5401  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 14, 2020, 11:06:37 PM
Okay, so I'm wondering... in the "contest" you see these people who wager soooooo much money.
In just 14 days, the first one on the ranking has wagered over 323 BTC, which is roughly just over 3 million USD.

How do they do that? I mean, you must have an enormous amount of BTC in your account to be able to spend that on Multiply, you need a lot of guts to spend those amounts on Betting... I'm really puzzled... Sure, they win +2000 USD almost every day, but still. Can anyone explain?
That is a very simple question though because maybe they had a lot of money to play with.
But it doesn't mean the 3 million USD is the entire capital of course.

Expected loss on three million wagered is 150,000$, since Freebitcoin house edge is higher than average and is 5%

Freebitco.in was/is faucet site and it appears on top google search for free bitcoin or bitcoin for newbie . When you were a newbie in a crypto world and you see how easy it is to get bitcoin also at the same time you can gamble to get more , what would you expect? Most people will just gamble and once they lose, they might be curious to keep trying without any understanding of the house edge

I've just read these words from the WHO and it made me feel sad.

As new clusters emerge, WHO warns virus may be here to stay

A lot of us were affected, our families, jobs, businesses, living and many other important things to survive. But, we have to remain strong and firm and we shouldn't let ourselves feel that there's no hope. It's ok to be sad but we will survive.

Unless there is a vaccine then sadly everyone has a chance to be infected. The only thing we can do right now is to start a new life but with some safe health protocol to follow such as wearing mask whenever you go out. Things cant really go back to where it was immediately but things can definitely go slowly back to where it was

It might take few months or atleast year but atleast we could go back to it slowly
5403  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic outcome on: May 14, 2020, 07:52:34 PM
things are really going crazy. In some developing countries the price for essentials like foodstuffs are getting really high and people can't afford it, the governments are not doing much to support their citizens, and people are still losing their jobs on top lol.

The bitter fact is that you pay the country where you live, in term of tax but You cant expect the country to pay for your food because there are thousand or even more people that is suffering without food right now. If someone is still sitting down with their phone and internet connection that means he doesnt really need any help at all

Some people claimed they are poor but in fact they are just so much better than the majority homeless people that still has to beg for food from someone else or they wont be able to eat

5405  Economy / Economics / Re: Chinese Strategy? on: May 13, 2020, 09:48:41 PM
If China really took the lead in creating and disseminating this virus, would they want to sympathize with allied nations, especially Russia, for whom they have been so cruel? I heard on the radio news this morning that the virus and the Russian prime ministers have also been infected. It's just sad to think that many are still infected and not finished.

There is a point here that when the crisis is over, China expects that they will be furious because they are to blame for this worldwide epidemic.

There is no point for China to keep everything for themselves. The whole world and country works is pretty much mutual in term of economy. Imagine how bad the economy will turn into if they keep the vaccine for themselves. Things could be bad for their economy as well assuming that another country is still heavily infected and those infection might sooner or later affect them

The only way to stop it is to lock everything down which means they are sacrificing their own economy to do that

* That assuming they really created a vaccine
5406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 13, 2020, 09:13:27 PM
So, this is not just about football at all, this is more about the city itself and if you want to play football in their city, you do need to go well with them, otherwise they could make the games a misery for you and they do have that right to do that. I think nothing will happen in the end tho.

He doesnt have any power to do that nor do he has any intention to do anything to it. Dont forget that once thing settle down and the whole world is free from the pandemic, the city will then be flooded by tons of fans again so that means a whole lot revenue for the city

Not sure what his intention is regarding his statement but I can guess is that either he is looking for a stage to talk about this stuff ( some attention seeking guy ) or he wants some money to be slipped into his pocket  Grin
5407  Economy / Gambling / Re: #2 Bitcointalk Poker Series (0.05 BTC & BIG BTC Ticket sponsored by SwC Poker) on: May 13, 2020, 01:56:50 PM
I noticed now its the same few people sitting there all the time. They are pro hoovers

Those guy are mostly the same as everyone that usually plays on the 750k guaranteed on sunday. Whoever that win the grand final will receive ticket to join the 750k guaranteed game . The vibe and tension could be very different there as those people could be considered as "pro"

We will have 5k starting stacks for the first time.

