542  Economy / Economics / Re: number of transactions per day higher than ever on: February 07, 2015, 11:32:54 AM
it means more people are using it, which means it has more utility, and thus it's a good thing.

if no one uses bitcoin, it's not worth much at all.

Most of the people use bitcoin for gambling Tongue
So it means in a way that more people might be gambling
543  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin cash? on: February 07, 2015, 11:31:45 AM
Well, it depends on what you consider for it to be,
Some consider it as cash, some as tradable currency.
544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2.5 BTC stolen i wanna cry :-( on: February 07, 2015, 11:31:19 AM
I'm sorry to hear that.
I hope you can get it back to your wallet  Wink

No one just gets their stolen coins back in their wallet.
They are stolen for a reason.

546  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitSolitaire - Bitcoin Solitaire for the win! on: February 07, 2015, 11:25:25 AM
lost 28 games in line, hehe Smiley

lol first i won 3 times in line and then lost 28 in row .. hehe nice provably fair Grin

Well the games are provably fair, like you said. So you can always verify. 28 losses suck , hard to accept that streak.
547  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC | 1% on: January 31, 2015, 12:33:19 PM
Been around at PrimeDice for a bit over month now and I can say I have enjoyed my stay a lot! Chat is sometimes a bit spammy but otherwise I have enjoyed everything. Such a great community and lovely people! Thanks a lot for letting me be part of it.
Nice to see happy people in pd. Hope you are having a good time and are in nice profit.
And are you the one who keeps on sending "hi hi" after every 5 mins? Are you using some bot?

Hehe I ain't a bot I was just bored:p
You called the chat spammy and see you yourself  spam by saying "hi" every now and them.  You don't even reply after then.
Hope you have great experience on the site.
Best of luck.

Do people spam the chats only for levelling up or is it for something else like the rain bot on chat on other sites?

553  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1 BTC poker tournament prize pool? on: January 31, 2015, 12:00:23 PM
Our first 1 BTC PP tournament tonight!
Buy-in is only 50 tokens and we are looking for 15 poker players Smiley
Good luck!
What happens if you fail to get 50 players? Will the buy in money be returned or will it get soaked?

I think he meant that buy in is 50 chips, and even if he gets 15 players the tournament will still happen. Will probably play considering you guys paid out during the previous run of freerolls .

I hope the guys will play. We have paid around 3BTC this week mostly from freerolls (scammers included).
Smiley

I think you should decrease it to 10 players. Because at 15 players they are spending 750 chips to win a 1000.

Even some other sites do that , and yours is fairly new. However if you make minimum 10, then at 500 chips they can get upto 1 BTC prizepool

and is profitable for them. This way you will surely get more people.
554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What good have you done with Bitcoin? on: January 31, 2015, 11:57:40 AM
I think in the last one year the ability to tip people has been the best thing to have happened.

Its fun when you can spread awareness on bitcoin by tipping on a random thread on any social media.
555  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cops Going After Kids Shoveling Snow – They Want Their Cut on: January 31, 2015, 11:56:12 AM
What's next? Is it going to be lemonade stands this summer? Am I supposed to feel privileged to have had an actual childhood, now?  Angry

http://armstrongeconomics.com/2015/01/28/cops-going-after-kids-shoveling-snow-they-want-their-cut/

I guess this is only in one or 2 countries.

In the UK they never give any problems whatsoever.
556  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NASA will pay you $18,000 to stay in bed for 70 straight days on: January 31, 2015, 11:55:08 AM
I don’t know how this study could be legal. What is the Federal Minimum Wage? At 168 hours a week (since you have NO time away from the “job” for $1200 per week you’re getting $7.15 per hour STRAIGHT TIME with NO OVERTIME PAY. It’s a federal job so this shouldn’t be legitimate.

Apart from that staying in bed without any exercise would be all another challenge.

You would repeatedly have to take toilet breaks to not lose on exercise.
557  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McDonald’s might start accepting Bitcoin soon on: January 31, 2015, 11:51:47 AM
My Local Mcdonalds is actually giving out free burgers for Hugs today . Surprised by that .

It will be good if they allow Burgers to be purchased with bitcoin.
558  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NASA will pay you $18,000 to stay in bed for 70 straight days on: January 31, 2015, 09:57:45 AM
stay in bed means that stay in the room ? and never get out till 70 days can we sit for a moment on the bed ? can we walk on bed Tongue

I guess no.
Quote
For the first 13 days for non-exercising subjects and 21 days for exercising subjects, you’re able to move freely (in and out of bed) within the bed rest facility. However, after this period you will be prohibited from leaving the bed for the next 70 days

then it will be very hard task can we negotiate with nasa saying that 8000$ for 20 days Tongue ?
559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McDonald’s might start accepting Bitcoin soon on: January 31, 2015, 09:56:58 AM
This is nothing but rumour based on the faintest of murmurings.

If they do it will be yet another place where Bitcoin can be spent to further reduce the price. I don't why this news excites holders.

Nah. Bitcoin adoption isn't bad for bitcoin or the price. More merchants is essential for the value in the long run.

more merchants more users less coins = high price of bitcoin
