Karma is karma, it doesn't even need to be explained. Try asking anyone other than someone on reddit what Doge even is? Is it the dog? Is the comic sans colorful fonts and choppy Japanese anime style something lost in translation blurbs? seriously I am all about being prepared, so if there is anyway I can help let me know. I have a full time job though so the fact that I am an investor and not actually a hired rep of Karma mine or anyone else's comments will be somewhat, actually, really biased. If it were to go big time we will have to hire a PR company to handle some of this workload. Kos has it right with this list 1) Put together a press release (with media contact at bottom). 2) Polish the website and make it clear and easy to understand for new visitors who know nothing about Karmacoin 3) Choose a logo with wide appeal (even if not final) 4) Decide on a mission statement (I've made a post to the karmacoin project subreddit. If you've access please read the stickied document) Also I would add a tip bot. Can someone here tackle or at least find out how to set one up? bitcoin dogecoin nxt and many others all have tip bots. everyone likes free coins, and nothing better than sprinkling 500 to 1000 Karms a pop all over reddit and /r/bitcoin. Will go a long way IMO. |

Anyone else having issues with the eKrona wallet not downloading the blockchain? Says (Out of sync) and has never tried to download it. Haven't had that problem with AUR and installed at the same time.
I downloaded the one from page 1, Mac client. It doesn't want to connect to any of the nodes and so never begins downloading the blockchain. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does anyone else notice that someone has bid orders at 1 satoshi waiting for miners to dump to him...and as soon as they do he turns around and adds it to the ask wall at 2 satoshis? He's making a quick profit there...but at the same time it's making it very difficult for KARM to move. I noticed yesterday all the 2 satoshi asks were eaten up and then instantly he or someone else threw another 10 BTC worth of asks to replace it. We need some real volume to get this thing moving....
We need to change our mindsets and look at the opportunity afforded to us by Karmacoin. There are going to be 92,000,000,000 coins. We are almost a 1\3 of the way through the mining in the first month. This is the opportunity, in a public market, to get in on the ground floor. What other coin has been distributed like this. Fairly. These private IPO, or manipulated by miners pumping the price up and locking out the little guys. Karma is being manipulated DOWN in the early phase to allow everyone a chance to get in. This is by design. To me, this is the fairest way to bring a coin to the masses. In the public eye, full transparency and what the market will bare. No premined scam or initial investors that get to keep blah blah blah for whatever, bullshit. Everyone who buys a coin at 1 Satoshi is instantly set for a 100% gain from the start (and hopefully more.) It's the closest thing to being tipped and given the coins for free. No one is more fully invested than someone who becomes a believer at the bottom and helps this movement grow. I am committed to giving away 25% of all of my gains from this coin to help others. If someone buys at 1 Satoshi and sells at 2, good for them, but they better not forget to give back and further this cause that benefited them. Karmacoin is not a rich quick scheme, it's way more than that, it's a movement that cannot be stopped and cannot be denied. We don't want the pump and dump here. You are not welcome. You don't like Bitcoin, I say switch to Nxt, after all it's 800 times more cost efficient and 3000 more energy efficient due to proof of stake, not to mention having many other services built on top of it, which will allow the coin to basically be sent around with practically zero transaction fees, and the forgers will be paid via people using the Nxt messaging service, decentralized computing, and other services. Not to mention anyone can forge, there is no incentive to buy heavy duty equipment that can be used to mine Bitcoin and is good for absolutely nothing other than mining Bitcoin. http://www.nxtcrypto.org/+1. I read the prospectus. I have read hundreds of prospectus for all sort of companies big and small. It was written with some intelligence however sophomoric at times. Graviton never states total revenues. He affords us a sample day of revenue stream and calls it a typical day. Why not release all of the first two months? Total revenues and totL profits for the first two months may or may not be misleading. He does state profits after heavy startup deductions, but why not release that as well?
He does put forth a valid argument for the investment. The reason any company has an IPO is to raise capital for projects they cannot currently afford on their own. Their goal of an integrated exchange in Offspring is a big undertaking creating a "decentralized asset exchange" where they control the software.
I am bullish on NXT and it is my largest investment along with BitCoin and Karmacoin. Not sure I am convinced based on the prospectus that my gains would be that much more than just holding NXT. How liquid will the company tokens be? I am definitely interested and will continue to watch it unfold, maybe even get in on the 6% second round if I miss the first round.

