541  Economy / Economics / Re: #panicselling is so 1995 on: January 02, 2016, 03:55:49 AM
I think most people are sensitive for turbulent changes.
When the price goes down like 20% in 1 day they think they have to cover their loss.
Which sometimes is a good decision. Don't forget that.

Those that dont sell when prices moves down 20 % in a day is absolutely a fool because there is no way to recoup your losses back if you dont sell. If you cant do the math, 20 % of current $400 is $80, why would you keep holding if the price goes down suddenly by $80 in one day?
if the prices went up $80 id be iffy on selling 50% chance i would sell, but if the prices went down $80 i wouldnt sell for sure. because if i sold now then i lost money overall.
542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happens to Bitcoin if internet goes down? on: January 02, 2016, 03:54:03 AM
if the internet goes down, bitcoin would be the last thing people would be worrying about lol.

but if that did happen bitcoin wudnt exist anymore because the blockchain only works on the internet.
543  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best bitcoin wallet? on: January 01, 2016, 01:33:36 AM
What is the best bitcoin wallet?
It really depends on the type of user.
If you are new to bitcoin: use coinbase/copay
If you have a bit of information already use mycelium
If you want an ios wallet use bither
544  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will this bitcoin will go down? on: January 01, 2016, 01:31:10 AM
I mean , i really want to invest in this , but the price is too much high, do they go down? In what month?
i dont think its going to go down anytime soon. the halfing is also gonna happen next year and thats just gonna drive the price up even more. id say look at the price price as the lowest and invest in now.
545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are all Satoshi. on: January 01, 2016, 01:29:14 AM
Satoshi probably was a small group, which become a bigger group, which then exploded into a huge group of poeple.

who came up with the original idea? the guy that invented money. who cares.

this is bitcoin, these are yours these are mine, they are all ours, we are all Satoshi.
ya we are a part of bitcoin but i wouldn't go as far as saying we are satoshi. satoshi invented and created bitcoin, all we are doing is enjoying and using his invention
546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's use mBTC instead of BTC on: January 01, 2016, 01:27:20 AM
i like how some wallets actually let you change your main unit of currency from btc to mbtc like copay. i really enjoy using those kinds of wallets because they make me feel like i own more btc and i actually own.
547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe that Satoshi is still active on Bitcointalk.org? on: December 30, 2015, 04:33:20 AM
Just wondering, if you believe that Satoshi is still participating on Bitcointalk.org actively using a different pseudonym?
i dont think so, i say that because i see no point in trying to use a different account to use the forum he would remain anonymous even when using his original account and that hasnt been logged in for years.
548  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin worth to you or not... on: December 30, 2015, 04:31:46 AM
We all have some amount of bitcoins in our wallets..
Do you really think bitcoin is a currency Worthing you more than a real currency...
I do because real currency price won't grow up or down as bitcoin...
So do you or not ??
And also have a discussion about its prices in future..!!
its not technically worth more than a real currency its just valued differently 420 usd is about 1bitcoin but tht doesnt mean 1 bitcoin is worth more than 420 bitcoin.
549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A security threat ? on: December 29, 2015, 01:04:29 AM
I stumbled across this website earlier today .... http://directory.io/9

Is this a possible security threat. I understand there is a HUGE amount of pages, but this site has every private key on record, couldn't they make a program to filter out the keys which have available balance ??

