541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do you day trade or prefer a long term hold? on: February 18, 2018, 02:20:13 AM
So I'm slowly going into crypto and I want to know if any of you trade altcoins daily, or you prefer to hold it for long term? What do you think it's better and why?

Thanks

If I see opportunity and I have enough time to monitor the market, I do day trades. But only a portion of my cap I use for day trades. More than half of it I hold for med-long term investment.
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tactics When Market is Falling on: February 17, 2018, 06:14:19 PM
Hi all,
I am a relative newbie but have remained pretty calm during the difficult last week or so. The markets are falling significantly again, is this still relatively normal and is the best advice just to HODL? Moving forward I think I will set stop losses on all holdings to protect my capital against falls like this.
Thanks

It depends on what type of trader you are. Some people cut losses and buy back low. Some traders HODL and the others, well they average down and keep buying more at the bottom. Always keep a spare btc in times like this. You will get good coins at a great discount.
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DRIVR Network - ICO - BOUNTY - Advanced A.I. Ride share platform on: February 17, 2018, 05:45:52 PM
This is a very interesting project for the masses who use public transportation. But how will drivers calculate the rates? Is there a basis for that? As said in one of the features that drivers can set the rates.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Token from Airdrops got value someday? on: February 16, 2018, 06:36:30 PM
I received a lot of tokens from Airdrops, but they haven't any value yet. When will be this tokens got value? in USD I mean?

"they haven't any value yet"

yes, there will be some value in the future, I cannot confirm all the coins but some coins will be.

"When will be this tokens got value?"
it depends on your participate project progress. keep in touch with the project team, they will announce the projects progress news and check the roadmap to see when they will add the exchanges.

It depends on the coin and their respective projects. Just hold it, some will definitely have value. Constantly check those coins for updates so you know how they are doing and if the project of that coins are progressing or not If they have value. Its free money. If not, better luck with the other or future coins you'll be getting.
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MyCrypto or MyEtherWallet on: February 15, 2018, 04:26:12 PM
Seems like the deal gone bad between the heads of MyEtherWallet. Would you switch to MyCrypto or stick to MEW?

If you are not aware of the situation, read this https://cointelegraph.com/news/wallet-wars-myetherwallet-developer-goes-solo-to-launch-mycrypto

Not sure what makes mycrypto better than myetherwallet. Im still using myetherwallet, simply because I dont feel the need to switch to mycrypto, atleast as of now. Unless they are closing MEW website, i will switch to mycrypto. But now, contented and somewhat Im used to myetherwallet. So definitely sticking to it for now.

How Bitcoin Can Change The World?

Bitcoin or let's say blockchain technology can end centralization. It can change how we transact, pay and get paid. We can send money to anywhere in the world without 3rd party companies.
547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will BTC be a major in college? on: February 12, 2018, 01:35:25 PM
Not specifically BTC but cryptocurrencies in general. You think it will become a course of study / college degree at some point?

Some universities offer blockchain courses. Maybe in the future it will become a major subject or could be a course given a lot of youths now are interested in learning this new technology. Sooner or later blockchain and cryptocurrency will be discovered by a lot of people, resulting in widespread curiosity and adoption.
548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin loses its popularity ? on: February 12, 2018, 01:30:08 PM
Right now there are more coins available in the market which gives you more profit than bitcoin.
Bitcoin price is also not stable.
All these factors affect its popularity ??
What you think, still bitcoin is more popular ?

Bitcoin is the mother of all alts. Whatever price movement bitcoin does, the market gets affected. And most people are introduced to bitcoin first before any other cryptocurrency.
549  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a currency or collectible? on: February 11, 2018, 03:12:51 AM
In reality, bitcoin does have the nature of a transaction in money. Possessing the actual price, made up of the value that people trust together, is only rigorous for bitcoin individuals because if an algorithm can The output of such a huge value, that algorithm may be a lot, it is not so can create value out of thin air?

Bitcoin is both, a currency and a collectible. In my opinion, bitcoin is best as a store of value. Flip it through trading so you grow your holdings.
550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin new revolution of finance world. on: February 11, 2018, 03:07:26 AM
Bitcoin is new revolution of finance world. Everyone knows that bitcoin born in 2009. Currently bitcoin is developing criptocurrency - Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple Bitcoin Cash, Cardano, Litecoin, NEO, NEM, Stellar, IOTA, EOS, Dash, TRON, Monero, Dogecoin.  Shocked
Will the banks support this kind of financial transaction and will be able to survive together?

In Latvia, bitcoins are something new and unknown. Everyone is talking, but few of them really understand bitcoin's capabilities.