Nicely done Efialtis  Smiley

Lets see what kind of complaint that you will get next week . I kinda see that they are atleast some complaint in this second series after the 1st week regardless of how good the tournament was in the first series
5408  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. on: May 12, 2020, 09:12:08 PM
It is interesting to see how people really think they are actually capable of having so much power when they do not. Sportsbet literally puts their name on the Watford jersey, a team that is playing on the most watched football league all over the world, literally premier league, probably every game there is at least a million people watching all over the world, and on most games a lot more.

Some newbie account comes here and says that "sportsbet is scam, anyone who defends them will be on this list and I will make a reputation topic about it as well!!". You know why? Cause you can't sue anyone when there is nothing wrong going on, so you think a bitcointalk topic is a big power move that you can do, which NOBODY would care about. Why don't you help us and tell us in detail what you think is wrong and we can work together to help you out and that way you will be happy and that is much better isn't it?

Most people just weird to begin with so yeah perhaps they could just be seeking for attention, butthurt or either have some real issue but I guess the later was out of the equation .

If I got some issue with the site, I wouldnt be sitting down infront of my computer and post in this forum. I would be sending my issue deep straight into their customer service to get things sorted out for real

Paid 6 million dollars for that sponsorship as well. Have been running for YEARS now, thousands of dollars given away, done a ton of charities as well.

Wow I never know that the amount is 6 million dollars
5409  Economy / Economics / Re: The pandemic outcome on: May 12, 2020, 06:54:51 PM
recently I realized that world economy and each country individually are profiting from investors and hodlers who live off of dividends and trading profits
simply because even if they are not investing in own country's company, they still are spending spare money in it

Not everyone could get some profit from trading , so even if someone trade regularly during the quarantine doesnt mean that he gets some profit. It could be the other way around and he lost some money

The first thing I will do is tighten up unnecessary spending. I will narrow the investment, collect the invested amounts to minimize the outside assets. I will also store strong foreign currencies like USD, CNY for hoarding. I would also buy Bitcoin and strong coins to invest, instead of investing in forex

Hoarding Some other currencies like USD , Euro or other currency doesnt mean you will be able to liquidify it anytime you want. There are alot of people that think like that so when it is time to liquidify everything then I expect your local money exchanger might not be able to take on all request ( different stuff if you hoard cryptocurrency lol )
5410  Economy / Economics / Re: Chinese Strategy? on: May 12, 2020, 03:16:36 PM
Well may sound true indirectly as a question about the true origin of the virus is still lingering and USA still accusing china of holding back information to that effect.

You know what the sad part is ? The whole world especially USA is still trying to accuse China for it instead of treating their own citizen. Although they spread is now slowing down and casualties decreased every single day but the threat for the humanity is still there

You can find the latest data here https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

For now US is leading as #1 most casualties country and most deaths for now

Worldwide with 4,294,821 cases and 288,992 deaths ( around 25% came from US alone )

- Personally I didn't really care about late registration because after all - it's not generally an advantage to join even after 50 minutes, is it? ... Provided we are playing some nice poker, it shouldn't be. Still, I will talk with the hosts and see what we can do.

To clarify before I start writing this, I do agree to cut down the late registration or even have no late registration at all

You still needs to be lucky to get to the top spot  Roll Eyes

FOMA was there when I ( I am one of the late register player ) was down to 500 chips and all those big stacks keep pressuring me whenever I am paying the blind however lucky hands save my ass  Wink

I am almost out before I even got into top 10 lol, late registration doesnt really save your ass at all if you are not lucky  Grin

I just got lucky to be on the top spot this week and I could probably not going to make to the grand final lol as well. Even if someone "claimed" that they are better than most player , it doesnt means they will qualify for the grand final if they are not lucky

Even some of the top contender in the first series got shot out early on the game
5412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 11, 2020, 09:56:24 PM

Maybe but still not certain. The club may be able to force players just because they are still have contract but for some players who break contracts such as not wanting to play, the club will take decisive action and one of them is not paid.

