541  Economy / Speculation / Re: High transaction fees affects buyers and seller in payment in bitcoin on: January 02, 2024, 07:45:14 AM
First, Bitcoin is an alternative payment, in fact there are many other alternative payments, such as using stablecoins or other altcoins. However, this depends on the type of business and the agreement between the owner and worker, user or buyer and seller. If both parties agree to continue using Bitcoin then they certainly don't have any problems regarding the problem of Bitcoin network congestion and Bitcoin transaction fees.

No, other altocoins or stablecoins are not build to be a payment scheme, it was only Bitcoin. However, when Bitcoin become a assets that is traded in an exchange, then I will say that it lost what it was originally design by Satoshi, because it become a store of value and hedge for those wealthy people.

And then there was a boom on other coins knows as alternative or altcoins market, but they have different design though and no one is like a payment system. But they can still function as one today if we look at them and with the high fees right now, we are looking for more alternatives to transact and it includes LTC.
542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather vs Pacquiao II on: January 01, 2024, 11:00:35 AM
I saw it in social media but I haven't look at it, and the subject says that Manny is teasing Floyd for a exhibition matches.

But we have Manny fighting Buakaw first this year and I'm not familiar if Floyd will have another exhibitions match, although it could be a rematch with Gotti this February? So let's see, maybe at the end of the 2024, this two is going to face each other in Japan for the biggest exhibition fights ever.

And obviously, it's a money fight for this two, they can still milk it out even if both of them have retired.
543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 01, 2024, 10:08:19 AM
A gambling expert brought i and some friends a guaranteed predicted game and asked us to stake a a high amount so that we winning could be huge and so we can give him a percentage of the money at winning.

I don't believe there could be a 100% guaranteed game but yet my friends who are eager to make profits in the gambling accepted to play the gamed as instructed and at the end of it, they all loosed the game and at then, the rest of us were happy because we didn't play the game else we would had loosed as others.

I want to ask, do you believe in experts gambling predictions?

Of course, it's not going to be a guaranteed 100% all the time, but there could be some good tipsters you know, just like in sports betting. Or even if you have follow a certain sports for years and you have been a fan, for sure you might have deep knowledge of that sports and you can consider yourself an expert.

But as I have said, we really don't know any outcome of the game, even a 1.01 is not a sure guarantee as I have seen teams losing this kind of odds.

Just based everything on your analysis and you will be good. If you lose, then so be it, just accept it and then move on.
544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Answer this Gambling Question on Duration of Joy after a win or loss on: December 30, 2023, 10:47:42 PM
No one enjoys losing in gambling.Losing brings our hopes down, it ushers in emotional pain and grumpiness whereas, winning elevates our mood, bringing happiness and excitement. There are games where I have won and after withdrawing my winnings, I am so happy that I give gifted some of it to people around me. This doesn't last for long once the it is out of my hand and minds. I am curious, how long does this joy last after a win or a loss—does it linger until your next bet, lasting the whole day, just 20 minutes, or perhaps 2 hours?

Yes definitely no one enjoys losing money in gambling. And it's so frustrated and painful if you have experience one. But if you win, it's a total different mode, you feel generous and give others money from your winnings. And people think that you are a good person because of that.

And this feeling of joy could last for several hours if you still have that money in your hand.

But I do agree that it will depend on the money that you have won. Like for example if you win on lottery, obviously it will last you a long time joy and happiness as it will change your life.
545  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Unless the prime suspect is caught, everyone is a suspect. on: December 29, 2023, 09:55:56 AM
To summarized everything, you don't trust but verify. And with that, as what the OP has pointed out, it's obvious that individuals asking for your personal info shouldn't be trusted simply as that.

So in the world that we move in, we shouldn't trust anyone around us.

Even in public places if you try to open your wallet, so should be aware of your surroundings. Same as when you type your PIN in an ATM machine, you just don't know, maybe there are criminals around you just watching your every move.
546  Economy / Speculation / Re: Something we have to consider before longing in the bullish pattern of Bitcoin on: December 29, 2023, 09:02:05 AM
Yeah they $48K zone won’t be easy to crack. It’s also one of the important fibs which usually causes a retracement and also it’s a pivot area and right below the $50K psychological.

I think if we get the green lite on the etf, it’ll spike there and close as a wick and then we will get some profit taking before revisiting this area again in a few months or a year, maybe after the halving like it was in previous cycles.

And I think we have a thread that $48k will be the selling price, unfortunately, we didn't even reach that price and so those TA have been invalidated. And with that, I will also think that $48k will be hard to crack as obviously, short term speculators are going to sell when we reach this price.

