Sorry, because when I am talking about .gif I am meaning animated files (images, etc). You are right, but have you tried to upload a not-aminated .gif file? What will happen?

Yes. I change it with no problems.
If you try to upload animated files it gives this error: Animated GIF images are not allowed
When I upload normal gif file, it's ok.
5382  Other / Meta / Re: hi all on: April 06, 2015, 02:17:18 PM
hello all,

I would like to ask for help how to upload gif to my id

thank you

Only full member and above ranks can use (put) an avatar, and the .gif avatars aren't allowed. So also if you want (full member) you can't put a gif files ad avatar :

'Select the avatar you want to upload. It must be no more than 120px wide, 80px tall, and 100 KiB in size. It must be a PNG, GIF, or JPEG image. It must be safe for work. To remove your avatar, submit this form without choosing any file to upload.'

Gifs are allowed, animated avatars are not allowed. Why did you strike gif? You mislead new members.

It's funny that when the money comes everybody in Bitcoin Foundation is happy, but when they ran out of money they blame each other and foundation itself. They say it's centralized. LOL. Seriously, you notice this when foundation money went to some people's pockets? It was wrong at the first place.
5384  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Prosecutor in case into killing of Berkin E taken hostage in Istanbul courthouse on: April 06, 2015, 02:09:18 PM
They blocked internet sites in Turkey because of first photo (now removed everywhere) which is prosecutor's last photo with gun in his head. We can't open Facebook, Twitter and YouTube without VPN.
Nobody think that's the main reason, since they faked autopsy reports of prosecutor. They found at least 5 police bullets in his body. The main reason is to censor internet before upcoming voting in June 7.
5385  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: export bitcoin wallet address on: April 05, 2015, 03:02:00 AM
You want to export the address, not the private key, from multibit? Just click the "copy address to clipboard" button and past into text file, repeat if needed.

You can modify the address all you want it will only result in you not getting any bitcoins when you use the modified address. Best case you modified the address in a way that makes it invalid, worst case you modified the address in a way that no private key for the modified address exisits.

Maybe you should tell what you are actually trying to do, because I think you are after vanity addresses and took a wrong turn somewhere.
i already try that, but it's make me tired.
let say i want to create 100 address or more, and i want to export that address into text file.
it's so tired if i copy paste manually, so if anyone knows how to export them all at once, like export private keys.

export=copy to text file? if so i think the only way is to copy paste it manually, if its so tiring for you, you can do it atleast copy 10-20 addresses in a day

No, actually there is a way to automatically export your whole wallet in a text file with their private keys. I did this when I was using vanitygen addresses so long time ago. I couldn't exactly remember how to do it, if I find it I'll update my post. You can also ask it in Multibit board, you can find an answer. (or PM jim618)

Don't feel bad, that coupon was almost impossible to win anyway. You put very possible bets -except Novi Pazar- but if you put everything in the same coupon, always some games burn your whole coupon. I don't put more than 4 matches in my coupons.

Also in the last game in 14.12.2014 PSV Eindhoven beats Twente 2-0. Today's game is 0-5, it was a surprise for everyone. I'm sure you hate Twente now. Smiley
5387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Attitude Seedbank now accepts bitcoins on: April 03, 2015, 07:40:37 PM
It's illegal in my jurisdiction. You can spend a lot of time in jail for owning these. How fair is this world, right? Smiley
5388  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 110gh/s Sha-256 Miner- WTF SHOULD I MINE? on: April 03, 2015, 02:58:56 AM
It would be better if you don't rent them at all. Do you have a chance to cancel remaining renting time? Sha-256 mining is not profitable, you can't even make ROI. Maybe you make some bucks with X11, X13 etc. new generation algorithms.
Take this as a lesson and don't try cloud mining for Sha-256 again.
5389  Other / Meta / Re: Discussion of illegal topics? on: April 02, 2015, 10:45:19 PM
I guess talking about anything would be ok as this forum supports free speech. Including asking how meth is made, because they already have a TV show about that in the US itself. I don't think there would be a legal problem about that.

Searching on Google for 'bitcointalk terms of service' doesn't yield any results and there aren't any links to such pages in the footer either.