Is it really something lasting or short-lived??? Huh Huh

Bitcoin can end centralization, but banks can also adopt to bitcoin and be open to new technology. Bitcoin is mostly seen as a big competitor for banks and remittance centers. 9 years in not a short period fyi, and the masses are yet to know more about bitcoin and the technology behind. 5 years from now we may see it widely adopted and hopefully more countries will support it.
551  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prediction: Bitcoin will hit 100K on: February 11, 2018, 02:51:34 AM
Hey guys I want your opinion on this prediction. Seems legit to me. Bitcoin is always growing in the long term.
Why not hit even this year 50K.
Here is the link https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/915882/bitcoin-price-prediction-cryptocurrency-bull-run-latest-stock-market-sell-off

We can hit 100k but not anytime soon. The market will experience a lot of bloodbath and many people will lose money and lose hope with bitcoin. It will be an emotional roller coaster for many investors before reaching to that point. Only those who strongly believe in bitcoin and its usecase will go far in this industry.
552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You've been scammed. What you can do ? on: February 11, 2018, 02:36:37 AM
So everything is in the title.
What can you do when you have been scammed ? what are your possibilities to recover your funds, I mean here in the community, excepting going and report to the police.

Some things to consider is if you know the person, the whereabouts and some other important information that you can trace him. Otherwise, it will be hard to recover the funds if its an unknown person that you sent your btc to. All i can say is, be careful who you transact to next time. Move on if you hold no important information with that scammer and try to recover your losses in some other ways, like trading, mining, and staking.
553  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin finally hit 20K on: February 11, 2018, 02:28:19 AM
After a long wait Bitcoin is rising up in charts.Do you think Bitcoin will finally hit 20K this month if its price increase rapidly? Roll Eyes

Bitcoin will rise to 20k, but i dont think it will be this month. Unless there are some ultra bullish news and market makers moving up the price like it did in December. For now, it will move gradually up with some dips in between, also unless if there are some FUDs to move the price down. In the long run, 20k is very much possible and more.
554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is Big in Japan on: February 09, 2018, 04:48:19 PM
-Miss Bitcoin
Mai Fujimoto, aka Miss Bitcoin on her social media platforms, figure-heads an attitude that seems to be crowing in the Land of the Rising Sun.

-Why the hype in Japan?
The attitude in places like China and even Korea is one of the people battling against the regulators. There is huge interest in these two nations from the citizens, but regulators have put their foot down.

-A good alternative
Bitcoin also comes at a great time for the investment-savvy Japanese as ultra-low interest rates from the deflation-battling central bank that has left investors scratching their heads for places to find returns on their cash.

Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-its-big-in-japan

Aside from the fact that Satoshi Nakamoto sounds very much a Japanese name, Japanese people are more open to new innovations, new possibilities and new discoveries. Instead of rejecting something new, they try and understand the underlying usecase of bitcoin and its technology. And one advantage of that is, they are one step ahead with most countries that fear change, their people are widely adopted to bitcoin when other countries are debating whether to ban bitcoin or tax it.
555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to eliminate unemployment. on: February 08, 2018, 06:46:44 AM
Almost every country has unemployment problems. There are many young boys who are working unemployed. But the days of settling their turn are over. Now, if you wish, you can earn a lot of money sitting in the house. Bitcoin can earn their unemployment by earning. It can be possible to improve the country by improving their lives by earning bitcoin. That is why Bitcoin among all Habetahale to spread the knowledge of the second day will increase the demand for Bitcoin.

It can help even  the uneducated ones, its true. But one must learn how to make money through bitcoin by trading, mining and other things related to bitcoin that can multiply your holdings. Holding bitcoin alone for long term wont do much if you hold such small amount, the answer to unemployment is to multiply your bitcoin holdings as much as you can to the point that you can live day to day and more through just bitcoin as your source of income.
556  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: February 03, 2018, 05:53:30 PM
I use different wallets, mainly for the purpose of not putting all eggs in one basket. I use blockchain wallet, myetherwallet, eidoo and trezor as harwadare wallet for long term coins.
557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I keep my BTC now? on: February 03, 2018, 05:24:58 PM
Hi guys! I have been hold my BTC for a long time but now it's completely down and I started to think about selling it. My friend is very good trader and he advised me to keep all my BTC now and try to get some free coins from different forks because when BTC will be completely down forks will be more actual and valuable. That's why I am here to ask you how to get that fork coins for free? I have found very good fork calling Bitcoin Interest but I just can't understand how to do that.  Tell me please the best way to do that. Thanks in advance !

Hold your bitcoin, it will make another ATH, just wait for another bull run. If you dont need fiat, then no need to sell bitcoin now. If you're looking for long term, then keep it now. You can trade if you want to increase btc, but ofcourse its risky and you have to learn how to trade well, or else you might get rekt.
558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy BTC? on: February 03, 2018, 05:16:05 PM
BTC dumped and now is a good time buy it. Better keep some fiat ready and catch some dips, dont buy all at once, keep buying at every dip. We don't know the bottom yet. But every fud created, bitcoin price drops.
559  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Bitcoin buy and sell rate in quoinex.com is better than coins.ph? on: February 03, 2018, 08:39:41 AM
Hi have anyone tried quoinex.com mabilis ba ang cash in and cash out nila? how's the service? thanks

MAy ma suggest pa ba kayong exchange sa maganda and buy and sell rate ng bitcoin sobrang laki na nga spread ni coins.ph....

560  Local / Pilipinas / Re: minimum amount for trading on: February 03, 2018, 08:10:24 AM