So still a very long game for us, months before the halving and then we still don't know what the state of spot Bitcoin ETF.

Although chances are high for a approval next year, but still everything is out of our control and purely based on what the SEC will do.
547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder Vs Parker & Joshua Vs Wallin Boxing Mega Saudi card 23rd December on: December 29, 2023, 07:54:33 AM
^^ Yes, it could be possible that AJ vs Parker is going to be push through by either side. I mean AJ doesn't have a dance partner, but they have to make a storyline between AJ and Parker so that they can sell that fight.

It used to be AJ vs Wilder, but we all know that Wilder didn't do his part and Wilder derail all the plans.

If Parker wanted to spoil everything they make him fight AJ, it's just the question of whether the Saudi's wanted that fight as obviously they wanted to stage the biggest fight ever in HW division.
548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 29, 2023, 07:14:07 AM
Lakers will host Hornets. That should be an easy game for Lakers. Anthony Davis is having a good season, the last time he dropped 40 but they lost to Celtics. Now they should play easier game and won't have too much trouble. LeBron is making near triple-double stats as well.
Nuggets will host Grizzlies. They are tired, coming from Pelicans away game which finished in overtime. I believe Nuggets will win this one if they can lock Morant.

The Hornets have eight straight losses at the moment. So, this should be an easy win for the Lakers.
As for the Grizzlies, I didn't expect their performance to change so much after Morant's return. However, they are still at the bottom of the standings, and it's unlikely to get any better after today's match because the Nuggets are a strong opponent. I would even say insurmountable opponent for the Grizzlies at the moment.

Yes, the Lakers also won the game.

I think the story is about the game between Pistons and the Celtics. Detroit has a big chance to win that game and even forces an OT. But the Celtics doesn't want to be the team that the Pistons will beat to end their losing streak.

Also the Warriors losing 2 games again and they look shit. Curry take sometime to digest it after the game, maybe he is really frustrated in today's result.
549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 29, 2023, 02:26:16 AM
What are the odds of Detroit winning their game against the number 1 team in the East in Celtics?

So far they are leading them by 1 point with 6 minutes left. It's going to be ironic if Detroit win and snap their losing streak against the best team in the NBA.

Let's see how it goes, line is Detroit to win 2.95.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a new trend of Altcoin Bull run? on: December 28, 2023, 10:49:27 AM
We have often witnessed in the bull run that Bitcoin's value increases and once it becomes stable at a certain limit that's when bull run officially starts for Altcoins and we have seen same cycle in previous two bull runs. But, this time we are witnessing a different scenario as we have seen increase in the price of Bitcin but it's yet to reach ATH and it's still continuing to increase but Altcoin's are going bonkers and having more than 100% increase and it's not limited to few but most of the Altcoin is following similar trend.

Should be consider this as new trend wherein Altcoins will have bullrun before Bitcoin? Or this is once in a blue moon thing? It cannot be a bull trap since it's happening for multiple Altcoins.

Nah, going to happen if we talk about a full bull run in altcoin market, it is going to still be dependent on bitcoin. We all know that trade pair is bitcoin/altcoin and so with that, they will have to wait what bitcoin will do first.

On the other hand, if we see a altcoin that is running way ahead of bitcoin, it could be just a normal pump and dump in the altcoin market as we have seen a lot of that kind of movement before. So before the altcoin market have it's bull run, it will have to wait for bitcoin first to move.
551  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will it give fuel to skyroket for btc ? on: December 28, 2023, 10:11:26 AM
Tbh, this news looks rather positive but unfortunately Chinese keywords in the crypto category are no longer the most highlighted news in the main media as they used to be. I think the correlation between crypto and the Chinese government is over, since the latest ban policy is their ultimate rejection of the industry.

The only correlation is that the Chinese government wanted to keep the price of Bitcoin down, with news of like regulating their mining, but that is over for now. The market remains very bullish as this point and I don't think that there will be negative news that will dampen the market again.

I guess we all know what will fuel the price,

- block halving next year
- potential approval of Bitcoin spot ETF

And with the response of others, it seems that the article is just generic.

552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 28, 2023, 09:25:23 AM
Yes, it was survival mode for Tapales, but it's more of the body shot that maybe hurt him more than the shot in the head or face as he has a high block defense everytime Inoue will go and try to bust him.

He did shows that he has the uppercut, but it doesn't have the power to stop Inoue. I see him with his good lead right jab, but Inoue eat those at if nothing to him.

