541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My altcoins are down... by a lot on: November 21, 2018, 06:54:04 AM
Hi,
So I’ve invested a bit of money into altcoins about a year ago, and did a bit of trading but then slowly lost the track of it... Until today, where I found my ledger in my closet and decided to give it another look.
So here I am now looking at my coins , and thinking on what to do... Hold on? Sell?...
I’ve got:

KMD EDG MSP

I’m down about 60% of my investment.

Any advice is appreciated!

EDIT: Yeah my entries are all super high tbh haha

EDIT 2:I’ve got quite a bit of faith in MSP & KMD Not sure about EDG though
Do not worry about your altcoins that are down, worry yourself more on the altcoins you should be picking the more as the altcoins are basically down right now. One thing you need to understand is that this is a very volatile market, and there is a great chance that the market will always recover, so in that case, where do you want to find yourself when the market is recovering? Enjoying the great benefit of the profit from the market moving up after you have bought the dip or selling now and then seeing yourself getting screwed and frustrated as you see the market recovering. The choice is always in your hands.
542  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Falling Down? Is it The end ? on: November 21, 2018, 06:20:48 AM
That's one of the things that traders must be aware of, when bitcoin drops dramatically and impacts on altcoin. Even today I still don't believe bitcoin is declining very quickly $5700. Something sad, but I'm sure the market will still grow.
Rather than being worried, I will say what you should be doing now is to basically be looking forward to the possibilities of managing to pick the prices at the bottom because one way or the other, a particular trend will never last forever.

The same way we get to see a lot of people getting to panic for no reason and then selling at loss, is the same way we get to see some people taking advantage of it, knowing that in any case, the market is actually a good one for them to be accumulating at this point. A lot of people do not always know that, and that is the reason they tend to miss out eventually.
543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Need To Put Your Emotion in Trading ? on: November 21, 2018, 05:49:58 AM
Our emotions are part of the decisions we’ve made in life specially when this will effect our financial aspect and this investment is not far from that
As a starting trader i am using another strategy ,not just TA and speculative instead i am putting my instincts when deciding, and luckily i am successful in my so far trading, though i know theres no permanent winning in this riskiest area of profiteering
Well, as much as I can agree with the fact that our emotions are part of the decisions we have made in life, there are just some things in this life that does not really require emotions.

One thing for sure, is that it is a part of every human to be emotional when it comes to a lot of things, but when it comes to things that has to do with professionalism, you really do not need your emotions, as you need your knowledge to execute plans effectively rather than letting your emotions overrule you.

A lot of traders’ today trade with emotions because they have no single idea what they are doing, and with that, there is actually no level of preaching that would stop them from being emotional.
544  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Botting v manual trading on: November 21, 2018, 05:16:38 AM
Everything strategy for trading have advantages and disadvantages.  Your job as a trader is to use the most advantageous strategy at you disposal or combine different positive side of each strategy. Botting could be good or bad,  manual could be slow and steady!
In most cases, manual seems to just be the best way to handle trades. I am not saying using bots cannot be promising at times, but when it comes to bots, there is always a season for it and if you still do not try to keep some lookout into the market, to know when to get your bots activated or not, you might get yourself screwed.

Like you said, what is most important is to have a good strategy and then know how to execute them, and if you have a pretty good one, bots will always help you execute them well without emotions or discretion, but you still need not get too relaxed.
545  Economy / Economics / Re: Markets See Massive Sell-Off, Bitcoin Dips Below $5,600 for the First Time 2018 on: November 20, 2018, 06:05:34 AM
Don't be too pessimistic, the cryptocurrency market is still immature. The decline at this time is related to the competition between the two major mines. When the war subsides, the cryptocurrency will gradually rise. This is the best way for investors to wait patiently.
I still think these are great prices and even if it falls further it is still great time to buy because the price is as cheap as it gets for the past year or so. When something hits under the past 365 day mark it is either going down so low that it won't be fixed for a long time or even vanish OR it will go higher very quickly to correct itself. I am one of those people who believe the market will eventually correct itself, it can't  stay like this as long as people keep buying.