From a different point of view, I seem to be rather supportive of players who refuse to play for health reasons which they must maintain when a pandemic situation still exists, and they must accept the consequences such as not being paid.

Some player may be able to force their own way to not play during this pandemic if they are superstar like Messi or Ronaldo but for majority of the player, they will need to play in accordance to their own contract. There isnt much to speculate right now unless there is some official news regarding this and how will they start the league
5413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 11, 2020, 06:19:12 PM
The thing is the virus won’t go away until there’s a vaccine which could he years away. We’re just going to have to learn to live with it.

If players test positive quarantine them away from the rest of the squad. B&Q don’t shut all their stores & cewse trading if one employee gets covid19. We must try to get the world restarted.

Dont contradict your own words about this virus, if there is no vaccine at all that means extra precautions might be needed not that you should live your life as usual and hope the virus doesnt infect you

Trust me, you dont want that to happen to you nor to any of your favourite player  Smiley . Even if the player managed to survive or atleast not showing any deadly symptoms, their lives will really be on a borderline between dead or alive. Even I dont think all those top player will be willing to risk their lives playing in such condition unless there are some extra precautions.
5414  Economy / Gambling / Re: #2 Bitcointalk Poker Series (0.05 BTC & BIG BTC Ticket sponsored by SwC Poker) on: May 11, 2020, 06:13:41 PM
Why? there are still 6 more games to go and at this point everyone still have a chance to get into the grand final

Yes, in theory everyone can still make it. I guess you could make the final by playing only three tourneys (but you would have to minimum Top3 in all of them Grin ). Realistically though, I am missing the skill to make any noise.

I always had a love-hate relationship with Poker Roll Eyes I am admiring people, who are able to make good money longterm (or a living) with it, because for me this is unthinkable - not because of the difficulty to master the game itself, but because it's so time-consuming, you are a prisoner to your computer and the mental part is so huge. Sportsbetting is already a rollercoaster, but Poker is so much worse for my liking.

So I just play Poker from time to time, if there is nothing else to do like during these Corona times. My beloved Bundesliga will start again on the weekend and watching/betting some football brings me more joy than playing the devils game called Poker Wink
[/quote]

Well the thing is that it doesnt really needs some skill to be good at this game. Someone could be very good to be able to fold at the right time without having to lose alot of chips or be able to call some bluff. However if luck is not on your side, even someone with bad cards and some bluff could win the game although you have a pair of Ace

but because it's so time-consuming, you are a prisoner to your computer and the mental part is so huge

Yes it is really time consuming indeed and thats how most people lose out in the end after they made it quite good after the first or second break imo  Sad
5415  Economy / Gambling / Re: #2 Bitcointalk Poker Series (0.05 BTC & BIG BTC Ticket sponsored by SwC Poker) on: May 11, 2020, 01:04:50 PM
33% vs 66% is not too shabby, if you can eliminate a player risking only few chips. Hhampuz had a bit of "bad luck", because he only had one live card, since you had the T too. But it's still only 22% vs 75% in your favour. It was a suckout, but happens all the time in poker. You sucked out players too in the past in guess Wink Part of the game.

Happened to me last night when I was under 1500 chips, all those with higher chip stack keep pressuring me with higher stake whenever I have the big or small blind. Part of the strategy indeed and I consider this as smart play to pressure someone because once you got 10 or 9 people on the game that means it is almost safe that you might secure some point

since I don't have any chances to reach the Grand Final anyway, I don't feel urged to play every tournament.

