I have a basic knowledge of how to buy and sell Bitcoin, but I want to learn more about the technology and terminology used in Bitcoin.
That is a huge step to learn more about bitcoin, particularly through practice. Next you should want to learn what wallets to use and how to stay safe with the wallet of your choice.

You can then advance to technicalities like running your node and using layer 2 payment solutions.

so a friend told me about this forum and that here would be of great help to me. If anyone can recommend materials that would be of great help to my learning process It would be much appreciated.
You will gets lots of materials you can use. If you encounter any difficulties while studying them, you can come back to ask for more directions.

Team news for the first boxing day match is in. Newcastle are going in with their familiar lineup but without Nick Pope and Lasceles, with the only notable absence being Joelington. Isak starts today and will be looking to get back to his pre injury form, while Trippier will be happy to get some good performances in after the last couple of weeks.

Nuni at Nottingham Forest will be hoping to turn the fortunes of the club around. He is giving some of their youngsters a chance for today's game and are not expected to pick up anything, which gives them the freedom to just play football and hope for the best.

543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lack of proper knowledge on casino games increases chance of loss and reduce fun on: December 25, 2023, 05:57:08 AM
Understanding how games work is very important for every game, but there are some which are very evidently dependent on luck and not skill or expertise. Knowing how to navigate such games does not protect one from loss or give an advantage.

I use such games as a fun activity and not as a means of earning through gambling.

1:1 is not bad for both teams and Liverpool will have another chance for win against Arsenal soon in FA Cup,
but lets see how both teams will perform in next two rounds first.
Not bad at all. Liverpool will be slightly more disappointed cause they played at home where they are usually very dominant, Arsenal have not won at Anfiled for over a decade but have lost very many times, so avoiding defeat is a good result. They will go all in for the reverse fixture at Emirates.

Lots of unexpected results from this mid week. One which guts me the most was changing West Ham winning 2-1 to Manchester United winning. I was fooled by their terrible performance against Liverpool over the week and expected a similar lackluster performance today.

Arsenal are already ahead at Anfield in a fixture that has real significance for the title race. If it stays this way, Villa can finish the match week in second position.

548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: December 23, 2023, 06:58:46 AM
They do not influence me on which casino to use but they have a wide audience and can help in marketing a platform that is not widely known. If I discovered a new casino from a streamer, I will do my research on the casino and rate them over the ones I currently use to know if it is worth the shot.

There are some that will blindly use a casino simply because a streamer uses it without doing any due diligence on how it works.

Is Drake a gambling addict? I think not in the context, same thing with Michael Jordan.
Having spent sometime with people who are actually addicted to gambling it makes it obvious that neither of these celebrities are addicts, they are just famous and it will make an attractive story to make them up to be one.

Barcelona are winning and look to see out the game, but their overall play has not been convincing at all. Struggling against teams like Almeria who are sitting at the bottom of the table means they will find it very difficult to make it to the quarter finals against Napoli in the champions league.

Remains to be seen if the squad is boosted during the January transfer window.

551  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I buy bitcoin ETF now? on: December 18, 2023, 10:31:34 AM
He is not talking about spot bitcoin ETF, he is talking about an altcoin which is only in presale stage as of now. The name is called BTCETF or bitcoin ETF token which would be an ERC20 token.
In that case, the thread should be moved to the altcoin section where it will be a better fit.

Transaction hashes can be used against you I suppose...
This is just a transaction id. That cannot be used against you, and I do not even know what "used against you" is either.

...but I guess it involves making people believe that they are you by showing transaction hashes showing how good you are at trading or how many coins you manage) is taken into account, be it a stretch as it may seem, I think we still deserve some form of security and anonymity one way or another.
It is a huge stretch.

We already have adequate security and also anonymity with the bitcoin network.

What do you mean by "knows your internet" and "leverage your holdings"?

The blockchain is public, but without the private keys you cannot prove ownership or perform any action on the wallet.

