541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Look at $FACEMETA Facebook Metaverse on: December 20, 2021, 11:51:02 PM
Not owned or affiliated with facebook or zuck.
Thank you for breaking down the main point. It's confirmed this as a shit token. I hope that those who are sitll betting in this garbage tokens will be selling their tokens as soon as possible. No affiliation = Scam.
it was faking the reputation by using the name of facebook but this has no relationship with facebook meta. Poor scammer is trying to use various ways to rob money from investors.

Putting it on the watchlist.
It should not. As a confirmed scam token this token is not worthy to take a look.

But the problem lies the fact that there are so many gullible users today. Even if it is a clear scam or fraudulent project, people will try to get a hold of this hoping that they will get lucky and get profit. Unfortunately, in most cases, they will be screwed by scammers. Just look at the squid game token. So people should be smart as there are so many scammers roaming around, just waiting to have a good bait for naive users.
542  Economy / Economics / Re: NFT and art theft on: December 20, 2021, 10:55:39 PM
there is a solution very easy. to avoid art to be stolen in that way, the author should create his own NFT Wink and not wait other people to stole a work.

Most of the art that are stolen in this way ...are people's creations or Art that existed before NFT's even existed. These artists might not even know about NFT's and by the time they do find out... it might be too late.

Yes... struggling artists with a little knowledge about NFT's are cashing in now.. because it has given them a voice now. It is not just the gallery owners that are making money now..  Grin

The dilemma is that a lot of artists are not yet well-versed with NFT industry. I guess, most old artists or unknown artists don't know how to turn their artworks to NFTs. So it will take time for them to understand this new hype in the art industry. So if you are a buyer, you need to be vigilant with stolen works. Before you buy an expensive NFT item, make sure you are getting the authentic piece. Because once it is proven your possession is stolen or just imitation, your investment is gone.
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bsc gas fees on: December 20, 2021, 09:10:23 PM
That's definitely some really high gas fees that you are asked to pay.

It's not normal, normal would be cents. This is more than $10 which is probably worse than some ETH fees right now.

Check your wallet configuration. Have you set an abnormally high amount of fees or something? Or are you using a third party provider that is charging you exorbitant amounts in fees?

I hope the OP already resolved his gas fee problem in BSC. Because he didn't elaborate much what wallet he is using. Because such expensive fee usually is because of third party provider. Because even when you transfer from one exchange to another, the BNB fees are also cheap. So high likely, that this is a third party provider charging high fees.  Anyway, the OP should explain more about the situation so we know where the real problem is.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your idea about Cake token on: December 19, 2021, 11:04:09 PM
Hey Guys
Do u think CAKE value will increase at new year  Huh

No one can tell you if this is about to happen or not.

CAKE holders have been surely optimist about it to increase after he increased few times this year, while others will give you just opinions about scenarios in which how the price would surge.

The key point here, or with any other altcoin, is to sell when get benefits compared to the initial budget you set as investment in it.

It may not be new year, but the future of cake is better than most tokens. Why? In my opinion, because pancakeswap platform is being used actively by a lot of traders, there's always a chance that their value will improve. They may even attain again their previous ATH. But targeting the very first day of next year, I don't think you will see a large jump in their price. The price is increasing if you look at the charts, but it doesn't mean you will expect a high rise when new year comes.
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFX: The Next Big Thing After NFT on: December 19, 2021, 12:09:09 PM
NFX is the next big thing after NFT. “X” is the unknown innovation. I say this because humans become easily bored and would in the blink of an eye move on to the next big complicated and confusing money making thing that one of the tech bros is cooking up somewhere in their basement. Notice how if it is not complicated it wouldn’t rake in so much money? Notice how if it doesn’t have buzz words like Blockchain, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, etc., no one is going to look your way?

Well, what do you think- Is NFT a fad? If the average Joe is able to afford it some day will that make is less profitable? Lemme know what you think.

I think the next NFT that will take off and at the same time be profitable at the same time is NFT-gaming. Almost the majority of the new generations are gamers and being able to play while earning at the same time is a dream come true to many. Imagine a game like World of Warcraft or FFXIV but you are able to trade items/tokens for real money, that's going to be a hot topic especially if it's handled by competent developers.

NFT gaming is already taking off and some of them are actually doing good like the Axie Infinity. And I believe, this will continue for long as there are many gamers across the globe. And they are just like in the early stage of popularity among gamers. Now, they are discovering that they can earn tokens that they can convert to real money. Because before, usually, gamers are just spending big amount to their gaming gadgets without expecting any income. But with the rise of NFT gaming, the possibility of earning good money is here, but you need to be smart in choosing the NFT gaming platform.
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High ETH withdraw Fees, how to Solve on: December 18, 2021, 11:59:41 PM
I think you can set the gas fees and the blocks actually, but this is the risk, this one is the risk when you use ethereum network. I made a transaction and the fee is more than 20$,.