There isn't any ToS in this forum when we sign up. This also show us freedom of speech. But if you try to abuse it your content will probably be deleted.
5390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll- Would you live in a country where their official currency is Bitcoin? on: April 01, 2015, 05:58:53 PM
Why would we limit this to only our country? I would like to live in a world which Bitcoin is the one and only currency. We don't need banks, we don't need corrupt financial corporates. Think bigger, think outside of the box. Bitcoin is the first step of new world's financial system.

Prosecutor in case into killing of Gezi Resistance's youngest victim Berkin Elvan taken hostage in Istanbul courthouse.

Suspected members of the outlawed far-left Revolutionary People’s Liberation Party-Front (DHKP-C) took prosecutor Mehmet Selim Kiraz hostage at Istanbul’s Çağlayan Courthouse on March 31. Kiraz is the prosecutor in the case into the killing of Gezi victim Berkin Elvan.

A photo was released on social media showing someone pointing a gun at the head of Kiraz against the backdrop of a flag of the illegal organization, which was first shared on Twitter by @aysekosan123, suspected to be affiliated with the DHKP/C. The account was hacked soon after. “This account has been seized. Everything is for the TURKISH people,” the hackers wrote in a tweet.

Various Twitter accounts linked to leftist organizations stated that the DHKP/C claimed responsibility for the hostage-taking incident.

According to a statement carried on halkinsesi.tv, a site that is close to the DHKP-C, the perpetrators gave the authorities until 3:36 p.m. to meet its demands.

The perpetrators’ demands included a live confession by the police officers suspected of killing Elvan, the prosecution of the officers responsible in a “people’s court,” the acquittal of all people being tried for participation in solidarity rallies for Elvan, as well as other requests.

Meanwhile, gunshots were said to have been heard at the building during the hostage-taking process, which took place at 12:36 p.m.

Special teams were dispatched to the scene. It remains unknown how the assailants entered the building with a gun, but police cordoned off the sixth floor of the courthouse where Kiraz’s room is located and evacuated the courthouse.

Istanbul Police Chief Selami Altınok told reporters in front of the courthouse that negotiators were talking with the perpetrators, adding that two people had taken Kiraz hostage.

Deputy Chief Prosecutor Orhan Kapıcı said they did not want any negative incident and the state’s institutions were “doing what is necessary” to solve the incident.

Speaking to Hürriyet, Deputy Chief Prosecutor Vedat Yiğit said negotiations between the group and the police “continued via a mediator who the group picked.”

Elvan died on March 11, 2014, 269 days after he was sent into a coma when he was struck by a tear-gas canister during the Gezi protests. Kiraz was appointed as the prosecutor of the controversial case six months ago.

Hüseyin Aygün, a deputy from the main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP), said in a series of tweets that he had called Berkin Elvan’s father, Sami Elvan, who demanded the release of the prosecutor.
“My son died, but another person should not die,” he quoted the father as saying.

“I don’t want anyone to even get a nosebleed. Until today, I’ve only demanded justice, and I only want a fair trial,” Sami Elvan also said in a tweet.

Hürriyet correspondent Dinçer Gökçe called the mobile phone number of Kiraz as the hostage situation continued. "The prosecutor is not available right now," a man said on the phone without revealing his identity. He hung up as another person apparently near him shouted "police."

Niyazi Mavi, a lawyer, told CNNTürk that the courthouse "continued working as usual" on the other floors as the hostage crisis unfolds at 2.23 p.m. Less than one hour later, television channels reported that security forces evacuated the building to "prepare to launch an operation to end the crisis."

Meanwhile, the hostage-taking situation led to another gag order, adding to a total of over 150 similar rulings issued in the past four years in Turkey.

The Istanbul Chief Prosecutor’s Office notified the Supreme Council of Radio and Television (RTÜK) of the ban ruling soon after the hostage-taking incident occurred. RTÜK forwarded the decision to Turkish TV stations, which then cut their coverage of the ongoing crisis.

'No link' to massive blackout

At the time when the perpetrators stormed the prosecutor’s room, several Turkish provinces, including Istanbul were suffering from the worst power blackout in 15 years.

