5381  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: July 21, 2017, 02:55:31 AM
I would like to invest both because i don't want to waste any kind of opportunity and yes you read it right. Gold is also an opportunity because its price is slowly moving up and that is when i will make profits by just investing regularly and holding my share of gold for a lot of years and i will treat them as my retirement fund.
5382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Afraid of August One? on: July 20, 2017, 02:57:22 PM
I ain't afraid of august one because the dominating percentage based on the pie graphs that i saw is BIP91 which is a great news and the only reason why the price of bitcoin is already recovered so fast and just taking off on another price level which is above $2,500 as of now and i hope that i will have a dip again so i can buy more bitcoins  Cool.
5383  Other / Off-topic / Re: Job Vs Bitcoin on: July 20, 2017, 01:19:52 PM
If you really getting good profits or higher profits from bitcoin and you think that it is getting stabled then it is the right time to just resign from your job or leave it and just focus in bitcoin because in bitcoin, you will decide your own working hour maybe in just 4 hours you can already get the minimum salary of each day compare to your work that needs at least 8 hours.

5388  Economy / Economics / Re: Long term argument for bitcoin on: June 30, 2017, 05:14:19 AM
The cryptocurrency market could be anything. The value of these currencies is determined by demand. Bitcoin was the first and therefore the demand is more after the price increase of bitcoin transaction, the situation may change. This is assuming that we do not yet see the active struggle of national currencies with cryptocurrencies.

Yes, its the demand of bitcoin differs from other altcoins.
There's a high demand nowadays of bitcoin but limited in supply while other altcoins are low demand but high in supply because of this the rate of btc is affected.
Therefore bitcoin is the top cryptocurrency not to mention its establish platform.
5389  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: June 30, 2017, 04:43:39 AM

5390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to feel dumb and smart at the same time. on: June 30, 2017, 04:33:40 AM
So I'm back. You might not recognize this account , but that is because i made only a few posts around 2011. I was there at basically the beginning. I could be rich right now.. That's an odd thought! I was there, but i didn't put the time or effort in. Now im back, Bitcoin is higher than i ever thought it'd be, and i'm trading on exchanges. Live and learn. I feel dumb for not staying in, but smart for getting back in. What were you doing Bitcoin wise in 2011? Did you even know about Bitcoin?

I never knew bitcoin way back 6 years ago, like I never heard the word itself.
But 3 years ago, I heard my brother that he's earning money through bitcoin but like I never believe him, so that way I feel dumb for not believing him, if I believed him that day maybe I'm holding some decent btc now but now I feel smart for using my knowledge to do living.
5391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin for Retirement on: June 30, 2017, 02:34:48 AM
Better to invest your bitcoin to some real time investments like putting business or invest in real estate.
Eventhough you still have your bitcoin in you. Like soke bitcoim and real time investments will do for your retirement plan.
Good to have a back up plan coz we'll never know when btc gonna lose its value. Better than safe than sorry.
5392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: June 30, 2017, 02:27:17 AM
I love what makes all bitcoin as bitcoin. Love everything about bitcoin. Especially the high fees and slow transaction! /sarcasm/  Grin
Seriously, the way its decentralized and the anonymity make it as a whole and everything just follows.
Imagining bitcoin in the future makes me giggle about this. And of course the fact that I'm getting some money to this that help me from my bills.
5393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Russia] Burger King to accept Bitcoin this summer! on: June 30, 2017, 02:21:25 AM
It's clever management of business, in my opinion. Obviously Burger King sees a future in bitcoin transactions, online and irl. However, i think that they are probably going to be using a transaction processor such as Bitpay. They say that programs are going to be written to accept these transactions, so hopefully they are able to accept bitcoin transactions directly instead of having a middle-man handling it for them, and thus retaining the privacy and anonymity of bitcoin transactions.

It says nowhere though when this will be implemented. I hope it's going to be soon because it's not rare when someone announces a change in business implementing it 1-2 years after it is even announced.

daaaaaaaaamn
good news
this september i am going to moscow

Please do! And let us all know Smiley

Seems you're all excited huh?  Grin
Yeah let us know how much did you paid for one burgel meal and how long you've wait for the confimation.

5394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the current price drop considered a normal phenomenon? on: June 30, 2017, 02:17:28 AM
Not only in Bitcoin and Ethereum, but at least 90% of the cryptos prices are going down at this moment.  Many Youtubers said that this is normal in the cryptos space, are they correct?  I am not in this market long enough to understand this.   Huh

Price dump of Bitcoin and other Altcoin cryptocurrency is just normal because just like what is happening in the global market, price drop is really expected with this type of cryptocurrencies. This matter is not a real or big thing to worry about right now because it is not just about the price drop because price values plays from time to time it may dump or rise due to the sudden changes in the market so the price drops are just normal.
Definitely agree dropping prices are a phenomenon that is very normal in this cryptosphere because it gives new users a chance to be part of it by buying cheaper bitcoins or altcoins and it is also a sign of supply and demand at play and the speculations at play. But what is phenomenon about this is   prices usually rise after the drop if demand is triggered.

Yes and many users take this as an opportunity to invest more in the crypto currency. Better to have an profitable income from your capital. So nothing to worry about, it's all normal just like in real currency. Be worried when the price doesn't fluctuate, there might be something to that.
5395  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Wallet Stole my bitcoins automatically on: June 30, 2017, 02:02:25 AM
There are 2 possibilities here...

1.  You didn't get the real Electrum.  You accidentally downloaded Electrum from a phishing site that tricked you into thinking you were getting the real Electrum.  This fake Electrum is actually malware that gives you addresses that are under the control of a thief, and they have a constantly running program on their computer that looks for transactions funding any of their addresses and immediately re-spends those bitcoins to a safer address.

