5381  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Do you guys want me/- to create a social network for bitcoin? on: January 17, 2017, 11:08:32 AM
Basically before moon goes any where near the sun it will turn to ashes and vaporizes and nothing will happen to sun whatsoever Smiley
I think you are either drunk or just got laid or simply don't care about anything much. now what kind of social network are we talking here? bitcointalk style or do we need other styles?
5382  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin ticker in the systray (wx toolkit) on: January 17, 2017, 10:54:56 AM
I have written a small ticker application that displays the current bitcoin price in the systray. It uses the wx toolkit and I use it on Linux, but I guess it could work on OS X and even Windows. It comes with a configuration file that offers some options, and basic bitcoind and electrum integration (getinfo, launch electrum wallets, etc).

It uses python (py3 might work, but I didn't bother to build wx to test it) and a few existing bitcoin-related modules.

Source code at https://github.com/nkuttler/bittray
Need the hackers in here to confirm this to be 100% secure and safe to run, also would like a windows version if possible lol
Does it update the price all the time or could we set price update time to every 3 minutes or whatever?
If it doesn't use much data and bandwidth I was looking for something like it, nice job.
5383  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You only lose if... on: January 17, 2017, 06:21:23 AM
You only lose if you sell when you don't really need the cash but unfortunately the big and the small miners sell 90% if not all of what they are mining daily, what they don't realize is the fact that by the next halving bitcoin price rises slowly up to $2800, so basically it's more of an investment than a currency.
5384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confirmation Time is now not a problem at local shops. Buy without any wait on: January 17, 2017, 03:43:29 AM
Just pay 30 cents and your transaction will confirm in less than 5 minutes or pay more like $0.5 to get a confirmation under 3 minutes.
With paypal or credit cards you are usually paying more fees than above and even if you'll end up paying the same fees you know that you could always mine altcoins exchange to bitcoin and there you have printed your own money as well there are not stupid limitations on bitcoin.

There is also a way in which the merchants could be linked to nodes directly for transactions to be broadcast in blockchain immediately, though I'm not quite sure how do the nodes receive transactions and in what orders?
5385  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Binary Options The Same as Trade? on: January 17, 2017, 03:19:00 AM
If you consider forex, binary options and trades like that a gamble then all the wall street people are just gamblers with some huge balls Smiley.
Yes they are both the same only with different tactics and methods required to succeed and they are both time sensitive while gambling is not.
In gambling you have all the time in the world and in need of pure luck without any method to study or charts to check for tips, unless using martingale which casinos deploy fail safe against if used.
5386  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we make more money? on: January 17, 2017, 03:05:26 AM
What are the things to do to succeed in trade? What are you doing to make your business bigger?

Study and learn.  <snip>
This right here^^.  I found the best way to make money was to go into a high-paying profession.  I fucked it all up, of course, but I would advise that that's the way to go.  If you listen to people here, they're going to be retards and tell you to gamble or trade, and that's suicide financially.  The best way to make money is in a good job.  A good profession that you like and that pays well.  So good luck to you.
Have you noticed the educated people after years of study when comes to being practical and action you can watch them for few days or even hours to learn what they did in years of studying.

Just a simple example of what I'm talking about would be E=mc2 years of hard work and thinking and many possibilities and you can get them all by just knowing E=mc2.
5387  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does anyone else think it's feeling like 2014 all over again? on: January 17, 2017, 02:51:35 AM
Totally, we are going to go under $200 all over again Cheesy can you guys see that red price? good because it's a thing around here lol, if bitcoin is defined by specific country and market in countries like china or US then better now to quit being a fan, trader, supporter and find some other way, oh wait other ways are under governments asses and boots.

Bitcoin has no borders and knows no authority but protocols and command lines.
5388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: January 17, 2017, 02:28:29 AM
The most absurd thing I've ever heard in crypto that you could end up in prison if using or mining bitcoin? with such rules and rulers people still living their normal daily lives? wonder why "leader of the free world" aka USA can only bully countries instead of trying to help other nations to have democracy.

