541  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 2TH/s, Batch 1 on Sale this week, shipping before Sept. Ends on: September 19, 2014, 02:48:59 AM
My guess is 1.9 to 2.4 for s4

That is good price, I would buy. But seeing BTC drop to $400 level I dont think that would be the case..

LOL so whats your goal? to make some money? Ok i get that. But why mining? oh because its like printing money.... ok i got that too.... But why BTC price drop means you wont make money? .... oh.... i get this, because you never believe in bitcoin and the technology.

If you're speculating on the price, may as well do it right, speculative trading.

542  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 2TH/s, Batch 1 on Sale this week, shipping before Sept. Ends on: September 19, 2014, 12:22:42 AM
I feel sorry for bitcoin community, especially for the miners. They mine and want to support btc so they hold, but they got tricked into an arm race (competing with the miner manufacturers) they must "spend" all their mined coins to "upgrade".
Sometimes I wonder if I'm one of the only (now) smaller miner that actually doesn't spend all of their mined coin on HW.  I have a very nice BTC stash and invest a marginal fraction into new HW.  I also don't buy anything new until I've recouped the initial outlay on my current HW.   It almost reminds me of all the drug dealers I knew in my teenage years.  All of them making so much money, rolling around in expensive cars partying their asses off.  Well, at the end of the day when that gig is up, all of them are broke.  Not a single one saved even a small percentage of the money they "earned".  They could have been set for a long time if they hadn't been so quick to buy new a Mercedes and bottles of Grey Goose at the bar.  How many miners are in this exact same cycle?

Thus in the end, all the money go into manufacturer's pockets. Meanwhile, these farms are dumping coins and price keeps going down.
Yes, and people here keeping feeding the beast.  There are a few exceptions to the rule, but watching people shoot themselves in the foot to buy 5 10 20 new miners because "OMG NEW!" is both entertaining and saddening.

The worse part? bitcoiners keep getting into this mining scheme. I hope one day, they will know that the bitcoin economy is leaking and hardware vendors are getting richer (in fiat money). Bitcoin price can drop to single digit, and i'm sure there are still idiots out there buying miners.

+1

It only makes sense to use all your earnings if your building up a farm, thats what i have done, but i have also taken out a few btc for "pleasure" i.e. taking the wife on a vacation which did wonders to the question about electricity use, noise, and heat... but now that its colder outside, she also sees a benefit from the heat :-D

i have a stash, and ive bought everything i have with bitcoins (except my first S1, but those coins i have recouped and taken back into my fiat account).

so building up a farm here, and all from my initial investment in 1 antminer S1
(running 3x S1 + 2x S3 + awaiting arrival of 3x S1 upgrades)

Sorry to tell you, thats not a farm my friend.

I will save you some wasted times: You're in UK, you're not gonna make any money by mining.

Because I am in the UK? I rent a property from a friend and I am fortunate enough not to have to pay for electricity.

I understand the current difficulty, but I would still like to give it a go.

Yes, even with free electrity....(btw dont call your landlord a friend when you're clearly ripping him off).

I've seen suckers like you come and leave so many times.

4 months from now, you will become a hater and troll this forum.....Use that money and spend or invest into something you really care about.
544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are People Still Care about Bitcoin? on: September 18, 2014, 10:43:40 PM
I'm sorry your scam coins didnt work out.

You dont have to come here and repeating the same shit . We get it, you invested heavily into altcoins. Can you just hang around in AltCoin section,? this is "Bitcoin Discussion".

What a joke you are.

As if you know what I have invested in and not invested in.

We are discussing Bitcoin as it relates to Alt coins, so this is technically a "Bitcoin Discussion". If you don't like it, get bent.

The joke is on you.

oh of course i dont "know" but its evidently enough from your constant..... Altcoins are better yo!

Yeah bitcoin discussion is where you come in and say, bitcoin will die because there are altcoins that "i believe" is better while you cant even say what better is.

Let me guess..... you cant mine bitcoin profitable anymore?
Jokes are still on you. Now go look at your Altcoins fortune and be happy.
545  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 18, 2014, 10:37:05 PM
Come on Guy, put everybody out of their misery by letting us know what you'll have to ship in January, or at least where you think the market will be in early 2015.

I'll take anything that will ship in January from SP-Tech!

No surprise, you can also suck any dicks at SP-Tech too

 Roll Eyes
546  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 2TH/s, Batch 1 on Sale this week, shipping before Sept. Ends on: September 18, 2014, 10:30:52 PM
When one orders from bitmaintech, is there a choice of shipping options / couriers?
You can choose UPS, DHL or EMS (not sure I have the last one right but it is the chinese mail service like USPS)

Are they all a two day service?

I am in the UK and wondering if the machine was to cost just over BTC3
how much would the custom / duties be per S4?

