541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most important thing in a betting site on: November 26, 2023, 03:03:07 PM
I want a plain online casino, no drama, I will prefer if they ask for KYC straight away not until I plan to make some higher withdrawal, also their customer services must be top notch.

Which platform I will choose to gamble on is on me, reputation is very important as this will give me confidence that I am gambling on a licensed casino with regulated and audited games, because some online casinos are all cheaters with their games, not all their fair.

This is why I have problem with brand new casinos, they are still trying to build up their rep, meaning that anything can still happen and not everything will be perfect, but they way they make their customers feel through customers services is very important, if there is no sense of feeling safe among the customers they will look for other options.
542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy with unusual/strange gambling sites on: November 26, 2023, 02:33:17 PM
OP you are just lucky, not all ads can be trusted, most times they are trap and if this was one of them you would have walked straight into the trap, you gamble your way to finding a new casino website, this is a wrong move, if you know what's good for you, do not repeat the same thing again, you can land in bigger problem if you are not careful in future.

Mind you, I will like to know the name of this casino, there is more than many people know about online security, there might be someone on going in the background that you don't even know, like what @lovesmayfamilis said, make sure you don't drop any information for the casino, do not pass KYC yet, you need to do some investigation first.

If you are able to withdraw it makes no difference, they might be after other things than you know, I dislike this manner of approach with new casinos, your device might be compromised already, stop clicking on ads, it's a not a safe thing to do.
543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Got hacked, lost 11 BTC on: November 26, 2023, 09:51:05 AM
Sorry to say but even if this person learn how to sign a message is the BTC coming back? Are you guys going to get his BTC back for him? Why are you forcing him to sign a message? So that you can believe that he is indeed the rightful owner? What is next after? Let us send his BTC back to him since he is the rightful owner?

OP, I am glad you learned your lesson, you don't have to keep longing this thread, you shared your pain and people don't still believe, leave the post and move on, new readers will learn something from it or also join the group of people that don't believe.

My advice for you now is to get a hardware wallet, it's not even up to $300 to get a solid one, Trezor, Onekey, Keystone, Tangem, D'cent, and so on, these wallets are badass, good for keeping large amount of crypto, now they are doing discount, black Friday's everywhere, act now to avoid future losses, take heart and be strong.
Because it's quite often for newer members to come up with such stories to attract attention and merit as well, in a desperate attempt to rank up. I don't know what to believe. I've read a whole lot of stories here, and a large number of them were fiction. I can't accept that someone who supposedly had 11 BTC, worth approximately half a million dollars, was that of a novice who did not have a hardware wallet, which barely costs $70, and kept his wallet on a shared Windows computer, not even a separate computer or OS for this purpose. I'm sorry, but it doesn't sound plausible.
I understand why you are trying to say, but can you show me a similar thread that received merit because they lost their Bitcoin? This isn't a topic that looks like a merit fishing stuff, maybe I am wrong but sorry to say I won't dare merit this post at all, 11BTC is gone, what will merit do at this point? I feel sorry for whoever this person is but what does this have to do with merits? It solves nothing to this problem.

They must have done something wrong using the crypto wallet without them knowing, it can happen to anybody but there is no way this will fetch him merits, if he truly want merit he would have talk about ways to avoid the mistakes, things beginners need to do to avoid getting their Bitcoin wallet compromised?

There is no single tutorial or even advice, he merely shared his painful experience, with the way you think, imagine if this is real? Have you even consider to think it this way?
544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblin with crypto because taxation makes no sense? on: November 25, 2023, 12:05:35 PM
I also think that the governments are cheating their citizens, gamblers can win or lose, but gambling sites are the ones that are constantly winning and making money from customers. In that sense, only those gambling sites are supposed to be taxed, not the gamblers.

It would be better if the government want to tax gamblers, the government also supposed to pay the percentage taxed of the amount the gamblers are losing. I mean assuming the tax is 10%, if gamblers lose money, government also supposed to pay 10% to the gamblers of the amount they lose. This will make taxing gamblers justifiable.
Maybe in other countries but in my own country gamblers are not taxed in any way, if that's happening anywhere then its not good, that's a big reap off from the government, although there are other ways that the government is robbing us in broad day light, so it varies depend on countries.

