I think reaching the finals in the US open, push Medvedev to the 4th position already and should be switching places with Thiem, ranked 5th now.

@Royse777 - him winning Cincinnati open put his name in our radar. Also he won the Sophia Open early February this year so definitely he has the potential to be the next future number one here.

Yes I think they switch places and depending on how well Medvedev does in the tournaments coming up as we could see him finish in the top 3 at the end of the year. Medvedev is just under 2,000 points behind Federer so I'm not sure if he can achieve a top 3 finish but with the form he is in I wouldn't count him out on winning a few tournaments coming up. I think if Federer wins one of them or makes the final then he would shut Medvedev out of a top 3 finish. I think its going to be a great battle to see who finishes in the top 5 with Thiem holding it down right now but Zverev is closing in on him and lets not count out Tsitsipas who is just 1,100 points from the 5th ranking.

It's possible that Medvedev can still land inside the top 3 at the end of the tournament depending on his performance in the next tournament and of course we will have to see how Federer will perform as well.

His Cincinnati win lands him in the top 5, and then his runner-up in US Open push him in top 4. And there are still a lot of tennis tournaments in the this calendar year. Hope he remains healthy though, as this is one factor that can affect his performance and slow him down.

Well if he is able to continue on with the form he is in then it is looking likely that he will end the year ranked in the top 3 thanks to the other members here posting how the points are score for winning and making finals in the up coming tournaments. It will be interesting to see if Federer will play in most of the remaining tournaments to try and keep his top 3 rank.

I hope so, he really need to keep that form by entering lots of tournament prior to the end of the year. At least he can have so much experience and there's nothing to be ashamed if he ever does not land on the top 3.

@Trofo, @TravelMug - Thank you for the explanation about the tennis point.

I'm just wondering if Federer will take the rest of the season off and get ready for the start of the new season as I think it could be his last year next year. I think the big battle will be between Nadal and Djokovic for the number 1 ranking as Nadal is within striking distance. Nadal also has all the momentum right now so he could finish the year ranked number 1 once again.
Nadal already talking about this he wants to end this season as Number 1 and he is chasing this as now we have some good Tennis in Asia and his target is arriving here and completing his target which is not difficult as we watch recently only Medevedev is only player who can challenge him others have not potential like this Djokovic is also not 100% so in my view he can achieve this easily.

Nadal can definitely end the season as number one and he deserves it, as he’s put in lots of hard work despite his injuries he’s continued playing and kept on winning. Djokovic is a strong contender to stop him from claiming the first spot, but due to his recent injuries he may not be able to play all the tournaments now. Is there any site accepting bets on who’ll finish first this year, as I’m thinking of placing a bet on Nadal to finish first.
5402  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Forecasts on: September 14, 2019, 04:26:33 AM
I guess we are not getting anywhere than the $10,000 USD mark, And I think this is really a strong floor for the Bitcoin's price, And the high price we may reach if the price pump will be $12,000 USD and if it decreases, $9200 - $9300 mostly in this marks, up to the month of November in my opinion, Well I am guessing that the mark of December will be in the downtrend because of the holiday season more likely if we get a price increase in November the price will drop from $12,000 to $11,000 and if the price is in the downtrend the price will be almost just $9400 to $9100 in my opinion.

@YuginKadoya bitcoin has found new resistance at $9300 levels hence I don’t expect it to breach $9k, on the upside I believe we may see prices rise upwards to $13k or $15k levels in coming months. If you’ll have observed even when the prices were crashing it was able to recover from $9200 to $10300 levels in a short while, and hopefully with the launch of Bakkt prices should rally more.

Does anyone know of a good EOS and Monero or LTC supporting wallet that works well on phone and has a really good exchange rate? I try to keep all my btc these days, well actually I try to keep everything but more relaxed about exchanging my Monero and LTC. But I hate the hassle of going to an exchange, but it's the only way to save fees.

Sorry if it seems a bit outside of topic but thought maybe EOS dicers might know:)

@slaman29 you can check the below link for eos wallets, alternatively you can post this query in the alt coin section for more suggestions.

Issue is being fixed currently.

@BoXXoB thanks for providing an fresh update, hopefully these issues will resolve soon.

5404  Other / Politics & Society / Re: world Strongest leader? on: September 13, 2019, 12:15:35 PM
Probably Xi Jinping for me. Second place would be Putin. The reason being they are both in control of very powerful countries, and they are both intelligent and know what they are doing. This is why I'd put Trump further down the list. He's only in charge because Putin wanted him there.

Putin I would put ahead of Xi Jinping, were it not for the fact that China is more powerful than Russia.

