Exactly, you are very similar to my friend who chose to do full-time trading and with that decision he could focus more on doing research and the results he could be successful at this time. Hopefully you can also be successful with your decision.
The decision is a nice one but the issue here with me is that; how often are the profit going to come in to take care or day to day expenses, also, hat about if OP have family to care for? Will trade full-time be able to make him the needed financial power to careta for the family. I wouldn't encourage you or any other to take such decision which might lead to the detriment of the family.

Of course all this depands on your background and responsibilities. Even no comments here.

OP, instead of giving everyone tips on where, and when, to buy and sell, can you teach how to achieve the proper mindset to be a winning trader?

How did you start out, and what kind of work did you do in your trading to improve?

Hello man!

Indeed the psychology matters. And the steps needed depend on your current stage of the mindsit development.
I would say that first of all you need to understand your enemies. They are greed and fear. It's a usual thing when you woork with money.
Greed. When you enter a trade you are thinking of the mountains of gold and youf future lambo. No way. You need to think of the right decision only. The rewards will come then, and you will have enough time to enjoy them.
Imagine yourself as a robot with a code already written (your trading plan). You have to repeat the iterations without delays or wrong things and if anything goes bad, you stop and fix your code.
Fear. It appears when you are already in trade or would like to close it. You are afraif to lose or to miss opportunities. The same mistake as above.
Happiness. Good feeling. So, you closed a trade and earned. You feel happy and already filling a glass of wine. Nope. If you are supposed to trade you need to seek for the new opportunities immediated as soon as you closed your previous trade. And focus on youк strategy, not wine.
Also I'd mention overtrading. When you go full time you are more influenced by temptation to trade more (oh more time more money). This is BAD. You heed to have a strick schedule. Otherwise, your efficiency will fall significantly. Remember about such trap as tilt. Thus, you need to put not only time limits, but also limits on the number of failed trades, losses and so on.

Here are the major things I'd recommend in terms of trader's mindset.

The market is not so sweet, anyway... Closed at the strong resistance rebound.

Look at these attempts. Bet on breakout, but set a close trailing... Waiting.

You guys risking?

This is what I love trailing stops for. Even when the price goes not your way, you are still in profit.
Double benefit from the trade: lesson & some reward for your caution.

Trailing to everyone and cheers!

Positive share about trade  Cheesy Cheesy which we are not looking everyday in this thread. Grin Grin It's really inspire those people who want to leave trading and frustrated about trading. Twelve years in trade that's mean you spend many times in trade that's why at this moment you are so confidence about trade. That's why always said that patient is the main key for trade.

Yes, when you just start you need some proces that this is not in vain. You need to be inspired somehow and get both external and internal support.
12 years teach you to keep calm lol. Agree

I'll be following this thread and added you in my twitter account. It's nice to see a thread that continues to share their trades. Some will start their thread and after a few bad trades they will abandon.

Unfortunately it is so. And is is a statistics.. Those who are stronger and more hard working are staying. The time passes and a half of them is also gone for a variety of reasons. Then those who stayed get the rewards. But it's a long way... Full of emotions to overcome. Then you feel yourself different even is real life.

BTC is above 12k...
Looks like it is time to get some profits
I did sold a few when it hit $12,200, I somewhat knew that it won't hold that long in that position and will go back to $11,500 which it did after a few hours.

Congrats! Seems like that was one of the best scenarios. The resistance is really strong.
I hoped for the breakout the first time after grabbing profits from my first long. Thу price hit the resistance several times. But now it is much more indecisive. That is what trailing stop for

What is your strading style? Any leverages?
I do mix with scalping and swing trading. I use cross leverage on Bitmex. Been liquidated a couple of times lol. I learned my lesson though.

Lol. Bitmex is a great teacher indeed. Feel what you are saying. What size?

Swing, counter trend sometimes. Scalping is what I do when I feel boring huh it's always fascinating and quite profitable. But here the harsh limits are necessary (I mean time limits so as not to overtrade)
Sth like that..
I think that's one of the most common mistakes, overtrading. I think we need to let ourselves focus on another thing while we trade because we might get impatient. Maybe I'm just like that or something.

Sounds alright, yes.. Btw, when I became a full time trader, first times it was more difficult not to overtrade. As you see your earnings are unlimited. At the same time you forget that your time and health are limited.

As for the alts.. Yeah, for now it seems they are far behind (jst look  at the statistics)
Anyway, crypto is full of surprises, that is what I love it for
Crypto market is definitely a double-edged sword. You get cut or you will cut. Gain or lose. That's just all there is to it. Discipline is still the best key to understand and to conquer the market.

Any market basically is so. Yeah, and the key (discipline) is so simple and so difficult to comply with at the same time...

Keep up as well! I'm sure you are a competent trader with good results. In this case the results are becoming better with the time and experience.
I'm trying to be a competent trader. Just waiting to have the right opportunities in the coming weeks and following some of my idols also in trading. Maybe soon, I could share with you that I have achieved something like what you have.

What is your strading style? Any leverages?

As for the starting capital, absolutely agree with you.  Remember times I was actively scalping to increase it.. Looks like it was in a previous life huh
So now, you are focused on swing trading? Maybe scalp a few times from now and then?

Swing, counter trend sometimes. Scalping is what I do when I feel boring huh it's always fascinating and quite profitable. But here the harsh limits are necessary (I mean time limits so as not to overtrade)
Sth like that..

As for alts used for BTC.. interesting idea. Ia it would be used, I won't be against at all  Wink
Basically, personally I see a great potential in BTC not only as in a means of trading speculations. But also in a wise investment thing. The time will show us the opportunities with it. But the timeline os still so blurred
I can't seem to see the future with alts overtaking BTC, I don't think it would be that easy too. Some alts are a long way to go too. Let's see what's next in the coming weeks.

As for the alts.. Yeah, for now it seems they are far behind (jst look  at the statistics)
Anyway, crypto is full of surprises, that is what I love it for