Some countries are even paying taxes on crypto, I read it online but that's way stupid, I will move out of such country because the cryptos aren't even supported by the government, they are trying as much to kill majority of these crypto projects yet they want people to pay tax? Crazy things are indeed happening in the world.

As a matter of truth, I have never like the government for anything, the only thing I expect of them is security, anything else is garbage, this was why I felt saved from stupid dramas since I started investing in Bitcoin, the government want an eye in everything.
545  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: November 25, 2023, 11:07:42 AM
They have enough money for taking risks, if you have so much to spare you will get lucky more often than those that have so less to spare, I learned this when I start investing into crypto projects, but the best advice is to avoid looking up to the rich, your ways are not their own ways, do not copy them.

Also if you are rich and you lack gambling experience you will still lose a lot of money and when the rich loses money you as a poor person will feel thankful, because the money is always a lot, I am satisfied with the small amount I am risking on gamble and I can't compare myself to those that have enough money to risk anyhow they want.

Let's say something good happens to me and I get richer than I have ever been, I don't think I will be a full time gambler still, when you are rich you have to be more cautious, or else you will crumble and go back to been poor, you need to avoid some stupid risks and still maintain a responsible statue or gambling will ruin you.
546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Got hacked, lost 11 BTC on: November 25, 2023, 10:25:34 AM
My PC is running back up right now. I'll post the signed message after it finishes and I figure out how to do it. If you feel you need to report this post, by all means, do what you feel need to do
If you don't know how to sign messages maybe this can help you. How to sign a message?!

It's regrettable to lose 11 BTC that's a huge amount we thought, but why not choose a cold wallet as suggested by others as it's not worth such a huge asset but keeping it in a hot wallet which might be vulnerable to hacker attacks when you experience its negligence.

It's just a lesson because it's impossible to get coins back, so in the future, be more careful.

Hope you don't get depressed.
Sorry to say but even if this person learn how to sign a message is the BTC coming back? Are you guys going to get his BTC back for him? Why are you forcing him to sign a message? 547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot games are a waste of time and money (most of the time) on: November 25, 2023, 09:23:56 AM
Next time don't join a online casino because of free spins, it is clear that you join the casino because you want free money and always understand that anything free from one casinos are not really free, they are doing marketing so don't expect to win free money just like that.

I am wondering why you decide to play Slots because you sound like someone who don't normally play Slots, why this time? To enjoy the free 77 spins? I think this was why you decided to try Slots out and what you got wasn't what you are expecting, lesson of the day, there is no free money anywhere.

Leave Slots for those who enjoy it, you don't have to talk as if Slots is a very bad game, it depends on your expectations and likes, Slots is not for every gamblers, if sport is best for your need stay with sports, don't go around because you want to win money, only those who can't afford to lose money in gambling are looking for free things, maybe gambling isn't something you should be involved with right now.
548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you foresee crypto payments going mainstream soon? Why or why not? on: November 23, 2023, 07:02:59 AM
The huge growth in crypto right now is the adoption part, holding and creating value but I don't see any improvement in the payment solution side, not even a single one, there are few crypto payment companies but they are not progressing but they exist, even if ETFs get approved i don't believe that crypto payment will grow, its a matter of choice and consumers only want to build wealth with crypto not use them as means of payment.

I am accumulating good crypto projects and I won't be using any to make payment online, if I am to use crypto to make payment I will have to buy the coin back again for long term holding, but I do like getting paid in Bitcoin, since the Bitcoin transaction fee have increased it's become hard to get paid in Bitcoin, it's now up to a month that my customers have paid me with Bitcoin, it's like things are getting slower.
549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Carreer skill benefit of gambling on: November 22, 2023, 09:06:58 AM
That socialisation with gambling works with games you can play with people only, what about online gambling? Its you against the house and that's it, yes I accept that you will get used to making friends with people but I still find it hard to make friends with strangers, if I have to physically gamble it will be friends and family members that I already know.

The smartest people in the world are not gamblers, and the few that are considered to be very smart use their knowledge to win big in gambling, like those mathematicians that are so good in math that they form their own gambling strategy and it worked for them.

My own believe is that gambling can't make you smart, because anything that requires luck more than skills makes you vulnerable, if skills is the most important many people will have good news almost everyday to share about gambling, the most effective thing you can do is to be very good at managing your bankroll.

