541  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think Bitcoin can end poverty? In a nation today on: April 16, 2024, 12:00:10 PM
Check out those holders that have been holding Bitcoin since year's ago. You don't know how many of them were minimum wage earners and they're able to surprisingly earn through holding Bitcoin and able to uplift their lives and way of living.

it’s really difficult for a minimum wage earner to invest in bitcoin especially if a) their country is a third world country and their minimum wage is barely enough for daily expenses b) they have previous commitments and responsibilities to pay c) the price of bitcoin is already too high

Yes they can buy through dca but even with that and transaction fees nowadays it’s extremely difficult to do so
542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't Altcoin a distraction to Bitcoin adoption? on: April 16, 2024, 11:42:33 AM
This begs the question, what if we had only Bitcoin?

The attention would definitely be focused primarily towards bitcoin only and we would finally prevent misinformation from spreading.

Although I doubt that there would be totally no misinformation left even without the presence of altcoins. I am sure that many people are still going to make the wrong choice and would lose some money into bitcoin and then complain that bitcoin is a scam.

543  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is the main cause of financial depression on: April 16, 2024, 11:17:29 AM
Bitcoin can never help the inflation in a country as a whole however it can help each citizen to become more wealthier therefore pushing economic growth by increasing purchasing capacity. Bitcoin will be basically the pushing force for an economy to grow and prosper. I do hope too that someday I will benefit much more from bitcoin.
544  Other / Off-topic / Re: Mindset or skill set? on: April 15, 2024, 10:58:56 PM

What's your view about this? Which is better? Mindset or skill set or a combination of both.

A combination of both is definitely top-tier but if I were to choose which one is better to have, I’d say a good mindset is much more essential.

Someone with good mindset can learn a skill set because they are determined, motivated and hard-workers. If they put their mind into something they can definitely do it and if things fail they can bounce back easily and can get back to what they were doing.

As opposed to someone with only a skill set, they would fail with a wrong mindset. They could make the wrong decisions and if you are someone with not of a good mindset then you have low emotional and mental intelligence.
545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's up ? on: April 15, 2024, 06:37:04 PM
From what I know, bitcoin’s transaction fees depend on how much transactions are waiting to be confirmed so if there are many who wants to sell their bitcoin then many are also waiting to get their transactions done.
It's part of the story. Another part is more important, how many people want to pay expensive transaction fee even their transactions are very small. By paying expensive transaction fees, they convert their small bitcoin value to dust. If there are more people like this when mempools are congested, transaction fee will be expensive. If there are less people like this, transaction fee will less likely be very expensive, just higher a little bit.

Mempools are congested because many people still decide to make a transaction with their bitcoin the thing is only most rich people can afford to do this.

This is why the transaction fees are getting higher. The richer people are willing to pay more but another richer person could and would pay with a higher fee so of course now everyone is suited to follow that.

Those with not much funds now have been left behind.
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the XRP expert here ? on: April 15, 2024, 05:50:11 PM
I don't think XRP will ever rise to $5 as we have seen for past 6 years XRP has been nothing but a great disappointed for its believers and investors, I am an early benifitor of XRP and even I thought there are chances of XRP to boom and touch $5 as banks were preferring it but if couldn't make it because of controversies as well as highly centralisation. I think we have better alternatives and we should be bothered to think of XRP.

I do not think XRP is hopeless already.

With the existence of this lawsuit, the odds are out there and the future depends on who will win the lawsuit.

If xrp were to win against sec there would definitely be some uptrend with investors finally regaining their trust and confidence in the project.

Of course the opposite can happen if they were to lose so either way we should have a detailed plan of possible entry and exit points
547  Other / Off-topic / Re: Diving into the future of gaming on: April 14, 2024, 05:27:57 AM

548  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Kahihinatnan ng price pagdating ng bitcoin halving on: April 14, 2024, 05:05:47 AM
Mukhang eto na ang normal na Halving week kasi dahan dahan ng bumabagsak ang price and not like nung nakaraan eh after bumaba sa 62k eh pumalo agad paakyat but this time eh mukhang bababa pa meaning what we are expecting to happen is here , and advantage naman talaga to dahil  makakabili nnman tayo ng malaki laki.
549  Economy / Speculation / Re: Iran strikes Israel. Crypto crashing heavily... on: April 14, 2024, 04:21:14 AM
Israel have been in war for how many years , and this is not a new thing for these 2 countries to have disagreement and have such kind of conflict , but what is new here is that you manage to connect about "The End of Crypto in the Poll, why in the hell this war will end cryptocurrency market?
is there a big reason that this will take place? Russia and Ukraine have been in war for years now but do the end of market happened? sorry but I voted for "I Don't Care" because that is the true thing here, I would rather watch cartoons than listening to Israel and Iran having war because they are one of the countries that don't seems to have peace any time soon.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market seems in correction mood on: April 14, 2024, 03:36:40 AM
Start of this year, makes people happy cause crypto market started non-stop pumping where altcoins also goes expensive and some altcoins were out of range to buy. But from today, it seems market enter into correction mood where altcoins dump 15% to 40% including Bitcoin. This is a heavy dump of market and we don't know where it'll stopped.
Is it natural Or it could be cause of bitcoin having which is going to start a week later. What's your opinion?? Some people mark Iran attack isreal issue as responsible of this current market situation
we have seen this similar situation last Mid of March but I don't seem to understand the main reason why now that the value
stays lowering an no recovery happens,so i believe this is the effect of the coming halving and the situation is almost  the same
season of halving.
but hoping that there is a twist this time as the presence of ETF is here.
551  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1xBet Biggest Scam and Violation of Terms on: April 14, 2024, 02:24:14 AM

552  Other / Off-topic / Re: No interest in gambling if there is no profit or fun to be accountable. on: April 14, 2024, 02:15:28 AM
what would be the gambling area if there are no Fun and no Profit? some gamble to have fun of course, but others or majority wanted to have Profit so if that is the cases then what would be the basis of people to gamble from those ?

