I'm trying something new here...

Each person that mines 1500 valid LGD blocks at my pool will get a free $10 Amazon gift card:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004LLIKVU/gcrnsts?ie=UTF8&keywords=gift%20card&qid=1399398614&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1.

The claim code will be delivered by email/PM.

To claim, you must:

1) Mine 1500 valid upstream blocks.
2) PM me for further instructions.

Note: You will need to sign a message with your LGD address for verification purposes.

If this becomes successful, I'll streamline the claim process.  For now, we'll use this forum.

Lol, up to 8k down to 1800 and now going up again, wtf?

Pump and DUMP SCAM COIN !!!

Those who panic bought and panic sold have only themselves to blame.  They created their own pump and dump.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZET] Zetacoin - SHA256 coin - Quick confirmations on: May 05, 2014, 06:39:47 PM
Keep it like that until my BTCs arrives at the exchange  Grin

LOL you should have had it in there already waiting.
(I learned that little trick on the last panic sell)

It's too late now.

Does this mean my last 12 hours of mining have gone to waste?

If you are still mining at middlecoin, it's amazing if you are even paying for power costs.  Try another pool...  this one is rather dead.

MiddleCoin has been paying (I received payment yesterday).  It's maybe not the "best" at times, but it's consistent.
I've tried other pools and although MiddleCoin has it's glitches every now and then, the other pools don't seem to have the same type of reliability.

That is BS! i got a refund about 2 months ago when i realised the shit was going to hit the fan and i got the exact same amount of btc back and BA told me then that they are not an investment company so cannot give the usd value back but only the exact number of coins. However btc/usd has dropped since then so the coins you get will not be worth as much as when you paid.

Again, how much evidence do we need that they are speculating with customer funds? Also, if this anecdote is true, look how transparently scammy the customer service is, spinning this fraud as something somehow appropriate.

They are clearing inventory of the older Bitfury devices.  Looks like they need cash.
Not a good sign.

I would buy one but the minimum quantity is 10.  Strange thing is you can buy just one power adapter.
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Potential Premine SCAM coins: RainbowCoin Quarkbar Beecoin Evercoin on: May 04, 2014, 01:34:50 PM
The ValueFromAmountWithFee function in itself is innocuous.
It seems to return the value of transaction in case that the tx fee exceeds the maximum.

To see where it is used to hide premine, I searched for line

Code:
ValueFromAmountWithFee(pindexBest->nMoneySupply)

The results are here

https://github.com/search?q=ValueFromAmountWithFee%28pindexBest-%3EnMoneySupply%29&type=Code&ref=searchresults

The first coin to pull the scam is
SHACoin

followed (knowingly or not) by
Evercoin
RainbowCoin
Asiacoin
xxxcoin

This clears Beecoin and Quarkbar of suspicion.

Just an FYI, the Rainbowcoin on that list is not the same one as the SHA256 one (https://github.com/Rainbowcoin/Rainbowcoin).

It seems Quarkbar is not harmed by the scam! Smiley

We are okay, the Github repo referenced in that search is not the official Rainbowcoin:
https://github.com/Rainbowcoin/Rainbowcoin/blob/master/src/rpcwallet.cpp#L80
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN : Rainbowcoin (LGBT) on: May 04, 2014, 01:15:27 PM

Can you explain exactly what that means and how it works?

Code:
ValueFromAmountWithFee(pindexBest->nMoneySupply)

This is very interesting...

I had to enable the proxy and Tor blocking feature on the LegendaryCoin faucet due to recent abuse.

Maybe someone can design a nice template for it?

558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZET] Zetacoin - SHA256 coin - Quick confirmations on: April 29, 2014, 10:24:05 AM
What is this "announcement" I keep hearing about.

It's most likely some kind of integration with M-Pesa ... which is pretty huge, if true. Let's wait and see. (But remember, once the news comes out, ZET will not be as cheap as it is now.)

do you have a prediction on what the price might look like once the news is out?

Initially the price may rise to maybe $0.90 then quickly drop down to $0.20 as all the bag holders take their profits.  Then a few weeks later, it will rise to $0.40, and drop again slightly as the weaker hands sell their stash.  Finally, a month or two later, we could see the price rise to over $1.00.  From that point forward it's pure speculation.

I see MinnerSource has added a Prospero X-1 for June @ $379
I'm tempted to buy, but it seems a little high for 100GH/s so late.  Should I go ahead and place an order or should I hold my coins and see what happens towards the Fall?