This literally isn't true in the least. This is something that liberals like to say, but it's not something which is true in the least.

It was shown in multiple reports that Putins goal was to sow division in the US, not to put a certain candidate into the office.

I'm not sure whether this is true or not, I've certainly heard the speculation, but I would agree that Trump isn't intelligent enough to be the world's most powerful leader. I suppose it does all come down to the definition of powerful, which obviously can be taken in many ways. If it is in terms of influence, then I would agree the Chinese leader is #1. China's activities in the South China Sea alone are quite astonishing. So I would say Xi is #1 for me too, with the qualification that really whoever is in charge of China would take the top spot, whether it's Xi or someone else.

Trump is the Worlds strongest leader according to me, because he’s forced all the world leaders to either accept his terms or face his wrath. If I remember correctly Kim was ruling North Korea with a free hand and no US president tried to step up to him, but Trump forced him to bend down. Russia and US didn’t have friendly relations, but Trump seduced Putin and now Russia and US have better relationship with each other. Lastly how can I forget Xi Jinping who’s at the receiving end of Trump’s trade war, and to save China’s economy he’s reduced tariffs on few goods.

My picks of match day 5 for this week's Majestic 7:

Salah
Vardy
Stevens
Abraham
Richarlison
Aubameyang
Haller

This is it!  The 1 BTC winnar!  Lol.  Share your picks!

I'm on this, was very conflicted this week but here's to hoping:

Salah
Rashford
Robinson
Abraham
Richarlison
Aubameyang
Haller

Let's get it!

I have predicted Pulisic to score a couple of times already for Chelsea and neglected Abraham. I am afraid if I pick Abraham this time it is actually going to be Pulisic who gets a goal.
It is time for Rashford to show his class. He is my pick to get one past Leicester. I will decide on the rest later.

It seems to me that we have selected almost similar players except I’m choosing Pulisic over Abraham, just a gut feeling he’ll score this weekend. Rashford is currently out of form, and he’s up against a side who’s yet to loose in the premier league hence I feel this is the perfect opportunity for him to score a goal and silence his critics. Also I’m thinking of choosing Martial or Greenwood over Vardy, what do you’ll think will it pay off for me or it’s too risky selecting one of them.
5406  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: September 13, 2019, 05:42:11 AM
Is anyone here taking advantage of the 4% interest we can earn on our BTC?

I have started a new strategy where I am sending my BTC I earn from faucets over to FreeBitcoin to build up my BTC balance so that I can earn more from the 4% interest. By doing this I am risk free as I haven't put in my own BTC but only time spent on claiming from faucets. I started just a few weeks ago and have already built my balance up to close to 0.005. People say that faucets are a waste of time but that's how I got started and now I'm doing pretty good for myself all thanks to faucets. Even people can claim from Altcoin faucets and sell for BTC on exchanges and then have that BTC sent to FreeBitcoin to earn from the 4% interest.
I'm doing something similar for a long time already. But now I don't claim from faucets so actively as in past. Now mainly I just claim from Freebitco.in and don't withdraw it. Faucet payments are little nowadays, so 0.005 BTC in few weeks is not bad.
When Freebitco.in released plans about rebranding, they planned to add more coins to their website like Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Doge. If it will be implemented, we will be able to deposit these coind to Freebitco.in directly and choose in which coin to receive interest. I'm just not sure if they are still planning to do this thing.

That’s a smart strategy and I did that when the interest rates were first announced, back then I was able to claim 300 to 500 Satoshis per hour and then I simply kept the earnings on freebitco and got decent interest from them. I’m surprised to see your earnings from faucets, as they’re really big considering these days we only get to claim 7 Satoshis per hour.

Really? It's the first time I've heard about this. Is there any link to an announcement or any other thing help me for more details?

@LTU_btc even I wish to see the link as I have some bitcoin cash lying around, would be nice to earn some interest on it.
5407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: September 12, 2019, 04:11:53 PM
Already one wicket down for England. Denley out. If they lose 2 more wickets, they'll be under pressure and they by all means need to make 350-400+ runs to have a chance in the first innings. There are barely any chances of rain so it will be a complete 5 day match without any interruption.

England is off to a good start, and they are currently 107/2. This is perhaps the best start they have got so far in the current Ashes series. Joe Root is still there and Ben Stokes is yet to bat. So if everything goes well, then they may be able to score in excess of 300 (most probably in excess of 400). And that would give a lot of confidence to their deflated bowlers, especially Jofra Archer and Stuart Broad. The English bowlers just need to pick one wicket (that of Steve Smith). And IMO, it is possible as I am still of the opinion that Smith is a human rather than an alien. Just pick that one wicket cheaply and the Brits will be able to get Australia out for less than 200.