In order to keep the price at these levels the sellers have to keep on selling at these cheap prices and only people who are stupid enough to do it are the hashwar guys and panic sellers. Hashwar guys will eventually stop, they have to because they will have no money left if they continue like this and of course panic sellers are limited and will be over, probably even ended now.
546  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trading, ICO, Lending, Bounty. Which one should I do ? on: November 20, 2018, 05:28:00 AM
Dear friend,
So far, I know for kind of earning money from bitcoin and altcoins.
I start trading when bitcoin 17000. until now, I lost a haft of money.
ICO I have win any ICO. But  I did not invest to much.
Lending I think have not join anyone. But I think in the first time you can get profit from lending. But no more later.
And now, bounty, I still reading and research information about it. No one help or support. One day, hundreds of campaign public. But dont know which one scam or good.
I am distempered. Need more advice from you here Smiley

They are all good and there is every possibility that you can do all of them. There is nothing much to do in lending, all you’ve got to do is find a good project and lend your money to them and hope for when they will return it with the profit you have made on top. As for trading, it requires a lot of training cause if you just jump into it without training, you will just end up losing your money.

Then as for ICO, I don’t really need to talk about it cause you know how it works. Same as bounties, if you’re good enough in managing your time, you can do all these and make bigger than you will do while relying on one only.

hi all iam new here and new in bitcoin world
iam an old in my family my father us past way
 and hope to get successful
i need to learn and be good to get money
please help me and give me more advice to stand on my foot and help my family and built my future
i hope to find good people to advice me and help me too
God bless All

Instead of coming to the forum to beg for who will help you, I think it would be better for you to grab some free food opportunities that cryptocurrency space has to offer. Why not check out free airdrops? There are lots of good airdrops out there and when you refer people they even pay you money, you can earn money by referring your friends to earn and when they sign up with your link you also get paid.

You can even go for bounties and work very hard and it will really pay off at last. There are lots of things you can do online, you just have to make use your senses, that’s all it takes. You can help your family out of poverty if you make up your mind and decide to work very hard, situations never remain the same.
548  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Nothing v manual trading on: November 17, 2018, 06:03:20 AM
Well, in theory, that could definitely work. But of course, the actual challenge there is picking the right ones, which is probably a lot harder than you think.

Also, remember that when the cryptocurrency markets crashes, altcoins usually tend to crash in bigger percentages. So if you were to continue on with this strategy, probably start on with small amounts first just to test things out. Best of luck.

Yes, picking the right coins to get double in price would be so hard. And mostly when we are in the wrong decisions, we already buy and hold a coin but the price didn't show the good trend, we could change our first plan. In trading, everything looks easier at plan but honestly, it will become complicated as we start to make some actions.
The truth of it all is that you cannot know the right coin. Even in the midst of the market recovery, some coins will do well, some will just move a little bit and some will not move at all, as I have been there and that is why you really just need to choose some few markets that you can spread the risk across, and know they are not more than you can handle at once, and then try to look for a good entry based on some signals and your strategy and then see how that would play out. One thing is that in most cases, you will still get to make profit on recovery but most importantly, just make sure you are not just trading some shit coins.
549  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Treat trading as your job on: November 17, 2018, 05:24:21 AM
cryptocurrency trading and being a participant from the bounty campaign I now make the main job I do because I still have not got a job in the office, when I got a job in the office maybe I would consider trading as my second job.

It is ok for you to be fully involve in trading and crypto currencies as you do not have job now. But for those who are doing a regular job should not leave the job for crypto trading. I have seen many people left their jobs earlier this year only to gain much more profit from trading, but they end up in a loss as the bear market has so long now.
Your advice is wrong. For someone who doesn’t have a job I would advise them to go look for a job, cause that’s definitely the best thing he or she can do for themselves. And by the way, if he doesn’t have a job, then where is he going to get money to invest and trade cryptocurrency? He should first get a job and when he starts earning enough, he can then consider crypto trading and study it too. When it starts working for you and he’s sure he can live a life with it, then he can quit his job and focus on it full-time.
550  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most Promising Cryptocurrencies to Invest in 2019 on: November 17, 2018, 04:51:04 AM
i don't see anything changing in 2019 compared to previous years so my investment plan is still the same as it has always been. buying bitcoin only as an "investment" and only using altcoins as short term trading tools to make more profit on the bitcoins that i bought.
as for ETH i have it under observation to see if they are going to pump it or not because of the fork and the hype that it is is receiving these days but i won't busy myself with it because that would mean losing opportunity to make huge profits elsewhere as other coins are getting pumped left and right.
That’s true, nothing is going to change, the top coins we have now will still remain the top coins in 2019. Bitcoin is always a good coin to buy and I believe that next year or so there will be a huge increase on the price of Bitcoin: Bitcoin is even likely to triple by next year and I’m very sure of that.