When someone tells you that you are not allowed to be involved in crypto(bitcoin specially) then you seriously need to considering a revolt.
No matter what their excuses are, they have no rights to take away freedom of choice from their citizens.
5389  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: We've created a new Bitcoin Crowd Funding website - BitGrants.com on: January 16, 2017, 09:17:24 PM
How can someone lends money without collateral? what kind of collateral will you accept in the future? people often want to stay anonymous, so revealing their IP addresses is a privacy issue, though I'm not yet convinced why should I come all the way to your site while I can do it here or in other well established platforms?
5390  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Have you heard? Paxful Have a new Giveaway: Up to 8 BTC for new affiliates! on: January 16, 2017, 07:11:22 PM
I have been selling bitcoin on Paxful for a while now. Its a great service and a way to make good returns on your bitcoins. I will for sure enter this.
I think this Altty account of yours is the definition of classic Smiley you can't give away bitcoins to people if your main income source is the fee you taking from them. I never had any experience with paxful but I heard bad things about their services.
5391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your game and why? on: January 16, 2017, 06:56:10 PM
Dice, because it's easy without any complications and you can see the results after one click Smiley and it's really about luck whether you win or not.
5392  Economy / Economics / Re: Coud lightning network bring more users ? on: January 16, 2017, 06:41:45 PM
Not really, if people wanted only fast transactions paypal is providing that though fees are high, but it will help to sustain a healthy relationship with users and those who come will stay if satisfied by the speed of the network.
5393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The greatest innovation? on: January 15, 2017, 07:45:34 PM
Digital, virtual, blockchain, internet, gaming, all are leafs on the computer innovation tree and that wouldn't be possible if wasn't for TV and no TV without electricity etc, it goes all the way down and comes back up again just like a circle or chain, so actually blockchain represents the whole universe if you think of it that way.
5394  Economy / Services / Re: Pretty Addy Giveaway on: January 15, 2017, 06:44:53 PM
Thanks, at first it said couldn't combine the inputs but after I refreshed the page it all worked out.

5395  Economy / Gambling / Re: want to invest in bitvest on: January 15, 2017, 03:45:20 PM
One thing is for sure, they are not taking your money and say good bye but they need to gain the community trust first by paying on time without lying to investors, that way they can attract as many investors as it gets nowadays, I've had my fair share of experience with them and never encountered difficulties.
5396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin sponsors in the White House?! on: January 15, 2017, 03:29:08 PM
BS, totally, we all are bitcoins sponsors and no one can be the figure head or representative of bitcoin except satoshi, and he already has shown his intentions by developing blockchain so everyone could agree on his instances about bitcoin. every body knows presidents are just poppets and real power of making decisions in major policies come from some where else. bitcoin only has one father and everything else is just people using it.
5397  Economy / Services / Re: Magic Tricks for Bitcoin on: January 15, 2017, 01:05:16 PM
Offering my services. Selling magic tricks or solutions on how they did it. I will try to figure it out.

Do you know how to make love spell?  I want a girl but she does not like me . I want her to be my wife and the mother of my children. Can you do it for me  plsss?
Seriously? Do you think someone will be falling in love with you because of magic trick? Grin
Wow dude, dont force your love to someone who doesnt like you, no matter what methods you are using, even a magic trick. Oh wait, I have a method, and I'm sure it will completely work. Buy a ferrari.
Of course there are magic spells to make someone fall in love with you, and having a super sport car is mostly already achieved by similar things as magic Smiley.
For OP if you could tell me how could someone sends 20 transactions worth 2BTC but in blockchain it only shows 0.01BTC estimated funds transacted?
5398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Exchange without a trusted third party on: January 15, 2017, 12:51:41 PM
There can be an automated triggered escrow which requires some cross blockchain activity and monitoring and some serious coding skills, or just pay at least %0.2 fee to avoid all the hassle and save yourself going through different steps.Smiley.

5400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What exactly can you buy with Bitcoin? on: January 15, 2017, 08:19:50 AM
Where do you think fiat(paper money, governments money) came from? people needed to have something with value which they could carry around easily and every one agrees on their value so they made the money as we know it today, if people aren't carrying gold bars or coins around to trade and buy stuff doesn't mean gold is useless or ask why do we need it and use it? people always want the easy way and they tend to get what they want anyways which would be converting bitcoins to fiat since it's widely available and every single person selling anything accept it without blinking Smiley.
