541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use betting tips? on: November 21, 2019, 10:38:03 AM
From my personal experience I used, I paid about $ 70 a month, and I got a ticket every 2 days with odds 3-4, I was not satisfied, I guessed poorly (more precisely that tipser), out of 15 tickets, the hits were 7. which is very bad for that odds. I lost a lot on that, so I'm interested in your experience?
yeah but only those freebies or those who is starting their group to give free tips but if payable?nope why would i need to pay when the truth is i am risking my money in betting their no assurance tips?
you should have realized that from the very start mate and have not pay for those liars lol.
I tend to agree, it's better to use freebies since you are only taking advice and tips, so, why does an individual have to spend money just for that? Also, there is no guarantee that their tips have 100% accuracy.
It's true that you are risking your own money, that's why believing in yourself is much better.
542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your favorite kind of lottery? on: November 21, 2019, 09:56:08 AM

1. Active or passive approach:

This depends on the mood but I do like to be passive since I am a passive person to be honest.

Does it really matter on the personality of a certain person?

Anyways, I feel the same way, it depends on my mood and my instinct of where I feel that I have the chance to win.

2. Odds or prize amount?

Obviously a higher odds with a lower prize.

As long as you have more chances of winning even with having a not bigger prize, it should be fine.

3. Reasonable ticket price?

The same ticket as I am buying right now $0.39(20 pesos), I'm good
For me, a reasonable price would be $0.20 to $1.00
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we all fools on believing the word "HOLD"? on: November 21, 2019, 09:19:48 AM
Holding it even we are in the bull market is a big mistake , there are many people has been experience this lost, becuase they believe that when holding it will increase its value sooner . if you are in profit  already take the profit and leave  dont wait for  dump will happen, its better to have sure earnings than gambling it for just hoping that it will increase more .
Yes, and it does include myself, having the same mistake as OP, instead of selling at ATH, I chose to hold and lost the opportunity of maximizing my profit. I was too greedy at that time and believe that crypto prices will increase more and will never go down.
So, now I learned my lesson and my current holdings will not be for hodl forever, I prepared myself to sell them when new ATH will come.

544  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this a scam? on: November 21, 2019, 08:35:00 AM

However.., now he is asking me to deposit 2 bitcoin on my Blockchain(.com) account, where he previously has had access to for the following reason;

Why does he have access to your own blockchain account? You must be trustworthy enough to trust your wallet to some stranger.

He tells me he added me to bitcoin mining but there was a `server error' which he tracked down to my account and somehow all bitcoin is `encrypted in 1 block'. The result is a large amount of bitcoin in a `non-spendable/watch only' wallet that is sitting on my account.
He says he needs a minimum of 2 bitcoin to be added to my account to remotely start `decryption of the encrypted block', which he cannot deposit, since he is region locked. (We are from different regions)

Did he discuss it before adding you to bitcoin mining? Did he consider your own decision or you just give him every right to take actions without your consideration.

For me it is a scam, you clearly said that "He needs a minimum of 2 bitcoin", not for you but for him. You're at a disadvantage here, he has access to your account and if he stole your funds you have nothing to do to get it back.
Don't have any second thought, you should not agree to all his terms, consider your own thinking.
545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction at its Worst! on: November 20, 2019, 11:51:19 AM
will be very lucky for those of you who like to play gambling but do not get addicted, it would be nice if gambling was only for entertainment only but not to the level of addiction.  because most people if they gamble instead want to gamble continuously.

No gambler is "lucky" or immune from being addicted.

Many people who started with just a $5 bet - ended up losing millions - for example Justyn Larcombe - read his story.

Gambling itself is so much addictive or say humans greedy behaviour make them lose millions of dollars just to win one big amount in anticipation which may just not happen every time they gamble . Hope people learn from their mistakes .
Being greedy is what makes a human being addictive to gambling. We always think of instant money and we always set aside the enjoyment of playing.
Most gamblers lose more than a million dollars because of their mindset, thinking of winning a big amount all the time which is impossible. As you said, gamblers anticipated that they will win one big amount, but for that to happen you need pure luck which is really impossible.

547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a Developer To Take Over a Dead Project on: November 20, 2019, 07:13:56 AM
What is the connection to your poll with your request?