@bryant.coleman you spoke too soon as England are now struggling at 205 for 7, for some weird reason they have been unable to tackle Australian bowlers during this series. I don’t think England will be able to score more than 300+ runs now, and that’ll further put pressure on their bowlers. Smith has been in phenomenal form in the entire series, and it’ll take something special from England bowlers to dismiss him cheaply.
5408  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase and my issue with centralized services (banks) on: September 12, 2019, 12:54:19 PM
As written in this article, banks will always attempt to maintain a hold on the people but when there's a will there's a way;

===
"Barclays Bank, one of the largest banking institutions in the world, will no longer be providing banking services to Coinbase UK.

CoinDesk first reported the details of the split, adding that the exchange has signed up with a replacement banking partner known as ClearBank.

Coinbase started banking with Barclays in 2018, in a deal which pioneered the relationship between British banks and cryptocurrency exchanges. The partnership connected the exchange to the U.K’s. Faster Payments Scheme (FPS)— a move that allowed users to make instant pound sterling deposits and withdrawals on Coinbase.

The exact reasons behind the split remain unknown, but it seems to have been in the works for some time. Late in July 2019, Coinbase announced that it would be removing FPS access for Coinbase UK customers, although Coinbase Pro customers weren’t affected. It didn’t provide any reasons at the time, but in retrospect, the move seems to have been the beginning of the end for its relationship with Barclays.

However, it is expected that by partnering with ClearBank, Coinbase will be able to get its FPS access reinstated."
===

The issue with these centralized exchanges and having 100% control over your money and how you choose to spend it is the main reason why bitcoin and the technology is a thing. So no matter how these banks try their hardest to clamp down on crypto, their pressure will force more innovation that will lead to online financial freedom!

They are losing control of the people and their $$$

Barclays Bank have made a stupid decision, and they’ll loose many potential clients who would have loved to use crypto and fiat services at the same time. It’ll be interesting to see how Coinbase works with ClearBank, and if their partnership becomes successful then I’m sure other banks will also want to tie up with crypto exchanges.

5409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 12, 2019, 10:25:29 AM
Watford manager Javi Gracia was given the sack by the club cos of their bad start.
I was gonna ask who were the candidates to replace him and the odds but it looks like Watford didn't waste any time a appointed Quique Sanchez Flores as new head coach.

I honestly thought the first manager to get the sack this season was going to be Steve Bruce, but oh well, Solskjaer or Lampard is next IMO  Tongue the former @5/1 odds on Sky Bet.

Yup.  Should be good to anticipate (got a bet vs DeathAngel).

Anyway, with everything as they are right now, who do you think is gonna get the sack first...  Lampard or Solksjaer?

Solksjaer is getting the sack before the end of the season, I’m sure of it. He has no experience of winning stuff in management. The advantage Lampard has is that he’s only just gone there. Solksjaer has been drunk at the wheel since last season & it’s not getting any better. I dunno how long the Man Utd board will accept his mediocrity.

@DeathAngel Solskjaer may survive this season because he’s a fan favourite, unless fans turn on him and call for his sacking he’ll remain the coach at the end of the season. Lampard on the other hand was promised he would not get sacked this season, hence I don’t think he’ll get the sack too.

Barcelona failed to get Neymar out of Paris Saint-Germain in the summer market.
~

According to FOX https://www.foxsports.it/2019/09/03/neymar-2020-possibile-addio-psg-prezzo-decide-fifa/ Barca will talk to FIFA to get Neymar for only 170m €.

You can search "Neymar FIFA 170" on google to get this news on your language.

I don't really know more about this but was news born from "Mundo Depurtivo".

If Barca will sell "Coutinho" for 80-100 M €, it will be economical doable buy Neymar on next session.

@coinlocket$ Neymar will head to Barcelona in the summer window, the only way Barcelona will buy him in January window is if their season is in a mess or Messi gets injured for the long term.

5410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 12, 2019, 06:50:43 AM

In my opinion, the only possible way to take DeGea is to sell Szczesny.

You can't put 2 (expensive) roosters in the same house.

This may later be done by the Juventus. You're right, there's no way De Gea and Szczesny will be in the same place. I did not realize that the De Gea 4 - 5 year Contract reached 100 million.

If Juventus still want to get de gea, they inevitably have to sell Szczesny.

@stigmacryptonight if De Gea indeed signs for Juventus as a free agent, then they’ll have to sell Szczesny to balance their books. It’s pertinent to note that he has not agreed to sign for Juventus, as Manchester United are doing all they can to tie De Gea to a new contract. Juventus will become very strong if they can land him as he’s one of the best goal keepers in the world.

