I saw someone mention that the new wallet will be released tomorrow, but I also heard it should be expected some time next week.  Can anyone confirm?

Yes tomorrow night will be an updated wallet release that has both XChat and Private Transactions.  Next week will be the updated TOR_STICK Image release

You could build smart contracts for the side props.   As for the api being centralized. .. knowing Dan and teams style, they'd probably make the wallets themselves as entry points for the actual api handles.

Sounds like you know how to make this technically possible.. interested in discussing this further? Or will the team try to build this in the mobile wallet?

Been looking at Ethereum smart contract code, which could be used if the same wasn't available on the XC blockchain itself.  For a side prop setup, apps could reach a voting consensus with the master app (one of the phones designated, each of the apps have this capability) which would have the contract control.  Side props would be loaded as contracts through master app and voted on for consensus.

Horse racing would be an incredibly easy smart contract implementation as they have all the infrastructure and feeds already setup.

TLDR: Yes, interested in discussing this.

Lets add this to the drawing board :-)

Maybe an online gambling site that allows all alts to be used? Cashier/Exchange other alts for XC or BTC for gaming currency. There would be profit just in the exchange of alts. I think it can be done.

Would be better discussed in a different thread I think

What would work is a app that they can use for they're ridiculous sidebets (Phil now does this by hand). Of course the currency used would be Xcurrency

I like this idea :-)

Sorry offtopic but need to know:

Who is going to play some WCOOP events on pokerstars?

ontopic: Looking forward to the update this weekend!! GO TEAM

Screw you that you can play on PokerStars. Grin  I'm still waiting for my Fulltilt money to come back from the DOJ.  It's all going into XC of course.

"When we're ready"
Howard Lederer

Sad When PS took over FT the money was in my account

Why I asked was as follows: If someone with a proven (OPR with above avarage ROI) track record wants to take a shot. I'm more then willing to back and donate the winnings to the PR/DeFUD/Foundation/Etc to further our cause. So pokerpro's please respond.

We could also ask Phill Ivey, known BTC fanboy, if he is up for some sponsoring. Consequently bringing in some of his millions. BTW the first crypto to land on one of the mayor pokersite's will get a nice lead but will probably not happen due to legislation. Pokercommunity is ripe for coinage. PokerCoin launching in 3..... 2...... 1.....

Hmm....

Hahaha, ATCsecure is a poker junkie?  I new I loved this coin.  Are you on 2+2?

Seals with Clubs is probably the biggest BTC poker site and Bryan Micon hates alts.  Some of the other sites are starting to look into it as an option, but not sure.  The great thing about Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan  and other poker players sponsoring XC is they are action (gambling) junkies.  Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan would probably buy a few hundred thousand of XC just for shits and giggles.

Yes huge poker fan.. Although I haven't played online in ages

It would be very cool to get XC in front of these guys

Playing online poker for untraceable money? I'm in...

Lets raise money and develop a huge online poker platform dedicated for XC.

Interesting. 😁

pookielax31 on Today at 04:55:33 PM

this man is real failure of human nature.

So, I was just talking in #cloakcoin and MrBoh happened to accidentally spell my name "battbott" when referring to me... tell me that he did not fake those irc logs...my god.  MrBoh and pookielax = same person = weeds.

Ah fake pastebin logs.. whats next?

Anyways an updated release will be coming this weekend [Sunday Night], with both XChat and Decentralized Private Transactions in a single wallet for mainnet.

Dan

551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCurrency] Decentralised Trustless Privacy / Encrypted XChat / Privacy Platform on: August 01, 2014, 01:15:37 PM

In the new release of Talkcoin users could create encrypted private room and only who knows the passkey could see the messages. Now only the name of the room still not encrypted, but in the next release all will be encrypted. Wink

Ok. Ah well, it appears that there's no longer any doubt that XChat uses different tech to Talkcoin.

Nice. Done.

You're welcome to check back in here when we make the code public.

Ok thanks for the info.
And the question about VoIP feature. It uses the same tech with KoreCoin ?

I don't know anything about Korecoin and its VoIP technology, nor do I think it would work over XNode protocol

I think this review is to counteract that screeshot of Dan saying cloak is a scam. If he checks code and its not, its fair for him to take what he said back (give a good review)

he could just say he was talking about the old appraoch and he stands by that. there would be nothing wrong with that since he was talking in a private chat room, he wasn spamming their thread or even in here. it wasn't public.
There is no reason for apologetic feelings or actions, he has done nothing wrong.

Standing by your words about the cloaksend 1.0 and do no more until asked for. that would be the right thing to do.

Counteract a screenshot? We are not 14 year old school girls in here
Anybody can make that screenshot, forgot the link but its somewhere in the cloak thread, a quick 'Viral<something>.com website to make a log like that. Hope Dan just stays quiet on this, say nothing, do nothing and keep working on XC. If they ask, just say you are busy with your own coin. Have to agree with Hoertest on this one, stay away from other coins! He, lets all do that, at least in this thread.
Also hope XC stays on track, the little detour from anon to Xchat is nice, the future extention to voice & video great but hope this team first finishes the anon part, including public bounty then focusses on the next thing.
A lot of teams are working on the same 'holy grail', lets be the first with unbreakable & stable anon, build from there

Agreed - I did nothing wrong, cloaksend 1.0 is/was a PHP script.

Now back to XC

XCurrency has multiple concurrent development projects happening at once, and several more updates are coming!!!

You should pull back from giving any review for that piece of crap coin...

It is unfortunate that some people act a certain way and post crap.

At this point, based on the behavior a few individuals,  its a catch 22...

553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCurrency] Decentralised Trustless Privacy / Encrypted XChat / Privacy Platform on: August 01, 2014, 12:55:12 PM
The last few weeks there is a lot of talk about private chat and video/voice chat. But how is this going to increase xc sales? how can you garantee that the people who want private chats are going to buy xc? (im trying to understand what way xc is going, so this is no troll of something)

This:

***The XC Daily Update***

Hello all

It's been confirmed by the developers that XChat will include voice calling in post-Rev 3 editions, and video calling further into the future.

So basically we have a decentralised, private, Skype.

Here's to the future!

I would like to read to source code in order to see whether XC clones these new features from Talkcoin and Korecoin.
Anyone could point me to the recent source code? Thanks.

Doesn't talkcoin use the blockchain to store the msg?

XChat does not use the blockchain

Is there a minimum number of XC you must have in your wallet to earn from staking?  I think I setup staking correctly but have not been earning any XC for the past few days

Not really as it is about coin age..  Takes on average ten+ days

For those asking about Cloak coin, all I can say is that if the dev can/wants to provide a working -qt wallet, I would be more than glad to analyze it and write up a report on my results

You want to have a look into a "work in progress" closed-source feature of a competing coin? Are you out of your mind sir?

is the QT client available for download? I'm not asking for the source code