If you are looking for someone, this guy seems to be interested. Grab it if you have a good deal.
I can take over your project provided it has good prospect and all the history can be released to me, i will be interested in the reason you want to sell it also, is it listed or traded anywhere ?

Pm sent.

It will be hard to find someone to take over and handle your dead or dying project since it is very risky to invest in a project with a small percentage or a project with no chance of success.
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Simple idea on: November 20, 2019, 06:30:35 AM
Yes, at times it do happens like this and it is not only coinomi Wallet that do act like this, Imtoken and Trust also do like this once a while and like you said, one can always scan his address to check new tokens that has
being sent to you without you receiving notification.
There are actually times that this happens not only to the wallets you have said, but it also happens in the official wallet of ethereum.
Yes, and it can be tracked using etherscan and you will also find information about the coin that you were about to add in your wallet.
This is only natural things to happen in erc20 or created token using a smart contract.
549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputation at stake will you stop gambling on: November 19, 2019, 12:26:22 PM
As you said, gambling is just for fun. Not addicted, or anything that can harm your reputation, but just for fun.
It is indeed that reputation is important when you're running as a counselor or in any position in politics, but I don't think that it will affect your reputation. As long as you can provide proof of where you get your money, there is no need to think anything about it.
550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Social experiments in the world of gambling on: November 19, 2019, 11:47:29 AM
If someone bet and he suffers a big loss and then goes here to ask a little help from you, are you willing to give him help?
Have you ever experienced something like that, how do you deal with this loss?
I think that can help you is yourself, maybe some people here can only advise you and not necessarily after that you really listen to their advice.

It's best to leave gambling if you can't afford to lose and don't do it again, hopefully you haven't/aren't a gambling addict.

More like no one is willing to help someone or a stranger financially due to his own negligence. Giving advice can help to decrease his thoughts and at least he may know that there are people who is willing to listen and talk to him about his problem.

It will be hard for a person that is already addicted to gambling, it's best to help him limit himself until he finally realized leaving his gambling addiction to prioritize the things he needs to do.
551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with Fiat or Crypto? on: November 19, 2019, 06:42:46 AM
I like gambling with crypto but the last I checked the anonymous was not only the reason some people chose to use the crypto gambling site because there is still some crypto gambling site that requires KYC from their customers when huge winning or withdraws is involved and people still use them.
I think the major reason why people choose the crypto gambling site is the ease of gambling and almost instant withdraw despite the cheap transaction fee.

one of the things I like gambling to use crypto is anonymous, because if gambling using fiat in my country is too dangerous, I could go to jail. on the other hand, the ease of using crypto is very instant, like when I gamble on DirectBet. yes I do not like it, currently there are so many kyc systems in the crypto world, whereas initially I used crypto because it was anonymous.
If the purpose why you use crypto gambling site is because of the anonymity, i will advice you to know the site youre going to use very well because sport gambling site require KYC from customer at some point and the part of you going to jail because you gamble make me believe gambling is illegal in your country and if that's the case i will advice you stay away from gambling so you won't have problems with the law.
Yes, not like a few years ago, I still enjoy playing gambling without Kyc system, but after using Kyc system, I don't play gambling anymore.
but why do they have to know our identity? I'm afraid my data will leak and be reported to the authorities.
Maybe because in some countries, their people not allowed to play gambling. For example, in some gambling sites they said that people from country A, B , C , D restricted to play in their sites. Maybe with that they avoid problem that can come when people from that countries play in their sites. But actual reason, is they who know, we can only speculate in here. But for me, there are a lot of other site that not ask their users to do KYC. So i will play in that sites, for now i use Sportsbet.
of course this is about religion, some countries with the majority of these religions, they will block gambling sites. well, here's why I use bitcoin for gambling, because most of the bitcoin gambling sites don't get blocked.
I don't think that religion have something to do with the  blocking of gambling sites in a certain country. It is because of the implementation of the law and country people has nothing to do but to obey orders from their government.
Some gambling site requires KYC verification to avoid getting into a mess, they prefer to abide the law of a certain country and respect it for their own good.
552  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you close your Bank account, when your Bank turn against Crypto? on: November 19, 2019, 04:03:56 AM
For me is hard to make cash from Bitcoins without a bank account, because sell bitcoins for cash in a third world country isn't secure at all. So, if the banks turn against crypto in my country i would find the way to sell my BTC  with a bank transfer making it looks like I'm selling some other stuff.  But closing the bank account isn't an option at all for now.

