the most rabidly right wing Brit would probably be regarded as a commie pinko begging to be relieved of their life by their American counterpart.

You noticed that too?

What most countries consider basic public healthcare is considered to be an affront to liberty, democracy, capitalism, and the American Way by many Americans.

Wasting zillions of dollars on the military, prisons, law enforcement, surveillance of citizens, and defense of corporations is OK though.

American politics seems to make residents far, far angrier than anywhere else and they can barely bring themselves to associate with those at other ends of the spectrum.

Maybe it has to do with having a basically 2-party system. That tends to polarize. Those not in power tend to feel disenfranchised and resentful.

Minority governments on the other hand, tend to build consensus.

Just my 2 satoshis.

I worked for a hostel a long time ago and spoke about politics to both americans and canadians, and it's weird how uptight americans are about politics. Canadians had no problem with it. I kind of think of canadians as americans without a personality disorder.

Let me guess.

You're British?

I'll pick up another two or three coins next week.

Did that yesterday.

Buy the dips. Build the stash.

How come you canucks are so much more chill than those disloyal to The Crown down south?

I think it has to do with patiently waiting for winter to be over every year.

As for disloyalty, don't tell our southern neighbors that. They prefer to think of George Washington as a patriot rather than a traitor who was disloyal to his king, and Benedict Arnold as a traitor rather than a loyal subject of George III. Go figure.   Cheesy

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Took back half of yesterday's loss I see. Over $240 again today?

Still basically sideways, no moon, no double digits.

Isn't waiting fun?

A guy who can't spell his own name shouldn't fool with sarcasmeses.

Do you realize that Fonzie the troll and Fonsie the troll-baiter are 2 different posters?

Good morning Bitcoinland. Another small dip today.

Once again I was lucky to have been awakened early so I got to rush down and make a small purchase.

Held some cash back in case it dips even further.

I'd go back to bed except my cleaning lady is due any time now.

Guess I'll have to make do with coffee. Mmmm.

Who is afraid of the big scary asks on finex.

Smiley

It reminds me of yesterday just before the 7k coin dump.

The bids were stacked up in huge walls towering over a flatland of asks. It might have appeared to a beginner that the price was about to soar up.

Instead it dipped by $10.

Now it's the other way around. The asks tower over the flat bids. It just proves how unreliable the order book is as a prediction tool.

It could go either way.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Sideways again I see. Small dip overnight didn't last long.

Ho hum.

Coffee is black and tastes like piss and coal

Well, my beer of choice is Guinness Extra Stout and some people think that tastes like piss and coal, but it's much too early for happy hour and beer doesn't contain nearly enough caffeine for this early in the morning (11:00AM Toronto time).

Besides, I soften my joe with 18% cream. Now you've got me resisting the urge to use a little non-dairy coffee sweetener.

I will not add Bailey's... I will not add Bailey's... I will not add Bailey's...

I'll just have to make do with Mocha-Java. Mmmm.
That one almost got you on ignore, Buster!

LOL You don't like Mocha-Java with it's fine balance of of Yemeni chocolatey richness and Indonesian acidity?

Maybe I could try kopi luwak but I'm afraid it would taste like shit (palm civet shit that is).

 Cheesy

Oh dear, down 9 dollars. Pretty big market sell to achieve that. Bids held up well and no follow-through selling yet.

Let's see what develops.

I might buy if we drop lower.

Maybe I jumped the gun by rushing out and buying on a mere $10 dip but when I saw that almost nobody was biting at the bait and panic selling after a sizable manipulation dump, I figured I'd better grab while the grabbing was good.

The order book at Finex seems to indicate support above $240 so that might have been it for now but we all know that hidden orders can skew the book. Time will tell.
5417  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 08, 2015, 02:16:19 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland. We finally got a little movement, I see.

$10 isn't much of a dip to buy on but I suppose it's better than no dip at all so I'm glad I was up really early today and had a chance to rush down and buy a few more coins while the price was down.

By the time I got home the skid had slowed and the price had actually risen a couple of bucks. Lucky timing I guess.

How long now before we're back up over $250 or do we finally break below $240 after a week of failed attempts?

In lieu of popcorn I'll just have to make do with Mocha-Java. Mmmm.

Get out while you still can. You've been warned.

Haven't you heard the news?! Bitcoin is dead, all Bitcoin related activity ceased yesterday.

How much time to land on moon?  Grin

It already landed on the moon when it went from a 5th of a penny to over a dollar per coin in 2 years.

Now that it's dead it doesn't matter any more though, does it?

C'mon bro, Bitcoin died in 2011. Everyone knows that.

Hey everybody! Are we over $800 yet? That's supposed to happen soon right? 2 weeks?

No. It's sub-$100 bitcoins that were supposed to happen in 2 weeks.

Followed by sub-$10 bitcoins the week after that.

It's CopCoins that are supposed to be worth $800 in 2 weeks.

Get your facts straight.