since it lists all of the addresses available it cant really do anything, if you were to pick an address thers almost a 0 chance theres gonna be money in that exact address.
550  Economy / Speculation / Re: Oops Price is 425$ Now... on: December 28, 2015, 10:05:37 PM
Well I believe we are going to see around $800 mid 2016 its very possible.
hmm idk about that price, even though the halfing is gonna happen next year no one can really predict an estimate of the new new stable price is going to be, i agree its going to go up but i dont think as much as 800.
551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Double My BTC??? on: December 28, 2015, 09:59:37 PM
you spreading and advertising the links doesnt help, the only reason these guys are still running is cuz people continue to fall for it. you can act like its a joke and they dont make money but in reality they do.
552  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen if there's no price rise for the halfing? on: December 28, 2015, 08:54:31 PM
If the price doesnt rise then the miners stop mining because of  lack of profit, Once this happens the network becomes less secure and bitcoin starts dying off. Whats to stop this from happening?  Maybe we are getting to prices that cant be maintained with the current user base. I wasnt here at the last halfing and the price will need to be much higher so im not too sure what will happen.
firstly, the prices will rise it woudnlt make sense if they didnt. but in any case lets assume they stay the same. the fees would increase meaning the miners income wouldnt change that much. also if the value of bitcoin and the fee both increase, who knows maybe mining will be more profitable than what it is right now.
553  Economy / Speculation / Re: $2k in january on: December 28, 2015, 08:52:06 PM
bitcoin is going to $2k in january and $4k 1 minute after block halving.  be prepared... be very prepared
the halfing isnt going to change the prices by a factor of 2 in a couple of minutes. i agree itll have an effect on the prices it just wont be that instantaneous, people will notice the decreased supply and gradually the prices will go up.
554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some one paid 1.0394BTC as fee for 2 transactions. on: December 28, 2015, 08:50:26 PM
As the title states. Why on earth would some one do this? Is it a mistake, or done on purpose?

This tx includes 0.2493BTC as fee; http://blockr.io/tx/info/621cd73e184ef9180f2b3451a1b5b244de48e07effc9be6b731f7466358a924f

This tx includes 0.7901BTC as fee; http://blockr.io/tx/info/07f11415bc6b6a4611c96812e2d40b8a53554e64c7f0bdf9a2bb7c6eeb2b43e7
I've seen alot of people do stuff like that just to donate and help support the miners, im guessing this person had the same intentions, its not that uncommon as you might think.
555  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to spend Bitcoin? Newbie's opinion. on: December 25, 2015, 02:48:49 AM
Hi guys, I'm new here and I just started reading the forum. I see a lot of advise like "invest Bitcoin", buy mining equipment etc. But I don't see anyone talk about daily life products. Food, computers, bills, Christmas shopping. The other day I was paid 4000 usd in btc and now don't know how to spend it wisely. But I ordered a pizza today and it tasted good.
try the gyft app on your phone, you can pretty much buy any gift card on the app with btc and then youll be able to spend your btc at any of the stores using the gift cards. they also have a $5 initial bonus aswell if i remember correctly.
556  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Christmas 2015 Bubble on: December 25, 2015, 02:47:13 AM
This year, Santa decided it would be easier to make bitcoin go higher rather than deliver individual gifts.
i woudnlt really call this a bubble though, its been hovering around 450 for the past month and dont think its popping anytime soon.

I wonder whether it was the christmas season shopping that caused this prise rise.
557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much had you lost with bitcoin and before it?Did you won? on: December 24, 2015, 05:10:50 PM
ive lost about $15 worth of bitcoins at this hyip couple years ago. i was new to bitcoin, didnt know about the scams at that time lol. and ive profitted about 80 bucks by buying low and selling high couple months ago. but ive stopped doing that now.
trading with bitcoin requires too much attention to the prices and it just wasnt worth it.
558  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to get BTC easily on: December 24, 2015, 05:08:39 PM
What are the methods of collection of BTC easily
well since you havent specified whether your looking to get free coins or just coins. the answer would have to be buying the coins staright up from an exchange. if you're looking for free coins then start selling goods/services and expect to get paid in btc.
559  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which is the best Bitcoin wallet to hold my Bitcoins for long term on: December 24, 2015, 05:05:20 PM
I am trying to use the flexibility of Bitcoin rate because I can see everyday it changes so can anyone please suggest me the best wallet that can be used to hold my Bitcoins for long term such as for 1 year
if you're planning on keeping bitcoins safe for 1 year, i definitely suggest a paper wallet, because you would never have to stress about getting hacked and losing your money, just keep sure to keep that piece of paper safe.
560  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are paper wallets really secure? on: December 24, 2015, 05:01:14 PM
I want to create a few paper wallets to give small amounts of Bitcoin away for Christmas.
I am wondering whether those paper wallet generators are really secure. The site owner could store the generated keys, couldn't it?
Consider to create the wallets on bitaddress.org
yep they are definitely secure. i actually prefer them over web wallets, because thers no way someone can hack your private keys if its printed on a piece of paper. also when you create the wallets i recommend that you download the html and turn off your internet connection before creating wallets just to be extra safe.
