542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the Free market has failed Bitcoin needs a Central authority and Global ID. on: August 26, 2014, 04:57:15 AM
hey OP, this is the exact OPPOSITE of why Satoshi created Bitcoin!
543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is an Altcoin on: August 23, 2014, 03:14:17 AM
there's no room in the cryptocurrency markets for coins other than Bitcoin ...

All the speculation/hype is fueled by speculation/hype.  Nobody is actually USING the altcoins, other than hoarding them in the hopes they go up. Hell, people are just barely using Bitcoin itself.

544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Opinions] IF you could improve/add/remove 1 thing to bitcoin what would it be? on: August 23, 2014, 03:12:38 AM
improve the security of bitcoind itself obviously

547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and its "shareholders" should decide its status: Currency or Security? on: August 22, 2014, 04:45:08 PM
Bitcoin will always be both a currency AND an asset.

Even USD is an asset.  You can hold it in the bank (or under your mattress) hoping it doesn't go down more than a couple % per year due to inflation, if you think your OTHER assets (gold, bitcoin, etc) might down even more.

People will ALWAYS hoard Bitcoin hoping it will go up ...
548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: August 22, 2014, 04:29:28 AM
I currently store 1000+ Bitcoins in 10+ different wallets. All OFFLINE with multiple flash drive backups.
549  Other / Archival / Re: a-ads.com SCAM on: August 22, 2014, 04:27:12 AM
If they don't want me advertising my sites on their network they should refund my money. Otherwise, they are thieves.

Unless it is explicitly stated in their terms of service linked from every page of the site. That's our current policy to prevent scammers from advertising.

Yesterday we received an email from moriartybitcoin, we replied in ~3 hours in order to resolve the issue, but he started a smear campaign even before that:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=748902.msg8457699#msg8457699

Here is our reply:

And after that he started to threaten us and doing this:

http://bitcoinscammer.com/ (wow, he registered a domain for us yesterday!)

http://bitscams.org/bitcoin-scams/bitcoin-web-scam/a-ads-com-scam

This is the link to his campaign: https://a-ads.com/campaigns/3292

You can see that he deposited 0.1 btc, not 1 btc as he claims in http://bitscams.org/bitcoin-scams/bitcoin-web-scam/a-ads-com-scam

Unfortunately all his further emails and actions confirm our initial suspicions.

PS: Here is our official thread at bitcointalk.org: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=140822.0

That's absolutely right, and I will NOT stop until you refund my 0.10 btc which you simply STOLE from me.  Outright theft.

I'm preparing to make an announcement about your scam service to all users of my websites, email lists, etc.  Also, I'm going to invest some time and energy to ensure that you are exposed as a fraud and ripoff.

You cannot simply play judge jury and executioner because you own a site.

Funny thing is, it's probably JCampy.  Obviously he has nothing better to do than dog me.

Hasn't hurt my business though, nor am I paying him a penny of his blackmail money.  So Campy, you're really just wasting your time.

553  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal gave me an audit for buying a domain with the name bitcoin in it on: August 22, 2014, 04:19:42 AM
lol that doesn't surprise me at all. Paypal will suspend your account for no reason at all, Bitcoin-related or otherwise.  Total absolute scam.

According to a recent news release they have blocked people from class-action suing them too!
554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Wallet Security Best Practices on: August 22, 2014, 04:18:00 AM
Do NOT download files, for one.  Keep your Bitcoin OFFLINE, for another.

I actually have a separate computer that I use just for my Bitcoin and altcoin wallets.  It is NEVER exposed to the internet, period.
555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin changing my ideology from socialism to libertarianism! What about you? on: August 22, 2014, 04:16:35 AM
well I've always been libertarian, why the heck were you a socialist?!
556  Economy / Scam Accusations / Bitcoin Scam Reporting Site on: August 21, 2014, 02:54:23 AM

DOX them, report them, expose them ...
557  Other / Archival / a-ads.com SCAM on: August 21, 2014, 02:14:06 AM
A-Ads.com is a SCAM which ripped me off and stole my money.

When I contacted them, they said:

'you got suspected and we need to receive some evidence regarding your integrity in order to release your funds.'

Bullshit.  If they don't want me advertising my sites on their network they should refund my money. Otherwise, they are thieves.
558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wells Fargo closed all my accounts simply for having a Bitcoin business on: August 21, 2014, 02:10:07 AM
This happens all the time unfortunately. Banks are scared silly of Bitcoin.  Cryptocurrency is a direct and tangible threat to the fractional reserve banking ponzi scheme...
