5401  Economy / Gambling / Re: Opening a new gambling website 2020' on: February 24, 2020, 04:54:17 AM
The reason why you are getting tons of critisisms is because of the way you are presenting your site. Generally when a site is half finished, poorly designed, bad english, unprofessional ANN in this forum then 9 times out of 10 it was a scam in the past.

You might be legit and not scam people but the way you desribe everything makes it seem like you just want to make a quick buck scamming people. Take the site offline, finish it properly, correct all the errors, read the comments in this thread and follow them and then relaunch it.

We also need some proof of provably fair and some form of cold storage to prove solvency. You should sign your BTC address with todays date and a message to prove you have enough funds to pay out the gamblers incase the site becomes slightly unprofitable temporarily due to variance.
5402  Economy / Gambling / Re: SATOSHI MINES on: February 23, 2020, 05:32:44 AM
Out of boredom I put his text into google translate to find out what happened.

Basically is saying that Satoshimines is scamming people and the FBI has been notified. Saying that they want the owner of Satoshimines arrested and it will make them very happy. Then something about finding the satoshimines cold storage BTC wallet and contacting their bank so they can get a refund. Saying that they have stolen of 1 million dollars since 2016 and crushed many peoples dreams. And by crushing peoples dreams you lose double or triple the amount of money you stole or result in death.

Most likely google translate is not fully accurate however it seems that they were scammed a while back and for some reason come back now to get a refund. Pretty sure the OP of this topic won't be replying anytime soon. Sorry for your loss.
5403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer E3 not mining ETC after new Epoch on: February 23, 2020, 03:44:14 AM
I dont think its a dag size issue, it was mining ETC for months, then all of a sudden got errors like crazy and hash dropped to around 50 on everyone, yet everyone mines ETH flawless, so something with ETC pool? Im not the exert, ive tried a lot of different URL's, but all ETC's give same problem, yet ETH is trucking along on everyone

ETH and ETC aren't on the same DAG size. ETH had that Iceage a few years ago that made it have 30 second blocktimes and it made it fall behind on the blocks generated.

Go here and look,
https://investoon.com/tools/dag_size

ETH is on #317 and uses 3.48GB while ETC is on #328 and uses 3.56GB.

This is almost a 100mb difference and it might account for these issues.
5404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What to mine? Ancient rig on: February 23, 2020, 03:41:23 AM
Besides ETH and ETC you can pretty much mine any algorithm with them however its just not worth it for many reasons.

First reason is that its an old GPU and the miner software is not optimized. Reason why is because the people who code the miner software like Claymore have no incentive to optimize an old GPU that nobody uses.

Second issue is that they are old 32nm technology and use tons of power. These days people consider the RX series power hogs when they consume slightly more than 100 Watts each. The 280X consumes almost 200 watts and thats when its undervolted. During the LTC days I had those gpus pulling over 350Watts each.

If you are patient some kid will buy it off Craiglist eventually. That's how I sold all my 280X. It took a while but eventually they all sold. Some bought it for gaming and some for rendering youtube videos.
5405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer E3 not mining ETC after new Epoch on: February 23, 2020, 03:36:27 AM
From what I understand the E3 has 18 sets of ASICs each with 4GB of ram if I recall correctly? They really should of put more memory on these things knowing that growing DAG size.

The DAG size is also a big issue for GPUs, because many with 4GB have issues with mining already, especially under Win10. I am surprised that you guys are having issues with E3 since it uses a small OS and I didn't think that the OS loaded many system resources on the RAM like Win10 does on the GDDR. But its pretty sad how you should have almost 500mb worth of available memory but due to some bug, you are running out of space already.

Only solution is to remove some running memory resources from your ASICs and see if it starts to work again. However I have no idea if your firmware is open source or not. Maybe there will be a 3rd party solution due to this problem.
5406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What to mine? Ancient rig on: February 23, 2020, 12:18:09 AM
I actually had those GPUs for like 5 years.

