I voted for the 8000$ - 9000$ option.
i think bitcoin will rise but not as dramatically as before the now postponed 2x fork.
i dont attribute any great event to my speculation, i think it will be its natural growth.

i think you are going to need a find a coin/currency that has huge swings in value and then trade on an exchange to try and double your investment.
with exchange fees and other transfer fees it is going to be a difficult one.
as for us listing the coins for you, well you could potentially get 100 different options from everyone who thinks their coin is the one.

I am looking to install and/or create a wallet on an encrypted USB drive so that I can access that wallet on the go, rather than relying on a 'mobile wallet' on my phone. yes both bitcoins  seem to be settling down and the true king is on the rise again, the bittrex price is 7200$ again and it didnt take long for it to recover. this should give people confidence that bitcoin is hard to topple. |

i would also recommend having a subdomain rather than a seperate domain.
a subdomain also highlights the main site while the ICO is being advertised which i would imagine is always good.

My opinion is that these days feel a bit like losing a battle, but Bitcoin is still winning the war so far.
It's not the best period for Bitcoin, but it always proves to be the best investment year after year, despite its dropping periods.
if we look at the charts from the beginning of the year we can see that bitcoin has grown higher than many people expected. i think (hope) there is a big degree of unnecessary panic at the moment. Cash is being driven high and is gaining momentum but the majority still back bitcoin |

BCH and BTC are getting a little settled now.
Bitcoin seems to have reached a new bottom of around 6400$ and bircoincash seems to have pulled back a bit also,
but there may be another bitcoincash surge to come

I'm curious will BCH stays on the 2nd place after the incoming difficulty increase. My guess is that most of the miners will switch again to BTC, slowing down the BCH and making very hard BCH miners to sell their coins to the market.
I don't like the whole BCH-BTC drama and I'm hoping that BCH will fail. Not because of the project, but because to discourage similar dramas in future. This is not good for any ordinary player on the crypto-market around.
Nothing is harmed, except 'trader morons' losing lots of money, buying BCH at $2500, only for it to fall back to $600 ( most shit-alt coin faux trade at 10% of mother coin ), think zcash/zen, btc/bch, eth/eth-classic, .... The 'drama' has MADE a press news, everybody is talking about crypto's, so that is good I guess, BCH is what it is, just another scam shit-coin clone, but with really good marketing, not unlike the fuck-coin BTG aka bitcoin-gold There is NO way to regulate this shit, thank god, I'm sure satoshi expected this, its open-source, this is the nature of the beast Best thing for smart people is to IGNORE the price, just hold your BTC in cold storage, and NOT play the game, IF U play the game, ALL ORCHESTRATED by scammers, U will lose your BTC. @bitfools, i like your analysis in your posts on this board. i also think that the news that BCH is making is good for crypto. i think it will all come right but there will be a lot of heartache, i am not playing the game |

It's looking like Bitcoin is less of a currency and more of an asset class, but i love that it's still referred to as a cryptocurrency. Governments may be fearful, but as long as Bitcoin continues to trends toward an asset class those governments will have nothing to fear. Their fiat currency will still serve its purpose.
Right now, Bitcoin is more of an asset though it does not mean it is not a currency because certainly there are now many merchants already accepting Bitcoin just like the fiat or paper money. But if we have to compare it to traditional money, we still need more years before we can say that it is already at par as far as adoption is concerned. Now, with that kind of situation, I think it should be stressed that there is actually no deadline as to when Bitcoin can reach the mainstream. Those people who are pressuring Bitcoin are actually people who do not believe in it and are wishing for its failure and complete destruction (though many of them love the blockchain technology). I am seeing a bright future for Bitcoin despite the many challenges and problems it is facing currently. All because I have confidence that the whole Bitcoin community can be able to surmount any humps thrown its way and even governments find it hard to totally stop and control Bitcoin. We just have to let Bitcoin continue evolve with the use of acceptable consensus and not allow myopic self-vested business interests to take the lead. agree, bitcoin is being used more and more as a kind of store of value or a hedge against possible financial crisis, it is getting more and more adoption by many people. there are new people buying bitcoin as well as existing users buying more |

Thanks to all who responded. Just a little background, although thumb drive was standard, I password protected the individual files with Axcrypt. I was using Malwarebytes and Eset full security but I think I found a files that could be the culprit to all this. It was something like service.hostexe* and when I clicked on it, a pop-up appeared asking for a password and username. I did some research on this and it is described as a threat, although there is no way to know if this was responsible for the hack. When I deleted it, it aromatically reinstalled itself upon reboot. It went undedected, but for any one who is curious, it was found in app data...roaming. I have since reformatted my hard drive and it is no longer there. One this I noticed was that when you unplug a thumb drive from a pc, it writes some of the files to your hard drive which seems counterintuitive since one point of using an external drive is for privacy.
I know there is nothing I can do at this point, but I hope this helps someone in the future.