Next coin that is worth investing is Ethereum, despite the price is down now, it will also increase later. Another one is Ripple, I wouldn’t have miss out on that one too cause it will surely grow. The way Ripple is moving, it is likely to overtake ETH.
551  Economy / Economics / Re: What should I choose on: November 16, 2018, 06:12:38 AM
Hi guys, I just graduated from college and wanted to have a better income but didn't know what to do. I want to find a solution to get around this situation. There are just friends who invite businesses to provide income, and there are also those who invite to invest in cryptocurrencies. If you are in my position and faced with these 2 choices, which one will you choose:
1. Invest in cryptocurrencies
2. Opening a real business

Give me the reason why you choose between the one above

regards
Let’s say that you invest your money in cryptocurrency and you happen to lose it, what would you do next? Investment is risky, so I will advise you to open a good business that you’re sure will make you money.

And if you’re opening a business you should know if it’s really going to succeed in your location (open a business that will succeed in your location) when you open business and make some money, then divide the money and invest half in cryptocurrency and invest the other half back to your business.
552  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks must adopt new technologies to survive an ongoing “extinction phase” on: November 16, 2018, 05:41:51 AM
When you think all banks around the world with adopt blockchain technology? Or this will not happen too soon?
In my opinion, things are not so simple as they look like in the form of theory. There are millions of banks around the world and the US federal bank is one of the powerful one which work to maximize the profit and at times of need, assist the government. A cryptocurrency concept will not be so strong to disrupt the banking system though the small banks do fear the system.

I do agree that banks must adapt technologies but do not think for a while that they cannot survive without the cryptocurrency. The banking network is very strong and this cannot be out kicked so easily.
553  Economy / Economics / Re: Are fiat currencies necessary in the world? on: November 16, 2018, 05:11:00 AM
Fiat have been use since the start of commerce and its been used extensively throughout the history of mankind. Long before the cryptocurrencies are created, fiat is the main currency of the world and majority of the people are using it in their daiky transactions. It still necessary to use fiat because majority of merchants still depend on it and they don't often need to go online to use it or perform some transactions. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are for the ones who know how to use internet.
Even people who know how to use the internet still won't guarantee them to transact using cryptocurrency. People who use crypto are only those who have enthusiasm and know about crypto in general, so with the majority that happens, of course, fiat currency is still very much needed.
Of course fiat is very important in the world and without the presence of a connecting link that is internet in the world; it is not worth investing in cryptocurrency.

In the absence of this important service, you have to rely only on the fiat in the world and even when Bitcoin was not launched, fiat was the only currency that was in circulation in the market. So it is no doubt very important that fiat is important but the addition of Bitcoin in the market is another great entry that is worth mentioning.

A lot of people here don’t get he’s saying, He means that he needs financial help. To the op: to be sincere I don’t think anyone here is going to send money to a stranger they don’t know, no one even knows if it’s scam or not. I will advise you to get a job in your country and work hard to earn money for feeding your family instead of wasting time in cryptocurrency.

But if later you happen to come up with enough money then you can choose to invest it in cryptocurrency and be making extra income from it. That’s the best thing you can do now. But if you keep searching for who will send you free money I don’t think anyone here is ready to do that, so try to be creative.
555  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Purchasing Bitcoin in person? on: November 15, 2018, 05:09:14 AM
I was wondering if it's possible to purchase bitcoins in person? Anywhere in the world? Something that wouldn't leave financial records of my purchases? Making a deposit too would be good. Would anyone else be interested in it?

I do that in my country. Ever since I started making use of Bitcoin I have never bought it from exchanges, I usually buy in person. There are lots of local exchanges where I live, people that stays in stores and you can walk up to them face to face and buy as much Bitcoin as you want from them and they will just send it to you, straight to your wallet.