Why? there are still 6 more games to go and at this point everyone still have a chance to get into the grand final
5416  Economy / Gambling / Re: #2 Bitcointalk Poker Series (0.05 BTC & BIG BTC Ticket sponsored by SwC Poker) on: May 11, 2020, 10:28:50 AM
thank you figmentofmyass  and TyKiwanuka Smiley Was fun yesterday.
But this TikTok guys made me sick Cheesy

It was nothing more than lucky hands, I was down to almost 500 chips and made a comeback with few lucky hands that was all. It was a fun game last night when we were the last two standing but I got greedy and went all in hoping that you wouldnt catch my bad hands but Yeah I wasnt lucky until the end

I guess you cant be lucky everytime but considering how I was at 500 chips and managed to get top 2 is just like a miracle, I was just aiming for #10 as I think I wouldnt stay much longer Grin

I will ask SwC to reduce Late registration (20 minutes) - thanks for the input guys. It's only normal it will take some time before we sort out such details but please also keep in mind I can't ask them to edit stuff every couple of days - we don't want to become a pain, do we. Wink

The comeback of tiktok is impressive. At some point he had less than 500 chips and now he has over 3k chips!!! damn!

Was having a lucky card that got me some chips, ended up second though probably because my luck runs out  Cheesy. Nah Im just kidding, the last player was really good indeed

i did notice a couple people joined at the very end of late registration today. with bigger starting stacks, i think we should limit it, otherwise it starts becoming kinda EV+ to join late.

+1 on cutting it to 30 minutes.

+1 to this as well or probably make it 15-20 minutes , Im one of the player that got in late ( in fact very late , Sorry about this guys Smiley ).

GG's all! Tonight was a fun tourny  Grin

Was fun playing with you as well  Cheesy

Impressive TiktokLyfe still is going strong. 7.7k chips. At some stage he had less than 500 chips!

It was nothing more than luck so yeah but at the end 1r0nic was really good  Cheesy

Damn got another 13th position for the fifth time in current and last tourney. Not sure why 13 loves me.

It is probably your lucky number 13  Lips sealed

he should thank me. Tongue

I guess I should, Thankyou mate  Grin

Was a really good game with you guys this night, So sorry I couldnt chat in the game though  Smiley
5418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 10, 2020, 06:16:18 PM
There is not any point in reducing the minutes played in order to protect the players.
If they will be about to get infected this can happen from the first minute of the match and not only in the last 15 minutes.

You dont get it, it could be because they are trying to preserve the stamina of the player.

Those players are going to play a hell lot of games to finish the league on schedule therefore they are trying to preserve some stamina and also the weaker you are means the lower your immune system is so higher chance for the player to get infected . These could be just my assumption but it could be their consideration as well regarding the world is still on pandemic

Do you plan to add VIP program?
I am thinking for long-term players it might be better to add some rewards for their loyalty.

Of course we do. We plan to give out more bonuses for those who wagered a lot and is a long term players on the platform.

Feel free to comment on what kind of bonuses or rewards you would like to see.

VIP program usually something like rakeback or lossback but I prefer rakeback based on how much I have wagered on the site. Better if you add it as soon as possible and would be better as well if the VIP program is competitive enough compared to other sites. Perhaps you can give bigger percentage or lower wagered amount to reach the VIP program.

Actually they did have some sort of daily wager competition before when I was testing the site. Not sure why it is taken down for now but probably because it is not worth for now as most people are just there to test the site instead of gambling. So it holds some potential in the future that those kind of thing might be back on the site

I wrote it here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5245185.msg54345138#msg54345138

Newcastle still not getting new owners from Saudi Arabia but they are already seriously preparing for the new season.
They have in mind to bring in a dozen new players and create a mega-team that will attack the top of the league.
They seem to be very close to bringing in a Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos.
It is a very good goalkeeper who has conceded only 14 goals in the Championship.
Newcastle are likely to pay him £60m.

Where are they gonna get the money from for that? all the clubs are going broke. I expect the transfer market to be a mess when it gets back going,

The whole world is in a mess right now because of the pandemic so things could be not as expected as it was. Some mediocre team might not be signing many player that they were expecting to sign because of this

unless its all just on paper dollars.

Paper dollars (?) , Nah I dont think some player will be accepting that kind of term because it really puts them in disadvantage if suddenly something bad happened to the club and they really got no further investor
