541  Economy / Reputation / Re: LFC_bitcoin sending PMs to his friends to oppose flag and bribing DT inclusion on: August 14, 2020, 12:05:52 AM
Why are you playing with me mate? I was excited to see the post but I do not see any PM from you. You have no idea how hard it's going on with me. Please stop it.

The account BitcoinGirl.Club is currently locked.
So the password would not help you as no one is logging in that account for the moment at least.
Please continue the recovery process through email and if everything checks out you will get the account unlocked.

543  Other / New forum software / Re: How do you use the "draft" option on: August 10, 2020, 11:47:37 AM
Yes, seems the first iteration has one single draft. Starting to think it might be enough... dunno

It saves the text as a draft as you write automatically.
If you close the window, pc restarts, bsod etc and open a thread you are prompted if you want to load the draft. Thing is after if you write in another thread it overwrites the existing draft.

It would serve as a single backup for unexpected situations.
As @suchmoon mentioned that this is the main use case and no one else mentioned any other one I would say it does what it's supposed to... I guess...

545  Local / Market / Re: Traductor Spaniola - Romana - Engleza on: August 06, 2020, 10:45:22 AM
Va puteti certa peste tot in engleza (meta, reputation, scam accusation, offtopic, twitter etc.) dar aici scrieti in romana!
Puteti arhiva thread-ul daca credeti ca este necesar sau va puteti baza pe site-ul lui LoyceV pentru viitoare certuri inevitabile dar postarile in engleza vor fi sterse in curand..
Pana si theymos scria (google translate, dar chiar si asa) in romana aici. Si fillippone raspundea in romana aici. Ma astept ca toata lumea sa faca la fel.

Am mai facut aluzii dar nu prea au fost intelese

Si te mai deranjez cu o ultima propunere: pana si fillippone posteaza in romana aici  Grin
546  Other / Meta / Re: Is this considered a death threat? on: August 04, 2020, 10:13:03 PM
It certainly is not polite, but not a death threat. Don't want to take sides but this is a seldom used curse phrase in Romanian. At least in my neck of the woods as I heard few people use it before (once or twice). Swearing in Romanian is hard to translate fully in other languages, as is the case of many other languages...

So...

- He opened a thread where he offered translations (it was badly written and was very vague. Most might have understood he needed translation)
- You offered him your translation service which he took as thread hijacking (and legend has it that you are still translating his word to this day)
As for some reason he chooses to speak english English on a romanian Romanian board i'll I'll just say that I make the translation understandable, i I don't either have nor want all that stupid gramatical idiocracy idiocy (n.b. for this context, the correct term is idiocy, but the caveman doesn't know what idiocracy means) as there's someone else to bother with that. Ofcourse Of course, any translation would be written without grammatical mistakes and a corrector will be used on top."
- he got upset and started cursing very bad
- you then called him out for his broken Romanian
- some more swearing, some more translations, some more cursing...
- you then called him out for his broken English
- some more swearing, some more translations, some more cursing...

Conclusion:

1. IMHO not a death threat...
2. WTF are you even arguing about ? There is no scam, just a guy with "less than perfect" writing skills advertising for translation services. Not the first, not the last.
3. Write in Romanian in the Romanian local board!!! If you need you can translate it later. Seems you are both translating stuff anyways so shouldn't be a problem.
547  Other / Meta / Re: Do type 2/3 flags apply when the damage is not monetary/financial/material? on: August 04, 2020, 10:45:21 AM
What the title says - do the above statements in flag descriptions mean only monetary/financial/material damage?

Yes.
As theymos said flags are used for trades. Something you can attach a monetary value.
The fact that Alice breaks Bob's trust exposing sensitive info, secret details ... these have a very subjective financial value. "My info is priceless to me". Others may think that info is worthless.

Emotional damage doesn't count online IMO.

So to share my two cents if Alice damages Bob's privacy then Bob should just add Alice to his ignore list and maybe leave a trust feedback and rant in a few threads in reputation...
Be careful who you trust Bobby (who ever you are) Smiley

^I confirm that this is indeed malware and posts have to be deleted, user banned.
After further investigation, i found out two users who have direct links to the same malware zip file in their signatures.

Found a dozen more with that github repo in the signature space.
I'll give them that... inventive, but still useless. Pathetic goblins probably buy them off the dark web and just upload them to github and post the url here. A monkey can do that if you train it enough, witch seems to be the case here.
Luckily they are morons Smiley and are found without much effort at all !

I suppose the scammers read this thread too so just want to say :
549  Other / Meta / Re: LoyceV's Topic Details: highlight deleted and edited posts (forum wide) on: July 30, 2020, 07:54:29 AM
My "later backups" ended here. That's because I haven't processed all data yet, but I should have it archived already. If you're looking for an older post that was deleted recently, you can try again later. I need some time to finalize this data.

