What the heck is wrong with Sri Lanka. They went from winning positions to losing positions within a short gap since this tournament started. They were 120/0 at one stage and they folded for 209 which is embarassing.

Sri Lanka displayed a completely unprofessional game in today's match. Because the opening two batsmen of the top order, Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Perera, no one's performance was as expected. If 7-8 players in a team get out scoring single digits then it becomes very difficult to win that match. The start was good for the Sri Lankan team but from then on their rhythm fell. Some few days back when the forum went down for some hours, some thoughts that I used to have suddenly resurfaced in my mind. What if the internet crashes permanently! If for any reasons whether natural or manmade the internet suddenly stops working,, what will happen in the world. Unimaginable pandemonium is what will happen, because almost everything is connected to the internet, in fact the world today is so dependant on the internet to transact and communicate almost everything. Be it in finance, telecom, marketing and in every areas of technological advancements, all depends on the internet. It'll seem as if we've suddenly gone back to the stone age, if these where to happen.
I'll focus on finance, so I'm thinking what will happen to the bitcoin inside wallets, what will happen to every fiat currency in bank accounts, if everything erases as a result of internet total breakdown? Who do we hold responsible? I know that the internet technology is manmade, therefore it can not be hundred percent immune to faults and external attacks. And what if there is that less than one chance of it being faulty or compromised, what if that less than one chance happens,? what will be the fate of the world that mainly depends on it to get things done? I'm no tech guru or a prophet of doom, but this are my thoughts and fears on the matter, although I sincerely hope that I'm very wrong on these thoughts.
I'd love to be enlightened better on why it can be impossible that the internet can never be permanently shutdown, having in mind the shortcomings that I've mentioned?
To shut down the internet system in the whole world is impossible but in a specific region it is possible and many times this occurred in my country. The government I think 4 to 5 times shut down the whole internet system in the country and it caused different issues. The internet is now very involved in the life of a human being it is just like food as you can not survive without food in the same way now people can't spend a single minute. All your system works on the Internet in a country but I don't know how the bank works as we know for the transaction internet is necessary but in our country, the banking system work when the Internet is closed either they just off the mobile network and the wifi system may be worked. |

I've seen Gold market prices rising lately as a result of the current Israel-Hamas conflict. However, Bitcoin hasn't experienced any upsurge in price. It's still hovering around the $26k range. Well first of all congratulations on your big achievement of garbing your first bitcoin. In this recent time things have really changed, expecting so much from the government as a graduate can lead people into serious problems. The life we live now is so unpredictable, no one can be sure of practicing their desired career from what they have learnt in school.
I think if people really want to be happy in life, expecially undergraduates and young graduates they should learn not to give all expectations of having living job from the government. If people create the mindset of being creative and productive in this era they will live a more happy life than putting all expectations of getting a dream job from the government. A productive mindset is what young people needs to make life easy and worth living.