Mined BTC then LTC then Darkcoin then ETH then ZEC then XMR.

When XMR forked to a new algo they became useless pretty much. Even with free power they are not worth mining anything. You can't mine ETH because the DAG won't fit. You can mine low DAG coins like Expanse but there is almost no profit.

Sell them on Craigslist for like $50.
5407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: February 22, 2020, 05:11:32 PM
Looks like the first Ethereum asic ever released is coming to its end of life. According to a few people it no longer can mine ETC which is on Epoch 328.

Ethereum is about 11 epoch behind so it's about 55 days from being rendered useless. I wonder how many of the E3 miners are in existence and what effect it will have on the overall hashrate for ETH.

We will see what happens to the ETC hashrate after this however usually the ETC has a lot of volatility due to pool switching between ETH and ETC.
5408  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to choose correct coin for Day Trading on: February 22, 2020, 05:27:16 AM
The only coins that you can really day-trade are ETH and BTC. The rest just don't have enough volatility and liquidity to make it worth while. If you want to trade more alts you can probably swing trade (not day trade) the top 10 (except tether) altcoins listed on Coinmarketcap.

Generally the future alts listed on Bitmex have very good swing opportunities from time to time. You also get decent leverage too. Only issue is that except for ETH and XRP, most of them are paired with BTC and not with fiat. So your trades will be mostly centered with respect to BTC.

If you want to day trade more, then you should just switch to forex. Many opportunites there.
5409  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Halving 2020 prediction! on: February 22, 2020, 05:23:46 AM
What I think will happen is very similar to what happened during the LTC halving we had earlier.

I think we will keep rallying up until the halving, no idea what price though. But we might hit the high of June 2019, and right after the halving we will get a sell-off. And we won't hit a new ATH until 2021 or so.

Why? Because there are too many people who are way too bullish on this bitcoin halving. Everybody expects BTC to go up due to the halving and most likely the complete opposite will happen as usual.
5410  Economy / Speculation / Re: Scammers move 12k BTC - dump is comming? on: February 22, 2020, 05:18:47 AM
Most likely it will either be kept in this cold storage address for years or they will do what they did before and just send it to Huobi and sell it there. From what I heard their OTC desk doesn't have as strict KYC and this is why they keep getting away with it.

Another reason could be that its impossible to tell which BTC is the scammers BTC and which is from the early investors for the Ponzi scheme. There are people that invested early and took profit and its difficult to seperate those coins from the scammer coins.

Either way, most likely it won't be sold at once to cause a flash crash, it would set off too many alarms that way.
5411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is there any software which choose best profitable coin for your GPU/CPU ? on: February 22, 2020, 05:06:36 AM
Yes go to nicehash.com and download the software and make an account or link to your BTC address.

You can also just do it manually by going to www.whattomine.com and selecting your GPU and it will tell you which coin is most profitable.  Most likely there won't be any benefit to switching coins, usually ETH is currently most profitable and will be a while before something else has a higher profitability.

If you got RX series video cards just mine ETH or ETC. There is nothing else out there that is going to make you more money. Currently mining is overall not very profitable.
5412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Eth goes up a tiny bit and here come the what can i mine with a 580 threads 😂 on: February 22, 2020, 05:03:39 AM
According to the ETH dev call, the ProgPOW is a launch for July. So the RX 580 might have a useful life once again. Even though the ProgPOW seems to favor Nvidia's if the ASICs are eliminated from the network, maybe the profitability will go up to be marginally profitable and we might see $1/day/GPU of profits like the good old days.

The only issue with the 580 is if it has 4GB memory and those are already running into issues. My Windows 10 rigs had issued and I had to either switch to Win 7 or Linux. I wonder if we will get this issue with ProgPOW.