Cryptsy is the best alt coin exchange out there IMO. They actually have an address and a real picture of their office. Along with them, MintPal, Vault of Satoshi, and Coinbase are the only ones that I trust.

Just buy coins that are at 1 Satoshi and hold. Less work and eventually one will hit. I like Karmacoin now on mintpal, 1 sat is a steal IMO. Good mission.

It's time to buy, looks how many bitcoins are waiting to buy at 1 Satoshi. Look at coins like mint for comparison! add up all the buy orders and they don't match karma's. Karma will rise like the Phoenix soon, many will dump but the smart money will hold. Also volume on CoinWarz.com is still stuck at 0 since they only point at coinmarket.io which has been paused for sometime. The leadership team is working hard to get the karma train back! keep the faith. |

Simple fact is do not trust any exchanges.
If i had lost any money with them I would certainly be reporting it. No update from them in days, they have basically stolen the money, why don't you all get together and report it.
Cryptsy seems legit, located in Delray Beach, FL. At least they have a picture of their office building and an actual address, unlike BTC-e. |

@karmacoingood I know the natural inclination for this sort of organic development goes against the following, but it would really help us to get organized and work efficiently. Let me know your thoughts: 1) Decide on the mission statement and make everyone clear about the direction of Karmacoin. 2) Brainstorm to put together a short list of all the things that we need to do in the next 3-6 months. Take a look at other successful and up-and-coming coins (Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Reddcoin, etc) and see what can be borrowed. 3) Get volunteers to take ownership of a part of the task list and have them set their own deadlines and sub-tasks. Even if they can't do it themselves, they can make it their job to find someone to do it. 4) Centralize the task list (I recommend Zoho Projects or some other efficient system) 5) Nominate one person to manage the task list and make sure things get done, and the list is thorough and organized. 6) Regularly communicate on every Karmacoin channel about what we're up to I know it sounds a bit bureaucratic, but getting organized I think is our first priority. Otherwise, our progress will be exceedingly slow. We still haven't seemed to decide on a logo, slogan, brand, mission statement, etc., because we are not yet organized. It is the difference between success and failure. If we succeed without being organized, that's just luck. After that, I think the priority is to polish the website to make it more user-friendly and easier to find out what Karmacoin is about and navigate the website. Some notes about design and brandingWe need 1 or 2 people that have experience in website UX and/or graphic design/marketing to make decisions related to UX and design/marketing. (Alternatively, putting together a contest on 99designs and tweaking the submissions as we go along.) We then need to survey 10+ people that 1) are not a part of Karmacoin but may possibly be in future; 2) our target market, to find out how they feel about Karmacoin from the logo/brand If we have a couple of people here designing and working to continually please a large number of non-designers who have every manner of concerns about design, progress will be nearly impossible. We're a coin, but "Karmacoin" is still a brand and should be treated as any global brand would be. This is perhaps the most important decision we'll make, and one that needs to be done quickly. Whenever the democratic process is inserted into design decisions chaos ensues. This is what has happened to us. The only voting that should take place is surveying people that do not yet have a stake in Karmacoin. (non-technical people that will be the greatest majority of future users) In the following link, Marissa Meyer of Yahoo chronicles what happened when they did the same thing that Karmacoin did. I really dont like what this is going to be. ID registrations? really? So my name will be in some database, that can be stolen by hacker and made public on the internet. So If NEM wil become 1 dollar, everyone will know that Im millionair? So all people that know me will beg me for money, because "I created money out of thin air".
Actually, millionair that made money off the pyramide scheme,(so in case I wont be willing to share, they can justly hate me) in that time maybe even illegal pyramid scheme? (so banks will have less work finding whose account to freeze)

I expect 10+ satoshi in a week time.
What killed us was the mining profitability was based on coinmarket.io. When they paused trading last week its basically killed the volume and price. I don't have my finger on the pulse of the miners but I can imagine with they flooded the market to unload their karma it dropped the price and a few chicken littles did as well. We are barely a month old, we are working out the kinks and will get the Karma train back on the tracks soon! |
