If you have your private key stored, you're perfectly fine.
You can import this any moment in any Bitcoin wallet client, make sure it is verified safe. You can find a whole list here: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet. So uninstalling won't be a problem as long as you have your private key stored. The fork can not accidentally change your BTC to BTG, the fork is a copy of Bitcoin's current blockchain which will split after 25 October. Every BTC you have now will correspond to one BTG. Both wallets will have the same private key, so make sure you import it to a verified BTG client. Otherwise your key can get stolen. A good solution for this is sending your BTC to a new wallet after 25 October and then importing the old wallet key in a BTG client. The safest wallet is just personal preference, Armory is in my opinion the safest wallet. But it is quite complicated. Electrum or Core are more user friendly.

I think Bitcoin has the most potential, just because Ethereum is even more complicated than Bitcoin.
The smart contracts are cool but how much people really understand it?
And looking at myself, I wouldn't accept a contract that I don't understand the principal of.
Besides that, Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency and already has the most media attention.

My walls aren't thick enough to block most of the noise. When I watch TV in the living room I still hear it quite loud in my bedroom. I guess I got to wait till water cooling is affordable. Because water cooled mining machines like the R4 don't seem to be worth it at this moment, unless you have free electricity.

I wanted to go into ASIC mining a couple of months ago, had a Antminer S9 in my basket and filled down my information but then I saw a video on YouTube about the noise they produce. Never thought it would be that loud, so did some tests in my study room with a device that makes an equal amount of noise and found it too loud so I canceled the order. The Avalon seems a little bit more quiet, but still too loud for the apartment I live in. The noise reducing you did seems to be going to the right direction for me. But I just hope that they will produce quieter machines in the future, so an average person can also enjoy ASIC mining.

Best way to store your Bitcoins is keeping it offline in for example a paper wallet.
After the fork you can import your keys into the forks client and claim your Bitcoins.

Ik ben eigenlijk benieuwd of je rendement haalt uit het kopen van Bitcoins of Ethereum op GDAX/BL3P en dat dan weer door te handelen naar altcoins op bijvoorbeeld Bittrex of Shapeshift. Anders wil ik dat misschien nog wel overwegen om te doen.

Everyday when I wake up I check coinmarketcap to see the prices.
Not sure if it's a routine or an addiction, because when I forget to charge my phone, I don't check the prices till it's charged.
It's not that I drastically need to get a device in my hand that's connected to the internet to see the prices.
But I remember last time when china banned ICOs, I felt so awful when I saw Bitcoin's exchange rate drastically dropping.
Now reflecting about it, I realize how bad it is and I actually need to stop with it.

Er zullen vast meer bevolkingen zijn die op hun centen zijn maar we zijn hier nu op een Nederlands board dus ik dacht ik verwijs er even naar.

En wat betreft applicaties die voorlichting geven over cryptocurrencies ben ik het wel eens maar ik denk persoonlijk niet dat zij, het publiek eerder kennismaken met altcoins dan Bitcoins. Want Bitcoin staat toch net wat meer in het daglicht dan alternatieve coins, als ik op straat zou vragen naar Litecoin zouden ze menig mens waarschijnlijk zeggen "Hé, dat is toch dat online geld Bitcoin". Ook is er over Bitcoin veel meer informatie te lezen dan alternatieve coins.

De reden dat ik Kraken aanraad is omdat het de enige exchange is die ik heb gebruikt waar SEPA betalingen mogelijk zijn.
Ook omdat ik hun website vrij overzichtelijk vind en de klantenservice je goed te hulp staat.
Niet omdat ik slechte ervaringen heb met de andere maar ik hou er niet van om dingen aan te raden waar ik zelf geen ervaring mee heb.

Bij Bitonic en Litbit verdienen ze aan de marge waarin ze aankopen en verkopen en bij een exchange verdienen ze aan de fees die gebruikers afstaan per transactie. Over het algemeen is het dan ook voordeliger om Bitcoin te verkopen via een exchange omdat die lagere fees hebben. Voor Europeanen raad ik dan ook Kraken aan, hier kan je je Bitcoins storten naar een aangeven adres, vervolgens verkopen en uit laten betalen via een SEPA betaling naar je bank.

Bitcoin is already the main or official cryptocurrency in my opinion, it is the first and most popular.
I don't see the government promoting cryptocurrency but if it would happen, Bitcoin has the most potential.
When the government finds a way to regulate cryptocurrencies they will do it, not for one crypto but for all.
There is a chance that some cryptocurrencies especially ICOs will get banned in more countries, it already happened in China and South Korea.
This will affect the price of Bitcoin positively on long term, because the demand for ICOs will drop and the demand for Bitcoin will grow because crypto enthusiasts will change their ICO tokens for coins like Bitcoin.