I will save you some wasted times: You're in UK, you're not gonna make any money by mining.

If you want to gamble, buy lottery ticket.
547  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 18, 2014, 10:29:29 PM
If I photoshopped Spondoolies over Cointerra, it would look very similar to products I have from you.   Are you two working together in any way?
Since we have mutual NDA between the companies, I can't answer in any way.
I'll just say that it's absurd to deduct it based on a "Q1" product page. I've noticed the similarity also and was amused.

But come on, read the product description. Do you see us shipping without embedded controller?

Just tell us if this is a good buy or no.

I got tons of bitcoins to donate.

Still think these wont be sold at loss?

549  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cointerra AIRE Miner 16nm PreOrder on: September 18, 2014, 10:19:31 PM
Cointerra contacted me early on to develop a driver for their 28nm offer. However I've heard and know precisely nothing about this new offering.
Pls for the sake of the community and your reputation. Dont work with them ever, they're probably gonna use your name to attract more newbies.

550  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 18, 2014, 10:07:37 PM
Guy, you must have an opinion on this:
http://cointerra.com/product/aire-miner-bitcoin-miner/

What are the chances that CoinTerra can deliver 16nm on spec and to the timeline stated?
Under NDA with Cointerra and TSMC.
I'll just state that the product and page looks familiar somehow  Smiley

Do your research and learn from the past. Q1 sounds familiar also.

Thanks, thats awesome.

I think these has been selling like hot cakes (ppl dumping their coins because of this).

I just order 25 of them. Cant wait  Cool
551  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Cointerra AIRE Miner 16nm PreOrder on: September 18, 2014, 10:04:27 PM
Wow, Suckers/idiots dont deserve to have any money, so guys.... pls order. I want it sold out within 48hrs!
552  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price manipulation going on right now at the big exchanges on: September 18, 2014, 09:34:52 PM
Miners dumping and/or retailers dumping (by proxy). Don't buy shit with BTC until retailers stop dealing with payment processors that dump on the market. And never sell at a loss.

Next difficulty 18% jump in 7 days.... yikes!

553  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price manipulation going on right now at the big exchanges on: September 18, 2014, 09:33:53 PM
Don't be stupid. Merchants accepting BTC and converting it automatically to fiat. Ex BTC users not buying back in again, because they don't trust scam money anymore. Everyone just wants to get rid of it, miners, too. It's a long way down.

SELL NOW OR LOSE EVERYTHING

Quote
And never sell at a loss.
Worst advice ever. It's sometimes wiser to sell at a loss than to lose it all like many will now.

Damn, you're terrible at trolling Sevvero. Atleast put more effort than a 10 yrs old.
554  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price manipulation going on right now at the big exchanges on: September 18, 2014, 09:31:11 PM
Hi folks,

Two simple pertinent facts:

A. Bitcoin is gaining much wider acceptance at a rapid rate, and new Bitcoin companies overflowing with venture capital money are sprouting up daily
B. The price of Bitcoin is going down, not up

This can ONLY be explained by PRICE MANIPULATION on the part of one or more big exchanges like CoinBase, Bitstamp or BTC-E (the main culprits).  Remember how Mark Karpeles' trading bots at Mt Gox spiked the price to $1200+ in November of 2013?  Now the big exchanges are intentionally CRASHING the price so they can buy up CHEAPLY at rock bottom because they KNOW that the price is set for a massive boom due to increasing adoption worldwide.

How low will it go?  Only the price manipulators know that, but my guess is well below $400.

Invest at $350 would be my recommendation.

And, of course, enjoy the ride.
Which exchange do you think is insolvent?

OkCoin and Houbi. Who else?
Harder question next...

lol great, another Cointerra scam scheme. I love how Coindesk can write just about any crap as "news". I wonder how much they charge. I'm planning to launch 14nm ASICs soon,
556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are People Still Care about Bitcoin? on: September 18, 2014, 09:27:05 PM
@Danny

I can tell by the things you say that you are not very knowledgable on what is happening in the alt coin scene in terms of technical innovation and improvements to the Bitcoin protocol, as there are many cryptos that are more technically advanced and better than Bitcoin. If you were then you would be able to admit that there are better options to Bitcoin, and the network effect and infrastructure is what is propping Bitcoin up at this moment in time. It is not that I am confident in the opinion of myself, it is that I am confident your opinion is heavily laced with ignorance and bias. If your opinion is not formed on ignorance and bias, then it is formed on stupidity... I would like to believe you are a smart guy as I generally try to think the best of people. What you refer to as ALT coin FUD is exactly what you are doing in terms of Alt coins, spreading Alt coin FUD, and you seem to have no interest in educating yourself.

I'm sorry your scam coins didnt work out.

Only the tools sellers make money while all the miners are competing and killing each other.

Grin , go ahead, keep buying yo.