Lucky me, I can cash out my bitcoin even without a bank account. As I have option to cash it out with my local remittance centers and other means. So technically, I am not tied with my local banks. But to answer OP's question, I won't close my bank account. There are still financial transactions that needs to be done via my bank account. So even if they are not pro-crypto, would still use their services.
Same situation with cashing out bitcoin... And also it's hard to just close your bank account just because they don't support bitcoin. When your account is important to you as well as the bank, I won't close mine. It's normal for banks to not be supportive with crypto though... Unless if I'm facing problems with the bank, with regards to my involvement with cryptocurrency, I might consider it and move to another bank depending on the situation.
That is the good thing with local financial services that offers other options when withdrawing their funds from bitcoin or other crypto. But not every country have the same option.
It's true, an option of closing a bank account will depend on your own satisfaction in their service and not because they are just against crypto. Finding an alternative option to cash out funds from crypto can be solved easily without closing your bank account.
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Gathering Ideas for New Site on: November 18, 2019, 02:30:22 PM
Survey done.

I personally would diversify into different fields of gambling gradually, but starting with the classic dice. I think that is still the most popular, but people nowadays want to get more enjoyment out of their money than just the dice alone.

Perhaps a site with multiple modes of betting, sort of like what Bitsler and Stake has going on. Sports betting is a huge plus as well, but it would be difficult to pull off especially if you don't have the necessary licenses and connections.
I can say that Dice game is somehow saturated already considering on the total numbers of dice sites as of this moment which means you would need to build up which looks and way more better than the current one or else you would end up on failure.Competition is high with gambling industry here on crypto that's why before doing some launching be sure
that you are offering something new to the eyes of gamblers to gain some traction or attention.
I do agree, dice game becomes so popular and there are increasing numbers of dice sites nowadays.
I think collecting card games from different countries might give OP an idea. It is very common for a gambling site to have poker, blackjack, baccarat, etc. What if adding more card games to relate to people or to learn new card games, I think it would be better.
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum ERC20 Tokens Are Gaining in Total Market Capitalization on: November 18, 2019, 12:14:26 PM
My friend, you should look at the (real) volume before you consider its market capitalization to be legit. For example, I could create an ERC-20 token, let's call it (SHIT) with the total supply of 1,000,000 SHIT and listed it on small exchanges. Then I bought 100 SHIT using $100. Is that mean that the SHIT market cap is now $1,000,000 ? Obviously not if it's not liquid (low "real" volume).
This is the reason i like the move of rating all coins based on liquidity on CoinMarketCap instead of volume, fake volumes are still a big problem on many crypto exchange till date, its our call to make sure we choose wisely
I do agree since recently coinmarketcap shows fake volumes and it does affect everyone.

https://ambcrypto.com/coinmarketcap-launches-liquidity-metric-to-counter-fake-trading-volumes/
As you can see, CMC launches liquidity metrics since they can't do anything about fake volumes for now and it highly affects everyone.
They somehow take back their good reputation because of this.
555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anonymous Gambling and Self Exclusion on: November 18, 2019, 11:37:23 AM
I think it's time betting websites will take the issue of self-exclusion more seriously or alternatively face legal issues from class action lawsuits that gamblers can file against those sites in the short or long term.
I kind of agree with them taking self-exclusion more seriously since sometimes gamblers need to be forcefully stopped from gambling.
Actually, this should be their main focus to stop those gamblers who are more addicted to gambling which is not really good not only to them but also to their family.

I think it's time betting websites will take the issue of self-exclusion more seriously or alternatively face legal issues from class action lawsuits that gamblers can file against those sites in the short or long term.
but why would the gambling site face responsibility on something out of their control?
I think it is because only the site can limit their users, they are the only one who has the capability to do it.
556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you any new ideas to replace the KYC? on: November 18, 2019, 10:47:08 AM
The crypto market is decentralized, we live here as anonymous and free and we love it! But this KYC process is killing the anonymity of crypto! To invest in a good IEO you need to verify KYC, to do a good bounty project, you will have to go through KYC! But why? You guys are doing nothing with our KYC, then why you keep asking our identity? A selfie by holding my ID card, wtf! Did we ever ask you to verify your KYC when you launch a project/bounty?  Why you are not coming with another option where a freedom crypto member doesn't need to show his face?

