543  Economy / Economics / Re: Reason why you will never become rich on: August 01, 2023, 01:09:50 PM
We will never be rich because every day our responsibilities and cost of living increase but our salaries or earnings remain the same. Unfortunately, in today's conditions it has become quite difficult to save money, let alone being rich. Especially in this order, our salaries or earnings which we can describe as insufficient, unfortunately cannot meet our daily living expenses and responsibilities. This situation causes the quality of life to decrease or  using the previous savings. In addition, due to the fact that many investment instruments have turned into financial traps today unfortunately it has become very difficult to make money by investing. For this reason, I think that we will never be rich and unfortunately our quality of life will decrease a little bit every day.
544  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think selling your property is better than taking loan? on: July 25, 2023, 06:40:51 PM
When you need money it doesn't matter which method you use about how to meet this need. However, to give a logical answer;

If a product or asset is in surplus for me I prefer to meet my financial need by selling it because having a surplus product or asset means that it is not really necessary for me. However, if the property I product or asset to sell is something that I use or is not surplus to, I definitely think that borrowing money would be a better solution. Although it is possible to sell an asset or product and then buy it again to meet the need for money, if I have an option to borrow it will definitely be an easier and more attractive way to borrow.

On the other hand, as a credit card holder of a currency that rapidly depreciates in the face of inflation it has become a more logical option for me to borrow without thinking, especially in today's conditions. Since my salary is paid in euros it is definitely a very advantageous and lucrative option for me to spend or borrow money as I mentioned even in the short term or long term.

546  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is making a mess of my savings. on: July 24, 2023, 06:21:00 PM
It is understandable not to have any savings due to health problems, health comes before everything else and as long as you are capable of paying for your medical bills, that alone is good enough and I wish you a speed recovery to your full health. Do not aim at saving some money when you are facing these troubles, that would only give you more stress, if you are incapable of saving money but capable of saving yourself, that is a much better thing and you should do that if possible.

Of course the situation is that we are talking about something that is a bit challenging, and that's why it's going to take a bit of time and we are not going to end up with a situation where it's going to be easy. So take that with grain of salt. You could have troubles, but ignore the responsibilities for now, only focus on health.

The reason why I don't have any savings due to health problems is because I have to spend almost all my savings on my health problems. Health comes first of course and for this reason I spent all my savings in the process I mentioned to improve this health problem. Do I regret it? Of course not because my state of health has almost reached the level it was before this period and now I feel much better.

Saving, of course, causes intense stress but in this world where we don't know what we will experience the next day in case of possible health problems and similar needs, it is also very important to focus and determine a roadmap for ourselves in order to be able to spend comfortably.

Of course, my main focus of attention in the last few months has been my health but it is also very important to save money in order to ensure my future and to avoid financial difficulties in the next possible health problem. I'm trying to determine a roadmap how I can save money without stress.

Some people living in other countries will choose to save foreign currency to maintain financial stability compared to the local country's currency, if you are based in a European country then this solution is not effective because the European region is more dominant for EUR options, but the current EUR conditions are not so convincing for savings after the impact of inflation. An alternative solution is recommended to convert savings into gold, after reviewing that gold guarantees the best stability compared to any currency to avoid the effects of inflation, gold is also easy to exchange at any time if you need to use savings funds.

I hope your health is fine, we have to survive no matter what the current inflation conditions are but you are lucky to have a savings fund for emergency needs, I hope your health will recover soon so you can be active again and we must take advantage of other opportunities that have the potential to increase our finances.

I have been living in Europe for the last two years but before that I was living in a country which is currency was unstable and depreciated rapidly. For this reason, in order to protect the purchasing power of my salary and savings I preferred foreign currencies (USD, EUR and GBP in general) and converted them into my own country's currency if I needed it. In today's conditions I don't need to choose a different currency since I live in a country that uses Euro and I try to make my savings in Euro. Of course, there is a decrease in my purchasing power due to inflation but this is not a disturbing situation as it is not as much as in my own country. After the completion of my debts, I plan to keep my savings by converting them into commodities, stocks and proven cryptocurrencies with very saving little cash.

