541  Economy / Economics / Re: In COVID-19 everyone needs motivation on: October 28, 2020, 02:32:37 AM
I caught Covid-19 about 3 months ago as I came into contact with too many people due to my job. With the help of being young and a little luck, I managed to overcome the disease in a short time. I think the world will completely get rid of this pandemic in 1 year.

That is great for you.

A lot of people did not survive the virus and I think you should use that time to explain to people how bad this virus is so they would be taking this seriously. Hope you could go back to your job, my father caught the virus too and they are isolated for two weeks in their rooms. Being in a different country is hard, it is harder for them to be isolated despite them working hard for their families.
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Signature campaign increase ICO credibility? I see few good ICOs recently on: October 28, 2020, 01:50:25 AM
Does Signature campaign increase ICO credibility? I see few good ICOs recently using Signature campaign to promote their private sale.

Being a newbie, I would like to know your thoughts through experience.
I somehow really like signature campaigns and i do truly support the project that i promote with signature campaign. For example the current blockmembers campaign that im participating i got really impressed with the project as it is aimed to revolutionize and automate the construction industry which was something never heard of before.

A lot of projects already said that.

You should still be careful since you never know how true their statements are. You never know unless you read the reason behind their project, where they wanted to go or where will they bring this project. Some projects are so good to be true and most of them are just a scam targeting investors of their money then you never know they could just start another one for another scam.
543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: October 28, 2020, 01:09:30 AM
Try to diversify your life.  Gambling is a part of your life.  However, there are many interesting things in life.  Not only gambling.  Sports, lifestyle, communication, flirting, sex, nature, sleep, learning, work.  Gambling is nothing more than games. Smiley

Addiction on the other hand is no joke.

I never experienced it but in other countries, this problem is so bad that they are ruining their lives because of that and they really need a professional help to save them. Gambling itself is just a game, a way for people to risk their money for them to be entertained, not for them to risk their money and their lives to it and entertain the world of how bad gambling made their lives.
544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: October 25, 2020, 10:28:32 AM

Just like quitting in smoking. Hard to quit from your old habit. So yes, find a certain activity or hobby or sports that you really like and divert your attention to that particular activity. It is really hard for the first days, but slowly if you also form a habit to the new one, it may take you away from the old habit. Take one day at a time. It surely needs willpower from your side.

That is so true.

It is not that easy to divert doing things especially if you are used to doing that. Things like it have been a part of your life for some time now. It won't stop that quickly that is why you need to take these small steps. Willpower is the first one since you should also admit to yourself that you are addicted since if you will be denying that, you will find no reason to avoid gambling.
545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: October 25, 2020, 09:36:41 AM
actually they may created a illegal gambling site as extension if the taxes will be as high that they cannot expected.

I don't think they would do that.

They would continue to offer their services to these gamblers and at the same time, follow the policies needed or required by the government. I think instead of the owners avoiding that huge taxes, I guess it would be the people that would do that. They've been taking care of these gamblers for so long and I don't think they would risk that for avoiding those taxes.
546  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price has surpassed $12k!!! on: October 25, 2020, 08:59:34 AM
It is still going strong.

The time that we hit $11K, we can't climb at $12K and we just keep on slipping back to $10K and $11K. Right now, we didn't just break the resistance to $12K but we also went up to $13K and still sitting there proving that it might stick at that price for some time.
I am not going to sound negative but the price might come down a bit before the end of the year and stabilize around 12k for a few months as we enter the new year. I am a bit concerned that since the virus has only decreased and not even vanished yet and there is no tested vaccine either so maybe even the new year will go like this and the price might not hike by too much because it will take a long time to settle down for industries, investors, traders and even the stock market in general.

If at least BTC can hold the 10k value by the end of next year I would be really pleased and if the price goes up then obviously it will be a sweet surprise but at least it should never go below 10-11k now and that is my only expectation from BTC in the new year. Expecting less is sometimes better as you prepare for the worst and get surprised by the best.

We are still sticking at $13K.

