on half-time, and decided to lose this one

Remind me to ask you for your picks one of these days. I thought I had the better of you in La Liga pool but you turned it all around with an exact pick later on phew!
5364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: February 06, 2022, 02:06:00 PM
Man, it's a good day to be a Liverpool fan.

Best scene of the day is our Elliot coming back from September injury -- amazing he's only needed 5 months to come back from such a horrific injury, and then to come on and score a brilliant goal? Then we have our new signing Diaz also come in to provide the assist.

Minamino scoring, Trent and Robbo assisting, Jota scoring, the only slight flaw was we didn't keep a clean sheet. But big win, and seeing so many people coming back from injury (Thiago, Keita). Lovely. Can't wait to see them resume the premiership battle against Leicester!
5365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you answer a couple of questions to a potential bitcoin buyer? on: February 06, 2022, 12:59:14 PM
The whole point of this topic is the question why would I buy bitcoin in the first place and why would I pay the ask price, and not whether I can sell it.

But I'm telling you in my answer why you would buy Bitcoin (as opposed to gold, as one of the examples you gave).

Since we're not going to discuss whether or not gold or Bitcoin would be more "valuable", how easily you can USE it (or in the case of gold, stocks, or oil or any other type of security, to liquidate it) actually becomes a very valid reason to buy Bitcoin.

As I mentioned, I couldn't even easily buy gold even if I wanted to. I also probably wouldn't easily be able to buy most types of securities because of my own rather flexible (even vague) nationality and jurisdiction. Possibly harder for others living in other jurisdictions. None of this matters in the case of Bitcoin.

I'll give one very present use case fleeing war refugees who have to survive weeks at sea -- why would they preserve their wealth with gold, wheat, oil, or sunset picture which they have no means of transporting or protecting on a long dangerous journey (not to mention finding someone to buy it off them), when they could instead ensure if they were to arrive at their destination of refuge/asylum, Bitcoin?

Fulham actually took the lead, nice assist from old boy Harry Wilson but City quickly restored parity and then it was one-way traffic from then on. Quite a few good picks today, but I'm going to go for these two. One a HT Egypt lead (I do want Senegal to win but I can always do a small hedge can't I?). And then a Serie A acca.

FA Cup games more or less went the way of the favourites yesterday, after some mild shocks weathered by the first two Premier League teams, but I doubt we'll see any surprises in today's opener -- and that's not me being an arrogant Liverpool supporter, just purely on the basis of the first 20 minutes of the game where we've not only been in control, we've had a few chances already --  when VVD is taking shots from the box, you know it's on.

Just looked like we escaped giving a penalty, Konate my man. Crowd at Anfield is popping, Diaz warming up too!
5368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you answer a couple of questions to a potential bitcoin buyer? on: February 06, 2022, 11:14:02 AM
Look, I'm not one of those super pro Bitcoin evangelists that say Bitcoin is everything and then some. It's definitely got its limitations but you're really not being creative if you think you can't use Bitcoin for anything other than to hold and look at (I don't even open my wallet to look at it, I just know roughly how much it holds and then only see its amount every now and then when I'm adding to it).

I've never owned gold before (to use the example you used) but that's less because I wasn't interested and more because of access. Now if you had gold right now, tell me how soon do you think you'd be able to use it for the specifics you mentioned? How soon and how easily would you be able to find a buyer to liquidate your gold too, in the specific amount you had?

With Bitcoin, I could do all this in mere minutes, either directly with my BTC or selling it right away to someone local (also in mere minutes), if I needed to:
- pay for bills
- make a purchase
- send emergency money
- convert my assets

I want aesthetics? In my last post before this, I explained how I bought a pretty gold-plated wallet to store a bit for someone to hold and admire (again, not my thing but hey, whatever rocks your Bitcoin boat).
5369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Making valentine's day memorable with bitcoins. on: February 06, 2022, 10:20:50 AM
Yeah the Ballet card's not too bad. I got one as a gift myself last year (or was it the year before) and I have to say, quality and impression is pretty good, and modern enough it comes with an app to track balance, and easy enough to introduce someone to Bitcoin -- and allowing them the freedom later on to switch wallets if they want. I got the Lunar New Year edition and am sure the Valentine's design is as good as it looks.