2. You have some other malware on your computer that shared your private keys with a thief as soon as it saw that Electrum was being installed.  The thief has a constantly running program on their computer that accepts the stolen/transmitted private keys and looks for transactions funding any associated address. The program immediately re-spends those bitcoins to a safer address.

As others have already pointed out:

1. The real Electrum is open source.  The programming has been looked over carefully by MANY programmers.  If there were any code in the program capable of what you are suggesting, those code reviewers would have made sure the entire internet knew about it.

2. Electrum is one of the 3 oldest bitcoins wallets around. There are thousands (hundreds of thousands?) of Electrum users.  If it was stealing bitcoins as you've described, You wouldn't be the only person with this complaint.

EDIT:  Actually, after some investigation, I suspect that you didn't download the real Electrum.

A bit of searching around the internet indicates that the private key for that address is already publicly known:
5Km2kuu7vtFDPpxywn4u3NLpbr5jKpTB3jsuDU2KYEqeh1xxRnd

There are probably dozens of thieves with programs running 24 hours a day watching for transactions to any address with a known private key and immediately spending those bitcoins.  It is EXTREMELY unlikely (like effectively impossible) that the real Electrum would have generated an address with a publicly known private key.

Wow it shook me. Like I didn't know these things can be happen. Like there were fake electrum address. Better be careful when downloading. Just I thought that your computer just have some viruses but its something up here. Hope you can recover your coins but I guess not.

@sirdannyhamilton I'm impressed in what you said here. Nice analysis huh. I learned a lot to this. Should be very extra careful like I didn't know these things exist like just in a movie. I guess everyone is worried about this issue, electrum support has a lot to explain.
5396  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin? on: June 29, 2017, 07:54:50 AM
Nope I didn't really place all of my funds into it,
I tried to divided into some different alts but most of my funds is in bitcoin.
Yes, divided to alts might be a good idea and you can earn something from altcoins such as trading so that's a good idea actually. You should not place all your funds into bitcoin because fluctuation and you may lose something.

Nah I don't also put all my investment in bitcoin, like you I'll invest in some alt that have potential. Fluctuation is just around in the corner. I also invest in some real time investment. Equally distribution of investments and handling properly means a better future for me.
5397  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BUY high sell low ? on: June 29, 2017, 07:43:05 AM
or may be buy low sell high ?

Lot of noobs traders , don't control their emotions and make worst mistakes : buy at high price and sell at lowest

how to control this ? = put orders (buy/sell) and close the platform
When we are still a newbie on trading we do normally commit mistakes which we would eventually experience this thing. Even myself did this thing going back on the past which causes for me to lose money but no one could able to make things right for you but only to your self realization and the learnings from your past mistakes. As you do trades you will gradually increase knowledge later on and the mistakes you did in the past will be surely avoided since you already got have the idea. This is reality and theres nothing to be ashamed of.

If you're new and you haven't had that much experience, seeing an invested coin drop dramatically in a dump definitely will make you panic. That happened to most traders in their younger trading days. In ine day it happened to me that i sold my coins for 25% lower than my entry price as i panicked watching the price crash down and reading the troll box. Later that day i'd find out that the coin eventually recovered and i could have earned 10% by that time. These things happen and you really have to learn from them to improve
Indeed, the common mistakes of newbie in trading is if they saw that the coin they are trading is dump they will panic and sell it rigth away. However in my case I didn't experience that because I consulted first in my classmate that have enough experience on trading to prevent the panic selling.

Yes it's true and being a beginner is not excuse to trade in a smart way. Yes its not intentionally but if they just do some readings or consult someone who's well experienced they will not end in buy high sell low. So being a newbie doesn't have a mistake by default.
5398  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you Panic? on: June 29, 2017, 07:29:39 AM
Panicking when you reach around 800% profit, then it goes to 650%, then 700%, and you sell at 600% when you see it reach 500% afterwhile and take a break before investing back again when you see a calmer market.

Yes, you'll get panic when this happens to you.
Getting panicked won't help you in deciding things. You can't think right and your emotions took over you.
Yes better to take a break and pick up your thoughts.
Well as for me, when I feel that there's something wrong, before I get panic I'll calm myself before anything else.
5399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: June 29, 2017, 07:10:49 AM
every 5 or 10BTC ... use a new wallet.
i do this.

when you pay ... seller don't know if you have more than 5 or 10 BTC.

New wallet or new private key? What about a reasonable cold/hot wallet mixture? And what about online wallets so that your coins are portable?

I feel there should be a good ratio of such wallet types, I just don't know which ratio would be best.

It seems like 1-2 cold storage wallets, 1 PC hot wallet, 1 brain wallet?, 1 phone hot wallet and 1 internet hot wallet might work, but then what ratio of coins to each wallet?

Definitely, that sounds good distribution. Much safer than storing all your btc in one wallet. You'll feel secured if you gonna do this.
Looks like having huge amount of btc is a headache. I wish I'll have headache too.  Wink
5400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Russia] Burger King to accept Bitcoin this summer! on: June 29, 2017, 06:00:44 AM
It's strange that Burger King starts to accept bitcoins in Russia, but not in any Western countries.
And again, question, how many people will pay with bitcoins for the food. I'm not sure that they will find many people whoarr ready to pay $1-$2 transaction fee for burger which costs few dollars.

Yeah like I'm gonna use my few cash to eat my burgel meal.  Roll Eyes
No hassle. No long waiting of confirmed trx. Just enjoy my burger.
Not to brag anything, I'll just use my btc to some other matter.