I guess the solution is just wait, you only need to wait until the fee slowing down.

We need to know that the increase of it is becayse many miners do mining, so they need reward from it, and the higher price of eth, higher the fees too,

This is what I am doing, whenever I have to transfer eth from my wallet to another trading platform. You will see the gas fee that you need to pay. But if you will customize it, and set it a lower fee, I don't know how long you will wait for it to go thru or if it goes thru. If you are not in a hurry, you can monitor the gas fee here - https://etherscan.io/gastracker, and just make a transaction when you feel you are not being screwed by high fees.
547  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investors their mind on: December 18, 2021, 11:26:32 PM
Investors mind is always positive and and always take the risk because they know investing is risky. Investors always calm if ever there is a losses he will find other strategy on how to recover it. Patience and self discipline is the key of a successful investors. Never panic when market is down and always secure the profit in a bull market.

Every successful investor has their own ups and downs. I don't think you can consider one successful, if he doesn't experience any loss at all. This is where they will learn their lessons, when they experience loss and learn how it happened and the mistakes they did. They will use those learnings to combat their next battle and not give up. Because if they will give up, I don't think they can achieve success. So those who will not give up and continue their journey will gain a lot of lessons, tips and tricks that will aid them in their success.
548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fear is not Real. on: December 17, 2021, 11:02:11 PM
What is real is the risk, if you don't calculate the risk very well, then the fear will come. Investing in bitcoin does not guarantee you'll be financially free in the future as those people who are successful now took risk and they are also realistic enough to see the possible bad side of bitcoin which is failure of their investment.

This is where diversifying your portfolio comes in. But make sure you are are investing in valuable projects with active application in the market and not just because of the hype. Look for their active users if indeed it is doing the job it supposed to do. Because no one can give you precise prediction of this market, so you have no assurance where your investments will go. So I understand if a lot are having their fears, particularly, if they are using their hard-earned savings or retirement funds.
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a right time to buy some ethereum?. on: December 16, 2021, 11:39:53 PM
Ethereum has always been a good buy by any stretch of the imagination. That is why one needs it around, also considering the astronomical gas fees encountered in the Ethereum blockchain, its a no-brainer one has to have a good stock of it to survive in the platform

I believe it is only a matter of time before we see reduction of gas fees in eth network. And besides, eth dev team is for me, one of the solid team in crypto that are really doing their job to enhance the services that they are providing to the crypto community. They are in continuous innovation to offer better services, that is why they are launching this eth 2.0. So at any time, you can buy your eth, and sell it once you feel you already attain your profits.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: where are these cryptos going;!!! on: December 16, 2021, 10:01:00 PM
It will always come to the idea that there shall be another crypto that will become popular and emerge. While the others that don't perform really well will be overtaken by that new emerging cryptocurrency. When we talk about falling, it's always related to the price and that really is sounding as very negative and downing word. But if the market goes into a correction, don't be too negative, always be prepared with some spare cash so you take advantage of it whenever it comes.
Such is the cryptocurrency cycle and to encourage the team to continue developing the project,
it is true that this is the case and the need to change the mindset that when prices are down it is not always a bad thing,
while being corrected it is the right time to buy some potential coins
We don't have to encourage the teams to continue what they've started. They've chosen the path of developing and it's them that have started it all to make their project possible.
The teams have to stand to what they've made and if they're too fluffy with market motion and didn't anticipate the fall of it, they should only focus on their road maps and not on the price. Because a quality project will become valuable based on its development and its price will reflect on it in the exchanges for being liked by the masses.

Most projects can't continue their developments because of lack of funding. So for projects which are relying from their crowdsourcing funds, they can easily abandon their project once they have no more funds to augment their needs. So if you want to follow a solid project, check if the platform has private investors or financial backers aside from their crowdsourcing activities. Because with financial backers, they will try to achieve their goals because someone is financing them to achieve their targets.
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think 2022 will be bullish, what fundamental coins should I buy? on: December 15, 2021, 11:51:34 PM
Hi, based on the fact that the Federal Reserve System (FRS) has kept the interest rate on federal loan funds, I believe that next year will be really bullish. Therefore, I would like to have fundamental coins in my investment portfolio that will grow in 2022, maybe you can advise me something? At the moment I have Solana, NEAR, Matic, Avax - these projects showed good growth in 2021, and I think they will show even more in 2022

I think there should be no such exact happening in the future to look at why 2022 will be bullish. By looking at past performance, we can assume that 2022 might be a good year for crypto. So now, take the chance to buy at a dip on your preferred coins.