Know how much to risk, know when to leave and know when to take your profit.
550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would You Crowdfund for a Gambler Who Has Gambled Irresponsibly? on: November 22, 2023, 08:00:12 AM
That's a irresponsible gambler, only a fool will raise money for them, sometimes its hard to see through people using their mistakes and if that's what I failed to realize here then this person should stand up for himself and build something first.

Even big crowfunding companies risks their money on something that's half way baked, almost through or within the Beta stage, they make sure that they see somethinh worth risking money on before taking the step, if this person haven't done anything, no past achievements and experience you are simply throwing your money away.

Like I've said, maybe gambling isnt just good for this person but he failed to manage his bankroll that's why he is a irresponsible gambler, to me its a red flag to sponsor such person, but they have the chance to change minds, if he can prove himself one way or the other.
551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Start with the little you have, you don't need millions of dollars to own BTC. on: November 22, 2023, 07:20:24 AM
This brings back some memories, when people hear the price of bitcoin it becomes a big turn off for them, and if you try explaining that they can buy some part of 1 BTC they will lose interest, everyone seem to want the 1BTC but couldn't afford it yet they believe it makes no sense to buy 0.5BTC, this was how someone in my family missed a big opportunity years ago, I tried confusing her to do it but she kept saying she can't buy 1BTC, the lack of knowledge about how bitcoin works is the biggest problem for many people.

Today its now extremely harder to buy half of 1 BTC, and I am positive that in the next two years it will be even more harder to get 0.5BTC, it will feel almost impossible for those who are not millionaires, if you don't know something I expect you to do some findings to your questions and doubts but instead people will make up their minds based on nothing.

552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone been able to make steady income with gambling ? on: November 22, 2023, 06:51:18 AM
If steady income is what you are looking for in gambling you should not be gambling at all, steady income only exists in businesses or skills based works, find something else to look for or risk losing all your money in a matter of days.

There is no way you will enjoy gambling if you are doing it to make steady income, because you will surley lose more money in the process, the best way to enjoy gambling is to risk only what you can afford to lose, and place bet on games you will love watching of playing.

I don't win every time I gamble but my focus isn't on me wining too, I do this only when I miss a certain game, like the Slots games, I like them because they are fun and also more interested in their playing method and sound tracks, I win when I don't see it coming.
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Luck and skill, which is more important for gambling success? on: November 21, 2023, 01:32:30 PM
Skills only take the lead where it's really needed, how many gambling games can be won with Skill? Maybe poker that's it, and even in poker you still need to be lucky to win, I think gambling is asking for luck more than a skill player, even someone who have no idea about gambling before can decide to start today and he is welcome with good winning, you can also see that many gamblers that are highly skilled still struggles to win from time to time.

Either skilled or not, what I have understand about gambling is that the 99% will always lose money and they 1% will be the lucky ones, if it's all about skill there will be many gamblers who are millionaires today, it's not easy to be a gambler who wins most of his time gambling.

554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you in profit? on: November 21, 2023, 01:01:23 PM
I don't keep records on how much I have wasted on gambling but I do know that I am not a winner when it comes to gambling, I have noticed that I use to lose more money than I have ever win, and even reading gamblers reviews online I have notice that many people lose money in gambling and only handful of people win in gambling, if this doesn't tel you that gambling isn't for money making I don't know what could.

If your main goal is not fun you will be disappointed with gambling, that's why using gambling as your source of income is so wrong, it's better to look into something else, gambling only make sense if you are doing it for fun and with small money, the probability of you losing almost every thing in gambling is high.

As easy as gambling sounds to majority of gamblers in the world today, I declared that gambling is the most hardest way of making money, you don't know what you will get and the only part that's certain is losing money over and over.
555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want to fulfill my mother's dream of building a house with Bitcoin. on: November 21, 2023, 11:00:50 AM
Well id say you should go for it OP, anything is possible with Bitcoin investment, the only thing that I haven't done with Bitcoin is building my very own house and I will do it in the near future, if you believe that you can do it them pursue the dream.

The only part that I want to correct you is about yourself, I know the importance of parent and if I am in your shoe right now I would build myself up first, for the main time the only thing you can do for them is give them care, building a house for your mother should come after you build yours first, remember that they are hold, and she still lives with your father, so even if you build the house right now she won't want to leave your father behind.