Speaking about my health, I can say that I have recovered quite a bit lately and I'm much better than before. Spending almost all of my previous savings on health can be a bit frustrating but having a fund that I can use for my health problems has definitely helped me go through this process with less stress. My goal right now as I mentioned, will be to pay off all of the debt remaining from these expenses and then create capital for myself and use it in the opportunities that I will come across in the financial markets.

How are you guys pulling it through with this inflation?

Especially when I lived in a country with very high inflation I used to convert my savings into foreign currency (USD, EUR or GBP in general) in order to protect them. This is a good method that individuals living in countries with very high inflation often do and can maintain their purchasing power a little but today, strong currencies also lose their value in the face of inflation. For this reason, saving cash is no longer the logical and lucrative option it used to be.

I am currently living in a European country but unfortunately I cannot say that I have been able to save in any way due to my debts due to my health problems and my low salary. For this reason, at this stage I can say that I don't save in any way so that my savings do not lose value.

550  Local / Alternatif Kripto-Paralar / Re: Tüm coinleri toplayın , Bir XRP kadar olamadılar on: July 16, 2023, 06:16:39 PM
551  Local / Türkçe (Turkish) / Re: Trade Botlarına Güvenmemelisiniz on: July 14, 2023, 05:34:25 PM

552  Local / Alternatif Kripto-Paralar / Re: Hepimiz yatırımcıyız ama nasıl? on: July 14, 2023, 02:00:24 PM

554  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you prefer to own a luxury watch or invest in bitcoin or other assets? on: July 13, 2023, 05:32:57 PM
If we buy a luxury watch for $ 1 million now and 3 years later we need money then if we sell it maybe it can drop to $ 50k or less, but if we buy bitcoin worth $ 1 million now then it can have a chance to be $ 10 million in 3 years.

It is not really a good thing to make a comparison in this way because every product or investment asset is susceptible to gain or lose value. Of course, the watch cannot be considered as an investment tool in general but due to the high demand for luxury watches and the increasing value of these watches over time we can consider luxury watches as an investment tool.

I would like to add something for the scenario you mentioned;

Imagine you bought a luxury watch worth $1 million and Bitcoin worth $1 million today. At the end of 3 years, let the clock be valued as 150% and Bitcoin be valued as 180%. Let's assume that you need money and want to meet this need with one of these two investments. Switching to cash by selling Bitcoin will be much easier than selling luxury watches because of the demand. In the case of the opposite scenario, it will be easier to sell Bitcoin, even if both investments have lost value.

In summary, every investment carries a risk and has a potential for gain depending on this risk. The important thing is to choose the right investment as well as to realize the investment that can be traded or turned into cash as quickly as possible.
555  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you prefer to own a luxury watch or invest in bitcoin or other assets? on: July 13, 2023, 12:26:38 PM
If I had enough money I would love to have a luxury watch collection but I would never prefer it over Bitcoin. Rich people mainly collect watches as a hobby and not necessarily as an investment that will generate them significant returns. A luxury item is not something that is really a necessity for anyone but there will always be a need for censorship resitant, decentralized money. Bitcoin being more accessible and having greater utility make it the better investment option.

Owning a luxury watch collection is certainly a pretty cool thing. The reason why many rich people do this is both because it is a hobby and because watches with collectible value become more valuable as time goes by. On the other hand, the fact that luxury watches are used for money laundering actually provides a very good advantage for many people who have serious wealth. These people can transfer their wealth from one country to another through luxury watches without any hindrance. In addition, the biggest advantage of luxury watches is that they are among the assets that cannot be seized in case of any lien. Of course, I don't know if this is a valid law in all countries but in many countries wearable accessories such as watches cannot be sequestered, so luxury watches help protect the existing wealth in case of a possible lien.
However, luxury watches have a lower market share to be able to buy and sell for their price and it is quite difficult to trade such products or sell them with high profit margins especially in poor countries.
556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first experience with gambling? on: July 12, 2023, 08:05:06 PM
Can you share your first experience playing gambling? and who told you about gambling sites?