Hazard is the only reason for my recent interest in the league and it's just to watch him perform. I'll be routing for Real Madrid so I wish all their fans the best although it'll be a tough battle like I said earlier, Barcelona have invested so much to not win the league. Wish Real Madrid the best though for Hazard. #HalaMadrid
Welcome to the Club  Grin

It's sad thou that you missed that glorious period of rivalry in terms of unbelievable stats, record breakings, Spectacularly consistent non-stop performances from season to season between Messi and Ronaldo. Especially beginning from 2009. Ronaldinho had Just left Barcelona and Messi was now the fan favourite. Real Madrid was just getting a new start after a galactico star-studded Era had come to an end.

As a long term Real Madrid fan, i must say i was lucky to witness all the history making during that period and i don't know whether i will see anything of that sort again.

@logfiles I started watching Real Madrid games because of Ronaldo, and he indeed took La Liga by storm from 2009 - 2018. I’m not expecting Hazard to fire this season as he’s gained lots of extra weight, plus his recent injuries will effect his performances. Atletico Madrid are the real contenders for the title, Real Madrid may finish second or third as I don’t believe they can win the league with their current squad.

Got a chance to signed up to the site. Overall, I love how the website's graphic is attractive. I am still exploring the site though not yet familiar with the dice's design but I can still manage it by practicing. Anyway, I asked the support team in chat if the site has a faucet to claim for us to test the games, good thing the support replied fast but unfortunately there is no faucet claim.

@Moiyah there’s no need for faucet on Bitdice, as you’re a new user you already would have got some funds to test the site. If you want to get more free funds then simply be active on the chat, and their rainbot will give you lots of free coins.

Is this the best flaw he can find? The fractional banking system might take a longer time to explain, however, that did not stop the people from applying for fiat loans hehe.

Ran NeuNer, the host of CNBC’s Crypto Trader, is honing on a big flaw and a big challenge for the cryptocurrency industry: conveyance. In a tweet to his 109,000 followers, NeuNer says that cryptocurrency is hard to explain.

One of the biggest flaws of crypto is that it is so difficult to explain quickly to a lay person. When people ask me to explain Bitcoin to them I know it’s going to take at least an hour before they really understand it.

@bbc.reporter it doesn’t really matter if they don’t understand it, because all they care is about making more money and they understand that if they invest in bitcoins they’ll make loads of money . Truth be told many people who invest in stock market do not understand how it works, yet they’ll invest in it because it’ll make them lots of money same theory applies to bitcoins too.
5414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: September 10, 2019, 05:22:21 PM
This to me is a traditional view which remains persistent until the very day.

My mother considered gambling as playing with money. She sternly reminded us not to gamble. When I was in college, there was a hot debate within the church whether or not to accept donations coming from dirty sources such as gambling. And in Islam, gambling (maysir) is haram (forbidden). [1]

I have a friend whose father would not serve the family food bought using gambling money.

And just a few years ago, our Education Secretary shunned billions of state-funds because they are coming from gambling. She didn't think it moral and proper to buy books and even build classrooms using the dirty gambling money. [2]

What are your thoughts on these? Do you agree with it, or you consider these as old-fashioned views?

I completely disagree with this notion that Gambling is dirty money, we gamblers don’t steal money and play with it rather we play using our hard earned savings. Religion beliefs are not always right and people should not follow them blindly, they should use logic and then make an opinion about it.

as much as 99% of all crypto assets will be forgotten in five years time.
https://www.newsbtc.com/2019/09/03/peter-brandt-99-of-altcoins-will-be-forgotten-in-five-years/
I don't think so about this point, many altcoins will be forgotten but many altcoins can appear and replace it. As we know everyday appear new altcoins with new project so i think altcoin will be survive in the future.
as in ordinary business, many campaigns close and new ones replace them. this is a common situation and each of us must be prepared for such events and be very adaptable

This is quite possible as many alt coins have come and gone, and it’s impossible to keep a track of all the alt coins available in the market for a normal investor. The problem with these alt coins is lack of demand, and they’re not easy to sell hence investors are bound to forget them. However I don’t agree with the number 99% as popular alts like Ethereum, Lite Coin will always be brought and sold by the investors.
5416  Economy / Economics / Re: China launching its own crypto currency ? on: September 10, 2019, 10:25:45 AM
China is all set to launch its own crypto currency for more than 1 billion of its population how will it effect the crypto market ?