That way nobody knows if you bought a Bitcoin or not, all they know is that an amount was from one address to another and that’s it. When I want to sell I also do the same and get the money paid into my account by these people. I have even become friends with them and trust them to the extent I don’t have to meet them in person for transaction.
556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How a trader should deal with the stress? on: November 14, 2018, 06:11:23 AM
Take a break for a week or two then start afresh. If you change your schedule a bit then you wouldn't feel much stress. Another thing you can do is to go for a longer period of trading which is less stressful.
Yes, it’s much better to go for a long-term trade, you wouldn’t have to stress yourself out much, you can even set stop-loss and go handle other things while your trade handles itself.

Some people will even prefer to make use of bots, although not all of them are reliable (difficult to find a good trade bot). I understand what the op was trying to build, a site for those that wants to meditate for a few minutes. Have seen a lot of similar sites and apps lately.
557  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you ever wonders why we are using this paper as money? on: November 14, 2018, 05:37:33 AM
Just want to share the details about the people who ever thinks that why we need to use just paper as currency and we all are working hard to get those paper.People claiming that bitcoin is not virtual so it cannot be considered as money or they call it as scam or ponzi but they are using just papers for centuries and those paper currency were made out of thin air.
Sometimes before you post something just try to reason it properly. Some people claim that paper money is one of the main transmitter of diseases, but they never get to ask themselves what the world was using before paper money was introduced.

Technology is everywhere now and there are smartphones, so you don’t really have to carry your money around if you choose, but that still doesn’t change the fact that we need paper money. Technology can only be a way to make things quick in some cases.
558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: does ethereum end? on: November 14, 2018, 05:05:07 AM
Hi, friends. Ethereum looks really bad today. 200 $ lower than in September 2017, do you think it will recover with the crypto market? Or is this the end of ethereum?
It will recover with time. That’s how it has always been, and now is back up to $200 again and above that. I can’t tell what causes volatility to be much in cryptocurrencies but normally we all say it is because of demand and supply. Another thing that can confuse you the most is when the whole market is moving the same direction as Bitcoin: they all get pumped when Bitcoin is pumped and drops when Bitcoin drops. But I’m hoping for bull soon or later.
559  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bots, AI Bots or signals? on: November 13, 2018, 06:01:05 AM
Hello, I would like to start trading, I am not expert, so maybe the best what I can do is to buy bots which will trade for me.
Do you have some good experience with some bots? Could you kindly recommend me some? Are there some fully automatic trading bots that are trading and earning without any knowledge?
And what about signals? I thought someone here, who is selling signals from 400 channels.
Thank you for your help, I will be your referral if you give me a great tip.

You can't do that without the knowledge and insight in crypto trading,
it's not like when you trade in forex or something. in essence, knowledge, experience and analysts are a must that traders have.

That basic knowledge is one thing a lot of people tend to overlook and that has seriously affected their approach to the market generally. You cannot thrive well in this space without having to learn basically all the things you need to and then practicing to see how well you get. Relying on bots, signals or AI is a wrong move.

One thing I have learned over the years is that I can only trust my own judgment and as long as I am able to keep emotion aside, be confident with my strategy and execute it, then I am better off. However, there is no way you can have a strategy without having knowledge first.
560  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best exchange for a new crypto investor? on: November 13, 2018, 05:28:25 AM
For a beginner, I would recommend

Coinbase for US
Bitstamp for EU

They have both great liquidity and the main currencies. However, they don't support many alternative cryptocurrencies.

Many people mention Binance in this thread. However, I wouldn't call that a beginner friendly platform. They do offer a lot of functions but they do not support fiat deposits at all.

If you are looking for more cryptocurrencies and also the possibility to deposit fiat I would check Kraken.

You can read deep reviews about all these exchanges at Cryptocoinzone.

http://www.cryptocoinzone.com/

I would actually assume that when it comes to the new exchange to think of firstly, binance should always come to mind most of the time. I am sure if you have done some research on some reviews on binance, you really will not need to be asking if someone has had experience with binance or not.

Because this is one exchange that has been able to show itself approved in the space, and has obviously been the most used for most traders and investors in the crypto space for a lot of reasons when it comes to its great features and experience compared to other platforms.