Was actually looking for a recent post that was recently deleted (few days old)

551  Other / New forum software / How do you use the "draft" option on: July 28, 2020, 11:00:46 AM
Recently the draft option has been implemented on epochtalk: https://github.com/epochtalk/epochtalk/releases/tag/v1.25.0

There's a new version Smiley
Cheers Smiley
Quote
1.25.0 (2020-07-21)
Bug Fixes
issue with draft status not clearing after message appears (97050d2)
Features
add db method for querying post draft by user id (d615417)
add db method for upserting post drafts (4a8d11b)
add resource for updating/retrieving drafts (3374e70)
allow null for draft, in order to clear out users current draft (12f0988)
clear out draft after post is created (e3bf192)
create route to update post drafts (a956c61)
display draft status in editor (d96ba80)
dont save draft if it hasnt changed (59c94cc)
load draft on editor open (59e1328)
route for getting post draft now functional (ba56180)
update to use latest version of epoch (e111b6c)

But still needs some updates to work as good or even better than it already does.

My proposals would be
- have a "save to draft" button on the editor and eliminate the concept "create draft when you preview post"
- keep the current max 100 drafts and delete them after 7 days. Since they got separated, different drafts for posts and PMs, maybe 50 for posts and 50 for PMs...

Would like to know how you use the draft option (as a place to store templates, don't use them that much etc), how many drafts do you have and if you guys have any other ideas or proposals for this topic. i.e the option to delete some drafts from the list etc.

Your input would be highly appreciated.

P.S. I know it's not the most important feature but thought to start with this one as it is fresh out of the coding oven and see where it goes Smiley

554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Have DOGE, Want tBTC (Bitcoin testnet) on: July 02, 2020, 09:20:56 AM
tBTC? What is dis?
Is it hardfork? Where can I find more information about this?

Testnet bitcoin (tBTC) are still bitcoin but on a separate blockchain designed for testing. They do not and should not have any monetary value and used strictly for testing. Think about it as "BTC Demo version".
You can read some more info here: Testnet. All about cryptocurrency - BitcoinWiki & Bitcoin Testnet. Activate, experience it, but don't trade and get scammed.
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Have DOGE, Want tBTC (Bitcoin testnet) on: June 30, 2020, 03:55:28 PM
I have a feeling he mixed them up in the title.
Guess he has tBTC and wants to exchange them for DOGE.
My message is:
I want DOGE
That's why he signed a message using a tBTC address (at least that's my logic)
If you want to make those tBTC not worthless lend them for free to devs/newbies so they can test/use/get familiar with it and don't sell/buy tBTC ... as others pointed out.
556  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain on: June 30, 2020, 02:19:38 PM
As Lucius wrote earlier best thing is to read about it. I would suggest this: Mastering Bitcoin (Second Edition, Second Print): Programming the Open Blockchain. It's free and you read it directly from github.
There's a lot of info so take your time... read, ask and things will start to make sense.
557  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ✅[ANN] SUDOKU WALLET | Bitcoin Tumbler | CoinJoin | Instantly Mixing ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ on: June 30, 2020, 11:01:40 AM
Google ad for searching "wasabi wallet" is titled "Wasabi Wallet" but takes you to "sudokuwallet.io" unlike what the title suggest. It wants to create the impression to the user that this is Wasabi Wallet while in reality it's probably just taking the users' bitcoins.

It's indeed borderline Google adwords url phishing (tho to be fair sudoku url does appear on the top of the ad). Not sure about fund stealing but clearly shady behavior at best. It's bad "marketing" decisions like this that could make users stop using and trust someone else to keep their funds.
Disclaimer: not affiliated with Wasabi or any other wallet software. DYOR and stay SAFU Smiley
558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Have DOGE, Want tBTC (Bitcoin testnet) on: June 27, 2020, 10:14:01 PM
Seems you have 0.00873283 tBTC on the address you posted.

Anybody interested in a 1:1 exhange of say 500 coins?

Did you mean 500 test satoshi ?
559  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: June 27, 2020, 11:54:32 AM
Please read before answering horse shit.

Let me rephrase my shit... I assume it would also work if the addresses was in a quote. And if I am right it is ok and not worth changing due to the what I said before.
One man's shit is another man's post. You might also want to read some things twice... just saying

Edit : @Loyce yeah, for deleted posts also but was referring that users could add them in quotes like
"This is my ETH address
Quote
ETH-address-here
" and might bypass this if it excluded quotes  Wink
560  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: June 27, 2020, 10:24:43 AM
Does it show it even when it's a quote?

The telegram bot notifies you if someone quotes a post where you were @.. so I assume this one would do the same.
Tho I would not change that as some might add their addy in quotes to bypass it.