Only citizen's of China will benefit to it and I don't think it can be used outside the country or used for trading. If it can't be used globally then it won't affect the crypto market. Their own cryptocurrency is centralized just like facebook's libra coin so ethereum and bitcoin will still remain the top cryptocurrencies for me.

More info about China's own crypto currency here: https://www.forbes.com/sites/rogerhuang/2019/08/14/chinas-digital-currency-is-unlikely-to-be-a-cryptocurrency/#3fcfdd036a52

Scary times for Chinese citizens. At first they might not realize that with how used they are to platforms such as WeChat and AliPay, but they're definitely going to notice when people are being censored when sending money to recipients the government doesn't like. Another thing is that they can easily analyze your spending behavior to either sell it to third parties or abuse it themselves.

People in China should do everything they can to buy themselves as many Bitcoins as possible locally while physical cash is still a thing. Bitcoin will be the only bit of financial freedom that they have left.

As for the impact on crypto, I think it will be negligible at first, but may prevent future adoption from Chinese citizens if every single mainstream exchange ends up on their blacklist.

China’s crypto currency won’t have any immediate effect on the crypto market, because their crypto will be a centralised one and the Chinese people may even reject this crypto. However in the long run if their government withdraws cash and forces them to use their centralised coins only then crypto market may be effected. @1Referee you’re absolutely correct with your analysis that the Chinese government intends to keep complete tabs where their citizens are spending their money, and this wont bode well for the Chinese citizens.

5417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin get banned worldwide? on: September 10, 2019, 07:05:18 AM
Bitcoin will get banned in a certain country since the governments of the world are really against the Bitcoin for it would erase the banking system and the government could not get taxes from it but it would not get banned worldwide.

@saaayyyeeel there’s no mechanism to ban bitcoins, even if the governments were to ban bitcoins on paper how will they be able to stop the transactions. The biggest benefit that bitcoin has that no one knows who’s trading with whom, hence the government will never be able to find the identity of the person’s who are buying and selling it. Also many banks are now allowing their clients to hold money in bitcoins, hopefully all the countries will soon realise that they should legalise bitcoins and earn from it rather than ban it.

@TomerX you can buy it from local bitcoins, though I’m not sure what’s the age limit to buy bitcoins there read their terms and conditions before you make a purchase. Then you could head out to currency exchange section here and buy it from reputed seller like @Naster, I have had multiple deals with him all went well. 5419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did you know about Bitcoin before becoming a bitcoiner? on: September 09, 2019, 05:24:47 PM
This is a question to people who at some point discovered Bitcoin, but only became Bitcoin enthusiasts later - what was your experience?

I'll start with my story - I have first learned about Bitcoin in 2012 when I was looking for payment options for one online deal. In the end I used some other payment options, and Bitcoin didn't catch my interest, although I did claim a 0.005 BTC faucet once.

Then in 2014 I have learned about Dogecoin, and I still have vague understanding of cryptocurrency, I traded my BTC for DOGE and even tried to mine DOGE on my GPU. Then I quickly forgot about crypto again.

After that Bitcoin caught my attention in 2016 and I finally became a bitcoiner.

Looking back at all this, I wonder why it took me so long to became more involved in Bitcoin. What if millions of other people know about Bitcoin, but don't consider it as payment option or investment or store of value - how can we catch their attention?

I had come across bitcoins way back in 2011 when someone offered me some Satoshis, instead of paying me money via PayPal however I turned it down because I wasn’t aware what it was. When i came to this forum in 2016 suddenly I realised what it was, and how holding it would change my life. The only way to catch their attention is to show what we brought with it, like I have brought IPhone X, Fitbit and other gadgets with it and I show these to all and suddenly they want to know more about bitcoins.

Instead of asking this, why dont you take look on their site? I do not think that it will do bad to you. As far as I know you can see what games that they provide just by browse it through the site and everything will be there. So why dont you try it before asking some of this question again for the next time.

Anyway, how things going with bitdice lately? Why I only saw 35 people online?

Bitdice seems fine, you only need to see the bet ID and wager leaderboard for proof that there is always a lot of people playing online! I believe that number is not exactly representative of activity, whether at BD or at other sites. For example at BD it's always generally above 30, but I think so many lurkers don't even go to chat (the whale activity is proof!). And at other sites you see many more online but even their admins know it's actually just a lot of multis hoping to catch rain;)

@slaman29 I’ll second that indeed traffic is high at Bitdice, they recently had to update thier server which means more users are active on the site. Also one thing I would like to add that many of the users are old, which means they’re able to retain their existing members. Along with that they’re also are able to attract new members and whales continuously, and this you can check by seeing the latest bets by login in the site.