But don't make that THE gift, just part of it, haha. It's Valentine's day, you gotta make it romantic too, trust me. You don't want this Bitcoin gift to be memorable for the wrong reasons haha.
5370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌍⚽Sportsbet AFCON prediction pool discussion thread on: February 05, 2022, 09:06:56 PM
So only slaman predicted the upset, but it wasn't to be. 3 goals up until 72nd minute from just 2 shots on goal and an Onana own goal... and then Cameroon found their shooting boots. No one predicted the draw huh?

But what a treat the second half turned out to be, just as a 3rd-placing game should be haha. Why couldn't the teams have played like this all tournament long huh? Aboubakar's got to get the Golden Boot, even a Mane 4-goal haul won't be enough.

Listening to penalties now on Clubhouse Radio. 1-1 so far.

And yes, well done to Harko and cls. Well done guys.
5371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 05, 2022, 06:40:50 PM
Missed the first half of the derby, you know real life. Stats can't really tell me what kind of game it was but this second half, not bad entertainment. Scrappy for sure, but fast turnover (to be fair, if AFCON had as good pitches the games could also be this fast but then again we're also used to shitty WC games in Europe), and refs that just let games flow. Makes you really realise how much you can miss club football no?

Giroud double, I'm hoping for some fast-paced crazy stuff at the end before I switch over to "boring" EPL haha.

Oh and well done Trofo on first yellow cap on last round. Saved yourself some great embarrassment there Wink

And I also realised I totally forgot to put in challenge picks =\
5372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 05, 2022, 04:28:05 PM
@joca: In the last 10 rounds I've swung from 11 points ahead at one point to 8 points from top, and now back up by a small margin. I took some risks, some paid off, others didn't, but generally the draws are the toughest to predict and seem to snag the most points vs rest. Good luck but also bad luck Wink

Anyway, slightly off-topic but caught the first 2 FA Cup games. Heartbreak for the non-league side Kidderminster... damned Hammers found a way to score late, and then final kick almost of Extra Time. Chelsea also survived after Plymouth missed a late Extra Time penalty. Weekend feels good!

Then right after that City-Fulham game gave 2 goals in 7 minutes. Course, City looks like they're dominating, and now 4-1 up but I have money on Fulham so I can pretend we're still alive with 20 mins to go, Harry Wilson and Neco Williams in the team, maybe they do the Reds a sentimental favour at the death (ha ha ha).

If you ask me, Burnley greatly improved their offensive potential in this transfer window. They sold Wood for 30M and brought in Weghorst for 14M. He and Cornet look like very respectable pairing up front. Maybe we will see new more creative Burnley soon. I had Watford winning 2:1 and just changed it towards Burnley wining 2:1. Watford really disappointed me in their last game and I don't trust them anymore.

Same as my scoreline then, I have to be honest, I don't really know much about their new acquisitions but I do feel they did a good piece of business letting Wood go as his returns weren't as valuable as they might have seemed on paper -- you have to find a way to not act like perennial relegation battlers at some point. Which is what Watford are becoming. Hornets have a bad habit of performing at the end of season too, though like you, I have not counted on them to do anything except score a goal a game while losing.
5373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 05, 2022, 04:00:59 PM
Getafe and Elche almost gave me a perfect start to this round, but they BOTH just HAD to score another goal in last 4 mins of the respective games. So weird. And to think I was actually thinking to put a lot of 3-0 and 3-1 scores... but no, 2 close scores is better than 2 exacts when you don't feel you took too much risk.

i just realized i won the yellow cap in the last Round. heh! casperBGD, i'm coming for you!  Grin

Real Madrid have never won the treble. Copa del Rey twice in the past 28 years, so many doubles, just never a treble. Crazy or what?
Yeah, I cry everytime... Man, even Celtic and PSV won a treble ffs :⌃(

Well done, toma, well done! ... and yeah honestly, am still getting over this weird fact that Real have never celebrated this trifecta. Celtic I would say and PSV have it "easier" but then you include UCL in there and you can't take any shine off their treble, so fair enough.

5374  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Legit Btc Mixer/Washer wanted on: February 05, 2022, 02:59:38 PM
You probably shouldn't take our word for it, and since I carry the signature, can be accused of not being objective, but Chipmixer's only the second service of its kind I've ever used properly.

