You are hardly going to earn anything with mining with that gear. I have a GTX 660Ti and I'm pretty sure it costs more for me to mine than I gain (electricity costs).
542  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: biggest threat to bitcoin? on: December 04, 2013, 09:32:50 PM
I don't think other coins are threats, more like backups in case Bitcoin would fail of other reasons.

Hi to all,

Those free sites are a good way to start, who know how they work ? do they get money from the ads to be able to give BTC coins away.

Good luck to all

Yes, that's why most faucets won't allow you to use AdBlocker when browsing them. There are also PTC sites, that pay you for visiting other sites. You can find many faucets/other sites providing free BTC at http://free-btc.net.tf and http://www.landofbitcoin.com

Welcome Hazzim,

A site where you get free BTC.
545  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Donation on: December 04, 2013, 04:01:04 PM
Not that I don't support you or anything, but I don't think you'll get any donations. I'm sorry.

547  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What sites do you use to track the current price of bitcoin? on: December 03, 2013, 11:23:56 PM
http://coinmill.com/
Very simple to use and you can also view the price in SEK which is nice for me as a swede.

Is mining profitable still?

I'd say no.

Given your signature, your probably Nxt creator. Cheap way to advertise. Use altcoin section next time

Haha, I'm definitely not the creator, just installed the client.
There are so many alt currencies I just wanted to get some dialog on the other options and get some perspective on whether I'm investing my time the right place...

Ok, altcoin section is used for discussion about all alternative coins

Newbies don't have access to that forum, so this section serves as a general section for them.

What does your site have that's new to offer? Why should I use it over landofbitcoin?

Does landofbitcoin keep track of when you last visited the faucets? Because my site does, so that you can save your time checking manually when it's time to collect new bitcoins.

Yes, yes it does. You should really see what the competition offers.

Then I'd say you could use my site as complement since there are some sites I'm linking to that I can't find at landofbitcoin.
551  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Altcoin mining profitability in the future? on: December 03, 2013, 10:26:32 PM
Altcoins are very unstable. I'd say you won't earn a lot unless you mine coins while it's easy and then they increase in price. But as I said, the reward is very insecure.
552  Economy / Service Discussion / Bitcoin advertisement provider? on: December 03, 2013, 10:25:03 PM
First of all, I'm not sure this is the right place to post it. But anyway, I'm a publisher and I'm wondering if there is any sites other than CoinUrl, BitAds and A-Ads providing ads that pay in BTC?
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nxt on: December 03, 2013, 10:24:09 PM
There are so many new crypto currencies emerging, which are the ones you find interesting?
I've looked at Nxt and think that looks very interesting.
The thought about not wasting loads of computing power on mining makes great sense to me.

NXT has 92 pages of posts in their thread so it isn't that weird if there are actually people supporting it. :S

Could you please add also http://doublebitcoins.com/ ?

Yes, I'll do that tomorrow if you can provide proof of payment. If you have any other tips, you can say them.

555  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is coin-daddy.com a safe way to buy coin? on: December 03, 2013, 10:10:04 PM
Checking its forum some people claim it's scamming, but nothing that can be confirmed. I don't think you are able to know for sure, so don't buy any big amounts from there at least.
556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nxt on: December 03, 2013, 10:06:03 PM
Personally, I think BTC, LTC and PPC sounds interesting.
557  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin-qt stuck syncing on: December 03, 2013, 10:04:53 PM
Removing the blockchain and then downloading it again might work. It takes lots of time though, and I cannot guarantee success.
558  Other / Beginners & Help / Free bitcoins - Several faucets gathered at one place on: December 03, 2013, 10:03:40 PM
Hello!

I've created the site http://free-btc.net.tf, where I list many of the free faucets and other sites giving out free bitcoins in return of doing various stuff.
I gathered the most famous sites at the page "Sites", where I also put a timer so that you can see how long it takes before you can visit the sites again.

I also gathered some of the many but lower paying Coinbox sites if you have lots of spare time and you have to wait for the other sites.

The website is funded my advertisements, but if you don't want to see any advertisements you can turn them off.

Own faucet
This site does not only show other faucets, it also has it's own faucet! At http://free-btc.net.tf/#!/faucet you can collect your free Bitcoins once every hour. The site pays up to 100 µBTC every hour and uses https://www.microwallet.org/ for safe transactions. The faucet is only in beta, though, and will get more features later on.