Energy Minister Taner Yıldız said it would not be right to link the power outage with the hostage-taking in the courthouse, according to Doğan News Agency.

Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, who had convened related ministers over the blackout, added other ministers to the meeting in order to discuss the extraordinary hostage situation.

Meanwhile, main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) head Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu tweeted about the incident, questioning whether the power blackout was intentionally made to smuggle the weapons inside the courthouse, while also pointing his finger at the National Intelligence Agency (MİT).

“If this country’s National Intelligence Agency deals with issues that are none of its business, then the offices of the republic’s prosecutors will be busted open with fanfare!” read a part of Kılıçdaroğlu’s tweet.

The Turkish government inaugurated the gigantic Çağlayan Courthouse complex in 2011 as “the largest courthouse in Europe.”

What kind of country do we live in? By the time this happens we don't have any electricity for hours. Only city of Van has electricity because they get it from neighbor country Iran.

**RTÜK banned news about this situation.
**From the latest news everybody is dead.
5394  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: PP Chargeback on: March 30, 2015, 07:57:45 PM
Gift (Family and Friends) Payments ensure that the user cannot file a complaint to Paypal saying they did not receive anything, since it was sent by you to "family or friends". Gift Payments are not covered by the Paypal Buyer Protection which means Buyers cannot chargeback payments made to you.

That's wrong. Even if you send money as "gift" when you dispute it Paypal will refund you. They changed their ToS 3-4 years ago.
If you sell Bitcoin with Paypal, buyer can open dispute and get back their money. You can't do anything about this chargeback.
Don't use Paypal for Bitcoin related transactions ever.
5395  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: March 30, 2015, 07:36:43 PM
Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?

It depends on your long term expectations and risk analyze. If you want to take a reasonable risk/profit ratio you can invest in Bitcoin. It takes 3 to 5 years to get %200 profit.
Right now I'm putting %25 of my monthly wage into Bitcoin. I never sell them coins. (I have separate amount for trading though.) When I see the time has come I will sell them. (Probably 4Q this year)
Real estate is risky in my country because there's a balloon now. Prices should have to decrease at least half. I won't invest in real estate in this circumstances.
Don't forget, it's all about timing. You have to go in and out at the right time. Wink
5396  Economy / Economics / Re: $1.4 billion invested in bitcoin, with price slowly declining on: March 30, 2015, 06:53:13 PM
It's clearly not from an individual user. There are a lot of similar Bitcoin addresses which in and out lots of transactions. It starts with 3, so it has to be multi-sig address.

It has nothing to do with current prices. Ups & downs happen all the time, independent of these addresses movements.
5397  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which BTC wallet are you using on: March 30, 2015, 03:48:37 PM
I'm using only Bitcoin Core. I don't trust exchanges, online wallets and third party wallets (even if they are open source). Using full node also gives me the pleasure of becoming a part of Bitcoin world.

I used to lost money in inputs.io, thanks to tradefortress. Undecided
I tried coinbase and blockchain.info at the beginning, but never use them again after this incident.
5398  Economy / Gambling / Re: [POLL] So.. How's your Gambling journey so far? on: March 29, 2015, 04:53:34 PM
I'm positive but with little profit. I don't gamble big amounts. Here my +/- stats from gambling sites:

Dadice: +0.0352 BTC
Just dice: -0.12 BTC
Primedice: +0.08 BTC
Fortunejack: +0.005 BTC
Anonibet: -0.025 BTC
Directbet: +0.03 BTC

Total: +0.0052 BTC

My just dice experiment was long time ago. Probably BTC was not more than 100$. If we think about $ currency I'm positive more. Smiley

What shame? Their only purpose was making money in a legal way. They did it for a long time. Shame on users who trust this ponzi scheme. Those users deserve to get scammed, because their only purpose was making quick bucks. Smiley
It's a win-lose situation actually. Only the first few users could get out of that site with profit. Cointellect got a lot of money from other get-rich-quick dreamers.
you're a jackass.

No, I'm not. It's clear that if you gamble in ponzis, %99 you lose your money. Cointellect is a clear ponzi, they never did mining.