No one will be spending their money on something if they don't get away anything and definitely no logic to continue if they don't really like to do unless we are talking about our jobs. Cheesy

Gain or profit should not be used in gambling, the world rewards, prizes are appropriate.

Exactly correct mate ,  if people will get nothing even Fun then why do they need to spend and risk money?
553  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC dip again? on: April 14, 2024, 02:07:35 AM
So this is the fateful dip slightly anticipated not massive but nothing BTC does is that small generally and its arriving in time for the weekly closing bar as well.   However I see the negative price action as remaining contained thus far, the lows breached 62k down to 61.5k but has recovered above that level.  It is the close of the bar on whatever time frame that matters most of all so there is room for optimism at the moment.

We have closed once below 62.8k since March 4th and once again today is not that day hence slight optimism from a less worse scenario then a full sell can easily be.    See how it develops, this is below 50 day average which is not the best but we stay in the box that has contained BTC for some time.  Its still within a game of ping pong perhaps maybe.
but the last fall of 62k did not stay that long , in just a couple of hours the price grows back to track but this time it seems that value stays lowering for how many days now and that alarmed many weak handed human and this is the effect of halving coming .
that is the many weaker investors acting .
554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is gambling to you, a fanfare or potential financial havoc? on: April 13, 2024, 01:19:12 PM

How can one draw a line between having fun and getting addicted since they occurr in the same process?
this comes how we deal with it and this is what the importance of our knowledge before even entering gambling  and yeah this defy if we
are into become addicted or we are to be a good gambler.

Would education on gambling side effect help some people nor to get too engaged in it despite the thrilling experience it can offer?

What is your personal view on this[/b]
It is very important ,  that we must be educated before entering gambling and so you will need to learn and understand the whole
gambling matter.
555  Economy / Gambling / Re: My betting strategies on: April 13, 2024, 12:09:55 PM
I personally think that most of the time is pure luck and a bit of inspiration. Sure you take a lot of information from stats , players , form of players , history of the club , recent games , h2h games and so on but in the end , how many times did stats helped us ? because for me , stats matters and I'm always searching for numerology paths but rarely works so that's why I think it's just pure luck and a tiny bit of inspiration.

Strategies in sportsbetting are mostly related to the patterns that you use for your bets which means that if you have lost the previous bet, you will need to plan your bet accordingly and find odds that will make you recover your previous loss if you win this bet, it would require you to do some research as well to find a suitable bet.

Sportsbetting needs to be knowledgeable about that that said game and also must have deep understanding about the team because if not then you will never take home a penny not unless you are completely lucky that time.
556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Proof of Scam ? on: April 13, 2024, 06:50:57 AM

Why is the halving bad? Are you a miner?

If OP was a miner, he would have understood that halving would cut their block rewards in half which would devastate him but would not make him doubt it.

Quote
Most welcome the halving because it reduces the selling supply because less issuance and less sell pressure.

Exactly. Satoshi made it purposefully and the limited supply causes more demand therefore the price reaches new all time highs in which investors are happy about.
557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is saving screenshots of useful information and BTC transactions? on: April 13, 2024, 04:23:13 AM

I know that a lot of people take a lot of screenshots mostly because they want them as proof if they need it anytime in the future.

let’s be real here lots of people take screenshots because it is easy and convenient and a lot of us are too lazy to actually store them somewhere safe but let me tell you that this laziness will bite you back somewhere in the future and you’d wish you would have stored it safely
558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what currency other than the USD you know the price of Bitcoin by heart? on: April 12, 2024, 09:23:49 PM
1 BTC = 1 Tesla Model X  Grin
Double-checking this only seems to apply for the US market though.

So, USD again, lol!  Grin Cause the price of a Tesla S looked like this:

Does this data show how much is a tesla in each country? I thought it was how many in average have bought tesla. Obviously much richer countries like Monaco have paid a lot.

Using tesla to think of bitcoin’s price is a nice idea and I might use it in the future   Grin
559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When is alt season likely to be? on: April 12, 2024, 08:57:46 PM
I plan to hold all my altcoins till this alt season when alt coins are performing better than Bitcoin and then start putting profits into Bitcoin.

will that ever happen? Bitcoin is the top cryptocurrency even after many years have passed. No coin has ever valued higher than bitcoin and I don’t see it happening especially at this point of time.

Altcoins will surely follow bitcoin’s trend but it won’t surpass bitcoin’s performance
560  Economy / Economics / Re: Will inflation become big challenge for retired people after 10-20 years? on: April 12, 2024, 08:24:35 PM
It is already causing lot of problems for retired people. How much will this problem intensify in future ?

If inflation has become so bad then saving is of no use anymore.

Retirees should instead go look for other assets that would not devalue their money compared to if they just put it in the bank for savings. Unfortunately in time of inflation, everything else goes up which might affect the cost of living of these retirees.