There are several ways to distinguish the different services but I might mention that what made Chipmixer stand out when it first emerged circa 2017 is that it's still the only mixer to my knowledge that breaks up chronological analysis in mixing -- when you send coins, you receive preloaded "chips", which you can sweep out at any time. As these inputs exist before you mix, it makes it much more difficult to trace your coins using chronology analysis.

^ I don't normally respond to Meta mentions but happened to read the first few lines in preview. It still feels very recent when I got bumped by kind users to pop into Legendary, and most merits since then I would say have also been out of generosity.

Always trying to pass on that kindness, but happy to recognise familiar names in the list. Well done to all, merit serves its purpose very well in those usernames I recognise
5376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: February 05, 2022, 02:09:58 PM
Let's be kind on United (not) and focus instead on the fact that right now, UCL holders Chelsea are heading into extra time AFTER going behind to ... 3rd-tier midtable Plymouth while West Ham are on the brink of KO to giant killers Kidderminster, in SIXTH tier of English football.

Both Prem League teams are also strong, or at least experienced. Bloody hell, right?

I put my bets early on Fulham at 18/1 to beat City but damn I've could have missed a sitter in these two early games.
5377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +78295 units on: February 05, 2022, 01:32:58 PM
Trofo haha, I saw what you did for sure! Oh Pep is special, that's for sure. I'm still always going for Klopp over him but I've always said that guys like Pep and Klopp are tailor-made for certain clubs and switching them would be disastrous I bet. Klopp believes Pep is the best, and Pep has almost said the same, and of course they would say that, but more importantly, I also read something that Biesela said about them and it went something like:

- Klopp has a clear tactic that involves him infusing his enthusiasm and identity into a club, that makes him and his teams exciting.
- Pep is completely unreadable and cannot be replicated, that makes him an enigma.

Which brings me to today's pick, Fulham riding high, and odds are completely against them, but good for me. West Ham are now at HT down to... Kiddermeinster, and Boro KO'd United. FA Cup magic, right?

Odds swinging from 15-18 quite fast close to the game, I picked a good swing.

5378  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for Feb on: February 05, 2022, 01:26:45 PM
Nothing makes me happier to see the majority of people vote for dead cat bounce.
Yes, I think the majority who see a dead cat bounce and the reasoning behind. And it's early at that, bitcoin is going on a hard nose dive phase, December-January. No one foresee this one massive spike, going above $40k++.

We will see, I wanted to see $45k first and gauge where the market is going, happy though to hold still some of my BTC. Just selling some for the holidays, and then buying some during the fall.

As much as I'm keen to not let my optimism get the better of me, I've been familiar enough with the markets to know dead cat bounces simply aren't a thing with Bitcoin, at least not to the conventional understanding I used to have of it in pre-Bitcoin markets.

And yeah, let's see 45k first, let's see a string of bear failures to take that support down, then I'll be a bit more confident of another uptick level. Either way, I'm definitely not doing anything with my holdings until next halving (barring a shock ATH beyond my wildest dreams), so this is just entertainment for me.
5379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO COFFEE & CRYPTO MENU on: February 05, 2022, 11:38:31 AM
Well, we have BTS themed cafes and Spongebob themed drinks so why not crypto themed menus. I don't really ever feel these help with adoption but they can't be bad I guess.

Come on, forum, get some Aussie to go there for an episode of Bitcointalk Youtube and see if the sentiment is worth the fuss.

And to all those saying they can't wait to buy coffee with Bitcoin... Well, I wonder what's stopping you before?
5380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 05, 2022, 10:45:34 AM
Today is the last game of the week we left behind Burnley vs Watford,I have gone for an upset if I can call it an upset for Watford to win 1-3 as a result, this is the only game of the Premier League during the weekend, the real action starts at Tuesday at 8 February, but this post I made it more as a reminder for people to not forget to put their prediction for the game of tonight.

Yeah, Watford winning is an upset only as Sarr is not in the team (thought he was injured and then his name popped up at Afcon!) and they are once more in their new manager streak (sttangely they do not seem to benefit from new manager bounce).

I also feel they might win this one, but for now I keep faith in Burnley home win to snap their shitty streak.