I thought it would slide down to mid $12K and be chill in there but still, it is sticking at $13K. You might be right since we are still seeing the price of $13K and still not increasing, the resistance is still there, it is either the price of Bitcoin will stay or stabilize at $11K at the end of the year or I think a price that would slid going back to $10K.
547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 25, 2020, 06:49:57 AM
Playing more is different from chasing your losses and if we compare what is the reason for most of the people to get addicted to gambling is just because of chasing their losses which will eventually never possible to reach the the losses we made unless we are lucky. OP learnt the lesson in right time or else you might lost more in the chasing race.

When you play to recover your loses ten you are always in a hussy and usually place high bets. This way you can even further lose your money. The best approach is that when you lose a game, stop for sometime and then come back again with a fresh mind and then try to recover your loss.

I think it is better if you never come back for those losses.

Chasing those losses would be really dangerous for you. You can't actually control what is happening and what usually happens is that you will never get back those losses and be kept on that losing streak adding more losses which also means chasing more losses in the ear future. People should not gamble for the losses they had, that should also be their sign to stop chasing them.
548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Just a Question... on: October 25, 2020, 05:10:51 AM
Telegram is full of spam mostly with forwarded messages so it may take more effort for the moderators to keep the chat on topic.Where as Discord it offers lot of features which isn't available in telegram.

Another reason I prefer Discord.

Discord also have these rooms, each room has their own topics to talk about that is why it is better since it is like this forum where you could talk about that kind of topic in a room. Each has their own voice room and even music room if you wanted to.
549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: October 25, 2020, 04:12:19 AM
If online gambling starts to regulate by the government, so they could have funds to support their COVID problem is an excellent idea because hospitals will not worry about treating their COVID patients. But not for everybody, especially for online gamblers, because it might increase its fees. There are chances for players to limit themselves from playing because they need to save money not to pay expensive fees.

Or make them find another way to avoid this.

People won't just stop doing things just because they needed to pay for it, they would find a way to keep on gambling without that fees and that just means gambling on another site that is not regulated by the government. These sites are just following the government policies, and I agree with you that this is just for the own good of their country and its people.
550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why criminals still use Bitcoin? on: October 25, 2020, 02:55:57 AM
I don't see bitcoin as a tool for criminals, it all depends on the forum where they purchase the token. That's why I recommend KYC system for all exchanges, to avoid criminals from tarnishing bitcoin.

KYC won't solve that problem.

You should always remember that most of us are using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies because of the anonimity it offers. That is the reason why a lot of people here in this community doens't like KYC but there are some that doesn't have a choice but to do it. They are not tarnishing Bitcoin, they are just using Bitcoin because of its feature.
551  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thinking Bitcoin is Scam on: October 25, 2020, 01:58:32 AM
Until recently in the country Bitcoin is illegal but not banned by the government. I think bitcoin is not a scam, because until recently the price of bitcoin has always gone up from the start, so what makes you think bitcoin is a scam. i think people in my country not all know about bitcoin so little people invest

Bitcoin is not a scam.

We all know that but that is not just because Bitcoin pump in the recent days, weeks or months or years. It is a legitimate and the first decentralized cryptocurrency. The problem with those people is that when someone use it in a scam, people think that it is a scam, that project is a scam, that individual is a scammer, Bitcoin is just used.
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Signature campaign increase ICO credibility? I see few good ICOs recently on: October 25, 2020, 12:52:49 AM
No, it will not increase the credibility of that signature campaign

In the past I do look at some of the signature campaign managers since most of them could identify if that certain project is legitimate or not. But to be sure, you should really know what they project is, what is their goal of starting that certain project and usually who are those people starting it. If you can't identify them yourself, better ask here in the forum.
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Portfolio before and after the pandemic on: October 24, 2020, 11:20:53 AM
The pandemic made us realized the uncertainty of the situation but I stopped myself from selling some of my coins even if the market is drastically dropping, I borrow from my friends instead of selling my coins, and my decision is correct not to sell my coins I now paid all my loans and made a good profit from the coins I'm holding.

That's great for you.

There are a lot of people that are so desperate to earn now especially those people whose businesses closed and those people who lost their jobs and source of income because of the pandemic. Luckily we have this market that is not directly affected by it and we can take the opportunity of holding and reinvesting again if the price ever drops. It is really hard since there are also that time that you need to sell since you really needed it.
554  Economy / Economics / Re: Why has crypto failed to break through still? on: October 24, 2020, 10:19:22 AM
Why are governments still in control of the money printing process? how has cryptocurrency failed to make a dent?
Are we as a community too scared to challenge the status quo?

