541  Other / Politics & Society / Re: All people Should have the right to own Guns in our Society on: April 30, 2024, 08:35:39 AM
I can not agree to everybody owning a gun in any society, because people have different temperaments, someone who has anger issues can get mad at another person and decide to shoot the person because he has a gun, infact death rate will increase over time. What if the governments approves carrying pistols and shotguns by civilians, and armed robbers are carrying AK-47 riffles, which is more deadlier? I think that we'll be seeing more dead bodies everyday, because crime rates, manslaughter and murder will increase, so let's be careful what we wish for, guns are not supposed to be in the hands of everybody, only trained personnel and people who are authorized should carry guns.
542  Other / Off-topic / Re: Be cautious of Account Hacked on social medias on: April 30, 2024, 07:37:02 AM
Thanks for sharing these important information for us to be alert and vigilant when we're on X (Twitter), even if some of us already knows about these hacks, it's still very important to hear it as a reminder. The whole social media outlets are targets of these hackers, so people must always try to be informed about the latest trends to know sites that have been hacked, so that they don't fall victims to these criminals. It's necessary to always verify the authenticity of links that promises free giveaways, even if they're trusted sites, because they might have been compromised by hackers, like the ones that are stated in the OP.
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What did you think about the future of dogecoin? on: April 30, 2024, 06:31:59 AM
What did you think about the future of dogecoin?
Is it going to do well in the future?
The reason why I'm saying this is because I'm holding dogecoin, did you think I should keep holding it?
Right now, you shouldn't hold it at least for the whole bull run.
Sell it during the bull run and buy it again during the bear market.
I wouldn't write off dogecoin yet, it's the most reputable memecoin and I'll consider it as a top altcoin, with whales like Elon Musk, still backing it, I think that it can spring up a surprise in this bull run and yet aim for a new ATH.

Your advice is valid as far as I'm concerned, if dogecoin, is bullish in this bull run, then let him sale it and bag some ROI, then in the bear run when prices are hitting rock bottom, he can buy it again, and wait for the cycle over again.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Between new tokens and old tokens, which would you invest into? on: April 29, 2024, 04:37:21 PM
Choosing between old and new tokens depends on individual preferences, whether an investor is drawn to long or short term investments, because I know that holding older tokens means that the investor is into long term projects, whereas many people who go for new tokens are the ones that wants quick profits on the short term.

If I'm asked to choose between old and new tokens for investment, I'd choose old tokens, because they've proven their reputations in the crypto market, and if they're old and still relevant, that means that they're not shitcoins.
545  Economy / Economics / Re: Future occurrencies that can increase bitcoin price. on: April 29, 2024, 03:46:47 PM
Basically what can increase the price of Bitcoin will be mass adoption, if countries where it's restricted will remove the restrictions and also countries where it's banned will unban it, and if it's been used more as a digital cash to make payments, instead of just hodling it.

Any evidence to back that up?
So far I can see more and more people use other Crypto to pass those on.
Reason being the fee, the time bitcoin takes.
The focus of the thread is on Bitcoin, and the future occurrences that can increase it's price, and these factors above that you quote are the few that I could come up with.

Ofcourse there are alternative means of sending Bitcoin to other wallet addresses, and there are other coins that can be used alternatively when Bitcoin transaction fees is high, but the point is that the thread is specifically talking about Bitcoin and it's price increase in the future.
546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How has Satoshi's identity never been revealed ? on: April 29, 2024, 03:00:12 PM
Satoshi Nakamoto, was or is a genius, and before creating Bitcoin, he knew that he was going to disappear and remain anonymous, so from the onset he must have been erasing every tracks that'll reveal his identity. Bitcoin, just like this forum is all about privacy and that is what Satoshi, is all about, and I hope that he's true identity is never revealed, because it'll end this fairytale about who he truly is.