Murodjon Akhmadaliev is the mandatory for the IBF if I'm not mistaken, and it was him who own the belt before Tapales took it from him. So they can make that storyline of Naoya Inoue vs Murodjon Akhmadaliev next.
That's right. Marlon Tapales lacks the firepower which is the truth even when he is up against Murodjon Akhmadaliev. He ain't the type to knockdown a boxer which is why he is trying to end it in technical style. Well, he ain't Manny Pacquiao or The Flash Nonito Donaire who have that punching power to knock their opponents out but I believe he will come back stronger.

Yeah, he is known for putting up hard and grind fights like the one he did against Akhmadaliev, if only Tapales has the power in this fight, he could have hurt Inoue with those upper cut of his.

Regarding Akhmadaliev, I am sure he will face Inoue at some point because Inoue told that he will stay in the super bantamweight for a while.
Why do you guys think he made that decision? I think his camp knows that climbing one more weight class will mean stronger boxers who are a good match for him. He needs to first increase his weight and see to it that his speed won't be affected. I have no doubts about his punching strength but when you climb, it means heavier fists too. I think they want to dominate this weight class first before they move on to another. A part of their preparation before deciding to go up the ladder.

I can speculate that maybe his team wanted him to become comfortable at super bantam. It's not like he has problems making the weight here, on the contrary, both Tapales and Inoue weigh less than the required 122 lbs. So he might stay here for a while, defend some of the belts, clean up the division by facing the likes of Akhmadaliev, Neri and then John Riel Casimero.
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 28, 2023, 08:48:13 AM
Great win as well by the Sixers, even without Joel Embiid, they travel at Amway and beat a good solid team in Orlando Magic. And as far as betting goes, they are the underdog, so no one expect that they can pull this win on the road.

Melton is back and so he had a good game together with Maxey and Tobias Harris. Morris in the first quarter was cooking as well as he take advantage of Cole Anthony guarding him. I think this is a good year for Sixers, but it's a tough Eastern conference with the Boston Celtics and Giannis lead Bucks.
554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Was You Biggest Win in 2023? on: December 28, 2023, 08:26:31 AM
So, the question is simple, in your gambling activities all through 2023, how much your biggest win?

And in loses as well, how much was your biggest loss?

Is it possible for you to calculate your cumulative wins and losses, and tell if 2023 was profitable or not; to you in terms of gambling?

Lets discuss..

It's on a NBA parlay that I hit x20 just recently. It was a 6 game parlay, I was just lucky though to hit that one as the games right now is very unpredictable.

I think we have a thread before that says if gamblers write down their wins or losses, and I'm one of them that don't do it at all. I mean why you need to see those numbers though? So no, I don't calculate my cumulate wins and losses. But if I have to make a guess, I would that that maybe I'm still in the negative.
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google and X ads are the new weapon for crypto scammers on: December 27, 2023, 09:43:32 AM
This is problem with these platform that anyone can place any ads if they spend some money. If a project needs to be verified by the team or any 3rd party to run ads in google or twitter then we would have seen a quite improvement in the ad industry as well. Though it is practically expensive to do, this is just an idea. Every time I go into twitter some ICO sale pops up or some dude asks about minting NFTs. By seeing all these, I do realize that we should cross check a project to other legit platforms if we get to know about it on social media and interested in it.

It's a problem almost everywhere, lol. People should learn how to be safe on the internet and how not to click on every link and perhaps these scams would become less big and common.

Right, not the first time that we have seen this kind of attacks, and even before crypto though, Google has been used by scammers and criminals. Now it's just magnified as crypto is now becoming the buzz word and everyone jump on the bandwagon.

And as others have said, don't used Google to search for crypto projects as you might fall for that trap. Or just save and bookmark the legit links if you have it already.

As the attacks is prevalent, we should be very careful and do due diligence.
556  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will SEC delay on Spot ETF approval do to Bitcoin's price? on: December 27, 2023, 09:09:09 AM
@Smack That Ace. Agreed that there was a decline, however, how much was this decline? It was not enough to bring back the cryptospace to another bear market. The pump the next day on bitcoin made i appears that there was no decline heeheheh.

However, what might be concerning is if the American government can force CZ to step down and face criminal charges, it can also do it against many more exchanges. Kraken is presently being targeted be the SEC.

And we can say by now that there is no effect on CZ related news? On the contrary we almost hit $45k if I'm not mistaken in the last leg up that we had this year. Prices though decline and we are now at the $42k'ish.

But we can say that investors are now intelligent to not get affected by this kind of news.

On the contrary, we could think ahead that a approval might be imminent at the start of the year?
557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 27, 2023, 01:57:39 AM
Lakers really looked weak, I mean at times they got close enough and all, but from the start they were weak, it started out like 20-3 or something, and then there was a moment in 40's where it was like 46-45 or something which means it got closer but then once again it got further away with time.