But the question is, are we just going to hope for a bullish? As a trader, we like the volatility of the market. That's where we can get a profit and not just by holding. If the trend will always be bullish, we have no choice but to hug the high price.

Some people are into scalping but not many crypto users have that kind of skill to gain profit from this trading strategy. This is why some people just opt to long-term holding. There are several promising coins to hold, but don't forget bitcoin to include in your list. You will not regret including bitcoin as this is the top coin among all of them. So if other coins are being abandoned by their respective developers, we know that btc will stay.
552  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the market going to dump like that 2018? on: December 15, 2021, 11:22:24 PM
I think we all need to stop having that negative mind of crypto dropping like it did in 2018, crypto has gone beyond 2018 with massive recognition which however resulted to top institutions coming in. So I highly doubt 2018 dump repeating itself.

This is the difference of the situation right now, the adoption today is different than 3 years ago. There were so many happenings that already influenced the market today. So there may be dump but it will not be the same as the adoption is stronger than few years ago. A lot of institutions, companies are heavily invested in crypto, even one whole country, in the name of El Salvador is already into this. So don't think the dump will be the same as 2018.
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you buying in this market downturn? on: December 14, 2021, 11:51:51 PM
Hi, the market has dropped dramatically recently, and we have the opportunity to buy cool projects at a good price, for example, it was possible to buy Solana, NEAR, Avalanche, Cordana much cheaper than they were a week ago.  have you bought something, and if so, what have you bought?

Why not ETH?

I think that it still has a lot more potential compared to Solana which has demonstrated some really startling issues on its pilot phase.

But yeah, pretty much everything is a bargain right now in the cryptospace, even for the large caps. Definitely seize this opportunity if you can.

ETH, BNB, and SOL are very good choices for me to accumulate while the market is still in "bearish" mode. Because once the market is in the bull run, you may regret that you haven't bought your stash for promising projects. But of course, I will always include btc in my list. Because if anything goes wrong, we know that bitcoin market will survive. But to diversify your portfolio, there are really valuable projects that you can get your hands into.
554  Economy / Economics / Re: This why wall street are rich and you are poor on: December 14, 2021, 11:18:10 PM
Wall Street people looks different from common man. Not because of the investment style, but with the innovation/positive mind. Every Wall Street guy will be having some unique thing innovated apart from the investment. There are Wall Street people who have made billions out of investment alone, but at the very beginning they invest on talents rather than assets. How far this is true isn't known, but this is what I believe.

They maybe rich in terms of assets or funds, but have you think of asking them, are they really happy and contented with their life? I guess, a lot of them are not contented for what they have because they keep on pressuring themselves to earn more. But for some poor people who are living in the countryside, I believe some of them are just happy for what they have. So in this case, we are only talking about the richness of people in terms of money or assets, but when you talk about different aspect, you may change your mind which one do you prefer when you are already in the retirement age.
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sand Could hit $50 within next 2 years? on: December 13, 2021, 10:50:11 PM
real use is indeed a priority for investors to inject funds and 2 years also still looks a long but whether it will last for 2 years or not ! considering the economic situation which has also not recovered in every region ! I think sand will hit under 25 dollars 2 years later no more ,this metaverse is still new because of the hype that maybe 2 years in the future it will be beaten by a new project again ! who know that I hope my opinion is wrong

You are actually right here. 2 years in crypto market is too long to speculate because that is already like the lifespan of most crypto projects. Though the gaming platform seems promising but it depends on the developers behind this project if they have long-term goals for this and if they can keep up with their timeline. We don't know if along the way, there will be bottlenecks and the team decided not to continue. So there's always possibility of happening such situation. So if you are investing on this, look also for short-term and keep up with their developments to know if they are indeed working on this. Because if you feel they are about to exit, better sell off rather than hold worthless tokens.
556  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmart to reimburse $200 million to customer on: December 13, 2021, 09:01:49 PM
If they have insurance, then the insurance company would have come down and taken a look at how they do business, security practices, and so on.
Then the insurance company, goes back and comes up with an amount per month / quarter / year to cover any loss that might occur. And if one does they investigate and pay.
Does not matter what business that we are talking about. Be it an exchange or anything else.

So if they did have insurance, they the way they operated WAS insurable. And they were operating that way, because if they are getting money you can be sure their insurance investigated before they wrote a check that big.

If they did not have insurance and are covering the loss out of pocket, how much profit are they making to cover $200 million?