Regarding selling and buying Nvidia 1070, you are going to take a huge loss on the RX and pay a large premium for the 1070. There is huge demand for the 1070 due to gamers and almost no demand for the RX series.
5413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: February 22, 2020, 05:00:23 AM
Looks like ProgPOW is a go for Ethereum, launch sometime in July.

Basically according to this article,
https://cryptobriefing.com/ethereum-progpow-asic-resistance-concur-core-developers/

It links to a Youtube video which is the dev conference #81 and its 2hours long and didn't get a chance to watch the entire thing. However on the ethereum reddit they seem to confirm that ProgPOW is a go!

Anyone know if 4GB GPUs will work with ProgPOW or do they needed to be large enough to fit the current DAG file? Never used ProgPOW before.
5414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How many coins do you mine? Why? on: February 19, 2020, 05:29:02 PM
These days most people just mine ETH and they either hold that ETH or they sell daily for profit or they buy some other types of coins such as Bitcoin or altcoin.

A few years ago, it was very profitable to mine brand new coin which had very low difficulty and would be listed on exchanges in the near future. However these days its difficult for a new coin, especially POW to get added to a large exchange like Binanace. Back in 2015, many coins were easily added to Poloniex which was the highest volume exchange at the time.

So people used to instamine the coin for a few hours and a few days later, when it hit an exchange they would sell it for great profit. Usually 5x as much profit as mining LTC or whatever was the most GPU mineable coin at the time, these days the times have changed.
5415  Economy / Gambling / Re: GameCash.io - Colonel Blotto Game - BTC | ETH | ShapeShift on: February 19, 2020, 04:37:07 AM
Why shapeshift was mentioned? Is this gambling website powered by shapeshift if not what is your connection with them?
And I also see images of shapeshift in your website, Can you clarify this up?
Also in your terms, contact us. but there is no support email specified.
Just a presumption which this one is using shapeshift in terms of token conversions.I havent registered on the site though but i would test it out and will confirm.

This game is quite new and looks interesting and i would like to know on this particular question above;
but how to be sure you are playing against a real player and not just a bot that could easilly manipulate the result?

I think this also however Shapeshift for at least the last year or so is mostly KYC. Gone are the days when they just let you scroll to their website, pick which currency you want to convert, deposit to the given address and wait for your funds to arrive. Right now you need an account and for the account you require KYC.

Since the website GameCash.io says its KYC free, they should at least remove Shapeshift intergration for the time being since it doesn't really make sense to convert btc->eth or vice versa because most newbies know how to convert between these 2 crypto currencies. Pretty much there isn't any exchange out there that doesn't have at least ETH and BTC to trade.

Its sad because I've used Shapeshift alot in the past and it was convenient and them going KYC pretty much killed all their business.
5416  Economy / Gambling / Re: New casino on: February 19, 2020, 04:28:10 AM
Seems like the OP was actually active on 8th of Feb but didn't bother to even post a single reply. So I am assuming he just posted his website address and hyperlinked it to get some organic google traffic to his site.

Its been maybe 10-15 years since I did SEO (search engine optimization) but from what I remember the more websites that have a link to your site, google thinks its "important" and moves your link higher in the search results. So if there are like thousands of pages which seems to mention "luckydragon.us" then google will think "The site is great" and keep bumping it higher and higher. If a university or government domain links to it, then its even of higher rating.

So he most likely joined 1000's of forums and posted this one sentence on all of them and is just waiting a few months until he gets some retail traffic from a google search.

Well this is questionable since how could he benefit from those if he just want traffic and will get the same reviews from the people who see it?. Maybe the first poster is right maybe he is just phising some password to the user who tries to register on his site so better for this kind of attempts we should be careful since OP doesn't reply to any comments and might we are right for our assumptions that there are some fishy acts in the making here.

No this is not how Google Search spiders work. Basically if there is a website with thousands of links to it, then google assumes that the website must be important and they increase their ranking in the search results for particular search words, most likely the search words are "bitcoin gambling site" or "crypto gambling site", "etc".