I have to say it is not really all that confusing because Lakers did not build a good team at all. Just because you have Lebron and AD doesn't mean that you can get any random 10 more people and hope for a title, you need to build a decent team. They won the title a few years ago, and look how many players are left from that team, aside from the big two, not that many players are left from that team which shows the main problem for them. They really needed to build a team that would help their good players but they decided not to go with that. I still think that they could go to playoffs, I mean it is not that far away from them, but it is not going to be easy at all.

The Lakers' results have actually gotten worse lately, but I wouldn't call them a weak team. I think they are still competitive, and let me remind you that they reached the Western Conference Finals last season. I wouldn't rule out the possibility that the Lakers can repeat this deep run in the next playoffs, although it will definitely be a tough task for them.

I think it’s a motivation issue for the Lakers. You don’t just go undefeated in the in-season tournament and then forget how to win a game. They’ve got some other things going on.

Luka proved again he’s Devon Booker’s nightmare. Dropping 50 on Christmas in a win over the Suns is embarrassing. Booker better get this rivalry figured out or it’s going to start eating away at his legacy.

Or maybe there's no rivalry at all as Luka is just eating the Suns even with KD around, drops another bomber on Booker's face. The thing though is that Booker is no longer guarding Luka unlike before and that task belongs now to Grayson Allen.

But still though, every time Luka faces the Suns, he bring his A-game to just rub it in on Booker. For the Lakers, it might be a curse to win the inaugural IST tournament, because after that, they have difficulty winning games. Smiley
558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 27, 2023, 01:34:06 AM
But you have to give respect to Tapales that even if he goes down in round 4, he manage to stay in the pocket and take the best shot of Inoue.
Yes, that's given, that's for all boxers of my fellow countrymen who risk their lives on the ring.

So who's next for Inoue now? is he going up to another division and make himself a 3 weight class unified champion and separate his name from Crawford?
At least i expect him to go up til lightweight in 5-6 years with his age, height and body type. Of course it won't be easy, it takes lots of training and conditioning.

He is still at his prime years, so he can stay at super bantam and best everyone, or go to Featherweight with the likes of Vargas, a tall lanky 126 lbs champion. So that will a big test for him and let's see if he can also be as dominant as the 2 other weight class that he reign.

It's not that it will take training and conditioning, he has that already, it's more of him facing a natural bigger fighter as he moves up in division. But if he has that kind of DNA like Manny Pacquiao maybe he can continue his run at Featherweight.

I think Murodjon Akhmadaliev is his mandatory on one of those belts, so most likely he will fight Murodjon next.
559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 27, 2023, 12:45:49 AM
I think the way to play today might be a parlay against all the horrible teams in the league.
I like that idea. You get around 3.55 for parlaying the match winner of five teams, though i'm not sure if it's worth including the Clippers for the odds boost.

Even though the Rockets had a rare home loss against the Hawks, i'll always take them at odds since they're still solid at home while the Pacers continue to pile up losses on the road (going 1-4) after the in-season tournament.

I'm taking a two legged parlay,

Sacramento -6.5 against Portland + Memphis +5.5 against the Pelicans = 3.17.

Not sure though why Memphis is again the underdog in this game, or Ja Morant not playing here? He singlehandedly beat Pels with that buzzer before and they have been covering the underdog spread since Ja come back
560  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advice for crypto bigginers who like chasing the next big thing in crypto. on: December 26, 2023, 01:22:42 PM
We can see how the existence of Ordinals on Bitcoin network is turning out, pretty successful and profitable, bitcoin miners are making more money mining Bitcoin and that's a big thank to BRC20 but scammers are excessively bringing out new BRC20 projects and because ORDI is a big success, souring from $3 to $70 right now they are looking for the next one.

Yes, but I don't think that miners should be consider as scammers though? they are just making money from the ordinals and everything. And for them it's business as usual, with or without ordinals they will continue to do, that is to mine bitcoin to us with payments.

Hundred of BRC20 are now been printed everyday now, be careful fellas, as it's now a target for scammers, they have abandoned other hypes for Bitcoin BRC20, don't go and start buying any BRC20 that haven't pump yet with the hope that it will.

Scammers will go any lent to get your money from you, and as good as hype is for crypto, it's also the biggest weapon that scammers use against investors.

In any shape or form, this scammers are going to take advantage of our situations, create fake or jump on the latest bandwagon and they going after those who think that crypto is a get rich quick scheme.