-Dave

I only know Binance as having insurance (SAFU), but this bitmart exchange, honestly, just heard this exchange because of this recent hack. Also, if the OP can give a link so people can read about this recent hack.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitmart-pledges-to-reimburse-hack-victims-as-crypto-community-voices-support

From the article, it is stated that the exchange will shoulder the losses. So don't know how they will cover those multi-million dollar losses. For their users, check their fees later on.

557  Economy / Economics / Re: Maybe good time to loan money to invest in crypto on: December 13, 2021, 07:36:46 PM
Well it's not bad if you need to borrow money just for an investment because we don't know that by borrowing money there he grows and thrives, of course he can easily pay it off, if you have a job it's also easy for you to get and get finances  but with loan for investment I think sometimes others despise borrowing money and for me its up to you how do you make money to invest because not everyone takes out a loan for financial and we don't think the same way  sometimes the good will end up in the bad.

That is, if he has other resources that can cover if in case he is not lucky with his crypto investments. Because if not, and he is only relying to the possible rise of value, I don't think he can sleep peacefully here, knowing that he needs to return the loan as well as interest for a specified period of time. So if you have no other means to pay off the debt, I won't suggest to make a loan when it comes to crypto investments. This market is very unpredictable and you have no assurance that you will attain your targets at a certain time.
558  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is getting more bearish, what is the trigger? on: December 12, 2021, 11:56:18 PM

Bitcoin is getting more bearish because it is December as many investors are waiting for December to cash out. If you look at the bitcoin price history for every bullish year you might notice December is the month with the highest bitcoin sell up. During the bitcoin bullish market, many people are investing in bitcoin and wait for December to cash out, this is not something new it is just history repeating itself.
Usually that is the trend going into winter as majority of the investors will book their profit and enjoy their vacation time, but this time around we have institutional investors as well, so anything is possible, they do not take a break like the casual investors do but there will be a time period where they will be booking their profit. It is better to prepare yourself on how the market will perform and expect the market to move in either direction in the coming months.

We can't pinpoint the culprit/s of this seemingly bearish market movement. But if you compare the price even from last year, can you say we are in the bearish mode? I don't think so. Because last year, we ended up below $30k level, so comparing its price today, which is already in the $50k price range again, we can say it is in the bullish mode as compared to last year. So yes, it depends on what time frame you are comparing here. But for me, I just be grateful that we achieve this level where I believe most old time btc holders never imagined that btc will attain this price.
559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin main use case now on: December 12, 2021, 11:16:12 PM
Bitcoin is mainly an investment asset now. It is not very widely used for payment, ...

I still use bitcoin as a payment method. Although, not as often as I used to. I still use it from time to time. Other altcoins have not yet reached the same level as bitcoin.

It's still good as both, an asset to hold and as well as payment. But the main use of bitcoin in particular is a payment. For some in the market that trades daily, it's the pair that they would rely on.

Yes, I agree. Bitcoin is probably going to be the next best thing in terms of monetary standard and will have a big impact on the current monetary system. The biggest impact of bitcoin will be the chance to move away from central banking system.

I don't think we will see this in our lifetime - the conversion of central banking system to crypto system. They will stay where they are and they may just integrate crypto system but the traditional banking system remains. The decentralized nature of crypto is the major aspect why most governments don't like it. They need full control and so why they will stick to the traditional system. Let us be grateful that a lot of governments now are accepting the existence of crypto. But don't expect that they will alter their financial system owed to crypto.
But I do agree that most bitcoin holders today are seeing bitcoin as investment not for day to day use. As much as possible, they want to hold it for the hope that they will get very good profits in the future.
560  Economy / Economics / Re: China - everything is fine! But everything is bad ... on: December 12, 2021, 10:25:08 PM
Evergrande is bankrupt. $ 308 billion. Direct influence on entire segments of the global economy of China.
Kaisa Group Holdings is bankrupt. About 11 billion. The largest borrower in the market.

It seems that very soon we will witness a very loud bang and debris flying in all directions from the bursting bubble called "the Chinese economy". What do you think - what impact will this bubble burst have on the world economy, world production and trade?
perhaps the most felt is the price of goods produced by China will weaken and this will be an opportunity for its competitors and will also have an impact on economic inflation for countries that in fact cooperate economically with China.

This is true as a lot of countries are relying from China when it comes to their products (cheap products), but it is not the end of the line for those consumers. They can always find better alternative to these products, it may not be as cheap as coming from China, but maybe of better quality. People will always find a way how to survive so for me, even if countries will not get something from China, there will always be other doors that will open for them. The impact may be felt initially, but in time, they can always recover. Life goes on, they are not the ultimate reason why people can survive.