Afraid? Scared? I don't think so.

The government really are the ones that would control that process, it is not ours nor the people that hate them doing that. Cryptocurrency making a dent? To what? That is not the main reason why Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are made. We are on the road for that reason for a long time now and I think we can't ask for more than that and as time progresses something great is happening.
555  Economy / Economics / Re: I tried money making apps! on: October 24, 2020, 09:36:38 AM
There is nothing wrong with money making apps as long as it is legit. I've tried several money making apps before but I haven't earned anything because I always give up, due to the points that is getting much lesser after a long time of using it. Some are scam but others are really legit too. It only needs more patience and hard works to earn real money.

So true.

Though if you really wanted to earn money, better stick to legitimate applications or platforms but they are so hard to find nowadays. These apps might be a great way to spend your time but always remember that these apps will not make you rich as most of them are just giving shillings that won't be worth your time. If you really wanted to earn money, there really is a risk that comes with it.
556  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Rather learn to trade by yourself on: October 24, 2020, 08:55:35 AM
suggest some good books to read

Books not worth it to read by trading, Of course internet is the most good thing to search by starting a trading books will be old and internet will be the present time you can see to search and day by day you can manage.

I don't know about that.

A lot of things could be read in a book and you can't actually read them online unless you bought them as an ebook. Internet and Books could be our resource of knowledge to trade. There are a lot of ways you could learn trading and I think one of them is to start asking here in the forum since there are a lot of good and great traders here that would walk you through basics and reading here could help you so much.
557  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Survey]Do we need to provide KYC documents in any cryptocurrency exchanges? on: October 24, 2020, 08:21:15 AM
I don't want to provide, TBH.

There are a lot of decentralized exchanges, proven and tested. It is just that, I am using an exchange that requires KYC because it is more efficient since I could make that exchange as a middleman to some transactions that I wanted to. It is a mobile exchange so I could pay some bills, buy load or buy some in-game currencies if I wanted to.
558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: October 24, 2020, 02:25:27 AM
What do you think ? Is this essential? Would it affect the online casinos?

I think that it is badly needed by the government.

Most of the funds of the government right now are focussed on how they would be able to take care of their citizens while also strengthening their medical force to fight this pandemic. For the gamblers, I don't think so since that just means more fees and as you've said, no anonymity. People might choose to gamble on other sites rather than stopping.
559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 24, 2020, 01:35:54 AM
This happened to me and I know a lot of gamblers here. You will always have that day when you can't just stand losing straight and you just want to try and try to win not knowing it should've been stop earlier. There are times that you are so mad at work and you need to breath some air and do gambling then it is just a loss streak, that would be really annoying. Gladly, I am done with that, I lost a lot of bitcoins because of that, we should really learn from our mistakes in the past.

Why do you even gamble if you are mad? If you want to breathe some air, you don't do that in a casino. If you are mad and stressed at work, gambling might only make it worse. Good if you get out of the casino bringing nice profit, but what if you lost? Then your stress will only double and you will find it even harder to sleep not only because of your work-related stress but also of the money wasted.

Because at that time gambling is something I do to entertain myself. I do have those times that I gambled in a bad mood but most of them have this great results even though I don't actually win, it is like I kind of release that stress by betting. I don't know if that is the case for some gamblers, but in the past I am like that.

This is quite a problem for addicted gamblers.

I never thought that this could happen to gamblers. I am not addicted to gambling so I never thought that this is a scenario for the, I just thought that they also think that they should be aware that they are not in a good mood to play and that would obviously create this bad scenario and engage them more in chasing wins even in a losing streak. People should really control themselves, I know it is hard but it is for their own good.
560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost more in the process to recover ? on: October 23, 2020, 11:35:17 AM
It is so great that you've learned from that mistake.

Knowing some gamblers, they would just keep on gambling despite that loss and think that they would just get back the losses they had. People should just keep their cool and always realize the situation they are in. This is the natural path of gamblers who will end up getting addicted, so glad that you able to control yourself and stop yourself from falling from addiction.
