541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Viorcoin | Voice & Video Call | Cheap International Calls on: January 16, 2015, 05:34:04 PM
I'll be in frenode #viorcoin if anyone want's to talk

No! I'd advise anyone not to do it, He lured the dev of mne (mchrono) for a chat as well, didnt give him room to say what was on his mind, and then published the log to spread fud, you can read it all back on that thread..

because mne is totally legit.  I may come across as harsh, but not one of my questions has been answered

I'm still waiting on Vior Dev's questions for me Smiley
I remember you had some questions to him

The code is not updated to viorcalls, the system I have privacy and security concerns with

I wrote an article explaining my thoughts in a more coherent manner: https://medium.com/@redditbass/vior-and-the-coming-demise-of-centralized-altcoins-f8239a69025c

I welcome the dev or community member to write a thought out response, as I welcome healthy debate.

This coin is old almost three months. Where have you been for interview?

I have a few questions for you:

1. Are you competent person to judge about other coins?
2. Based on what you wrote that article?
3. What is actually your doubt? Just simply explanation that everybody understand.
4. Are you the dev of another coin? If so what is your intention about Vior coin?
5. Do you want to help to Vior coin and how?
6. If you are the part of supernet, how many coins succeeded by joining to super net?
 Thanks

1. I believe so, I am in the middle of developing a decentralized asset exchange, and my coin has a number of unique features which vior even uses.

2. ?

3.  I don't see the innovation here, and I invited them to a debate on what they do.  Specifically over advantages over tox

4. Yes, I am dev of Opal and an extended dev of Ðogecoin.  This has no bearing on my comments.  I am a separate entity from those coins.

5. I want to improve vior, I would rather have a coin that innovates than one that does not.

6. All of them

I welcome the dev or community member to write a thought out response, as I welcome healthy debate.

Healthy debates are started by straight forward respectful questions.
Something civilized such as:

Do you see the need for decentralization?
What are your plans to make the functionality decentralized?

The continued escalating Strong Armed approaches are uncalled for.
I talked to him a few weeks ago and he claimed it was unnessacsry
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Vior and the Coming Demise of Centralized Altcoins on: January 16, 2015, 06:16:28 AM
I had some free time: https://medium.com/@redditbass/vior-and-the-coming-demise-of-centralized-altcoins-f8239a69025c

Quote
Bitcoin was made for a purpose: to upheave the outdated fincancial systems and governments holding us down. There has been a recent rise in “Altcoins,” some of which build on Bitcoin, and others which only serve as a birthing ground for scams, pumpers, and shady developers. Some of the innovative altcoins have created systems that improve on Bitcoin at the protocol level and enrich the community, rather than the developer.

Today, I had a no-so-pleasent experience with Vior, a coin which had what is called an “ICO,” or initial coin offering. 95% of ICO coins turn out to be scams, with an occasional rarity, and it annoys me to see coins claiming innovation, while not improving on the systems distributed technologies serve to build on. Vior is a prime example of this. Vior has implemented Voip calling from it’s wallet, and is certainly not the first (or last) coin to do this. You may consider this innovation, but it’s barely a millimeter closer to the goal that cryptocurrency aims to achieve. Vior’s systems are centralized and run through a central server, which is bad for a number of reasons:

Trustlessness: Cryptocurrency is founded on the notion that the only trust we should have to put into it is trust in mathematics and the code that powers the coin. Coins that use a centralized server, such as Vior and Stellar fail to achieve a functioning model, as they rely on the end user to trust the server. Despite claiming that this server is secure, they provide no evidence that it isn’t owned by any of the 3-letter agencies out there, or owned by a snoop looking into private calls. The fact that you have to trust a faceless person on the internet to protect your information, thoughts, and private life destroy any notion of privacy and usefullness of these systems.
Advantage over existing systems: You may say, this centralization is better than nothing, however it only lures in users with a false sense a security, away from actual skype and voip alternatives that protect you privacy in a publically verifiable way, eliminating the need for trust in the system. An example of these systems is Tox, a revolutionary free distributed, p2p, voice and video call system, which will soon integrate bitcoin payments. The ICO money that went to Vior and goes to scamcoins all day rarely serve to even improve on existing systems.
For these reasons, I believe that centralization is not only bad, it’s toxic to the digital currency ecosystem. I invite Viorcoin’s developer to a public debate on this.

supernet is a circlejerk party made by 17yo feggits who asslick eachother just to steal features from other coins lol.dont join gaynet vior.

Real mature, and 2nd, http://github.com/jl777/libjl777 speaks for itself.

Coinville seems like a cheap ripoff

your interview thing doesnt seem to be that widely published.

there are a bunch of other newsgroups that would make a much better interview.

Viorcoin could be our first coin if bit swift cannot make it.  Our other shows can get up to 50 live listeners, as well as our reruns getting a large amount of listeners.  In addition, viorcoin is trying to become a supernet coin, and this interview will be inevitable if they want a shot.

All in all, your choice, but if you can't back up your tech, what can you do?
if you cant read between the lines, your a illiterate.he says fck off.............................................................
Lol!!!  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

maybe he is irritated because opal is still in 3k

-Says coin that has a market cap $20k lower than opal

not gonna be like that soon.

Really?  The coin that lets you centralized call people will have a higher MC than a coin that will have a decentralized asset exchange within a week?  kthxbai

Hmm... He want to use VIOR's name to gain publicity!

Doubtful, i will be leaving now.  Don't expect viorcoin to join supernet.  I know you act like you don't care, but your dev's actions contradict that

hes constantly backing up his tech, by making it work.

compared to all the other devs shitty vaporware and crap half projects out there, vior dev is a deliverer

Not denying that.  But i do have some concerns about the tech that i'd like to discuss.  He said he would like to ask me some questions.  I'll go first.  Vior Dev: Please post all of your questions on this forum about opal/myself, and i will answer them
why dont you take this conversation to the opal forum, we can go there check out what you got and decide whether we would like to download your wallet.

here is where we dicuss viorcoin, you have a question then go ahead and ask

Ok, have vior dev post to opal thread, i don't care.  All i'm saying is I can defend myself without acting like a child

Now supernet wants viorcoin source  Huh

1) I am not a representative of Supernet, I am lead dev of a supernet coin.

2) We don't need your source, but if you're going to apply for supernet, your code can't be hidden. If we happen to take even 1 line of code, you can burn me at the stake

3) I'd like to formally invite ViorCoin to a tech audit and interview on supernet radio, 1 on 1, neutral moderator at request.  This is great PR if you can back up your tech.

Again, why is code closed source

to stop all the copycats

Wait, let's take a look at this: Your (centralized) server code doesn't need to be released, but why is the frontend code hidden?

Because of you.

Can we talk on slack?  I'm very confused with your behavior towards me...