They won't increase the ranking for this thread they will just increase it for the root of the luckydragon.us domain. So no users will actually stumble upon this thread because they would need to search for this thread and since the thread topic here doesn't even contain the word "luckydragon"then most likely it won't pop up in the search results.

Its either this or the stealing username/password idea. However many these days use unique passwords or at least use 2FA so don't know how succesful he thinks he will be.
5417  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✅ Paradice.in | 🍀 Provably Fair Casino 🎲 | Big Faucet | 0.5% House Edge 💰| on: February 19, 2020, 04:22:49 AM
If you guys are having this many issues with faucet abuse then you should just either lower the faucet or just remove the faucet all-together. Many of the big names dice sites have already done this because it just wasn't worth the headache in having to deal with the faucet abusers. Then you ban some faucet abuser and you got the headache of having to provide proof if they open a scam accusation against you. Just lower your faucet to an amount that its not worth abusing.

Also reading some comments on the scam accusation thread, it seems you would be better off changing your name. Many remember Paradice.to as that primedice phishing scam and the name alone has a bad reputation. It would be really beneficial to just rebrand yourself with a completely different name not to deal with the paradice.to reputation of the past. Because the phishing they did wasn't too long ago and many still remember them.
5418  Economy / Gambling / Re: Here are some great promotions for all of you! on: February 19, 2020, 04:09:36 AM
Oh look, another thread where you promote your site to generate referrals.

Pretty sure you're not allowed to do that in this section. Can mods confirm?

At least produce something of value if you're going to shamelessly keeping plugging your ugly site here.

I think that some of his threads already got deleted, I actually commented on one of his other threads not to post too many threads promoting his bitcoinchaser website because he will get those threads locked or deleted and it seems some of those got deleted.

Basically he writes a review for 1 website and makes a new thread in the gambling section for people to comment and review. He waits a few days and makes another new thread for another website.

I am wondering if these promos are actually unique to his website or if they are available for anybody that joins. The way he words it, makes it sound like its some special promos that most users don't have access too.
5419  Economy / Gambling / Re: SafeDICE.com ★ Bitcoin Dice ★ Monero ★ 0.5% Edge ★ Fast Cashout ★ Since 2014 on: February 18, 2020, 04:29:26 AM
I know this website is dead (I liked safedice very much) but as far as I remember owner stated that SDmod would take care of some things there. I just checked his account and as it seems, last activity of SDmod was in January 31, 2020 (5 days ago). Here is his account: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1941878
And also, since website is almost dead, why it still remains live? I think Safedice would be hosted on dedicated server and not on just random shared hosting or vps server). So it worths decent amount of money, who keeps it alive, why is it still alive?

Yes he was active however his last post was back in Summer of 2018. You guys can try and contact him but I doubt he will be of any help.

Regarding the web hosting. Basically these days webhosting is very cheap and most likely its prepaid for a few years up front. I think with Godaddy you get great rates if you prepay for 2 years or so. And if not then you can basically set up a recurring credit card payment and as long as the credit card is paid, the hosting should still be active.

The bigger issue is when the credit card expires and the admin has no way to contact the hosting provider with a new credit card number, then most likely it will eventually be shutdown.
5420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][$MUSIC] Musicoin Blockchain Upgrades to V3.0(“Quantitative Tightening 🎸 on: February 18, 2020, 04:26:38 AM
So is this the only working exchange for MUSIC?
https://dovewallet.com/en/trade/spot/music-btc

Keep in mind the price is with 9 digits not 8, so if its 17 sats, its actually 1.7 sats.

I am glad that its still alive and we are moving to an ERC20 token. The benefit of the ERC20 is that its easier to get listed on exchanges, basically as long as they are sync'd with ETH blockchain the coin can easily be added. Also decentralized exchanges are also much easier to get listed at with an ERC20 token.

So will there be some token swap? Send your MUSIC and get ERC20 in exchange?