A guy was joking about Satoshi's disappearance, that he probably was a very rich fraudster, who did something good by creating Bitcoin, and going under with his wealth, that it's probably why he didn't want his identity to be known, so that the authorities will not come after him. I told the guy that he's entitled to his opinion, and no matter what anybody thinks about Satoshi Nakamoto, he has created a legacy that'll outlive most of us that are alive today.
547  Economy / Economics / Re: Future occurrencies that can increase bitcoin price. on: April 29, 2024, 01:32:05 PM
Basically what can increase the price of Bitcoin will be mass adoption, if countries where it's restricted will remove the restrictions and also countries where it's banned will unban it, and if it's been used more as a digital cash to make payments, instead of just hodling it. In basic economics concept, it's been said that when demand is greater than supply, the result will be increase in price, so if all this factors that I've mentioned are functional, then it'll drive Bitcoin price to continue to increase. However, some issues like the mempool congestion that makes Bitcoin transaction fees to skyrocket, is one of the disadvantages to the adoption of Bitcoin as a digital cash, because you can't expect to buy an item of $20 and expect to pay an amount that is equivalent to that as fee, so I wish that the Bitcoin developers will take it as a priority to remedy that stumbling block to Bitcoin adoption.
548  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falseful speculations about bitcoin predictions and its halving on: April 29, 2024, 11:58:09 AM
The crypto market is volatile and I think that it's ok to speculate their prices, even though they might not turn out to be accurate, but atleast you'll have some events or datas to give pointers on when you want to buy or sale, instead of entering the market blindly. The unique thing about Bitcoin, being the most reputable and apex crypto is that it has proven to be a store of value, and if held on a long term will always reach new ATH, meaning that the holder will never be at loss. So I can agree with the OP that if an investor is aiming to hodl Bitcoin on the long term, that they shouldn't worry about price fluctuations on the short term.
549  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRADERS are not UNEMPLOYED on: April 29, 2024, 09:55:50 AM
Crypto trading is a job, just like any other jobs that a person does that they make profit or earn salaries from, these includes whether you're self employed or an employee. The only difference is if the money that comes in from the job is able to take care of the person's responsibilities, if not then the person might be compelled to quit, then get a better one or get a side job to earn more money.

Why I don't consider crypto trading as a full time job is because of the risks involved, it has some attributes of gambling, where you don't know how the market will swing anyday you enter trading, infact you're not in control of the market. What happens when you consistently encounter loses over a period of time, who'll take care of your responsibilities? I think that every responsible trader should have another source of steady income, so when they make profit in trading, it becomes a plus to their total income.
550  Other / Politics & Society / Re: France russia war soon on: April 29, 2024, 09:17:39 AM
Probably one of the hidden reasons why there are bad relations between France and Russia, has to do with Africa calling Russia in and kicking France out - https://duckduckgo.com/?q=france+in+africa&ia=web.  Of course, the US is getting kicked out of Africa, too - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5382794.msg64006008#msg64006008.

Cool
Your comment is a new angle to the rift between France and Russia, because this could be the underlying reason for these two giant countries faceoff. I know that France, is a democratic country, but most of the countries that they colonized are far from practicing true democracy, you'd see that most of these countries have one presidents that are ruling them for decades. People say that France, is the reason why this is, because they'll make sure that it's presidents that'll be loyal to them that'll be in power in those countries. People also say that Russia, has come to liberate these countries that France, has been taking all their natural resources, and this is why France is not happy with Russia.
551  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it advisable for a beginner to invest in a newly launch project? on: April 29, 2024, 07:40:22 AM
Every experienced forum member will definitely say NO to newbies investing in newly launched projects, even the existing ones should be properly researched before investing in them, because there are more scam projects than legit ones. For beginners without experience, they should just stick to the most reputable cryptocurrency which is Bitcoin, then if they want to go a step further in their investment, let them buy top altcoins that have proven their reputations in the crypto market, anything aside from these categories are risky to invest in, unless the newbie wants to gamble their funds.
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange Lending might be a way to reduce unnecessary Defi fee on: April 29, 2024, 06:36:21 AM
I've been hearing about crypto loan and I wonder why someone will want a crypto loan, perhaps to use it to invest in a project or as a digital cash, the concept is still quite confusing to me.

My question is what will a person use the crypto loan for? Considering that cryptos are very volatile, it's very easy to lose your funds in a scam project or a shitcoin, unless the person is perhaps buying Bitcoin with the loan. I'll appreciate clarification on the essence of crypto loans.
553  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Multichoice new price rate on: April 28, 2024, 07:31:04 PM
Nothing de surprise me again for dis country, especially as e concern constant price increase of goods and services, so dis multichoice matter na part of normal thing for di country. But where dem matter de pain me pass be say we no get constant electric power supply for di country, infact you go de for days make you never take your eyes see NEPA light, and how many people de switch on dem generator regularly because of high fuel price, still your DStv or gotv subscription go de run, e no de fare at all.

I no know weda stertimes, still de operate for dis country again, e don tey wey I here about dem, if dem subscription de lesser and dem de show beta channels, den people go switch to dem services. This na opportunity wey oda TV subscription companies go take di advantage show interesting channels and change small money so people go patronize dem.

