No, the average investor will not hedge with Bitcoin. The poor economic data that came out means the Fed is likely to keep printing. If the Fed prints, yields go down and price goes up, so the hedge for a traditional investor is treasuries and equities.
Obviously we investors here are a different story but we make up only a fraction of the populace.

If Dwolla sent the transfer then the funds are probably with the MtGox subsidiary that was busted for not having a money transmitter license. If that's the case, I would assume your funds are frozen along with any other funds that were held with that subsidiary. I hope you get your money back.

Will you do escrow? What is the price over spot for a 1oz pamp gold bar? What about a 1oz gold eagle?
It changes everyday...but show me a price and I will try to beat it. And yes, willing to do escrow. No shadiness going on here, I just want to take advantage of my ability to get items cheaper than retail and make some money. APMEX is offering pamp bars @ $30 over spot. http://www.apmex.com/product/11951?utm_source=HomePage&utm_medium=FlashBanner&utm_campaign=062513product11951Also what is the cost for shipping within the US? Insured? Thanks.

Seems like the price has been stable for the past months after the major crash from 260, good for merchants, bad for investors.
Is now the time to take it mainstream since the risk isn't high anymore?
What makes you think there isn't high risk anymore? With great risk comes great reward, as we have seen, but that pendulum can swing both ways. We are still very much in a risky period.

I'm not selling the BTC I hold, just in case..
You should be alright then. If it takes off, you'll reap some of the benefit, if it crashes and burns, you had good foresight. Bitcoin is still very early in its develop and is subject to substantial risk, we all need to individually assess our own risk tolerance and make our decisions accordingly.

ShroomsKit... Tell us the truth... Did you sell yet?
And Nagle... Did you buy, Nagle?
Is Nagle back?

Did they disable MtGox codes too? Seems like an easy arbitrage, sell at MtGox => get code => load code @ Bitstamp => rebuy BTC at a lower price.

After your account with Coinbase is verified how long does it take to receive coins in your wallet?
Typically about 5 business days.

maybe I'm missing something, but how do you come to this price? (1BTC)
100 gram silver bar $63.81
atm. Am I missing something?
Are you trying to compare the current spot price? Have you read the first page of this thread? You need to update as BTC has been under $125 for quite some time.

He's the Executive Director, Chairman of the Board, and Treasurer.

What I hear is, "We are having cash flow problems, and it serves us best to only hold up the big withdrawals - the small ones aren't really the issue".
Yup. Anyone still using Gox is playing with fire. The writing has been on the wall for so long now.

As I look at coinbase right now, I can sell my coins for 106.39 or buy them for 107.35. GOX is at 111.8 & 111.88. Is coinbase no longer using GOX?
It would be nice if they stopped pegging to Gox. I'm thinking with the USD halt, there's a lot of people selling on Coinbase so they might be loaded up with a surplus of coins they want to unload, thus the lower price. Just speculation of course.

There's nothing wrong with a dividend depreciating. If someone paid you $500 a day for absolutely nothing, and gradually knocked off $10 a day, would you really care? I sure the fuck wouldn't. I'll stay in until I'm right down to $0/day.
The problem is you aren't getting something for nothing. You're paying an upfront share fee so as difficulty increases but your mining power stays constant, it takes longer and longer to recoup your initial outlay much less make any gains. Granted, the potential share price appreciation needs to be accounted for as well.