Use money to take good care of them, and also show how much you love them both, but your ultimate target should be you building yourself up, up to the stage where you won't have to go broke in life again, whether you like it or not, your parents are old, they don't need the best things of life anymore, what most old parents need is care, not necessarily expensive shits.
556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Latest Game in my Country: Bottle Flip on: November 21, 2023, 10:04:37 AM
If you want to lose your money, place bet on bottle flipping, you will instantly regret, some people are so good at this game that they will only lose if they feel like losing, this is just a game of fun to waste time away, do not bet money on this game, unless both players are new to the game because it's easier to get really good at it.

Local games are so much fun, not just this bottle flipping game but few other local games, but placing bet on such games isn't good as it's not fair, I still prefer placing bets on ludo and Whot game, and the money isn't even up to $0.5, not the amount to feel weird about if you lose.

I like such games because you can play with your friends, there is no battling with the house, it's more exciting than trying to win the house.
557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is the largest sports bet you have ever placed, and what was the result on: November 20, 2023, 03:04:53 PM
I don't have any large bets on sports because it's still gambling and I know why I need to only risk what I can afford to lose, either sports or roulette you need to risk what you can afford to lose, if the money you are risking first whenever you lose it them you shouldn't be gambling, you should be building ways to make more money until you get to a spot where gambling no longer hurts.

What kind of hurt can come to you when you are making thousands of dollars in a month and you are risking $100 or $300 every week on gambling? Also gambling money needs to come straight from your entertainment budget, not your savings or mortgage payment.

I use very low amount on gambling and I don't gamble more than two times in a week, and if good amount of money is made in that week I can gamble three times in that week, the amount is too small for me to remember the results but I do know that I lost most of the time.
558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When does the moment come when the gambler loses control? on: November 20, 2023, 01:06:53 PM
It depends on the gambler...

Some loses control right after they see their friend cashing out big amount of money, they lose their sense of responsibility and they want to try the method of their friend, they forget instantly how it's very important to abide by your own limits and gambling strategy.

Some losses control after they lost just like you said, it's because they aren't prepared to lose that money, such people don't understand the word gambling, they are new and decide to gamble just because they believe it's that easy, so they start chasing their losses hoping to recover it back at least.

Some losses control after they win, this is very common to few numbers of people that I know, they get very happy and they build full confidence in gambling, thinking that everyday will be the same, it's even possible that they will get reckless with gambling after the win, some set goal and limit amount they can afford to lose but wait till they win a round, they will start increasing the amount, they will do the calculation in their head that if they have risked a higher amount in the first place they would have made bigger money.
559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best thing that have ever come to you thanks to BTC on: November 20, 2023, 12:16:48 PM
Almost everything, because what I have achieved today is all thanks to Bitcoin and crypto, I started with nothing and ended with everything, money, value, respect, peaceful living, I got married and all I spent was from Bitcoin, I bought my first car with Bitcoin, I am able to take care of my mother after my father passed and many other things.

It's just painful that everything worked out the same year that I lost him, I was very prepared to pay him back for everything he had done for me, he was there for me when I was nothing, in many country, parents with child of my age always force their children to start bringing money, as far as he is done with school the child should provide, my parents are not like this.

My people who have the power to help me decided to not care and that even strengthen me and I focused on Bitcoin with all my heart, I did everything as if it was my last hope to get out of my uncomfortable zone and I was right all along, today I am still buying and holding Bitcoin and I can't wait to grow even higher by 2025.
560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Is this a good advice? on: November 20, 2023, 11:42:12 AM
I keep seeing gamblers advising themselves that you are one step closer to winning the jackpot when you quit too early,  it's sad that they strongly believe this.

Is this true?

This advice is actually making gamblers believe that they can win when they spend a lot of more time in the casino, they strongly believe that not stopping or taking break will bring them closer to their jackpot.

One of em told me that this is why I don't win, that I only gamble when I feel like, he said constantly gambling is a must if you want to win, but I disagree, because I have seen too many people not knowing when to quit until it was too late.

To me, gambling is a theater, a form of entertainment that I pay for, not a way to get rich quick, for them it's a must to win by force, one question seem to change his mood though.

I asked him why he isn't rich yet if he is actively gambling everytime since all this while, this changed his mood and I took a turn.