554  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transaction is pending because fee was too low, now what on: December 17, 2023, 07:53:55 PM
Op if you don't have the bump fee button then you can use https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ to accelerate the transaction but I doubt if can also go because the transaction fee is low...
The minimum accepted on ViaBTC is 10 sats/byte. Depending on how much inputs were used in the transaction, the fee should be above that amount.

If if is Coolwallet then you can import the it to Trustwallet and make the transaction from there and bump the fee.
DO NOT import your coldwallet into trustwallet for any purpose.
Do not even use it as a hot wallet.

We simply haven't done enough so far, United's defending easily. Hopefully we switch to higher gears soon, the more we wait, the more nervous we're gonna get.
That did not happen, and Arsenal remain at the top of the league for the weekend. A big chance to go 4 points clear of Liverpool next week.

Great comeback from Villa yet again, have they got what it takes? Grin
They are already 5 points clear of Spurs, and 9 from Newcastle for the CL spots. If they continue like this, they do deserve it.
It is always ironic to me to have clubs close and around the top, but they cannot be called title challengers yet, at best people wonder if they can make it to the top four. The premier league is now so open, with fewer defined "top teams" that it is easier for other teams to creep into the top of the table.

556  Economy / Gambling / Re: Banned from RollBit for Italian users on: December 17, 2023, 07:29:35 PM
RollBit also sponsors the Napoli team Huh Huh Huh
I can find some information about that on their instagram account, but nothing on Napoli website at the moment.
Partnerships and sponsorships are not limited to marketing to those in the host country, in the case of Napoli, they have international appeal and can reach to a wider audience, and bigger than that, they give legitimacy to the gambling website. Being associated to a top club gives stability to the platform.

We only care about City losing points. How and why is not the discussion. Arsenal is just a matter of time. Let's hope we do not lose points against Utd. I hate Utd but can we expect another 7 - 0 win against them? I will be happy even if it is a 1 - 0 win against Utd.

I am all for Brighton today 😉
I do not care either, but I hugely disagree on the Arsenal bit. The visit to Anfield will be our true test this season, if we win that and to go top of the league, it will be laying down a huge marker for the other tittle contenders, I really do not know who those are yet... Villa in there too?

The first half against Brighton was all Arsenal, except on the score sheet. No pressure though, there is enough time to nick in one goal or two.

558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you remember when Twitch banned gambling? Now they allow nudity! on: December 16, 2023, 07:13:15 PM
Here we can see the double standards of Twitch's developers. Gambling was condemned as something outrageous, but nudity is fine as family friendly content...
Gambling was not condemned as outrageous. As i vaguely remember the story, it was banned for something that had to do with big influencers and their attitude towards the platform, or something related to that. This was not a moral stand at any point.

If they choose to allow any form of nudity, then it is up the company to decide, does not make it double standards.

This is no where near the ruthless city we are used to seeing in recent years. And it is not down to injuries, they have been one of the least hit by injuries this season when compared to other top teams in the league, they just seem to have won too much and can no longer find that spark and hunger to battle for the title. 1 win in 6 games, and against a relegation side is a terrible statistic.

Winning the champions league may have been what gave them that feeling of satisfaction. For as long as it evaded them, they were hungry to win it, and once they did, that hunger was satisfied.

There is still a long way to go in the season to turn things around.

...but I am in two minds about Newcastle. Ragged and broken, Almiron dragging his body across the line most games recently, while Fulham have been finding some great connections across their forwards...

A draw seems likely but Fulham maybe has the edge here?
They have been out of form and out of sorts, I will call them the most hit by the schedule of matches, so in the bright side of things, dropping out of European football all together could be good for them in the long run. They can focus on the league and build momentum to take them into the top four again. But before they can fix up the team, they have to face high flying Fulham first.

Perfectly balanced games sometimes make a draw look attractive, but I just cannot see it in this match, with Newcastle being at home.