As I mentioned in a similar topic before, the reason for my interest in gambling was due to the fact that my country is a casino paradise. Many of the services offered in the casinos and the fact that it is very easy to physically access the casinos to gamble caused me to have a lot of curiosity about gambling. Although my first gambling experience started with sports betting than I used to go to casinos with certain frequencies and play various games there. Due to the fact that I had such various advantages it was a little late to get my first online gambling experience. When I was going to gamble online I did not get any advice from anyone around me and after researching the websites I discovered myself I started gambling here. The reason why I chose to gamble online was that I couldn't leave the house at certain times and I wanted to gamble for fun.
557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What attracted you to gambling?Share your experience whether good/bad. on: July 12, 2023, 02:36:00 PM
The reason why gambling attracted my attention in the first is that the country I live in is a gambling paradise. Also, although it was risky my gambling habit started because it was possible to make money easily from gambling during my student years. Although I did not lose all my savings or large sums of money in gambling, I had this bad habit. Afterwards, I learned to control myself and gambling became just a means of entertainment for me. I continue to gamble at certain intervals especially since the food, beverage and cigarette services are free in the casinos in my own country. Generally, the amount I spend for gambling covers the service I receive in the casino and I have fun for free.

Considering all this gambling history and my current gambling habit it is possible to say that gambling was a bad habit for me at first but now it is nothing more than just a recreational tool.
558  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you prefer to own a luxury watch or invest in bitcoin or other assets? on: July 12, 2023, 01:01:55 PM
If given the choice, would you prefer to own a luxury watch or invest in bitcoin, digital assets, gold, stocks, or real estate?

A luxury watch has a market with fewer buyers due to both its price and being a hard-to-reach thing. In addition, it is not a product that can be preferred by everyone depending on the purpose of the person who will buy a luxury watch. On the other hand, it needs more capital due to its price. Cryptocurrencies, digital assets, commodities and stocks are investment instruments that have more buyers and are much more accessible for many people. For this reason, it is much easier to invest in them with low capital to trade and access them more easily during trading. In addition, since it is possible to buy these financial products in fractional or in very small amounts it is always possible to trade easily within the supply-demand balance.

The return on investment also varies depending on the risk potential of the investment. For this reason, investments in luxury watches, cryptocurrencies, digital assets, commodities or stocks should be preferred in comparison to the return they will provide.
559  Economy / Economics / Re: Has the popularity of bitcoins reduced interest of people in stocks? on: July 11, 2023, 08:19:04 PM
Stocks give like 20-30% returns in an year but bitcoin and other crypto coins can give this much return in just one day. At such, do you think that increasing popularity of bitcoin has reduced interest of people in stocks.

I think in some countries, people are really shifting to crypto only and most of their investment portfolio is in the form of crypto instead of stocks. The awareness related to crypto is increasing day by day and this more people are getting included in this crowd. Stocks on the other hand become saturated, people have realized that these stocks are not as much profitable as bitcoins. Also, there are other benefits of bitcoins like it can be used for transactions. This cannot be done with stocks.

Although no financial instrument offers a guarantee of earnings, it has the potential to earn depending on the risk ratio it carries. Cryptocurrencies provide more earning potential due to their higher risk compared to stocks and therefore attract investors. Due to the changing financial market and investor profile in today's conditions it has managed to attract more attention than stocks.
The biggest reason why investors prefer cryptocurrencies instead of stocks is of course that it has more earning potential in a shorter term. To make a general assessment I think that cryptocurrencies alone do not have enough potential to cause a decrease in interest in stocks.
560  Economy / Economics / Re: The precondition for knowing when the Federal Reserve stops raising rates on: July 11, 2023, 01:30:36 PM
Yes they will raise rates and they want moderate unemployment and not high unemployment. We get high unemployment and they will have to cut rates to stimulate economy and we will repeat this entire cycle in a few years and this time we will get double digit inflation and bread will cost $10 a loaf. This is not the answer.

We need employment to slow down so we can get some stability in inflation which we don’t have now.
Inflation will bottom next month and then it’ll keep going up and most likely end at 4-5% which is nowhere near 2% target.

Increasing the unemployment rate by raising interest rates will certainly not be a correct solution. Although the households will spend less in case of an increase in the unemployment rate, the production problems and insufficiency that may occur due to unemployment will also cause the households to spend more. In addition, if the unemployment rate increases people will only spend more limitedly and will not avoid paying a price above their value for the products they need.

Although inflation seems to be under control now compared to last year, I think it has not reached a completely controllable level. For this reason, it will be very difficult to achieve the 2% target set in the short-term period. Is the base effect or is it a different reason that you think that the inflation rate will decrease next month?