If e de possible for dis TV subscription companies to de charge per minute or hours wey dem customers switch TV on, dat one for beta pass.
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any airdrop farming which also gives bitcoins in addition to original token? on: April 28, 2024, 03:57:00 PM
I believe that the essence of airdrop reward is for the developers of a project to advertise and promote their token, therefore they'll not want to distribute Bitcoin to their perticipants, because it won't add any value to the project. I observed that you've reached full member rank, hopefully you'll join a signature campaign, and they'll reward you with Bitcoin, that is another way to earn and do DCA method to accumulate and hodle Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a valuable asset that doesn't need advertisements, and you shouldn't expect to get it through airdrops.
555  Economy / Speculation / Re: Post halving investing strategy. on: April 28, 2024, 02:48:30 PM
Post halving strategy is quite simple, for me it's keep accumulating, thanks to this short term Bitcoin price dip, I know that reaching the peak of bull run can not happen on the short term, so it's accumulate and hodle. As for altcoins, I'd say do you research first before buying any of them to avoid many scam projects that'll take advantage of the bull run to scam unsuspecting investors, you can however hold reputable top altcoins, they're most likely to be bullish after Bitcoin.
556  Economy / Economics / Re: How safe is it to keep your money and gold underground? on: April 28, 2024, 01:08:02 PM
The practice of keeping valuables like money and jewelries underground to protect them from theft and misplacement was ok in the olden days, when there was no internet and there wasn't much government regulations to protect people's money in the banks. Today the bank is the safest place to keep your money, nowadays banks must have huge deposits with their central banks, Incase they go bankrupt, so customers money can be refunded back to them. Thanks to the internet, you don't have to carry physical cash around to make payments, you'll just make digital transfers, and as for the precious stuffs like gold, you can put them in safe deposits. Technology has made it possible for people not to physical keep or carry their assets, except people who don't want their money and jewelries to known by the governments.
557  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC go back to $40K - $30K range before a bigger rally? on: April 28, 2024, 12:20:52 PM
We saw a new ATH before halving, then price began to dip, and the OP created this thread asking about price speculations before the halving, whether, it'll dip between $30k to $40k, anyways halving has happened and price is still hovering around $60k to $65k, it's approximately $63k now. I think that within this range that price is now will be it's correction before it'll starts to be bullish, because it has been around this range for quite a long time without any further significantly dip. But this is the crypto space, anything can happen and we can see a significant dump or pump on the short term.
558  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Small general trading place? [I wouldn’t know as I’m fairly new to this] on: April 28, 2024, 10:52:43 AM
You've head what to do from experienced forum members, adhere to their advice and you'll be on the safe side in your trading journey, if you ignore and go ahead, you'll end up worse off than when you're trying to enter. So it's really easy to summarize what you should do, $1 is very insufficient to start trading, even though it's said that you should trade with the amount that you can afford to loose, you need above $10 to exchange it to crypto, considering the transaction fees, secondly while you wait to save up more money, you can start with demo trading, to gain some experience about actual trading.

Why not start with Bitcoin investment? We're entering bull run and you can be accumulating Bitcoin, instead of saving the money. In the peak of bull run, you'd have made a reasonable amount on your ROI that you can use to start trading, plus you must have mastered some experiences from your demo trading by them.
559  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hard economy reshape citizens and society positively or negatively on: April 28, 2024, 09:28:57 AM
Human beings by nature can adapt to situations and environments, so it'll surprise you that the person that's living in a mansion can survive if he finds himself in a jungle tomorrow, so many citizens finds ways to adapt in any situations that they find themselves in their countries, whether positively or negatively. But no matter the harsh living conditions in a country, some people will still find ways to take advantage of it and make their lives better, while others will accept their conditions and become poorer.

The economy of my country is very bad, but despite it, many millionaires are emerging everyday, some legitimately and others fraudulently. The most important thing for everybody to survive in the face of hardship is not to lose hope, have faith and look out for the opportunities to survive.
560  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your favourite exchange can be nowhere to be found on: April 28, 2024, 08:11:56 AM
There are more crypto exchange service companies that have gone bankrupt or have been hacked that didn't make the OP list, example is Patricia, an exchange service in my country, they built a reputation and gained investors trust, eventually they were hacked, and their investors funds are gone. One of the best lessons that I've learned on this forum is that I shouldn't leave my coins in an exchange, no matter how reputable that they are, because they can go down anyday, "not your keys, not your coins". None custodial wallet is the best option to hold your coins, because you're the sole custodian of the private keys.