Ok, guys, now my question to you, Have you any idea what can be good to replace the KYC method?
Nothing and this should never exist.

To be honest, no one would do such a silly thing, we here know anonymity is very necessary and outline for the blockchain.

I regret ever doing this to get what is rightfully ours.
It does exist so even if we wanted to get rid of it, it will be impossible.
We do, but there are some companies that apply centralization to their project and KYC verification is necessary for that project.
I think you should never regret it because as long as the company does not violate the privacy law, your identity is still safe even if you undergo KYC verification.
557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 6 on: November 17, 2019, 10:23:52 AM
If they just announce free bet, then I am not going to try it because probably we are not going to make anything from that free bet.It will be just waste of our time and effort just try that luck of hitting jackpot from few bucks on own own and get peaceful sleep after that. Cheesy
Who knows, if you are lucky enough maybe you can win. Just by participating, you have an opportunity to win without a bet. Just because it's free, it doesn't mean that there is no actual winning that will happen, you will never know until you try or experience winning for the first time.
558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Need to Reconsider Holding altcoins on: November 17, 2019, 08:15:12 AM
Quote
A closer look on these two altcoins will make you have a rethink about holding some altcoins, what to hold and Not to sell off everything if you have to sell. Both token raised from zero usd to a high price. even contesting with the top 100 coins on CMC. i am sure there are other altcoins that made this moves in the market but it's quite unfortunate that few people are holding such while some has sold off.

So, before you make that decision of selling off everything that you have in wallet because the market is down and out. please reconsider before you regret your moves. you might be holding a token that worth millions in the next 2 years.

Unlikely.

Coins like these happen once in a blue moon, and there are many more examples of coins that went to absolute zero and have a dead chain essentially and never have recovered in 2-3 years time.

Don't blindly hold. I think that's the most rational thing to do. Only hold if you have reason to. If there are no long term fundamentals to back up your decision to hold then it's really a dumb thing to do .
That's why he said that OP might consider his decision before taking an action. "you might be holding a token that worth millions in the next 2 years."
It happens once in a blue moon and this might be it.

But the decision will still depend on OP, he can exchange it to a better altcoin in the market to at least guarantee of making a profit when bull run comes.
559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why are you gambling? on: November 17, 2019, 06:52:44 AM
If the first day we made a win in the bet. Definitely the next day want to bet again and hope in the heart will win. But to win every day in the bet, it's not possible. So maybe every day a bet could be in two weeks only once won, or in a week can once win. Maybe for me that, I always hope to win in the gambling.
Actually, all gamblers belong to number 3, I even include my self since I also hope to win every time I play.
3.Hope for a win- How much did you earn in one day?
We do hope to win each and every day. It is not possible if you are lucky enough to win every time you play. But we all know that there is no such thing, even in gambling there are ups and downs.

I gamble just because of the fun of it, I am an ardent soccer lover I always deploy my skills in analyzing and predicting soccer matches to bet thus enjoying the fun of it while always cautious of the amount of money I use to place my bet of course maximum of 2% of my investment.
I am not a gambling addict thus nobody knows my habit as a gambler because I anonymously do my things thanks to internet and cryptocurrencies.
The same goes here. This is the second reason why I gamble, to have fun. Aside from hoping I am looking for fun and to kill some time.
I also play anonymously and not a gambling addict like other people.

560  Economy / Economics / Re: Does China Control Bitcoin? on: November 16, 2019, 02:55:15 PM
Isn't Bitcoin decentralized and without of control of any country or institution? So, how could then China control Bitcoin and what are actuall indicators to prove that?
For me this is another conspiracy theory and I don't pay much attention to that.
Chinese bitcoiners and chinese miners are influental in community but we can't talk on control.
Yes, it is fully decentralized and not even a powerful country has control over it.
I also don't remember that they lift the ban on bitcoin in their country. They adopt blockchain technology but there is no news update regarding that, it is clear that they don't control it.
